성경적 상담을 활용한 기독교 부모교육 프로그램의 개발 및 효과 = (The) development and effectiveness of the Christian parenting education program adapting the biblical counseling

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 기독교 부모교육 이론에 근거하여 성경적 상담을 활용한 기독교 부모교육 프로그램을 개발하고, 이러한 기독교 부모교육 프로그램이 기독교인 어머니들의 자녀양육 스트레스와 자녀양육행동, 그리고 부모역할 만족도에 효과적인지를 알아보는 것이다.
이를 위해 일반 부모교육 프로그램의 이론들과 성경적 상담학을 고찰한 후 각각의 내용을 적용하여 기독교 부모교육 프로그램의 이론을 확립하였고, 이를 토대로 기독교 부모교육 프로그램을 개발하여 실시하였다.
본 연구의 대상은 서울시에 소재한 기독교 정신을 이념으로 설립된 기독교 유아교육기관 세 곳의 만 3, 4, 5세 유아의 어머니 57명으로 실험집단에 29명을, 통제집단에 28명을 무선 배정하였다. 기독교 부모교육 프로그램의 효과를 측정하기 위한 연구 도구로는 Abidin(1990)이 개발한 양육 스트레스 척도를 기독교인 부모에게 적합하도록 수정․보완한 어머니의 자녀양육 스트레스 척도, 박성연과 이숙(1990)이 개발한 자녀양육행동 척도를 기독교인 부모에게 적합하도록 수정․보완한 어머니의 자녀양육행동 척도, 그리고 연미희(1994)가 Cleminshaw와 Guidubaldi(1989)의 척도를 수정하여 개발한 것을 본 연구자가 기독교인 부모에게 적합하도록 다시 수정․보완한 어머니의 부모역할 만족도 척도가 사용되었다. 연구절차는 실험집단과 통제집단에 사전검사를 실시하여 두 집단의 동질성을 확인한 후, 기독교 부모교육 프로그램을 실험집단에 한하여 주 1회 2시간 30분씩 총 8회를 실시하였다. 프로그램이 종료된 후에는 두 집단에 모두 사후검사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS Win 12.0 프로그램을 사용하여 t-test를 하였다. 또한 과정평가 질문지, 과제, 포커스 그룹을 참고하여 프로그램 실시 전과 실시 후의 자녀양육 스트레스, 자녀양육행동, 부모역할 만족도에 대한 부모들의 응답을 함께 제시하였다.
본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 본 연구에서 개발한 기독교 부모교육 프로그램에 참여한 어머니들의 자녀양육 스트레스는 감소되었다. 프로그램에 참여하기 전과 참여한 후의 자녀양육 스트레스를 비교한 결과, 실험집단 어머니들의 자녀양육 스트레스에서 통계적으로 유의한 점수의 차이가 나타났다(t=-2.920, p<.01). 반면 통제집단 어머니들의 자녀양육 스트레스는 변화가 없는 것으로 나타났다.
구체적으로 기독교 부모교육 프로그램에 참여한 어머니들은 자녀양육 스트레스에 대한 객관적인 분석과 평가를 통해 문제의 근원을 인식하고, 부모 자신의 내적 성찰과 이 과정에서 실제로 역사하시는 성삼위 하나님의 은혜를 깨닫는 기회를 갖게 됨으로써 자녀양육 스트레스가 감소되었다.
둘째, 기독교 부모교육 프로그램에 참여한 어머니들의 자녀양육행동은 긍정적인 방향으로 변화되었다. 프로그램에 참여하기 전과 참여한 후의 자녀양육행동을 비교한 결과, 실험집단 어머니들의 자녀양육행동에서 통계적으로 유의한 점수의 차이가 나타났다(t=3.554, p<.01). 반면 통제집단 어머니들의 자녀양육행동은 변화가 없는 것으로 나타났다.
기독교 부모교육 프로그램에 참여한 어머니들은 기독교인 부모로서 자녀를 하나님의 말씀대로 키우기 위한 성경적인 자녀양육행동을 배우고 이를 개인의 자녀양육 상황에 적용하게 되었다. 또한 부모가 먼저 하나님을 기쁘시게 하고 하나님께 영광 돌리는 삶을 사는 것이 자녀양육 과정에서 가장 중요하다는 것을 인식하게 되었다.
셋째, 기독교 부모교육 프로그램에 참여한 어머니들의 부모역할 만족도는 증가되었다. 프로그램에 참여하기 전과 참여한 후의 부모역할 만족도를 비교한 결과, 실험집단 어머니들의 부모역할 만족도에서 통계적으로 유의한 점수의 차이가 나타났다(t=3.487, p<.05). 반면 통제집단 어머니들의 부모역할 만족도는 변화가 없는 것으로 나타났다.
이 과정에서 기독교 부모교육 프로그램에 참여한 어머니들의 부모역할 개념은 기독교적인 시각으로 새롭게 정립되었다. 즉, 기독교인 부모의 정체성은 하나님의 대리자로서 그분의 자녀를 맡아 키우는 청지기적인 관점에서 비롯되며 부모-자녀 관계를 통해 하나님의 형상이 드러나야 한다는 것을 인식하였다.
결론적으로 기독교 부모교육 프로그램은 기독교인 부모들이 직면하고 있는 자녀양육 스트레스를 성삼위 하나님의 은혜와 능력을 통해 해결하고 성경적인 자녀양육행동을 습득하여 하나님이 기뻐하시는 부모역할을 수행하도록 촉진하는데 효과적이라고 할 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this research is to develop the Christian parenting education program adapting the Biblical counseling, based on Christian parenting education theory and to investigate how the Christian parenting education program is effective to the parenting stress, the child rearing behaviors, and the parental role satisfaction of Christian mothers.
To achieve this goal, after examining the theories of general parenting education program and Biblical counseling with its individual application, the theory of Christian parenting education program was established, and the Christian parenting education program was developed and practiced with this theoretical background.
The subjects of this research were the 57 mothers whose children are 3, 4, and 5 years old in Christian institutes, founded on the christianity background located in Seoul. The 29 mothers were assigned as the experimental group and the 28 mothers were allocated as the controlled group. The research tools for gauging the effects of Christian parenting education program were the mothers' parenting stress scale appropriate for Christian mothers, modified and complemented from mothers' parenting stress scale made by Abidin(1990), mothers' child rearing behavioral scale suitable for Christian mothers, modified and complemented from the one Seongyeon Park and Sook Lee(1990) created, and mothers' satisfactory scale for parents roles adequate for Christian mothers, modified and complemented from the one Mihee Yeon(1994) revised from Cleminshaw and Guidubaldi(1989)'s scale.
The procedure of the research is to perform the Christian parenting education program limited only to the experimental group one time per week, each one with two and a half hours, total eight times, after confirming the same quality by the advance test to the experimental and controlled group. The aftermath test were implemented to both of the groups after completing the program. T-test was conducted on the collected data with the use of SPSS Win 12.0 program. The responses of parents with parenting stress, their child rearing behaviors, and the parental role satisfaction were presented together before and after the program with the reference of procedural assessment questionnaire, assignments, and the focus group.
The results of this research are as follows:
First, the level of parenting stress of mothers participating in the Christian parenting educational program developed in this research has decreased. Compared to the parenting stress level before and after participating in this program, there was a trivial statistical difference in the parenting stress level of mothers in the experimental group(t=-2.920, p<.01). But it revealed that there is no change in the parenting stress of among the mothers of the controlled group. The mothers who take part in the Christian parenting education program recognized the source of problems through objective analysis and assessment about parenting stress. And the parenting stress was decreased through patent's inner reflex and chance to realize trinity God's grace.
Second, the mothers' child rearing behavior who take part in the Christian parenting education program was changed towards positive way. When mothers' child rearing behavior was contrasted between before and after taking part in the program, there were concrete distinction of meaning point in the statistics in the mothers of the experimental group(t=3.554, p<.01). But the child rearing behavior of the mothers of the controlled group was revealed as not changing. The mothers who take part in the Christian patenting education program become to learn about biblical child rearing behavior as Christian parents in order to rearing following God's words. And they can apply it to each person's child. They also come to recognize that it is most important thing to live in order to please and honor God in the process of child rearing.
Third, the parental role satisfaction of the mothers who take part in the Christian parenting education program was increased. As a result of the comparison of the parental role satisfaction between before and after taking part in program, the parental role satisfaction of the mothers of the experimental group showed the distinctive point difference in the statistics(t=3.487, p<.05). But the parental role satisfaction of the mothers of the controlled group was not changed. Through these process, the concepts about parental role of the mothers who take part in the Christian parenting education program was established newly. That is, they recognized that the identity of Christian parents come from the stewardship perspective rearing God's child as a God's representative and God's figure should be revealed through the relationship between parents and children.
In conclusion, this study shows that the Christian parenting education program is very effective to solve the parenting stress to which Christian parents face through trinity God's grace and power, and to encourage to perform parents' role which God is pleased through acquiring biblical child rearing behavior.
