      • 八味元이 Streptozotocin 糖尿病에 미치는 影響

        Streptozotocin was injected to rats and rabbits to induce the experimental diabetes mellitus and Palmiwon was administrated to observe the changes of blood sugar, body weight, and serum Zn, Ca, Mg level in order to find out the effect of diabetic tratment by experimental method. And thus, the result was as follows: 1. The blood sugar level of diabetic rat was decreased after administration of Palmiwon. 2. Body weight of diabetic rat was moderately decreased after administratin of Palmiwon. 3. The less streptozotocin, 30 mg/kg, don't easily induce diabetes mellitus in rabbits. We did not find the changes of blood sugar, serum Zn, Ca, Mg level in the rabbits injected by streptozotocin, 30mg/kg of body weight.

      • 데이터 글러브를 이용한 손 제스처 기반 3차원 게임 구현

        데이터 글러브(Data Glove)는 손 제스처를 정의하여 시스템을 제어하는 입력장치로 가상현실기술 및 교육, 의료, 산업분야에서 많이 사용되고 있다. 이는 가상현실 속에 존재하는 사물을 현실에서 제어하게 함으로써 사용자에게 마치 현실 세계의 사물을 제어하는 느낌을 주는 장점을 가지고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 이러한 데이터 글러브의 장점을 이용하여 3차원 게임에 적용시키는 방법을 제안한다. 먼저 데이터 글러브로 제스처를 정의하고, 트래커(Tracker)와 연동하여 시스템을 구현한다. 구현된 시스템을 실험하기 위해서 OpenGL로 인형 뽑기 게임을 구현하고 사용자가 데이터 글러브를 착용 후 정의된 제스처를 통해 게임을 제어하도록 한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 방법은 사용자들에게 좀 더 높은 몰입감을 제공하며, 향후 게임 산업 발전에도 많은 영향을 줄 것으로 기대한다.

        Whole-genome resequencing analysis of 20 Micro-pigs

        Background Miniature pigs have been increasingly used as mammalian model animals for biomedical research because of their similarity to human beings in terms of their metabolic features and proportional organ sizes. However, despite their importance, there is a severe lack of genome-wide studies on miniature pigs. Objective In this study, we performed whole-genome sequencing analysis of 20 Micro-pigs obtained from Medi Kinetics to elucidate their genomic characteristics. Results Approximately 595 gigabase pairs (Gb) of sequence reads were generated to be mapped to the swine reference genome assembly (Sus scrofa 10.2); on average, the sequence reads covered 99.15% of the reference genome at an average of 9.6-fold coverage. We detected a total of 19,518,548 SNPs, of which 8.7% were found to be novel. With further annotation of all of the SNPs, we retrieved 144,507 nonsynonymous SNPs (nsSNPs); of these, 5968 were found in all 20 individuals used in this study. SIFT prediction for these SNPs identified that 812 nsSNPs in 402 genes were deleterious. Among these 402 genes, we identified some genes that could potentially affect traits of interest in Micro-pigs, such as RHEB and FRAS1. Furthermore, we performed runs of homozygosity analysis to locate potential selection signatures in the genome, detecting several loci that might be involved in phenotypic characteristics in Micro-pigs, such as MSTN, GDF5, and GDF11. Conclusion In this study, we identified numerous nsSNPs that could be used as candidate genetic markers with involvement in traits of interest. Furthermore, we detected putative selection footprints that might be associated with recent selection applied to miniature pigs.

      • 모유 수유아와 조제 분유 영양아에서 수유 방법에 따른 아미노산 농도 비교 및 혈청 트립토판 농도와 수면 유도와의 관계

        Objective: Sleep behavior is modulated by serotonergic neurons within the brain, and the synthesis and release of serotonin by such neurons is thought to be influenced by the availability of tryptophan, the amino acid precursor of serotonin. Formula-feeding infants have depressed plasma tryptophan concentration relative to breast milk-feeding infants. Because tryptophan alters sleep waking patterns in adults, a study was designed to determine the difference of sleep latency relative to differences in plasma tryptophan and tryptophan : large neutral amino acid (LNAA) ratio between formula-feeding infants and breast milk-feeding infants. Method: 45 newborns who were born in Chosun University Hospital from December 2002 to December 2003 were selected. The newborns were divided to three group, 15 newborns were fed breast milk and 15 newborns were fed formula A, and last 15 newborns were fed formula B. At 6 weeks and 12 weeks, infants were sampled for measuring of serum amino acid level and tryptophan, tryptophan : LNAA ratio. And we taught infants' parents to measure sleep latency that means the time after a feeding to the first episode of active REM sleep that persist ≥ 1 min. Result: 1) At 6weeks, Serum α-amino-n-butyric acid, citrulline, tryptophan level was higher in formula A group than breastmilk group (P<0.05) and proline level was lower than breast milk group (P<0.05). In formula B group, serum n-amino-n-buryric acid, citrulline, cystine, hydroxylysine, hydroxyproline, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, taurine, threonine, valine levels were higher than breastmilk group (P<0.05). And Serum isoleucine, methionine, proline, valine level were higher in formula B group than formula A group (P<0.05). 2) At 12 weeks, serum glutamic acid, methionine, ornithine levels were higher in formula group A than breast milk group (P<0.05). Serum β-alanine, aspartic acid, α-amino-n-butyric acid, ethanolamine, glutamic acid, threonine level were higher in formula B group than breast milk group (P<0.05). Serum β-alanine, ethanolamine levels were higher and arginine level was lower in formula B group than formula A (P<0.05). 3) At 6 weeks, serum tryptophan concentration and tryptophan: LNAA ratio were higher in formula A group (P<0.05). Sleep latency was 21 minutes in formula group A, 24 minutes in breast milk group, 25 minutes in formula B group but there was no statistically significance (P>0.05). 4) At 12 weeks, serum tryptophan concentration and tryptophan: LNAA ratio, time after feeding to the first episode of active REM sleep were no difference with each other group. Conclusion: There is significant difference of serum amino acids between breast-feeding infants and formula-feeding infants. And serum tryptophan and tryptophan: LNAA ratio differ between brest-feeding infants and formula-feeding infants. But there is no association between serum tryptophan, tryptophan: LNM ratio and sleep latency.

        부식산의 광촉매 산화 공정에 도입된 여러 종류이 상용 TiO₂비교연구

        In this study, the effects of crystalinity, composition and particle size of TiO2 catalysts on the degradations of humic acid in aqueous solution was assessed using the commercially avaliable TiO2 particles. Photocatalytic oxidations of humid acid (HA, Aldrich Co.) solution were carried out in case of adding different types of TiO2 catalysts and their decomposition efficiencies were analyzed with respect to pH, DOC and UV absorbances values for the HA solutions and compared one another. The experimental results showed that TiO2 particles(Degussa P-25) mixed with anataze and rutile gave the highest degradation efficiencies, respectively and much lower degradation efficiency in TiO2 paticles of rutile only type. In comparing among ST series of anataze types, it was observed that the degradation efficiencies generally were increased with increasing TiO2 contents and surface area of the particles. Higher degradation efficiency of HA was also found in zeolite type(D-TZ) of TiO2 paticles compared with hydroxyapatite type (D-TH) of TiO2 particles.

        초등고학년 아동의 부-모애착, 또래애착, 교사애착이 행복감에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effects of self-regulation abilities on the relationships between parental attachment, peer attachment, teacher attachment and children``s happiness in elementary school students in higher grades. The subjects of this study were selected from 4th-6th grade students residing in Dae-gu and Kyung-buk using questionnaires from May 1st to July 1st in 2014. The statistical analysis program(SPSS) was used for analyzing the collected data from the research in correlation analysis. To examine the mediating effects of self-regulation abilities on the relationship between parental attachment, peer attachment and teacher attachment and children``s happiness, the Baron and Kenny(1986) model was used.. The results are as follows. First, in the case of father attachment, mother attachment, peer attachment, and teacher attachment, self-regulation abilities and children``s happiness, as perceived by higher grade elementary school children positive correlations were observed. Second, in terms of relative effects of father attachment, mother attachment, peer attachment and teacher attachment on children``s happiness, mother attachment was observed to have the most effect on children``s happiness. Third, self-regulation abilities, as perceived by the children, mediated the effect of father attachment, mother attachment, peer attachment, and teacher attachment amongst higher grade elementary school students and the subsequent affect on children``s happiness.

      • S-470 Relationships between blood pressure and clinico-pathological findings in IgA nephropathy

        Objective: Several factors contribute to the development of hypertension in patients with IgA nephropathy (IgAN). This study was conducted to find the relationships between baseline blood pressure (BP) and clinico-pathological findings in patients with IgAN and normal renal function. Design and Method: Clinico-pathological findings were analyzed in a total of 163 patients with IgAN and serum creatinine £ 1.1 mg/dL from The Kyung-Hee Cohort of Glomerulonephritis. The glomerular surface area (GSA) was determined using imaging analysis software. The serum and urine angiotensinogen (AGT) concentrations were measured using human ELISA kits.?Results: Mean serum creatinine concentration was 0.86 (0.5~1.1) mg/dL. Systolic BP was ≥ 130 mmHg in 72 patients (44%) and ≥ 140 mmHg in 42 (26%). Patients with systolic BP ≥ 130 mmHg as compared with those <130 mmHg had higher GSA and tubulointerstitial fibrosis and showed worse follow-up clinical findings: higher concentrations of serum creatinine, larger amount of proteinuria and lower levels of GFR. Systolic BP was positively correlated with age, baseline and follow-up proteinuria, serum uric acid concentrations and IgM deposit and negatively with follow-up GFR and the slope of change in 1/serum creatinine for 2 years, while it has no significant relationships with serum and urine AGT and 24 hour urinary sodium excretion. Conclusions: This study showed that systolic BP was associated with renal progression and pathological findings, glomerulomegaly and tubulointerstitial fibrosis, in patients with IgAN.

        Purpose: The purpose of this descriptive study is to examine the correlation between nursing students’ perception of nurses and the level of their satisfaction with the major. Method: The survey was done with the total number of 192 nursing students from 10 different universities in S city selected by a convenience samplingmethod. In order to measure the perception of nurses, the measurement which was invented by Lee(1992) and revised by Jang(1998) was used. Also, the measurement designed by Shim, and modified by Kim(2007) was used for measuring of the students’ satisfaction in their major. The collected data was analyzed by SPSS 17.0. Results: 1.The most decisive factor of the conceptualization of the image of nurses for the nursing college students is their experience of meeting nurses as a patient. 2. Students reconsider the role of nurses by experiencing immediate relationships with nurses in field training. 3. Other factors of the survey such as the students’academic year, religion, the field training situation (individual experience, type of the hospital where they experienced the training, and a relationship with the nurse in charge of the training) or the existence of nurses among their family members do not affect the students’ satisfaction. 4. There is a positive correlation between the image of nurses of nursing college students and their satisfaction with the major(0.66). Conclusion: The positive image of nurses is directly related to the students’ satisfaction in the nursing major, which hugely affects on their academic achievements and decisions of career path. Therefore, there should be more efforts to increase the positive perception of nurses among nursing students.

        Transition Characteristics and Risk Assessment of Heavy Metal(loid)s in Angelica gigas Nakai and Cnidium officinale Makino

        This study was conducted to identify transition characteristics of heavy metal(loid)s and to assess dietary risk in the Angelica gigas and Cnidium officinale grown at the major medicinal plant producing districts in Korea. Average bio-concentration factor (BCF) values and range were 0.056 (0.006-0.511) in arsenic (As), 2.030 (0.021-15.678) in cadmium (Cd), 0.179 (0.052-0.393) in mercury (Hg), and 0.061 (0.013-0.474) in lead (Pb) in Angelica gigas. Average BCF values and range were 0.044 (0.011-0.264) in As, 0.557 (0.052-4.255) in Cd, 0.174 (0.069-0.286) in Hg, and 0.024 (0.012-0.057) in Pb in Cnidium officinale. The BCF values by heavy metal(loid)s in Angelica gigas and Cnidium officinale were high in Cd, copper (Cu) and zinc (Zn), while As and Pb were found to be less transferable. The BCF values calculated in this study will be useful for predicting the uptake of heavy metal(loid)s. Human exposure to As, Cd, Hg, and Pb through dietary intake of Angelica gigas and Cnidium officinale might not cause adverse health effects although some Angelica gigas were higher than the allowable value for Cd. Further study on uptake and accumulation mechanism of Cd by Angelica gigas is required to assess the human health risk associated with soil contamination.
