For the studying of the histochemical properties in the intestinal mucosa of three teleostean species, i.e., Sparus swinhonis (Guenther), Erosa erosa (Langsdorf) and sebastes inermis (cuvier et valenciennes), the mucosubstances of them were stained with periodic acid schiff's reaction (PAS), alcian blue pH 2.5, alcian blue pH 0.4, aldehyde fuchsin pH 1.7, aldehyde fuchsin pH 1.0, alcian blue pH 2.5-PAS and aldehyde fuchsin pH 1.7-alcian blue pH 2.5 methods. The results were as follows: The striated border of intestinal tract was contained small amounts of strongly sulfated and neutral mucins in proximal and distal intestine and rectum of sebastes inermis, and rectum of Erosa erosa, while the middle intestine of Sparus swinhonis was contained large amounts of weakly sulfated and neutral mucins. The middle and distal intestine, and rectum of Erosa erosa, and distal intestine of Sebastes inermis was contained large amounts of strongly sulfated and neutral mucins, but proximal and middle intestine of sebastes inermis was contained large amounts of neutral mucin and minimal amounts of sulfated mucin. The mucosubstance of the goblet cells showed that all of the three species studied had a distinctly different distribution throughout the entire intestinal tract. In Sparus swinhonis, the proximal intestine was composed of three kinds of goblet cells: one in which minimal or small amounts of strongly sulfated mucin is mixed with neutral mucin, another having minimal amounts of weakly sulfated and neutral mucins, the other having only minimal or small amounts of nonsulfated mucin, but the former two types were much more than the last. The middle intestine was composed of goblet cells having only small or moderate amounts of nonsulfated mucin, having only small or moderate amounts of strongly sulfated mucin, and having minimal or small amounts of weakly sulfated and neutral mucins, but these two types were much more than the last in the number of cells. The goblet cells of distal intestine were coexisted with small amounts of strongly sulfated and neutral mucins, the majority of majority of goblet cells with more prominent of strongly sulfated mucin and a few goblet cells having only nonsulfated mucin, having small amounts of nonsulfated and neutral mucins, having minimal amounts of weakly sulfated and neutral mucins. But in the rectum, it was composed two types of goblet cells: one having small or moderate amounts of strongly sulfated mucin and minimal or small amounts of neutral mucins, while the other having small amounts of nonsulfated mucin or weakly sulfated and neutral mucins, and the former were much more than the latter. In Erosa erosa, the proximal, middle and distal intestines were composed of small or moderate amounts of nonsulfated and neutral mucins, the majority of goblet cells with more prominent of nonsulfated mucin and a minority of the goblet cells having minimal amounts of weakly or strongly sulfated and neutral mucins. But in the rectum were coexisted with small amounts of nonsulfated and neutral mucins, it was mixed three types of goblet cells, one having more prominent of nonsulfated mucins, another small amounts of strongly sulfated and neutral mucins, and the other minimal or small amount of weakly sulfated and neutral mucins, and these two types were much more than the last in the number of cells. In sebastes inermis, the proximal intestine was composed of goblet cells having only moderate to large amounts of neutral mucins, while a few cells minimal to small amounts of nonsulfated mucin or minimal amounts of weakly sulfated and neutral mucins. But in the middle intestine, it was mixed three different types of goblet cells: most cells having minimal to small amounts of nonsulfated and neutral mucins, while a few cells minimal amounts of strongly sulfated mucins or weakly sulfated and neutral mucins. In the distal intestine, it was composed of goblet cells: having small to moderate amounts of strongly sulfated mucin and small amounts of neutral mucins, having small amounts of weakly sulfated and neutral mucins, having minimal to small amount of weakly sulfated and neutral mucins, having minimal to small amounts of nonsulfated and neutral mucins, but the former two types were much more than the last type. In the rectum was mixed three types of goblet cells: most goblet cells having minimal to small amounts of strongly sulfated mucin or nonsulfated and neutral mucins, while a few cells minimal amounts of weakly sulfated and neutral mucins.

T-Cell Immunoglobulin Mucin 3 Expression on Tumor Infiltrating Lymphocytes as a Positive Prognosticator in Triple-Negative Breast Cancer

Purpose: T-cell immunoglobulin and mucin domain-containing molecule 3 (TIM-3) is an emerging immune response molecule related to T-cell anergy. There has been tremendous interest in breast cancer targeting immune checkpoint molecules, especially in the triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). This study was designed to investigate TIM-3 expression on tumor infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs), its relationships with clinicopathological parameters and expression of programmed death receptor 1 (PD-1)/ programmed death receptor ligand 1 (PD-L1), and its prognostic role. Methods: Immunohistochemistry on tissue microarray blocks produced from 109 samples of invasive ductal carcinoma type TNBC was performed with antibodies toward TIM-3, PD-1, PD-L1 and breast cancer-related molecular markers. Associations between their expression and clinicopathological parameters as well as survival analyses were performed. Results: TIM-3 was expressed in TILs from all 109 TNBCs, consisting of 17 cases (<5%), 31 cases (6%–25%), 48 cases (26%–50%), and 13 cases (>51%). High TIM-3 was significantly correlated with younger patients (p=0.0101), high TILs (p=0.0029), high tumor stage (p=0.0018), high PD-1 (p=0.0001) and high PD-L1 (p=0.0019), and tended to be associated with higher histologic grade, absence of extensive in situ components and microcalcification. High TIM-3 expression was significantly associated with a combinational immunophenotype group of high PD-L1 and high PD-1 (p<0.0001). High TIM-3 demonstrated a significantly better disease-free survival (DFS) (p<0.0001) and longer overall survival (OS) (p=0.0001), together with high TILs and high PD-1. In univariate survival analysis, high TIM-3 showed reduced relapse risk (p<0.0001) and longer OS (p=0.0003), together with high PD-1 expression. In multivariate analysis, high TIM-3 was statistically significant in predicting prognosis, showing better DFS (hazard ratio [HR], 0.0994; 95% confidence interval [CI], 0.0296–0.3337; p=0.0002) and longer OS (HR, 0.1109; 95% CI, 0.0314–0.3912; p=0.0006). Conclusion: In this study, we demonstrate that TIM-3 expression is an independent positive prognostic factor in TNBC, despite its association with poor clinical and pathologic features.

Eribulin Mesylate Combined with Local Treatment for Brain Metastasis from Breast Cancer: Two Case Reports

The prognosis associated with brain metastasis arising from breast cancer is very poor. Eribulin is a microtubule dynamic inhibitor synthesized from halichondrin B, a natural marine product. In a phase III study (EMBRACE), eribulin improved overall survival in patients with heavily pretreated metastatic breast cancers. However, these studies included few patients with brain metastases. Metastatic brain tumors (MBT) were detected during first-line palliative chemotherapy in a 43-year-old woman with breast cancer metastasis to the lung and mediastinal nodes; the genetic subtype was luminal B-like human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-negative. Whole brain radiotherapy (WBRT) followed by eribulin treatment continuously decreased the size, and induced regression, of the MBT with systemic disease stability for 12 months. Another 48-year-old woman with metastatic breast cancer (HER2+ subtype) presented with MBT. Following surgical resection of the tumor, eribulin with concurrent WBRT showed regression of the MBT without systemic progression for 18 months.

범이론적 모형에 기반한 대학 글쓰기 교육 체제 모색

This study focused on the need for a systematic approach to university writing education along with quantitative and qualitative diversification. Therefore, it aims to explore the structure of university writing education. Based on the Transtheoretical Model, which explains the principles of human behavior change and the process of change from an integrated perspective, a university writing education system was proposed and its effectiveness was explored. Based on the review of research trends in college writing and the transtheoretical model, this study suggested a college writing education system. The college writing education system of this study has the structure of Plan-Develop and Construct-Evaluation. First, in the Plan stage, the performance objectives are written based on the core educational goals of college writing. In the Develop and Construct stages, the program is largely composed of three stages based on the transtheoretic model. Finally, in the Evaluation stage, the program is evaluated holistically. And refluxed by correcting the program based on the evaluation result and complement. This study has the significance of contributing to the systematization of university writing education by suggesting a university writing education system based on the Transtheoretical model and proving its necessity and effectiveness. 이 연구는 대학 글쓰기 교육이 양적⋅질적 다양화와 더불어 교육과정 수준에서의 체제적 접근이 이루어져야 할 필요성에 주목하여, 이에 기여할 수 있는 대학글쓰기 교육 구조를 탐색하는 것을 목표로 한다. 이를 위해 인간 행동 변화의 원칙과 변화 과정을 통합적 관점에서 설명하는 범이론적 모형(Transtheoretical Model)에 기반하여 대학 글쓰기 교육 체제를 제시하고, 그 효과성을 탐색하였다. 대학 글쓰기 교수법 연구 동향에 대한 고찰과 범이론적 모형 탐색을 바탕으로본 연구는 대학 글쓰기 교육 체제를 제시했다. 본 연구의 대학 글쓰기 교육 체제는 계획-개발 및 적용-평가의 구조를 지닌다. 먼저 계획 단계에서 대학 글쓰기의중핵적 교육 목표를 바탕으로 성취 목표를 구성한다. 이후 개발 및 적용 단계에서범이론적 모형에 기반하여 프로그램을 크게 3단계로 구성한다. 마지막으로 평가단계에서는 프로그램에 대한 총체적 평가를 하고, 평가 결과를 바탕으로 프로그램을 수정 보완함으로써 환류 체계를 갖춘다. 이 연구는 범이론적 모형에 기반하여 대학 글쓰기 교육 체제를 제시하고 그것의 필요성과 효용성을 입증하여, 대학 글쓰기 교육의 체계화에 기여했다는 의의를지닌다.

농촌 단독주택 부출입문의 기능 및 이용변화에 대한 사례조사

In contrast to apartments, detached houses offer the possibility of more than one entrance connecting interior and exterior spaces. This study examines the location, function, and use of second doors in detached houses in rural areas. The study employs survey and interviews conducted in 2015, focusing on 18 detached houses among 40 houses previously surveyed in 1995. In 1995, 21 second doors were found, while in 2015, 19 were found. The study led to the following conclusions. First, most houses did have second doors installed by 1995 or 2015. Second doors tended to be installed in kitchen and utility rooms. The function of second doors was most closely connected to the kitchen because utility rooms were placed adjacent to kitchens. Secondly, changes in the use and number of second doors were changes in family life cycle and composition, the need for new equipment facilities, the use of new architectural materials, and the installation of new second doors for extension of space. Finally, exterior spaces accessed by second doors tend to be a meeting of semi-interior or semi-exterior space and exterior space only. Those spaces tended to be designed for kitchen fixtures or to support kitchen activities.

The purpose of this study is to investigate installation status of information facilities and condition of walking road influencing to psychological safety of walking tourists. For this purpose, four roads for walking tour are selected; the course no. 16 of Jeju Olle Trail, Sarabong Byeoldobong walkway in Jeju and the course no. 8 of Bougil, Gyeongpo Lake walkway in Gangneung. Facilities installed on roads for walking tour are classified into four facilities; safety facility, information facility, amenity facility, local cultural facility. In order to consider installation status of information facilities and condition of walking road influencing to psychological safety of walking tourist, a field experiment was conduced focusing on the course no. 16 of Jeju Olle Trail. Thirteen cases were happened as confusing situation while walking tour. Of the 13 cases, the situation of being lost and wandering on the trail accounted for six cases. In contrast to the expectation that the situation of being lost and wandering would occur only at a crossroads, it is not that such situation took place at specific places like a crossroads or where direction signs were inaccurate. Walking tourists of this field experiment also confronted situations of having lost confidence about continuing the ongoing direction, of having anxiety over walking a walking trail, of feeling discomfort caused by walking and of being offended by uncomfortable or messy areas of walking trial. These confusing situations are happened inappropriate installation of direction sign, so direction sign is needed to install more carefully and detailed.
