본 논문에서는 멀티스케일 피크해석을 이용한 심전도 데이터 압축방법을 제안한다. 대칭의 평활화 함수의 2차 도함수를 기본 웨이브렛 함수로 하고, 웨이브렛 극대치 표현을 멀티스케일 피크해석이라 정의한다. 심전도의 웨이브렛 변환에서는 P파에서 T파까지의 다섯 파형의 시작점, 피크점, 종료점에서의 극대치가 발생한다. 웨이브렛 극대치의 수는 원신호의 표본수보다 적게 되리라고 예상할 수 있다. 웨이브렛 극대치로부터 고정도로 원신호복원이 가능하다. 따라서 웨이브렛 극대치표현은 심전도의 데이터 압축과 해석을 동시에 할 수 있다. 압축데이터에도 QRS파의 피크가 보존되기 때문에 압축데이터로부터 직접 심전도의 이상유무를 판단할 수 있다. 압축결과 정상심전도 데이터에 대해 1/10의 압축을 실현한다. This paper presents an ECG data compression technique by the multiscale peak analysis. The multiscale peak analysis is defined as the wavelet maxima representation of which the basic wavelet is the second derivative of a symmetric smoothing function. The wavelet transform of an ECG shows maxima at the start, peak and stop points of five transient waves P through T. The number of wavelet maxima is expected to be less than the number of original data samples. The wavelet maxima can be enough to reconstruct original signals precisely. The wavelet maxima representation can hence lead to the ECG data compression and analysis. The compressed data still keep the peaks of QRS waves, abnormal behavior search will be feasible in practice. The result of the compression shows that a normal ECG data is compressed by a factor 10.

Tracking method, one of the simplest analog-to-digital Conversters (ADC), is redesigned using adaptive delta modulation(ADM). That ADC shows the improvement in various kinds of conversion errors, particularly in the slope overload error, therefore that shows the capability to expand the dynamic range(DR) which is the worst error in tracking method. Further study area in this field is another tracking method using asynchronous DM.

In a previous study, an investigation of occupant behaviors and injuries (to the head and chest) was performed during vehicle impact loading cases in order to ensure the safety of wheelchair passengers on a bus. The computational results showed overall safety tolerances of wheelchair occupants under different accident configurations. The bus crashworthiness is described as the capability of a bus to protect occupants during rollover loadings. The residual space containing occupants should be undamaged without any intrusions. However it is necessary to evaluate the residual space according to the bus occupant kinematic analysis under the rollover crash simulation. This study focuses on the evaluation of occupant behaviors during rollover loading cases in order to ensure the safety of bus passengers sitting in general seats and wheelchairs and evaluates the residual space of the bus by analyzing the bus occupant kinematics.

The practical method to detect leadwire-sites on PCB by image processing is described in this paper. The method is the first step of researching for the purpose of developing an automatic leadwire cutting machine. A PCB on which many long leadwires remain, is setup on a turntable and the turntables is continously ticked with arbitrary angle, and a perspective front-view is taken at every ticking position. It this paper, both some problems on taking front-view images and the method of deciding a binarizing threshold gray-level were discussed. As a result of simulations and experiments, the proposed technique turns out to be very useful for automatic leadwire cutting machines.

Occupant behaviors and body contact with vehicle interior parts are main injury mechanism in far-side collisions. In vehicle side impact accident where the crash accident occurs on the opposite side of the vehicle from the a particular occupant, it is exposed in terms of relatively larger lateral motion to interact with the opposite side of the vehicle structure. The challenge of minimizing motions of upper body and injury risk according to a direct contact is a primary occupant protection research. This study has performed a data analysis of real-world accident database extracted from the 2016~2020 CISS database and a parametric investigation of impact angles and occupant kinematics in far-side lateral and oblique impact simulations. A detailed data analysis was conducted to reveal the relationship among the accident and injury data. Database analysis and computational far-side impact results proposed the fundamental vehicle design for safety improvement in far-side collisions.
미세한 임펄스성 잡음이 혼입된 영상의 잡음제거와 에지검출

본 논문에서는 영상에 미세한 양의 임펄스 잡음이 혼입되었을 때, 에지정보를 보존하고 잡음을 제거하는 방법을 제안했다. 인위적으로 256×256 Lenna 영상을 하나의 수평방향으로 하나의 화소만큼 퍼지게 한 다음에, 잡음이 혼입된 영역을 검색한다. 검색된 부분은 3×1 창의 미디언 필터로 필터링을 한다. 성능평가를 위해서, 3×3 창의 미디언 필터와 제안된 방법을 NMSE와 에지영상으로 비교를 했다. 실험 결과 제안된 방법이 에지를 효율적으로 보존하고, 동시에 임펄스성 잡음이 제거됨을 보여준다. In this paper, a method to increase edge-preserving rates when noises were removed from images which were corrupted with a few impulse noise, is proposed. For 256×256 Lenna image, impulse noise was artificially spread by a pixel in horizontal direction using BWT and a morphological operation. Then corrupted pixel areas is searched, and the areas is processed by 3×1 median filter. For performance evaluation we used NMSE and edges of image to make a comparison between 3×3 mask median filter and a proposed method. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm removes impulse noise from a degraded image as well as to preserves edges effectively.
