쇼트피닝 가공 최적조건 탐색을 위한 실험적 연구

The shot peening process is most often used to improve fatigue properties of metal parts. In order to achieve optimum, repeatable and reliable fatigue enhancement from the shot peening process, the important shot peening parameters must be controlled. In this paper, the optimum shot peening condition is investigated. Rotary bending fatigue test was accomplished to investigate the effects of shot peening on the fatigue strength. Experimental results show that the fatigue strength was tremendously increased by optimum peening.

인슐린 비의존형 당뇨병 환자에서 혈장 Endothelin-1농도의 변화

Endothelin(ET) is a 21-residue peptide originally isolated from the cultured porcine endothelial cells. There are at least three genes for endothelin:endothelin-1(ET-1), endothelin-2(ET-2), and endothelin-3(ET-3). Endothelins are present in various human biological fluids including plasma, urine, breast milk, and saliva and have been found elevated plasma ET concentrations in patients with diabetes mellitus, Patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis due to chronic renal failure, patients with acute myocardial infarction, and patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage. Endothelial cell damage is suspected to occur in diabetic patients and may be one important cause of angiopathy, a major complication in diabetes mellitus. The elevation of ET in diabetic patients may be a marker of, and further exacerbate, their vascular disease. We measured the levels of ET-1 in plasma of 50 patients with non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus(NIDDM) and 25 normal subjects by radioimmunoassay. The plasma ET-1 concentration (mean±S.D.) in NIDDM was 6.461 A2.510 f㏖/ ㎖, and was significantly higher than in normal subjects (4.567±1.155f㏖/㎖) (P<0.05). The plasma ET-1 concentration (mean±S.D.) in diabetic retinopathy group( 7.15±2.454 f㏖/ml) was significantly elevated than those in otherwise uncomplicated groups (5.348±2.390 f㏖/㎖)(P<0.01). The correlation between any clinical parameters and plasma ET-1 levels in NIDDM was not significant, In conclusion, this study suggest that the elevated levels of ET-1 in diabetic patients may be play a important role in the pathogenesis of diabetic complications.

포진후 통증환자에 대한 신경차단술의 효능 : 예비적 보고

Objectives : Of all the chronic pain syndromes postherpetic neuralgia ranks the most refractory to treatment. The eight postherpetic neuralgia patients have been treated with nerve blocks or neurolysis and obtained good result. We evaluate the therapeutic effect of nerve blocks for postherpetic neuralgia and reviewed the pathology, clinical consideration, treatments and prevention. Materials and Methods : Eight patients with established postherpetic neuralgia enrolled in pain clinic of Mokdong Hospital of Ewha Womans University from March,2004 to December. Average age at 58 and about 63% of patients were over 68 years. Affected area of forehead was two patients. They have been treated with stellate ganglion block (SCB), two times supraorbital and supratrochlear nerves blocks and neurolysis with absolute alcohol. Face affected patient has was one and has been treated with 5 times SGB, 2 times supraorbital and supratrochlear nerves blocks, infraorbital and mental nerves blocks, and then 2times maxillary and mandibular nerves blocks. Chest affected two patients were treated with intercostal nerve blocks. Thoracic wall affected one patient received 2 times thoracic epidural blocks and thoracic nerve block. Scapalur and thoracic wall affected patient has been treated with SGB and 2 times thoracic epidural block. The chest and thoracic wall affected patient received 10 times intercostal blocks,2 times thoracic epidural blocks,3 times thoracic root block and neurolysis of intercostal nerves with absolute alcohol. The injected agents were 1% mepibacaine or 0.25% mercain heavy and methylprednisolone succinated, and at weekly intervals the agents were injected. Results : All patient having been treated with nerve blocks were free of pain at 3-9 months. Conclusion : Although no controlled trial has been done of nerve blocks to treat postherpetic neuralgia, this technique is safe in experienced hands and, if effected, may be repeated. It suggested that local anesthetics and steroid are the effective components in nerve blocks. Data on the relief of acute pain with nerve blocks, however cannot be extrapolated to predict the prevention of postherpetic neuralgia. The best way to prevent herpes zoster becasuse of post herpetic neuralgia is so difficult to treat.

This experiment was conducted to study the effects of soil moisture, solar radiation and topping time on the leaf characteristics of tobacco plants. The results are summarized as follows : 1.In the case of soil moisture deficient treatment, yield in the plot treated deficient soil moisture at early growth stage is more than that at later part of maximum growth stage. 2.Yield in the plot shaded at early growth stage is high and shading at maturing time made less the leaf area, weight of a leaf and yield. Shading before topping made low the percentage of dry matter. 3.There was little difference in yield at diferent topping time, but interaction between soil moisture content and shading effected significantly on the leaf characteristics.

This study used Multidimensional Scaling to be useful to catch strong and wear point placing rival golf courses on the same spot and investigated golfers' responses on various services by golf courses. Finally, this study has the following results. Firstly, traffic easiness is very important for golfers positive and negative response on service by golf courses, This result means that the area of sport game is very important and events is decided by the means of traffic as street Secondly, golfers don't use a lot of golf courses and they prefer special golf course to supply some familiar and comfortable service. So, golf courses need to lead golfers' choice through their own individual and special service. They have to evaluate properly and continuously the characteristics of service of rival golf course and change of golfers' response to accept the golfers' needs.

劍道選手의 傷害에 關한 實態調査硏究

This study purposed that as the plans for the injury prevention of Kumdo play are necessary, we researched region of injury to happen during the exercise or the game, found the cause searched the essential prevention and tried to find protection improvement about Kumdo injury with injury protection and early cure. The percentage of the conclusions from representing player 245 (High school student 134, Univercity student 111) Sixty-eighth at hletic meeting aroud the country is as follows. For a year the number of Kumdo players that experienced injury more than fires times in exercise shows 22.9% and none who did it in the game 66.1%. Abrasion is highest and a bruise is second in the ratio of happening in the kind of injury during the exercise and the game. Region of injury is usually arms and legs. The motion of injury largely took place in attacking and among seasons injury happened in winter mostly. Among the places the exercise place is greatly high. Armour must supply a little (protecting thing for a wrist) and protecting thing for a head. The first aid treatment of injury and the way of cure after injury indicated self-cure 67.8%. One's home 50.6%. Pas was mostly used at the first aid treat ment after injury and the period of cure was with in one week or two. Some suggestion on basics of such a reaserch are as follows. 1) The player must be concerned in the stability of emotion and the condition of body and mind to in crease the attention during the exercise and encourage the complete sportsmanship not to do injury because of extreme victory or defeat. 2) The Kumdo plays need to put on the protector in order to minimize abrasion and a bruise. 3) Teh safe exercise place (Floor, Hall of the Game and the Exercise) must be prepared and sometimes the equipment must be examined. 4) During the exercise injury player must continue to train after perfect recovery and be examined by on expert doctor. 5) Condidering the guide of the safty protecting a player and emergency must be provided as a first aid treatment and perfect prepar is able to look forward to the further development.

集中降雨時 無限斜面의 剪斷强度特性에 關한 實驗的 硏究

Granite weathered soil obtained from the cutting slope is divided into two sample materials of SM and SP on the basis of the Unified Soil Classification System (USCS), manufactured the model slope consisting of these, and the pore water pressure and the depth of seepage according to the inclination of the slope and the precipitation strength are measured. From the result of the experiment, the pore water pressure is increased in proportion to the precipitation strength, which is proportionally increased to the inclination of the slope and tends to be decreased when it meets the steep slope of more than 1:1.5. The speed of seepage to the slope in accordance with the precipitation is turned out fast when the inclination of the slope is gentle; according to the result of the Lumbs suggested formula, the actual speed of seepage is faster than the theoretical speed. The shear strength within the slope is decreased as the precipitation strength increases, and since it shows the minimum value at the inclination of the slope in 1:1.5, it can be said that the shear strength declines due to the' increase of the pore water pressure within the slope. Also the slope consisting of SP is faster in the seepage compared to that of SM: and the likelihood of the slope failure is a lot bigger as the shear strength greatly declines with the much increase of the pore water pressure.

인슐린 자가면역 증후군 2예

인슐린 자가면역 증후군은 항체에 결합되어 있던 인슐린이 혈당정도와 관계없이 유리됨으로써 저혈당이 야기되는 질환으로, 인슐린종 등과 감별을 필요로 하는 질환이다. 저자들은 고인슐린혈증과 인슐린 자가항체가 양성이면서 공복검사상에서 저혈당이 유발되며 경구 포도당 부하 검사에서 저혈당이 유발된 자가면역성 저혈당증을 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Autoimmune hypoglycemia is one of the rare causes of hypoglycemia, and characterized by hyperinsulinemia. Insulin autoimmune syndrome is characterized by insulin autoantibody, hyperinsulinemia, and fasting hypoglycemia without previous insulin immunization. Insulin autoimmune syndrome is usually related to autoimmune disease such as Graves' disease and to previous exposure to drugs. This syndrome is a self-limited disorder. The hypoglycemia was treated with prednisolone and the patient recovered from this. Recently we experinenced two cases of insulin autoimmune syndrome that developed symptomatic hypoglycemia during both the fasting and oral glucose tolerance test. Here in, We present those cases with a review of the literature.

산후에 발병한 특발성 부갑상선 기능저하증 I 예

Hypoparathyroidism is usually the result of an inadvertent surgical removal of all the parathyroid glands, In some instances, not all the tissues are removed, but the remainder undergoes vascular supply compromise secondary to the fibrotic changes in the neck after surgery, Previously, the surgery for hyperthyroidism was the most frequent cause of acquired hypoparathyroidism. Idiopathic hypoparathyroidism is a relatively rare disease that is characterized by hypocalcemia and hyperphosphatemia due to a parathyroid hormone deficiency of an unknown cause, It usually develops at a young age, and shows various clinical symptoms and signs accompanied with hypocalcemia. In addition, it is rarely associated with polyglandular autoimmune syndrome during the follow-up. Hypocalcemia and idiopathic hypoparathyroidism associated with labor and lactation are rarely reported condition previously. We here describe a case of a woman in whom the symptomatic severe hypocalcemia appeared after her delivery. We reviewed all the previously reported cases and suggest a possible physiological explanation for the association between pregnancy, lactation, and the appearance of symptomatic hypocalcemia.

내부표준물질, 9-hydroxyphenanthrene을 이용한 뇨 중 1-hydroxypyrene의 새로운 정량법

Urinary 1-hydroxypyrene (1-OHP) has been used as exposure biomarkers for polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and analyzed with HPLC/FD after preparation by column extraction or simple centrifuge. However, the above methods have several drawbacks such as high noise or large volume of urine. In this study, we developed a new analysis method with liquid-liquid extraction and purification of commercial enzymes. We analyzed uirnary 1-OHP in 27 spot urines ofa subject in 3 weeks with the new method. As result, we could analyze all 27 samples clearly. The resolution of the new method was better than the previous centrifuge method. Therefore, the new method is a recommendable analysis method for urinary 1-OHP. Considering both of easiness and accuracy of the experiments, the new method should be further compared with the previous methods.
