      • 溫經湯에 關한 文獻的 考察

        Through the study of successive literatures form the Han-dynasty(漢代) when 《Keumjweyeuliak(금궤요략)》 was written to modern age, we inspected many types of Onkyungtang(溫經湯) and prescriptions including the term of ' Onkyung(溫經)' or Chokyung(調經)', and look into their composition and symptoms respond to administration of this medicine. The results of this study were as follows; 1. The medicine which makes up Onkyungtang was 38 kinds from the Han-dynasty to the Chung-dynasty(淸代), and up to the present it summed into 43 kinds. 2. Onkyungtang which was composed of different kinds of medicine was 10 types from the Han-dynasty to the Chung-dynasty and added 11 types in modern days. Therefore it sumed up into 21 types. 3. No Onkyungtang is seen more common than that of the same composition as in 《Keumjweyeuliak》 in successive literature. The next is the same constituents as in 《Buinyangbangdaejeon(婦人良方大全)》. Others were rare. 4. Onkyungtang in《Keumjweyeuliak》was used to treat cold syndrome of the penetration and conception vessles or uterus of deficiency type and that in 《Buinyangbangdaejeun》was for cold syndrome of the penetration and conception vessels or uterus of excess type. 5. Other names of Onkyungtang in《Keumjweyeuliak》were Daeonkyungtang(大溫經湯), Chokyungsan(調經散), Chokyungtang(調經湯), Chunkeumchokyungtang(千金調經湯), Chunkeumchokyungsan(千金調經散) and Soonkyungtang(小溫經湯). And the prescription in the same constitution was also called Chungkyungonkyungtang(仲景溫經湯), Keumkweonkyungtang(금궤온경탕) and Sibbionkunghwan(十二溫經丸). 6. Onkyungtang in 《Buinyangbangdaejeon》was called Soonkyungtang(小溫經湯) and the very prescription was also called in the name of Yangbangonkyungtang(良方溫經湯), Jinmionkyungtang(指迷溫經湯), Kungkwiinkyungtang and Jinssionkyungtang(陳氏溫經湯).

        Acute torsion of the ovary and ovarian mass is a recognized surgical emergency, but rarely has the diagnosis been made preoperatively on the basis of imaging studies. The sonographic findings in 14 cases of surgically proven torsion of the ovary and ovarian mass are described. Mostly cystic ovarian mass, engorged vessel, dilated uterine tube, beak-like echo(torsion site), smooth mass wall thickening an free-fluid collection in cul-de-sac are described. More significant in terms of specificity were the demonstration in 6 cases(42.9%) of the smooth mass wall thickening and in 8 cases(57.1%) of a free fluid in the cul-de-sac. We report the sonographic findings of ovary and ovarian mass torsion that may suggest the preoperative diagnosis of this condition.

        간경변으로 입원한 환자 33례에 대한 분석

        Objective : Liver cirrhosis is a disease of the liver in which normal cells are replated by scar tissue. Chronic liver disease and liver cirrhosis are the foutth ranked causes of death in Korea. However, clinical data on liver cirrhosis is not accumulated in oriental medicine. Therefore, clinical characteristics of 33 liver patients admitted to Hana Oriental Hospital from May 2004 to May 2005 were studied. Methods : Clinical characteristics of liver cirrhosis, such sex, age, causes, Child-Pugh class, chief complain, abdomen ultrasonography, disease duration, past history, blood test and urinalysis were reviewed. Results : The results of this study were as follows: 1 The distribution of sex and age in our study is similar to already reported statistics. 2. Hepatitis B and alcohol are the major factors to cause the liver cirrhosis. Diabetes and hypertention contribute more to cause than they have in previous histories. 3. Major symptoms are following: fatigue 87.9%, ascites 84.8%, jaundice 78.8%, leg edema 72.7%, dyspepsia 45.5%. 4. Most liver cirrhosis patients have pancytopenia. Standard Deviation accentuates the big differences between total bilirubin and serum amonia. 5. In urinalysis, Urobilinogen 19 patients (57.6%), bilirubin 12 patients (36.4%), blood 15 patients (45.5%) are positive. 11 cases of 15 in blood positive results scored $3{\sim}4+$. Contusions : In oriental medicine, it will be necessary to research and develop oriental medical therapies for liver disease including liver cirrhosis.

        저장 기간에 따른 사과의 품질특성과 항산화 활성 변화

        $20^{\circ}C$에서 15일 동안 저장기간별 사과의 변화를 살펴본 결과는 다음과 같다. 사과의 중량과 수분은 저장기간 경과에 따라 점차적으로 감소하는 결과를 보였으며, 사과의 저장 중 가용성 고형물 함량은 저장 4일차까지 최고치로 증가하였다가 서서히 낮아지는 경향을 나타냈다. 사과의 저장 중 유기산 산도는 저장 5일차에 급격히 감소하다가 완만히 감소하였으며, pH는 저장기간에 따라 완만히 증가하는 경향을 나타내었다. 저장 중 사과 껍질의 색상을 측정한 결과, L값은 저장기간에 따라 서서히 증가하였으며, a값은 저장 3일까지 감소하였고, 저장 5일에 증가되었다가 그 이후 점진적으로 감소하였다. b값은 저장 6일에 최저치를 보인 후 서서히 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 사과의 조직감을 측정한 결과, 저장기간이 증가됨에 따라 사과의 경도는 전반적으로 감소하였다. 저장 기간에 따른 사과의 총 페놀과 총 플라보노이드 함량을 측정한 결과, 총 페놀 함량은 저장 기간이 길어질수록 감소하는 경향이 나타났으며, 저장 3일차에서 저장 4일차에 큰 폭 감소하였다. 총 플라보노이드의 변화 결과, 1일차에 비교적 크게 감소하였고, 실험 7일차에서 8일차 사이에 급격히 감소하였다. 저장 기간에 따른 사과의 DPPH 전자공여능 측정결과, 저장기간이 증가할수록 DPPH 전자공여능은 감소하였으며, Vit. C 함량의 경우 저장 기간이 길어질수록 감소하였는데, 특히 저장 4일차에 비교적 크게 감소하였다. 사과의 관능평가 수행 결과, 저장기간이 경과함에 따라 외관의 좋은 정도는 0일차에 6.75에서 15일차 2.83으로 크게 감소하였으며, 신맛의 좋은 정도는 저장 기간에 따라 유의적인 차이를 보이지 않았으나, 전반적으로 감소하는 경향이었다. 단맛의 좋은 정도와 아삭함의 좋은 정도에서는 0일차에 각 6.25, 5.33으로 가장 높았으며, 15일차에 각 3.92, 2.83으로 유의적으로 감소하였다. 종합적인 기호도에서는 7일차와 8일차 사이에 5.00에서 3.50으로 비교적 큰 폭 감소하였으며, 15일차에 2.00으로 저장 기간에 지남에 따라 유의적으로 감소하였다. 이상의 실험결과, 사과 저장 시 3~4일차에 유의적인 차이를 보였으며, 저장 8일 이후에는 모든 항목에 있어 측정감이 크게 변화하는 경향을 나타내었다. 따라서 $0{\sim}1^{\circ}C$에서 장기 저장한 사과를 $20^{\circ}C$ 전후에서 저장 및 판매할 경우, 최고의 품질을 위해서는 3일 내에 판매할 것을 권장하며, 8일 이내에 재고를 소진할 수 있도록 유통 기간을 조정하는 것이 바람직할 것으로 사료된다. This study was performed in order to compare the changes in Korean apples' qualities and antioxidant activity when stored at room temperature, $20^{\circ}C$, for fifteen days. The results showed that the weight, moisture content, soluble solid content, acidity, and hardness levels decreased as the storage period increased. However, pH and color value L increased as the storage period increased. Total phenol contents, total flavonoids contents, DPPH free radical scavenging activity, and vit. C contents of apples significantly decreased with increased storage period. Sensory parameters, such as appearance, sweetness, sourness, crunchiness, and overall acceptability of apples, also decreased as the storage period increased. Based on these results, if, the apple are being stored around $20^{\circ}C$, then, to have the highest quality, the apples should be sold within three days, We also suggested that it is desirable not to store the apples fore more than eight days.

        FIRST ATLAS DOMESTIC STANDARD PROBLEM (DSP-01) FOR THE CODE ASSESSMENT

        KAERI has been operating an integral effect test facility, ATLAS (Advanced Thermal-Hydraulic Test Loop for Accident Simulation), for accident simulations of advanced PWRs. Regarding integral effect tests, a database for major design basis accidents has been accumulated and a Domestic Standard Problem (DSP) exercise using the ATLAS has been proposed and successfully performed. The ATLAS DSP aims at the effective utilization of an integral effect database obtained from the ATLAS, the establishment of a cooperative framework in the domestic nuclear industry, better understanding of thermal hydraulic phenomena, and an investigation of the potential limitations of the existing best-estimate safety analysis codes. For the first ATLAS DSP exercise (DSP-01), integral effect test data for a 100% DVI line break accident of the APR1400 was selected by considering its technical importance and by incorporating comments from participants. Twelve domestic organizations joined in this DSP-01 exercise. Finally, ten of these organizations submitted their calculation results. This ATLAS DSP-01 exercise progressed as an open calculation; the integral effect test data was delivered to the participants prior to the code calculations. The MARS-KS was favored by most participants but the RELAP5/MOD3.3 code was also used by a few participants. This paper presents all the information of the DSP-01 exercise as well as the comparison results between the calculations and the test data. Lessons learned from the first DSP-01 are presented and recommendations for code users as well as for developers are suggested.

        구제역 백신의 국가출하승인검정을 통한 품질 평가

        Foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) causes economic problems in livestock industry because of fast spread and inducing low productivity. FMD outbreaks occurred in South Korea over the period from 2000 to 2019. Vaccination is the most practical and effective means of controlling or preventing these outbreaks, and a national vaccination policy has been in place for all FMD-susceptible animals since 2010. To prevent and control of FMD, South Korea has been using vaccines imported from the United Kingdom, Argentina, and Russia. The Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency of South Korea oversees continuous quality control of imported FMD vaccines. FMD vaccines were evaluated characteristics, sterility, pH, inactivation, safety, potency test by Korean FMD vaccine standard assay (Test for National Lot Re-lease). The 6 company vaccines (A∼F) were used Test for National Lot Release by each method. We evaluated quality of each FMD vaccine from 2015 to 2019. All batch of vaccine showed good quality control and were passed the Test for National Lot Release. The serotypes of vaccine are increasingly changing to multiple vaccine because the FMD was outbreak by various serotype virus in South Korea. Furthermore, this data may be useful as a basis for ensuring the quality of FMD vaccines and for base data to manage them. Additional study is required to simple approach for rapid evaluation of quality and antigen content identification in vaccines.

        키토산 겔을 이용한 포름알데하이드 차폐 시트 개발

        Sick-building syndrome occurs when indoor air is polluted with harmful volatile organic compounds such as formaldehyde which are contained in furniture or new building materials. In this study, formaldehyde-shielding chitosangel sheet was developed and its performance was evaluated. Chitosan and agar were dissolved in acetic acid solution. The optimal concentrations of chitosan, acetic acid and agar were 3, 3, and 2.5 %(w/w). Formaldehyde was spreaded on gypsum board and then wall paper was attached on it by using glue. When chitosan-gel sheet was attached on this control board, the amount of formaldehyde released from the board was decreased by 63% than in control board. On the other hand, decrease in formaldehyde releasing was only 32% when liquid solution of chitosan was spreaded on the control board. This result clearly indicates that chitosan-gel sheet removes formaldehyde more effectively than liqud solution of chitosan. Furthermore, this type of sheet is more applicable to new building than spraying type.

        A Sensitive and Rapid LC-MS/MS Method for Determination of Berberine in Human Plasma

        Coptidis Rhizoma (CR) has been used widely in traditional medicine to treat common diseases. This study aimed to develop a high-sensitivity liquid chromatography-tandem mass (LC-MS) spectrometry method for the evaluation of the pharmacokinetics of a new natural product that contain CR extract with the main bioactive compound, berberine, at trace concentrations. Human plasma samples were pretreated with methanol by a protein precipitation method. Berberine was analyzed on a Kinetex C18 column ($2.1mm{\times}50mm$, $100{\AA}$, $1.7{\mu}m$) using a mobile phase of 10 mM ammonium formate/0.1% formic acid in water (A) and acetonitrile (B) (50:50, v/v) with a flow rate of 0.25 mL/min. The analyte was detected by using electrospray ionization in positive mode with multiple reaction monitoring (MRM). The method was sensitive, with a lower limit of quantification of 1 pg/mL, which has not been previously obtained. The method was validated (over the range of 1-50 pg/mL) and applied successfully for the pharmacokinetic study of human plasma samples.

        Vascular regeneration and skeletal muscle repair induced by long-term exposure to SDF-1α derived from engineered mesenchymal stem cells after hindlimb ischemia

        Despite recent progress in medical and endovascular therapy, the prognosis for patients with critical limb ischemia (CLI) remains poor. In response, various stem cells and growth factors have been assessed for use in therapeutic neovascularization and limb salvage in CLI patients. However, the clinical outcomes of cell-based therapeutic angiogenesis have not provided the promised benefits, reinforcing the need for novel cell-based therapeutic angiogenic strategies to cure untreatable CLI. In the present study, we investigated genetically engineered mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) derived from human bone marrow that continuously secrete stromal-derived factor-1α (SDF1α-eMSCs) and demonstrated that intramuscular injection of SDF1α-eMSCs can provide long-term paracrine effects in limb ischemia and effectively contribute to vascular regeneration as well as skeletal muscle repair through increased phosphorylation of ERK and Akt within the SDF1α/CXCR4 axis. These results provide compelling evidence that genetically engineered MSCs with SDF-1α can be an effective strategy for successful limb salvage in limb ischemia.
