        PCR을 이용한 국내시장에 유통중인 유전자재조합 콩 및 가공식품의 모니터링

        본 연구에서는 PCR을 이용하여 국내시장에 유통중인 원료콩과 가공식품에 epsps 또는 pat 유전자가 삽입된 유전자재조합 콩(GMS)의 사용여부를 모니터링하였다. 이러한 GMS의 검출을 위해 3쌍의 primer set을 제작하였고, 각각의 primer들은 GMS에 삽입된 유전자와 특이적으로 반응하여 PCR산물을 생성하였다. 2001년 표시제가 시행되기 이전에 생산된 총 가공식품과 이후의 제품에 대해 각각 모니터링을 수행하였으며, 표시제 이전에 생산된 제품의 경우 대부분의 미국산 원료에서 esps가 삽입된 GMS가 검출되었으나, 표시제 이후에는 검출되지 않았다. A method using PCR was developed for the monitoring of genetically modified soybean (GMS) and GMS derived foods utilized in the market. We designed 3 pairs of specific oligonucleotide primers based on epsps and pat inserted in GMS and ferritin gene as internal standards. Template DNAs isolated from soybean and processed foods were used for multiplex PCR with 3 primer sets. PCR, used with specific primer sets for GMS detection, showed the amplified DNA fragments with GMS template DNA. In this study, GMS containing epsps was detected from soy processed foods manufactured before GM food labeling system, however, GMS containing epsps or pat was not detected from soy processed foods manufactured after GM food labeling system.

      • 제2형 당뇨병 환자에서 체내 총항산화능 측정의 의의

        Background: The diabetic patients are at significantly increased risk of developing vascular disease. It's etiology may involve oxidative damage by free radiacals and protection againse such damage can be offered by antioxidants. We investigated that oxidative stress as assessed by measurement of total antioxidant status may play a role in development of diabetes mellitus. Method: We measured total antioxiant status using merchandised kit, glycated hemeglobin(HbA1c) in 46 type 2 diabetes mellitus patients and 50 healthy matched control subjects. Result: The total antioxidant status(TAS) was 2.10(±0.04) mmol/L in uncontrolled type 2 DM patients, 2.60(±0.03) in controlled type 2 DM patients and 2.70(±0.16) in healthy control subjects. TAS was significantly lower(P<0.05) in uncontrolled type 2 DM patients, but no significant association between in controlled type 2 DM patients and healthy control subjects. The TAS was 2.00(±0.17) mmol/L in complicated type 2 DM patients and 2.10(±0.29) uncomplicated type 2 DM patients. There was no significant associations between complicated type 2 DM patients and uncomplicated type 2 DM patients. Conclusion: Poor glycemic control is associated with reduced TAS in type 2 DM patients. TAS was thought indirect index that predict glycemic control of type 2 DM patients.

      • 빌트인 모터를 이용한 2축 제어 미세 가공기 개발

        This paper describes development of low cost precision machine that has combined the Build-in Motor with a vacuum chuck. This study mainly aims to find out a cutting condition for maintaining optimum surface condition and to examine cutting characteristics of the precision machine that is equipped by diamond bites. The cutting materials is Al alloy. Several experiments were carried out to find out the main factors that affect the surface roughness such as principal axis RPM(rotation per minute), feeding speed, and cutting depth. As a result, we obtain The optimum cutting condition of the developed precision machine.

      • 배연탈황흡수제의 탈황성능에 관한 연구

        배연 탈황 흡수제의 특성을 sand-bad 반응기를 이용하여 살피었다. 흡수제, 공정변수, 그리고 첨가제를 바꾸어 가며 기상에서의 탈황율을 비교하였다. 그리고 이 결과를 SEM, EDX, XRD, TGA, BET 등으로 탈황 전후의 흡수제 분말을 관찰하고 분석하여 검토하였다. 탈황율은 탈황제의 흡습성, 표면적, pore 구조 변화 등에 크게 의존하였다. 특히 Ca(OH)₂의 경우 흡수제의 pore 막힘 현상을 관찰하였으며 습도 및 첨가제의 효과가 이와 직접 연관이 있음을 알았다. Characteristics of sorbents for flue gas desulfurization has been investigated in sand-bed reactor. SO₂removal efficiency in gas phase was compared for the various sorbents, process variables and additives. The results have been discussed by observing and analyzing the sorbent particles before and after sulfation with SEM, EDX, XRD, TGA and BET. The SO₂ removal efficiency of the sorbents was affected by their hygroscopicity, surface area and pore-structure change during the reaction. In case of Ca(OH)₂, pore plugging was observed, and humidity of the gas and addition of the additives were directly related with the pore plugging.

      • 난분해성 폐수처리를 위해 Bioaugmentation한 생물막 반응기에 관한 연구

        The effect on the stability of biofilm and phenol removal efficiency under high phenol loading was investigated by RBC(Rotating Biological Contactor) using augmented reactor and unaugmented reactor with Rhodococcus sp. EL-GT. The operation of RBCs was carried out at rotating speed of 10 rpm and hydraulic retention time of 7 h at 20℃. The maximum amount of dry weight of the biofilm was 0.04 g/㎠ to running time for 15 days. The amount of attached biofilm of contactors was stabilized as 0.15∼0.03 g/㎠ for 35 days' running times and that of two reactors was similar value. But unaugmented reactor was shocked at 1,200 mg/ℓ phenol loading that the biofilm and removal efficiency were impacted. The bioaugmentation reactor showed higher removal rates than unaugmented reactors about phenol, sCOD and nitrogen contents. Bioaugmentation, with the strain originating from the same ecosystem and growing effectively on a selective substrate, was often effective means to treatment of recalcitrants like as phenol wastewater.

      • 반회분식에 의한 운모분말의 무전해도금

        활성화된 운모분말을 반회분식 반응기에 넣고 분말의 표면에 니켈-인 피막이 형성되도록 화학적으로 도금하였다. 도금이 진행되는 동안에 pH 와 잔류 니켈이온의 농도는 거의 일정하게 유지되었고 이것이 반회분 반응기의 특징이라 할 수 있다. 실제 도금반응기에서는 거의 95%이상의 전화율을 얻을 수 있었고 따라서 잔류 니켈이온의 농도도 낮았다. 잔류 니켈이온에 영향을 주는 가장 중요한 공정변수는 반응용액의 pH 이었고, 입도, 반응온도, 반응물 투입속도는 큰 영향이 없었다. 도금된 분말은 대부분 자성을 가지며, 전기저항값은 낮은 pH 에서 얻어진 것들을 제외하고는 비교적 낮았다. 도금된 분말은 산화분위기 내에서 열처리 소성하면 소성시간에 따라 자주색, 청색, 녹색, 금색등의 여러 색으로 변하였다. 또한 분말의 크기와 도금량을 조절하여 얻어진 입자를 binder 와 유기용제에 섞어 도료를 만들면 잘 분산되는 것을 볼 수 있었다. The activated surface of mica powders was chemically plated to form nickel-phosphorous film in a semibatch reactor which were added at controlled rates. The pH's and residual ?? concentrations were traced during plating. In this reactor pH's and residual [??]'s were able to remain almost constant with respect to plating time as expected, which is the characteristic of the semibatch reactor. The residual [??]'s were so low as to give the conversion of 95% or more in usual. The most important process variables to effect the residual [??]'s was the pH of the reacting mixure. The powder size, the reactor temperature, and input rates of the reactants significantly influence the performance. The measured electrical resistivities of the plated powders were relatively low expect those obtaind at low pH. The heat-treated powders revealed various colors with sintering time-purple, blue, green, and gold. The plated powders showed well-dispersability in the paint consisting of the powders, binder and solvent by controlling the size of powders and the amount of plating on them.

      • Spray Dryer를 이용한 배연탈황의 수치모사

        반건식 배연탈황공정에서 사용되는 spray dryer absorber(SDA)에 대한 수치모사를 행하였다. 기본 방정식으로는 기체와 액적의 각 성분들의 물질수지식, 에너지수지식과 액적의 운동 방정식등이 포함되었다. 만들어진 모델은 대부분이 기존의 SPRAYMOD-M보다 실제의 pilot plant date를 더 잘 모사하였다. 실제 pilot plant에서 사용되는 값의 범위 내에서 선정된 공정변수가 SDA의 성능에 미치는 효과를 계산하고, 이를 SO₂의 흡수속도, 배연기체의 체류시간, 그리고 액적의 건조시간 및 속도 등에 의해 검토하였다. 또 SO₂제거율을 두 개의 독립된 공정 변수의 함수로 구하였으며, 그 결과를 3차원 또는 2차원의 등가선으로 표시하여 SDA의 설계에 쉽게 적용될 수 있도록 하였다. A mathematical model has been developed for simulating the spray dryer absorber (SDA) used in semi-dry flue gas desulfurization process. Fundamental equations include the component mass and heat balances in both gas and droplet phases and the equation of motion for a single droplet. The model developed described the pilot-plant data much better than the existing SPRAYMOD-M model. The effect of the process variables, whose values were chosen within the operation limits of the actual pilot plants, on % SO₂removal or conversion of the sorbent were calculated, and discussed in terms of SO₂absorption rate, the residence time of flue gas, the velocity and drying time of droplets. Finally, the % SO₂removal was calculated with two independent process variables and the results were shown on three-dimensional or two-dimensional diagrams with the lines of constant % SO₂removal, so that they can be easily applied to preliminary design of the SDA.

      • 미생물 포괄 고정화방식을 이용한 수산물 가공공장 폐수처리

        Feasibility of simultaneous removal of organic and nitrogen is evaluated as applying microbial entrapping method to treat fish processing wastewater. Treatability test is conducted immobilizing activated sludge from municipal sewage treatment plant to gel matrix made of cellulose triacetate. Stable operation can be possible when applying organic and nitrogen loading rate increasingly to wastewater treatment system composed of anoxic and oxic tank. Organic loading rate and nitrogen loading rate are applied 0.65-1.72kg COD/㎥/d and 0.119-0.317kg T-N/㎥/d, respectively. In case of wastewater from fish processing plant used in this study, it is evaluated that 0.3kg T- N/㎥/d is upper limit of applicable space loading rate because effluent T-N concentration is exceed 60mg/L, legal effluent dishargeable limit of T-N concentration in Korea, when space loading rate is exceed 0.3kg T-N/㎥/d. It is evaluated that nitrification of system is performed efficiently regardless fo variation of applied loading rate because removal efficiency of NH_(4)^(+)-N is relatively constant when the applied NH_(4)^(+)-N loading rate is increased gradually, while decrease of T-N removal efficiency is apparent when the applied loading rate is increased gradually. Nitrate removal efficiency in this study is varied from 98.62% to 99.51% depending on applied loading rate, while nitrification efficiency of oxic reactor is varied from 94.0% to 96.9%. It is showed that COD removal efficiency is varied from 94.2% to 96.6% and T-N removal efficiency is varied from 73.4% to 83.4% depending on loading rate applied in this study.

      • 폐혈관상이 유지된 선천성 낭성 선종양 기형

        선천성 낭성 선종양 기형은 태생 16주 이후 말단세기관지의 형성이 중단되어 미성숙기관지들과 중배엽성분들이 과도하게 증식하여 발생하는 드문 선천성 폐질환이다. CT소견은 낭종의 크기 숫자, 내용물 등에 따라 다양하나, 병변내에 정상적인 폐혈관이 보인 예는 전세계적으로 보고된 적이 없었다. 저자들은 역동적 흉부 CT상 균일한 저음영의 병변내에 정상 폐혈관상이 유지된 선천성 낭성 선종양 기형 1예를 경험하였기에 보고한다. Congenital cystic adenomatoid malformation(CCAM) is a rare pulmonary disease that is thought to be developed by abnormal proliferation of immature alveoli and other mesenchymal component from the abrupt halting of the terminal alveoli formation after 16 weeks of gestation. On CT scan, there are no consistencies regarding to size, numbers, and its contents but no cases were reported in past showing normal pulmonary vascularities.
