        The total bacterial numbers were estimated by acridine orange direct count method in Lake Soyang monthly from January 1990 to 1992 The range of total bacterial number was from 0.4*10^(6) to 4.7*10^(6) cell*㎖^(-1). In epilimnion,the variation range was wider than other depths. while in hypolimnion was narrower. At August, when water temperature was highest. the bacterial numbers was also highest . This means that water temperature was highest the bacterial numbers was also highest. This means that water temperature was one of the factor governing the bacterial abundance. In metalimnion. the bacterial number was higher than other depths during stratigication. And spacially the bacterial numbers near aquaclture net-cages were higher than those of dam site. This means that allochthonous materials such as terrestorial originated particle, organics and microbes from watershed and fish feed stinmulated the bacterial growth.

        Highly pure barium titanate powders have been obtained by the pyrolysis of barium titanyl oxalate. Barium titanate powders under different calcination condition were cold-pressed into discs 10mm and 1mm thick using a stainless steel die. A fabrication pressure of 24000 p.s.i.(16.53 Nmm^-2) was maintained in all formings. The compacts were sintered in air at 850, and 1050℃ for 2 hr in a silicon tube furnace with SiC heating elements. Using extrapolation method of X-ray diffraction pattern, it was found the samples have a tetragonal structure whose lattice parameters a_0 and c_0 were 3.9962 and 4.0138Å respectively. The samples sintered at 850, 950 and 1050℃ showed dielectric reponse and Curie peak characteristics are similar to each of them over the temperature range from room temperature to 350℃, and have a flattened permittivity below Curie temperature.

        Hemostasis and a clear surgical field are obtained by the local infiltration of a local anesthetic mixed with epinephrine during tonsillectomy. However, epinephrine may in itself, due to its cardiovascular effect, cause arrhythmia, heart failure, Pulmonary edema, and even cardiac arrest. We describe a 22-year-old patient who developed cardiac arrest due to epinephrine infiltration during tonsillectomy. The patient was resuscitated and recovered without any sequele after intensive treatment.

        금강에 서식하는 감돌고기 Pseudopungtungia nigra의 탁란

        2003년 5월부터 7월까지 전북 진안군 주천면의 금강상류의 지류인 주자천에서 감돌고기의 탁란에 관하여 조사하였다. 감돌고기는 꺽지의 수컷이 보호하는 산란장에 무리를 지어 침입하였고 탁란을 실시하였다. 감돌고기의 산란은 꺽지가 산란을 시작한 직후부터 시작되어 꺽지의 산란이 끝난 후에도 3∼5일 동안 더 진행되었다. 감돌고기 알의 부화는 대부분 숙주의 알보다 먼저 이루어졌고, 감돌고기의 자어는 부화 후 즉시 숙주의 산란장을 떠났다. 산란장을 지키는 부화 후 즉시 숙주의 산란장을 떠났다. 산란장을 지키는 꺽지 수컷이 사라졌을 때 산란장의 숙주의 알과 감돌고기 알은 즉시 다른 어류에 의해 모두 섭식되었다. 따라서, 감돌고기는 자신의 알이 부화할 때까지 숙주의 보호를 받는 커다란 이득을 획득한다. A field study of the brood parasitism by Korean shiner, Psudopungtungia nigra, on nests of the Korean aucha perch, Coreoperca herzi, was carried out from May 2003 to July 2003 at the Juja stream, Jinan-gun, Jeonlabuk-do, Korea. Observations in the wild showed that the Korean shiner concentrated on nests of Korean aucha perch in which the nest owners had just spawned. The Korean shiner always spawned in nests of Korean aucha perch. When the parasite shiner spawned in the perch nest, the parasite eggs hatched earlier than the host eggs. Parasite prelarvae shiner left the nest of the host immediately after hatching. Host and parasite eggs disappeared with no guarding by the host male. We suggest that the parasite eggs are protected from egg predators by the host male.

        The purpose of thus study were to investigate the proper conditions of struvite formation in synthetic wastewater and then to apply these conditions to effluent of anaerobic digester of livestock wastewater The conditions of struvite formation had been studied by many researchers. But a little conditions were different among them. Especially, according to suspended solid variation in livestock wastewater was investigated by few researchers. In experiment of synthetic wastewater, the proper conditions of struvite formation were pH 105, l50rpm of mixing rate, 10 minutes of reaction time, and 20 minutes of precipitation time. At same time, the ammonia nitrogen removal rates were about 99.7%, 95.5%, and 96% of synthetic wastewater, raw wastewater, and effluent of anaerobic digester of livestock wastewater at molar ratio of 2(Mg):l(N)2(P) respectively. The larger factor of NH₄/SS constant was, the more effective the removal rate of ammonium nitrogen, SS was, but the less effective COD_(cr), and TOC was. By using XRD analysis, the most certain compound in precipitate of synthetic wastewater was struvite.

      • 소양호에서 세균수와 세균 체적의 계절적 수심별 변화

        To define the ecological roles of bacteria in Lake Soynng, the depth profiles of bacterial numbers and their biovolume were estimated temporally. In August, 1992, the bacterial numbers and biovolume were ranged from 12×10^(5) to 28×10^(5) cells ml^(-1) and from 0.4 to 1.0 ㎛³ cell^(-1), respectively. At 30m depth, the biovolume was highest as 1.0㎛³ cell^(-1) while the numbers were not changed. These large bacteria might be allochthonous bacteria originated from terrestrial during the heavy rain. In October, 1882, the bacterial numbers were ranged from 6×10^(5) to 17×10^(5) cells ml³ , and biovolumes at epilimnion were about 0.5 ㎛³ cell^(-1), while at metalimnion and hypolimnion, larger than 0.9 ㎛³ cell^(-1). In this time, zooplankton grazing pressure and nutrients release from sediment might affect the bacterial numbers and biovolume. In April, 1993, when Asterionella and Fragifaria were dominant species of phytoplankton only in epilimnion, the bacterial numbers were about 20×10^(5) cells ml^(-1), and biovolumes were about 0.8㎛³ cell^(-1). While at other depths, the numbers and biovolumes were smaller. These results suggest that the bacterial numbers were dynamically changed with season, while their mean cell volume were commonly stable as 0.5㎛³ cell^(-1). But by the allochthonous bacteria, organic materials released by phytoplnnkton and grazing pressure by zooplankton might increase the biovolume.

      • He 원자 구조에 관한 수치 해석적 연구

        The one-electron theory of atoms, molecules, and crystals has enjoyed a wide success in many branches of physics. This theory provides a physically appealing description of the eletronic structure of many-electron systems. In addition, this theory provides a convenient basis for performing the detailed calculations on specific many-electron systems. In such calculations, it is usually necessary to introduce many simplifying assumptions in order to make a progress. Since the principal computational difficulty posed by the Hartree-Fock equations is the treatment of the exchange terms, it would be very desirable to simplify the treatment of these terms by using Slater's the average of the exchange potential. The first order correction of the energy in the ground state of He atom is calculated by using the unperturbed wave function obtained with the Hartree-Fock-Slater approximation and compared with the result obtained by the simple analytical metod. The numerical result agrees with an experimental result for the ground state of the He atom with tolerance 0.65%.

      • 1.88 A GeV ^56Fe 이온에 의한 원자핵 건판내에서의 발생각에 대한 연구

        LBL 667H 실험의 일환으로써 1.88A GeV ^56Fe이온이 원자핵 전판내에서 일으킨 핵반응을 비적스캔닝(along-the-track-scanning) 법으로 총 473개를 발견하였다. 그중 302개에 대한 방출각을 실험데이타로 삼아 ^56Fe 핵과 원자핵건판들과의 충돌에서 얻어진 다중도 분포의 여러파라미더와 이차파쇄핵의 각분포를 측정하여 6.2∼400 GeV 양성자-원자핵 상호작용과 비교검토 하였으며 알파입자에 대한 분포회귀함수는 β_T^-1??e^(r-nb)이고 β_T^-1=(e^(r_p-nb)) 임을 나타냈다. The results of multiple production produced by 1.88 A GeV ^56Fe ions in nuclear emulsion have been studied. Using by the along-the-track scanning method, We found 473 inelastic events and analysed 302 events. Angular distribution of secondary particles and several parameters of multiplicity distribution at the collisions of ^56Fe ions with emulsion nuclei are measured. And data are compared with those of 6.2-400 GeV protons with nuclei in nuclear emulsion. Regression function of alpha particles is well fitted by use of β_T^-1=exp(r-n_b).
