        미세혈관 문합술을 이용한 절단된 귀 재접합 치험례:1례보고

        The auricle is frequently exposed to trauma due to its protruding anatomical position and it is sometimes severed completely. Many kinds of techniques such as composite graft or cartilage preservation methods for the reattachment or reconstruction of and amputated ear have been tried. But their indications are limited and results are not satisfactory. For the complete survival of ear cartilage and skin of the amputated part, microvascular replantation is known as the best procedure. But cases of successful replantations have been rare until now, because of technical difficulties due to the small size of auricular vessels and uncertain vascular anatomy. In 1980, Pennington et al. reported the first successful microvasclar replantation of a totally avulsed ear using vein graft. After that about 10 cases of world wide successful micro replantation of servered ears were reported. Here, we report a case of a successful replantation of a completely amputated lower half of auricle including the ear lobule due to a human bite. Replantation was done by direct anastomosis of transected peripheral branches of the posterior auricular artery and vein without vein graft. We again emphasize that, in spite of the technical difficulties and long operative time, successful replantation of an amputated ear with microvascular surgery is superior to any other methods of reattachment or reconstruction.

        야뇨증 환아들의 심리사회적 특성에 대한 다기관 연구 : 행동 및 정서 문제를 중심으로

        Objectives : The aim of this study was to examine the behavioral and emotional problems associated with nocturnal enuresis in Korean children. Methods : Three hundred eighteen children with nocturnal enuresis, together with their parents, completed the Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL), Disruptive Behavior Disorder Scale according to DSM-IV (DBDS), Children's Depression Inventory (CDI), State-Trait Anxiety Inventory for Children (STAIC), and Piers-Harris Children's Self-Concept Scale (PHCSC). Ninety-three normal students were selected as the control group. Results : Compared to the normal control group, the mean scores with regard to the withdrawn, social problems, attention problems, delinquent behavior, aggressive behavior, externalizing problems and total problems profiles were significantly higher in the nocturnal enuresis group according to the CBCL results. The nocturnal enuresis group also scored significantly higher in the ADHD and ODD profiles of the DBDS. The nocturnal enuresis group was more depressed and anxious than the control group according to the results of the CDI and STAI. The mean score of the PHCSC was significantly lower in the nocturnal enuresis group when compared to the normal control group. Conclusion : The results of this study suggest that children with nocturnal enuresis in Korea have clinically relevant behavioral and emotional problems. The findings support the link between nocturnal enuresis and psychopathology in Korean children.

        국내 원전 대상의 척도인자를 활용한 핵종재고량 규명 방법의 개발 - 범위 및 방사능 결정 방법-

        Regulations and guidelines for radioactive waste disposal require detailed information about the characteristics of radioactive waste drums prior to transport to the disposal sites. However, estimation of radionuclide concentrations in the drummed radioactive waste is difficult and unreliable. In order to overcome this difficulty, scaling factor (SF) method has been used to assess the activities of radionuclides, which could not be directly analyzed. A radioactive waste assay system has been operated at Korean nuclear power plant (KORI site) since 1996 and consolidated SF concept has played a dominant role in the determination of radionuclide concentrations. However, SFs are somewhat dispersive and limited in KORI site. Therefore establishment of the assay system using more improved SFs is planned and progressed. In this paper, the scope of research is briefly introduced. For the selection of more reliable activity determination method, the accuracy of predicted SF values for each activity determination method is compared. From the comparison of each activity determination method, it is recommended that SF determination method should be changed from the arithmetic mean to the geometrical mean for more reliable estimation of radionuclide activity. Arithmetic mean method and geometric mean method are compared based on the data set in KORI system. And, this change of SF determination method will prevent an inordinate over-estimation of radionuclide inventory in radwaste drum.

        Thermal properties in strong hydrogen bonding systems composed of poly(vinyl alcohol), polyethyleneimine, and graphene oxide

        Blends of poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA), polyethyleneimine (PEI), and graphene oxide (GO) were prepared by solution casting method. Calorimetric thermal properties of the blends were investigated. The Tgs of PVA/PEI blends were higher than the Tgs of either of the component polymers at low concentrations of PEI. These abnormal increases of Tgs may be due to the negative entropy of mixing which is associated with strong hydrogen bonding between PVA and PEI. The degree of depression of T0ms was not reduced by the negative entropy of mixing, since strong hydrogen bonding also causes an increase in the magnitude of negative χ between PVA and PEI. The Tg of PVA was increased significantly by adding 0.7 wt.% GO into PVA. The magnitude of negative χ was increased by adding GO into the blends of PVA and PEI.

      • FISH mapping of 5S and 45S ribosomal DNAs in three wild Chrysanthemum species

        Chrysanthemums (Asteraceae) are important ornamental crops in worldwide that are well known as commercial valuable cultivars for cut flowers, potted plants, and garden flowering plants. Genus chrysanthemum consisted of 41 species that are mostly distributed in East Asia. Chrysanthemum has diverse ploidy levels with the basic chromosome number of x=9 from 2n=2x=18 (diploid) to 2n=10x=90 (decaploid). Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) is a useful tool for studying the distribution of ribosomal DNAs. In this study, we have confirmed ploidy level by chromosome counting method. The somatic metaphase chromosome numbers were observed 2n=2x=18 in Chrysanthemum boreale, and 2n=6x=54 in C. indicum and C. zawadskii. More detailed Karyotype was constructed based on FISH method using 5S and 45S rDNA probes. Two (2) loci of 5S rDNA signals were detected in interstitial region of long arm chromosome in C. boreale and six (6) loci were in C. indicum and C. zawadskii. All of 45S rDNAs were located in terminal region of short arm chromosome which were visualize in six (6) loci in C. boreale and C. indicum and twelve(12) loci in C. zawadskii. In this study, it was the main topic to perform physical mapping of the location of 5S and 45S rDNA. Three of wild chrysanthemum showed variations in number of ribosomal DNAs. In the present investigation will help to further study of genome sequencing project in chrysanthemum.

        Development of Radionuclide Inventory Declaration Methods Using Scaling Factors for the Korean NPPs - Scope and Activity Determination Method -

        원전에서 발생된 중저준위 방사성 폐기물의 경우 처분장으로 이송되기 이전에 드럼에 대한 세부적인 정보 특히 핵종 재고량에 대한 평가가 수행되어야 한다. 그러나 드럼처리된 방사성폐기물의 경우 평가 대상 핵종 농도에 대한 예측이 어려운 것이 일반적이다. 따라서 이를 극복하고자 직접측정이 어려운 경우 척도인자 방법을 활용하고 있다. 국내의 경우 1996년부터 고리원전에서 척도인자 개념이 적용된 핵종분석장치를 운영해오고 있다. 그러나 고리원전에 적용된 척도인자의 경우 많은 개선의 여지가 남겨져 있다. 따라서 현재 척도인자의 향상을 위한 연구가 진행 중에 있다. 본 논문에서는 연구의 범위에 대한 개략적인 소개와 핵종 재고량 평가 방법 중 보다 신뢰할 수 있는 평가 방법을 찾고자 통계적인 척도인자 평가 방법을 비교 평가했으며 이를 통해 고리원전에 사용된 산술평균 방법을 기하평균 방법으로 바꾸는 것이 예측의 정확성을 향상시킬 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 드럼내 핵종 재고량의 과대평가를 막고 합리적인 보수성을 유지할 수 있음을 알수 있었다.         한국인 성인 안와 속의 안와아래신경 주행통로에 관한 형태계측학적 연구

        Infraorbital nerve, a branch of maxillary nerve, enters the orbit through the inferior orbital fissure. Traversing the infraorbital groove and canal in the orbital floor, it appears on the face through the infraorbital foramen. The structures which the infraorbital never traverses are regarded as clinically important bony landmarks, particularly fracture cases involving facial skeleton or orbital floor. However, morphometrical study of bony landmarks in relation to the infraorbital nerves among Korean adult have not been reported. From 41 Korean adult skulls authors using the Marshac's caliper, probe, and vernia calipers made 4 one-dimensional measurements of bony structures through which passes the infraorbital nerve. The data were analyzed and compared with respect to sex and laterality (right vs. left). The result showed that the infraorbital nerves entered the orbit through inferior orbital fissure which ran about 26.4㎜ behind the infraorbital foramen. The point where the infraorbital groove changed into the infraorbital canal was located 11.3㎜ behind the infraorbital margin, and 13.0㎜ posterosuperiorly from the infraorbital foramen. Infraorbital groove was not observed in three of 82 orbits examined. Infraorbital foramen was at 6.7㎜ below the infraorbital margin.
