        금불초 꽃 추출물의 항균 및 항산화 활성

        본 연구에서는 금불초 꽃 추출물의 피부 상재균에 대한 항균작용과 항산화, tyroinase 저해 효과에 관한 조사를 수행하였다. 피부 상재균에 대한 항균활성 측정결과, P. acnes에 대한 ethyl acetate 분획의 MIC는 0.25 %로 나타났으며, methyl paraben과 비슷한 활성을 나타냈고 quercetin보다는 큰 항균활성을 나타내었다. 추출물의 free radical (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl, DPPH) 소거활성(FSC<sub>50</sub>)은 ethyl acetate 분획에서 8.55 μg/mL로 측정되었다. Luminol-의존성 화학발광법을 이용한 Fe<sup>3+</sup>-EDTA/H<sub>2</sub>O<sub>2</sub>계에서 생성된 활성산소종(reactive oxygen species, ROS)에 대한 금불초 꽃 추출물의 총 항산화능은 ethyl acetate 분획 0.24 μg/mL로, 50 % EtOH extract와 aglycone 분획 보다 ethyl acetate 분획에서 가장 큰 활성을 나타내었다. 금불초 꽃 추출물에 대하여 rose-bengal로 증감된 사람 적혈구의 광용혈에 대한 억제 효과를 측정하였다. 금불초 꽃 추출물의 경우 5 ~ 100 μg/mL의 농도에서 광용혈을 억제하였다. 특히 당을 제거시킨 플라보노이드 aglycone 분획은 25 μg/mL 농도에서 τ<sub>50</sub>이 164.15 min으로 매우 큰 세포보호 효과를 나타내었다. 미백 효과측정으로는 각각 tyrosinase의 활성 저해 효과를 측정하였다. Tyrosinase의 활성 저해 효과 (IC<sub>50</sub>)는 ethyl acetate 분획에서 87.03 μg/mL 로 나타났다. 이상의 결과들은 금불초 꽃 추출물이 <sup>1</sup>O<sub>2</sub> 혹은 다른 ROS를 소광시키거나 소거함으로써 그리고 ROS에 대항하여 세포막을 보호함으로써 생체계, 특히 태양 자외선에 노출된 피부에서 항산화제로서 작용할 수 있음을 가리키며, 금불초 꽃 성분 분석, ethyl acetate 분획의 tyrosinase 저해활성 그리고 피부 상재균에 대한 항균작용으로부터 항산화, 항노화 및 항균성 화장품 소재로서의 응용 가능성을 확인하였다. In this study, the antibacterial activity, antioxidative effects, inhibitory effects on tyrosinase of Inula britannica flower extracts were investigated. MIC values of ethyl acetate fraction from Inula britannica flower on P. acnes 0.25 %, respectively. The results showed that the antibacterial activity of the ethyl acetate fraction was the highest in the P. acnes. The free radical (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl, DPPH) scavenging activities (FSC<sub>50</sub>) of ethyl acetate fraction of Inula britannica flower was 8.55 μg/mL. Reactive oxygen species (ROS) scavenging activities (OSC<sub>50</sub>) of some fInula britannica flower extracts on ROS generated in Fe<sup>3+</sup>- EDTA/H<sub>2</sub>O<sub>2</sub> system were investigated using the luminol-dependent chemiluminescence assay. The order of ROS scavenging activities were ethyl acetate fraction 0.24 μg/mL. Ethyl acetate fraction showed the most prominent ROS scavenging activity. The protective effects of extract/fractions of Inula britannica flower on the rose-bengal sensitized photohemolysis of human erythrocytes were investigated. The Inula britannica flower extracts suppressed photohemolysis in a concentration dependent manner (5 ∼ 100 μg/mL), particularly deglycosylated flavonoid aglycone fraction exhibited the most prominent celluar protective effect (τ<sub>50</sub>, 164.15 min at 25 μg/mL). The inhibitory effect of Inula britannica flower extracts on tyrosinase was investigated to assess their whitening efficacy. Inhibitory effects (IC<sub>50</sub>) on tyrosinase of some Inula britannica flower extracts were high. Ethyl acetate fraction has IC<sub>50</sub> of 87.03 μg/mL. These results indicate that extract/ fractions of Inula britannica flower can function as antioxidants in biological systems, particularly skin exposed to UV radiation by scavenging <sup>1</sup>O<sub>2</sub> and other ROS, and protect cellular membranes against ROS. And inhibitory activity on tyrosinase of the ethyl acetate fraction and high potential as bactericide against the skin pathogenic bacteria could be applicable to new functional cosmetics for antioxidant, antiaging, antibacterial activity.

        Phenyl 2‐pyridyl ketoxime induces cellular senescence‐like alterations via nitric oxide production in human diploid fibroblasts

        <P><B>Summary</B></P><P>Phenyl‐2‐pyridyl ketoxime (PPKO) was found to be one of the small molecules enriched in the extracellular matrix of near‐senescent human diploid fibroblasts (HDFs). Treatment of young HDFs with PPKO reduced the viability of young HDFs in a dose‐ and time‐dependent manner and resulted in senescence‐associated β‐galactosidase (SA‐β‐gal) staining and G2/M cell cycle arrest. In addition, the levels of some senescence‐associated proteins, such as phosphorylated ERK1/2, caveolin‐1, p53, p16<SUP>ink4a</SUP>, and p21<SUP>waf1</SUP>, were elevated in PPKO‐treated cells. To monitor the effect of PPKO on cell stress responses, reactive oxygen species (ROS) production was examined by flow cytometry. After PPKO treatment, ROS levels transiently increased at 30 min but then returned to baseline at 60 min. The levels of some antioxidant enzymes, such as catalase, peroxiredoxin II and glutathione peroxidase I, were transiently induced by PPKO treatment. SOD II levels increased gradually, whereas the SOD I and III levels were biphasic during the experimental periods after PPKO treatment. Cellular senescence induced by PPKO was suppressed by chemical antioxidants, such as N‐acetylcysteine, 2,2,6,6‐tetramethylpiperidinyloxy, and L‐buthionine‐(<I>S</I>,<I>R</I>)‐sulfoximine. Furthermore, PPKO increased nitric oxide (NO) production via inducible NO synthase (iNOS) in HDFs. In the presence of NOS inhibitors, such as L‐NG‐nitroarginine methyl ester and L‐NG‐monomethylarginine, PPKO‐induced transient NO production and SA‐β‐gal staining were abrogated. Taken together, these results suggest that PPKO induces cellular senescence in association with transient ROS and NO production and the subsequent induction of senescence‐associated proteins<B>.</B></P>

        We are in the critical condition under the IMF. Tourism industry is in the very difficult state. We must try to find a new tourism environment and a new marketing strategy. And then a nice tourism environment must also be built for helping tourists have good tourism. Especially the tourism environment directly and indirectly impacts on the destination decision and the destination image making. And also the components of tourist destination environments are composed of a complex resources, atmosphere etc. Because of each destination has its own character, there could be distinguished the image making. Therefore the decision environments in the tourist destination-the resources play a role to make characteristic of the destinations. Especially the nature and the facilities supply the spaces to use of tourist's activities as well as satisfy the tourist's need. According to this study presents the strategy for the decision environment of destination which includes the mature, the facility, the social/cultural, atmosphere environment. And the tourism environment must design for the tourist should be supposed to be natural, and so the tourist have good tourism.

      • 대도시 생활지역의 환경교육 사례 연구

        대도시 내의 생활지역과 같은 여러 소지역의 자연 및 인공환경을 이해하는 작업은 각 생활지역별 또는 도시 전체범위로 발생하는 환경문제에 대한 올바른 개념형성과 의사결정을 위하여 반드시 이루어져야 한다. 선행 문헌연구와 경관분석은 지역 환경교육 내용을 구성하고, 그의 교수-학습을 위한 주요 접근법이다. 또한 생활지역과 인근지역의 환경요소들은 효과적인 환경교육의 학습자료 및 내용으로 구성 될 수 있다. 현재의 있는 그대로의 지역 환경경관을 관찰하는 것이 도시의 환경교육 내용을 구성하는 데에서 중요하다. 지역 환경교육의 내용과 조사범위 지정, 주요 환경지표를 위한 교수활동은 조사지역에 대한 선행연구 분석, 경관분석에서 교사의 역할이 매우 큰 비중을 차지한다는 것을 뜻한다. 부산광역시의 좌천동·수정동·초량동 일대에 대한 환경학습 사례에서는 교사의 연구에 의한 학습자료의 구성과 제시가 학습자활동을 효과적으로 활성화시킬 수 있다는 관점 하에 구성하였다. 이러한 사례는 어느 특정 지역의 교사가 지역 간 교사들의 모임이나 학술활동을 통하여 다른 지역의 환경 정보를 얻으며 풍부한 환경교육의 자료로 이용할 수 있는 발판이 된다. Understanding of the natural and artificial environments of the living areas in the metropolitan region must be worked out for the right conception-building and decision-making about the environmental issues in their local living area together with the city as a whole. Bibliographical regional studies and landscape analyses are important in constructing and learning contents of the regional and environmental education. The environmental elements of living area and its neighboring area can be fieldsurveyed a nd mapped for the learning materials. The present environmental state of the region’s landscape is important in the construction of the city’s environmental contents. The study of previous works and landscape analysis on the study area are rather the teacher’s job for setting up the range and content of the regional environmental education and presenting major environmental indices to the student. As in a case of Jowacheon, Sujeong and Choryang-dong of Busan metropolitan city, just field work on the natural and artificial landscapes reveals many regional and environmental phenomena. For approaches to more materials of case studies, the teacher in local school has to collect other regions’ environmental informations through meetings for local teachers and academic activities.

        Varicocele is found in approximately 10-15% of young men and consists of abnormal tortuosity and dilatation of the pampiniform plexus above the testis, with the left side more commonly affected. Physical examination is the most widely used method for detecting varicoceles but other techniques may be more sensitive such as Doppler ultrasonic stethoscope, internal spermatic venography, thermography, radioisotope, and color Doppler sonography. Various open surgical techniques for varicocele correction have been reported and these procedures include ligation of the internal spermatic vein at or above the internal inguinal ring. Nonsurgical procedure is less effective that percutaneous method such as balloon catheter, sclerosing agent or stainless steel spring coil is used to occlude the veins. Varicocele remains of an important correctable cause of infertility. There are many theories of the mechnism about the cause of infertility in varicocele patients, however pathophysiology remains poorly understanding. The fact that semen quality improved following surgical correction of varicocele in subfertile adults, may suggest the existence of reversible testicular dysfunction. And, infertility may be decreased by strict diagnosis and treatment of varicocele. A clinical study was made on 75 cases of varicocele during the period from June 1986 to June 1996.

        Zr계 Vitreloy 박막의 특성에 대한 조사

        We have grown Zr based vitreloy alloy thin films by thermal deposition methode and ion beam sputtering method and compared them with Zr-Ti-Cu-Ni-Be bulk metallic glass bulk. Thermal analysis caused Zr-Ti-Cu-Ni-Be bulk metallic glass to recrystallize in the two region. The onset point temperature of the first region was 414.12℃ and the peak temperature was 410.02℃. The onset point temperature of the second region was 445.21℃ and the peak point temperature was 454.45℃. The X-ray diffraction measurement and thermal analysis as a function of temperature showed that the bulk metallic glass thin films recrystallize in the same temperature region. As a result, Zr based vitreloy alloy was the same as phase transition of bulk metallic glass bulk and bulk metallic glass thin film.

        태내 산화-항산화환경이 4세 소아 행동발달에 미치는 영향

        Objectives We aimed to define the effects of antioxidant vitamins and oxidative stress in the intrauterine period on childhood neurobehavioral development. MethodsZZ The behavioral status of 100 children (aged four) at Ewha Womans University Mokdong Hospital in Korea was examined using the K-CBCL. Their maternal vitamin and oxidative stress Status were analyzed at midterm as intrauterine circumstance indices. The relationship between intrauterine condition and childhood behavioral development was analyzed using a general linear model. ResuItsZZ K-CBCL scores were lower in the group which took high levels of maternal vitamins B_(6) and B_(12) than scores in the group which too low levels of these vitamin. In contrast, the group with high maternal oxidative stress exhibited higher scores in behavioral problem scales. After adjusting for inborn and childhood environmental covariates, K-CBCL differences were statistically significant in the B_(2) group comparison (high group vs. low group ; total problem : 47.01±1.0 vs. 53.0±1.8, internalizing Problem 46.5±1.0 vs. 51.2±1.8). In addition, significant highest means of K-CBCL were in low vitamin and high oxidative stress group than other combined groups. ConcIusionZZ We have established a relationship between maternal vitamins and oxidative stress during pregnancy, and a 4 year-old child's behavioral development. This suggests that preventive efforts during pregnancy are influential on early childhood behavioral problems.

        Airline fares are based on demand. When setting fares, airlines take into consideration variables like the number of passengers in a particular market, passenger income level, competitors' prices and related travel expenses, passenger preferences and passenger expectations with respect to future travel. The major objective of the airlines is to maximize revenue from each flight by offering the right mix of full and low fares. Many airlines have developed yield management computer system that allocate the right mix of seats for the right price. Each Airline fare is designated a “fare basis” that is composed of a combination of letters and figure. This indicates the seat availability for the specific fare on every flight. This article is tried to study yield management of airfare and understand the optimal allocation of available seat to different classes under the airfare counting strategy. Especially EMAR model can be applied to the multi-class estimations with the objective of maximizing total expected revenue. And then airfare models for Yield management are critical to reaching financial success in the airline industry. And they are called economies of scope rather than economies of scale. They are arisen from factors like the control of distribution, price leadership, loyalty marketing schemes and frequent flyer programmes.

        제7차 환경교육과정 특성에 대한 미학적 고찰

        제 7차 환경과 교육과정에서는 초등학교와 중·고등학교에서의 환경교육이 균형있는 환경인식을 형성할 수 있도록 가치관, 지식, 기능, 태도, 참여 등 다양한 영역에 걸쳐서 목표를 제시하고 있다. 내용영역에서도‘인간과 환경’, ‘환경문제’, ‘환경보전’이라는 세 영역을 초등학교와 중·고등학교에서 계속적으로 다루면서 심화·확대시키고 있다. 특히 고등학교에서는 이들 세 영역 이외에‘환경과 사회’의 영역 등을 추가하여 학습자들이 자연과학적인 측면에서의 이해에서 벗어나 인문·사회과학적인 측면에서의 접근을 통해 우리의 삶과 환경과의 밀접한 관련성을 인식하고, 환경문제해결에 참여할 수 있도록 하고 있다. 그러나 제 7차 환경과 교육과정에서도 학습자들의 일상적인 삶의 영역과의 관련성을 염두에 두고 있으면서도 대부분의 내용들이 환경파괴나 환경오염, 그리고 그에 대한 대책 등과 관련된 것들이 대부분이어서 학습자들로 하여금 환경적 감수성이나 환경에 대한 아름다움을 통한 환경교육의 가능성이 그만큼 제한되어 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 경관을 매개로 한 미학적인 관점에서 제 7차 학교급별 환경교육의 특성을 비판적으로 살펴보고자 한다. The 7th national curriculum for environmental education in elementary and secondary school focuses on consideration of learner’s ability, learner’s activities, and learner’s region of everyday life. The contents of environmental education are scattered subjects in elementary schools and an independent subject as ‘Environment’ in middle school and ‘Environment and Ecology’ in high school of the secondary school. With upgrading of schools, the aims and activities of environmental learning move up from valuecentered, through activity-oriented and to cognition-centered. The esthetic considerations, such as landscape sensitivity, are required for better environmental education curriculum focusing on value and attitudes in everyday life space or region.
