      • 배추 생육 중 토양 수용성 양이온의 경시적 변화 모니터링

        토양의 치환성 이온 함량이 아닌 식물체에 직접 흡수되는 수용성 이온들을 모니터링 하는 것이 중요하다. 배추가 생육하면서 토양 중 수용성 양이온들의 함량이 어떻게 변하는지 확인하고, 각 이온의 농도에 따라 그에 알맞은 처방이 이루어져야 한다. 토양 시료는 경기도 이천시의 배추 밭에서 정식 이후 16, 35, 48, 70일에 처리구별 각 3반복씩 채취하였다. 처리구는 N 기준 무처리구(Nil), NPK 비료 표준 시비량의 50% 처리구(Con), 100% 처리구(Inf), 그리고 표준 시비량의 50% 처리구에 음폐퇴비가 100%(C100), 200%(C200), 300%(C300) 추가된 처리구가 있다. 채취한 토양은 풍건 후 2 mm 체에 거르고 1:5 비율로 증류수 추출하였으며, Whatman No.2 필터를 사용하여 여과한 후 0.45 μm 실린지 필터로 재 여과하였다. 토양 추출액의 분석은 (주)테크넬 POCT 분석 키트를 사용하였다. 화학비료 처리구의 토양 중 Na의 농도비율은 생육기간 중 꾸준히 증가하는 경향이 있었다. 하지만 K의 농도비율은 시간이 지남에 따라 경시적 감소가 명확하였다. 음폐퇴비 처리구의 경우 토양 중 Na의 농도비율은 생육기간 중 증가하는 경향이었으며, 특히 퇴비 처리수준에 비례하여 높아졌다. Mg의 농도비율은 모든 처리구에서 비슷한 수준을 유지하였다. 모든 처리구에서 토양 중 K의 농도비율 감소는 Na 농도비율의 증가와 상관관계가 높았다.

        As a part of efforts for conformity of demand in regard to high quality of concrete, blast-furnace slag has been utilized by means of cement replacement. Superior performance can be ensured, environmental pollution can be prevented and economical advantage can be obtained with utilization by cement placement. But the study on the blast-furnace slag is not systematic and reasonable. So, it is planed that basic data in regard to technique of manufacturing and economic improvement of high quality concrete is showed with experimental comparison and investigation of engineering properties of high quality concrete utilized by cement placement of blast-furnace as industry by-product in this study.

      • 골반경수술 146예에 대한 임상적 고찰

        Pelviscopic surgery has been reported to have minimal tissue damage and bleeding, and to reduce cost and recovery time for patients undergoing a variety of procedures. The field of gynecologic operations that can be performed by pelviscopic procedures has expanded rapidly. This report is a retrospective review of 146 cases of pelviscopic surgery from January, 1991 to February 1996 to evaluate the efficacy of pelviscopic surgery in gynecologic patients. The results of this review were summarized as follows; 1. The majority of patients was between 21 and 40 years of age(84.2%), mean age was 33.1 years. 2. Preoperative clinical indications were adnexal mass 77 cases(52.7%), ectopic pregnancy 48 cases(33.9%), uterine myoma 9 cases(6.2%), and etc. 3. Types of surgery were salpingectomy 43 cases(29.5%), salpingoophorectomy 41cases(28.1%), LAVH 9 cases(6.2%) and etc. 4. The previous operation history was found in 34 cases(23.3%), and the type of previous operation were Cesarean section 11 cases(32.4%), appendectomy 10 cases(29.4%), and there were 5 cases of previous history of ectopic pregnancy. 5. The mean duration of hospitalization was 5.8 days.

      • 결장직장암 환자의 임상적 고찰 : 조선대학교 부속병원의 10년 간의 결과

        Background and Objectives: The colorectal cancer rates 4th in the total cancer prevalence in Korea. The clinical patient demographics were considered with the incidence rate of the colon and rectal cancer. The clinicopathological factors were analyzed for the 5 year survival rate. Materials Methods: Of the 282 patients who were operated from Jan. 1, 1992 to Dec. 31, 2001 and diagnosed by pathological biopsy as colo-rectal cancer, 234 patients were followed up. The age, sex, location of the cancer, TNM stage, operation method, histopathological classification, metastatic region, complications after operation and the survival rate were investigated. Results: Of the 234 patients, male and female consisted of 120 cases (51.3%) and 114 cases (46.7%), with an average age of 61.6 years. The average follow up period was 52.3 months and the peri operative mortality was 5.6%. The site of the cancer was most frequent at the rectum with 127 cases (54.3%). The patients were classified according to the TNM stages with 38 cases of stage 1 (16.2%), 98 cases of II (41.9%), 72 cases of III (30.8%) and 26 cases of IV (11.1%). The 5 year survival rate in the age group older than 50 was 63.3 % and 73.5% in the group younger than 50. In regard to the operation type, the 5 year survival rate was 65.4% for elective operation and 65.8% for emergency operation. The 5 year survival rate for well differentiated, moderately differentiated, poorly differentiated cancer, and mucinous adenocarcinoma was 73.7%, 60.2%, 58.3%, and 92.6%, respectively. The 5 year survival rate of each of the TNM stage is 81.1%, 74.8%, 57.0%, and 11.5% for Classes I, II, III, and IV, respectively. Conclusion: The clinical factors were analyzed for the 5 year survival rate with no statistical significance for the age, sex, and location of the cancer. The TNM stage and histopathological differentiation were statistically significant. The colon cancer showed better prognosis compared to the rectal cancer.

      • 돌연변이에 의한 효모의 bur6 대립유전자 유도

        The Ydr1/Bur6 heterodimeric complex is a general transcription represser in the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The BUR6 gene is an essential gene for cell viability and the counterpart of DRAP1 transcription corepressor in human. The BUR6 gene was mutagenized by in vivo mutagenesis using repair-deficient mutant XL1-red or in vitro mutagenesis using hydroxylamine. The mutagenized bur6 alleles replaced URA3 plasmid-borne BUR6 on 5-FOA medium by plasmid shuffle and screened for their pleiotropic phenotypes. Fifty seven bur6 alleles were isolated among 5,280 transformants. The fifty seven mutants included 17 FOA-sensitive mutants, 20 temperature-sensitive mutants (at 37℃) and 20 cold-sensitive mutants (at 17℃). We assume that the 17 FOA-sensitive mutants have non-functional bur6 alleles. We are conducting DNA sequence analysis to determine the nature of the bur6 mutations. These data will provide the basis of the structure-function of Bur6 protein. These bur6 alleles with conditional phenotypes will be used to generate revertants to look for suppressor genes of bur6 which might be involved in transcription.

        Activation energy has different value according to cement, admixture and water-cement ratio. Also the relation of age-temperature is as non-linear as activation energy value is large. Therefore to make accurate explanation for the effect of temperature on concrete strength development properties, it is necessary for activation energy value to explain in the maturity function. This study compares and estimates equivalent age used activation energy value that obtained by this experiment and Freiesleben activation energy value with compressive strength of concrete. As the result of this study, activation energy value obtained by this study has more accurate explanation temperature's influence about concrete strength development than Freiesleben activation energy value.

      • 매트릭스형 도파관 레이저의 출력광 특성분석

        The paper presents the results of design of a new, matrix waveguide laser resonator, in which the synchronization of beams, arising from four, independent waveguide channels was realized. For separate treatment of waveguides, important is not only determination of waveguide attenuation but also losses for coupling of radiation with waveguide and losses connected with injection of radiation from one channel to another. Coupling losses can be easily calculated numerically. Normally it is limited to such resonator modes that have field inside resonator very close to the hybrid mode EH11 exhibiting the lowest propagation losses inside resonator. It is assumed additionally, that outside the waveguide, the field in the resonator is the superposition of TEM00 modes (Hermitt-Gauss). Coupling losses mirror waveguide is determined through the comparison of field distribution after it returns and earlier transformation to gaussian modes and reflection on the mirror. We got the unitary gaussian output profile, the shape which is same in conventional laser resonator, was obtained from the matrix waveguide resonator.

        The objective of this study is to propose the method of predicting concrete compressive strength and re-bar yield strength which are necessary for the remodeling and preservation of buildings. This study analyzed tested 28-day concrete compressive strength and re-bar yield strength which were reported in journals of the Architectural Institute of Korea and journals of the Korea Concrete Institute. From the data, the standard normal distribution graph was produced and the reasonable process of expecting concrete compressive strength and re-bar yield strength was suggested.

      • 치주병원균에 대한 유산균의 억제효과

        This study was performed to evaluate the effect of hydrogen peroxide-producing Lactobacillus acidophilus V-20 on the replication of periodontal pathogens, Actinobacillus actinomycetemcomitans and Porphyromonas gingivalis. When A. actinomycetemcomitans and P. gingivalis were incubated alone and in the combination with L. acidophilus V-20, the viable cell numbers of A. actinomycetemcomitans and P.gingivalis were compared between those cultures. The effect of S. mutans, E. durans, and L. lactis on the replication of A. actinomycetemcomitans and P. gingivalis was also evaluated. The change of periodontal indexes(probine depth, gingival index, GCF volume) and the viable cell numbers of A. actinomycetemcomitans and black pigmented bacteroides in subgingival plaque sample were evaluated following gargling of fermented milk made from L.acidophilus V-20 for 1 month on patients with periodontal disease in maintenance phase. In the mixed culture of L. acidophilus V-20 and A. actinomycetemcomitans or P. gingivalis, the replication of A. actinomycetemcomitans or P. gingivalis was completely inhibited. But in the mixed culture of P. gingivalis and hydrogen peroxide-nonproducing Lactobacillus casei, the viable cell numbers of P. gingivalis was not decreased when compared with the numbers in the mixed culture of P. gingivalis and L. acidophilus V-20. In the mixed culture of A. actinomycetemcomitans and S. mutans, E. durans, or L. lactis, the viable cell number of A. actinomycetemcomitans was not almost changed when compared with the numbers in the culture of A. actinomycetemcomitans alone. And in the mixed culture of P. gingivalis and E. durans or L. lactis, the viable cell numbers of P. gingivalis was not almost changed compared with the counts in the culture of P. gingivalis alone. But the replication of P. gingivalis was completely inhibited in the mixed culture of P. gingivalis and S. mutans. When the change of periodontal indexes following gargling of fermented milk was compared with baseline, probing depth and gingival index were not changed, but GCF volume was significantly decreased(p<0.05). And when the viable cell numbers of microorganisms in subgingival plaque sample were compared with baseline, total viable cell number was almost unchanged and the viable cell numbers of A. actinomycetemcomitans and black pigmented bacteroides were significantly decreased(p<0.05). These results suggest that L. acidophilus V-20 inhibit the replication of A. actinomycetemcomitans and black pigmented bacteroides by the formation of hydrogen peroxide.
