To develop SoC program for embedded systems, a tool that can remotely debug from host system is needed. Because the existing remote debugging systems using GDB don't offer information of the SoC program execution in real-time, it is difficult to observe condition of the program execution, and also they have limited characteristics to tools and use costly adaptors. In this paper, a real-time tracking tool that can record SoC status on the nv each execution of the assigned instructions is introduced and an economical USB-JTAG adaptor is proposed. And it is shown that this tool can track the execution of a composed program in the target system based on PXA255 processor.

Dieulafoy's lesion is an uncommon cause of gastrointestinal bleeding. However, it is clinically important in that it can be associated with recurrent and massive gastrointestinal bleeding. The bleeding results from an abnormal large submucosal artery. On endoscopy, a small mucosal defect with a protruding vessel or fresh clot may be visualized if the patient is actively bleeding. In most cases, the lesion is encountered in the proximal stomach within 6 cm of the gastroesophageal junction, but similar lesions have been described in the antrum, duodenum, colon, and rectum. In particular, jejunal Dieulafoy's lesion is extremely rare. We experienced one case of recurrent and massive bleeding from a proximal jejunal Dieulafoy's lesion, which was confirmed by the pathologic examination of the resected specimen. Xanthogranulomatous cholecystitis is an uncommon focal or diffuse destructive inflammatory lesion of the gallbladder. It is characterized macroscopically by yellowish tumor-like mass in the wall of the gallbladder, and microscopically characterized in the early stages by a large number of foamy histiocytes and acute inflammatory cells, and in the )ater stages by increasing fibrosis. It has been usually mistaken for gallbladder cancer and often seen with stones. A case is presented in which a 59-year-old woman with clinical gallbladder cholesterol polyp was found at surgery to have a edematous and thickened wall of gallbladder, multiple black pigmented stones and 3 x 0.5cm sized yellowish mass on gallbladder bed which was confirmed later as xanthogranulomatous cholecystitis, pathologically. In Crohn`s disease, neurologic complications such as cerebrovascular accident, headache, peripheral neuropathy have been reported sporadically. The pathogenesis of these neurologic complications is still unknown and controversial. We experienced a 22-year-old man, with Crohn`s disease accompanied by optic neuritis. Loss of visual acuity was developed during the worsening course of enterocutaneous fistula. After high dose steroid treatment, his visual acuity and neurologic symptoms improved immediately. Background/Aims: Colonic mucosal lesions akin to mucosal changes in portal hypertensive gastropathy have been observed occasionlly in patients with portal hypertension. However the exact prevalence of these lesions, their relationship to the severity of the liver disease and their associations with gastric mucosal changes is still unclear. The present study assesses the prevalence of rectal varices and colonopathy and factors associated with them in liver cirrhosis. Methods: Thirty one cirrhotic patients and 40 controls underwent endoscopic examinations of upper and lower gastrointestinal tract. Results: Colonic mucosal changes were observed in 16 patients (51.6%) while 0 in control group. They included increased vascularity (12/16, 75.0%), spider like lesion (4/16, 25.0%), nonspecific colitis lesion (1/16, 6.3%). Rectal varices were observed in 2 patients (12.5%) but they were not observed in the controls. Pathologic finding in patients with increased vacularity showed dilatation and increase of vessels (5 of 6 patients), but there was no abnormal finding in patients with spider like lesion (0 of 3 patients). The colonic mucosal changes were not associated with the Child's grade of cirrhosis, the grade of esophageal varices, the presence of gastric varices, the history of bleeding or the patient's experience of ligation therapy. However, cirrhotic patients with portal hypertensive gastropathy had higher prevalence (70.6%) of colonic mucosal change than the patients without it (28.6%, p$lt;0.05). Conclusions: Colonic mucosal changes occur frequently in patients with portal hypertensive gastropathy. However, the prevalence of rectal varices is lower in these patients.

Type I neurofibromatosis (NF-1), first clearly described by von Recklinghausen in 1881, is a dominantly inherited neuroectodermal dysplagia occurring in one of 3,000 births. It is fundamentally characterized by the existence of multiple neurofibromas, 'cafe au lait' spots and Lisch nodules (pigmented hamartomas of the iris). NF-1 may affect the gastrointestinal tract in about 25% of cases. Most NF-1 are located in the jejunum or stomach. In up to 40% of patients, there may be acute or recurrent gastrointestinal bleeding. We report the case of a 36-year-old patient diagnosed as having NF-1 in the stool occult blood test accidentally that was located in ascending colon with a review of literature.

Giardia lamblia, a gastrointestinal protozoan, is one of the most common disease-causing parasites in the world. Giardiasis is primarily encountered in areas with poor sanitation, but it is also seen in more developed countries. A possible sequela of Giardia infections of the bowel is reactive arthritis or synovitis. Few reports of synovitis secondary to giardiasis exist in the literature. Arthropathy secondary to giardiasis is uncommon, but may be underdiagnosed. We present a 23 year-old woman who had polyarthritis after Giardia lamblia infestation. The synovitis subsided with treatment of the giardiasis with metronidazole. The diagnosis of Giardia synovitis should be suspected by the presence of Giardia cysts in the stool. Although uncommon, giardiasis can cause severe synovitis that may be confused with a septic joint. (Korean J Med 61:82-85, 2001)
