Recently lithium-ion battery has become an important element in field of energy storage. Also, electrolyte plays an important role in transporting lithium ions between electrodes. Liquid electrolytes have high ionic conductivity but problem is safety issues such as explosion and heat generation. relatively solid electrolytes have high safety but low ionic conductivity. Thus many studies are being conducted to improve the shortcomings. PEO structure has excellent mechanical durability and can be produced at low cost. It also has a porous pore structure that creates strong ion conduction protection, and can form a robust backbone, which has been studied a lot recently. However, when polymerized using a monomer having an epoxy structure, it has a similar shape to the PEO structure, but has a lower crystallinity, so ion transport is better. Therefore, it is expected to have high ionic conductivity, high thermal stability, and thermal properties.

We report a rare case of primary glomerular disease with IgA nephropathy in a 43-year old man. 7-years ago, he was diagnosed with minimal change nephrotic syndrome. After treatment with steroid for 1-year, azotemia and proteinuria were improved. But, nephrotic range proteinuria was relapsed within 1 week after cessation of steroid. Renal biopsy revealed focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, and achived a complete remission with the use of steroids and cyclophosphamide. Then, he was followed up with normal renal function for 4-years. On admission, the patient showed generalized edema and marked proteinuria. In 3rd renal biopsy, mesangial proliferative glomerulonephritis with diffuse global sclerosis was observed. Electron microscopy showed electron-dense deposit on the mesangium with slight mesangial proliferation, and immunofluoroscence microscopy showed granular deposits of IgA and IgM. These features were consistent with IgA nephropathy, different from results of previous biopsies. The pathogenesis of IgA nephropathy occurred with primary FSGS is not clear, as well as treatment. Now, proteinuria is improving, steroid and cyclophosphamide are probably useful for the disease.

A spin coating process for RRAM, which is a TiN/TiO<sub>2</sub>/FTO structure based on a PTC sol solution, was developed in this laboratory, a method which enables low-temperature and eco-friendly manufacturing. The RRAM corresponds to an OxRAM that operates through the formation and extinction of conductive filaments. Heat treatment was selected as a method of controlling oxygen vacancy (V<sub>O</sub>), a major factor of the conductive filament. It was carried out at 100 ℃ under moisture removal conditions and at 300 ℃ and 500 ℃ for excellent phase stability. XRD analysis confirmed the anatase phase in the thin film increased as the heat treatment increased, and the Ti<sup>3+</sup> and OH- groups were observed to decrease in the XPS analysis. In the I-V analysis, the device at 100 ℃ showed a low primary SET voltage of 5.1 V and a high ON/OFF ratio of 10<sup>4</sup>. The double-logarithmic plot of the I-V curve confirmed the device at 100 ℃ required a low operating voltage. As a result, the 100 ℃ heat treatment conditions were suitable for the low voltage driving and high ON/OFF ratio of TiN/TiO<sub>2</sub>/FTO RRAM devices and these results suggest that the operating voltage and ON/OFF ratio required for OxRAM devices used in various fields under specific heat treatment conditions can be compromised.
Synthesis of Gel Electrolyte Used in Lithium-ion Batteries by in-situ Polymerization

Recently, there are many studies to overcome shortcomings of liquid solvent. Among them, Gel polymer electrolyte is one of the replacements for liquid electrolyte. In order to synthesize the gel polymer, In-situ method was adopted. Because when using in-situ polymerization, Polymer has no space between the anode and cathode. As the interface disappears, it has a lower resistance value and a higher conductivity than a solid electrolyte. In addition, since no solvent is used, thermal stability is high and the risk of explosion is reduced. To increase the molecular weight, trimethylolpropane triglycidyl ether, which has three epoxy groups, was selected as a monomer. In addition, only one LiFSI was used for the catalyst and lithium salt. Synthesized polymer was analyzed by using 1H-NMR, FT-IR, DSC, TGA and ion conductivity.
