RCCS Operation with a Resonant Frequency Error in the KOMAC
서동혁 한국물리학회 2015 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.67 No.8
The resonance control cooling systems (RCCSs) of the Korea Multi-purpose Accelerator Complex have been operated for cooling the drift tubes (DT) and controlling the resonant frequency of the drift tube linac (DTL). The DTL should maintain a resonant frequency of 350 MHz during operation. A RCCS can control the temperature of the cooling water to within ±0.1 C by using a 3-way valve opening and has a constant-cooling-water-temperature control mode and resonant-frequency-control mode. In the case of the resonant-frequency control, the error in the frequency is measured by using the low-level radio-frequency control system, and the RCCS uses a proportional-integral-derivative control algorithm to compensate for the error by controlling the temperature of the cooling water to the DT.

A hybrid method of an artificial neural network (ANN) and a support vector machine (SVM) has been used for a health monitoring algorithm of a gas turbine engine. The method has the advantage of reducing learning data and converging time without any loss of estimation accuracy, because the SVM classifies the defect location and reduces the learning data range. In off-design condition, however, the operation region of the engine becomes wide and the nonlinearity of learning data increases considerably. Therefore, an improved hybrid method with the module system and the advanced SVM has been suggested to solve the problems. The module system divides the whole operating region into reasonably small-sized sections, and the advanced SVM has two steps of the classification. The proposed algorithm has been proven to reliably and effectively diagnose the simultaneous defects of the triple components as well as the defects of the single and dual components of the gas turbine engine in off-design condition.

Dempster-Shafer Evidence Theory is available for multi-sensor data fusion. Basic Probability Assignment is essential for multi-sensor data fusion using Dempster-Shafer Theory. In this paper, we proposed a novel method of BPA calculation with signal assessment. We took notice of the signal that reported from the sensor mote at the time slot. We assessed the variation rate of the reported signal from the terminal. The trend of variation implies significant component of the context. We calculated the variation rate of signal for reveal the relation of the variation and the context. We could reach context inference with BPA that calculated with the variation rate of signal.
