        사군자탕(四君子湯)의 항염증 효능 연구

        Objectives : To provide the information of efficacy for Sagunja-tang (Sijunzi-tang; SG), it was evaluated the anti-inflammatory effect. SG, a widely used herbal formula in tranditional Korean medicine, has been used to treat for the Boki-invigorating. In many studies, plant-derived anti-inflammatory efficacies have been investigated for their potential inhibitory effects on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated macrophages. This study was performed to examine the anti-inflammatory effects of SG extract on LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells. Methods : The productions of nitric oxide (NO), prostaglandin (PG)$E_2$, interleukin (IL)-6 and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-$\alpha$ were examined in a macrophage cell line, RAW 264.7 cells, in the presence of the SG extract. RAW 264.7 cells were incubated with LPS $1\;{\mu}g/mL$ and SG extract for 18 hours. The anti-inflammatory activity of SG was investigated by carrageenin-induced paw edema in rats. The paw volume was measured at 0, 2 and 4 hours following carrageenin-induced paw edema in rats. Results : SG extract showed inhibitory effect on $PGE_2$, IL-6 and TNF-$\alpha$ by LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells. But SG extract was not inhibitory effect on NO by LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells. And administration of SG extract (1 g/kg) showed a reduction in carrageenin-induced paw edema on rats. Conclusions : These results suggest that SG extract has anti-inflammatory activities in vitro and in vivo models.

        사상 체질 처방의 항염증 효능 비교 연구

        1. Objectives 4 herbal formulas (Yanggyeoksanhwa-tang, Yeoldahanso-tang, Cheongsimyeonja-tang and Taeeumjowi-tang) were applied to investigate the anti-inflammatory activities. In many studies, plant-derived anti-inflammatory efficacies have been investigate for their potential inhibitory effects on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated macrophages. This study was performed to examine the anti-inflammatory activities of 4 herbal formulas on LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells. 2. The paw volume was measured at 2 and 4 hrs following carrageenininduced paw edema in rats. 3. Results Yanggyeoksanhwa-tang and Cheongsimyeonja-tang showed inhibitory effect on $PGE_2$ production in LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells and a reduction in carrageenin-induced paw edema on rats. Yanggyeoksanhwa-tang showed inhibitory effect on IL-6 in LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells. 4 herbal formulas not affect on NO and TNF-${\alpha}$ inhibition in LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells. 4. Conclusions These results suggested that Yanggyeoksanhwa-tang and Cheongsimyeonja-tang have anti-inflammatory activity.

        Dietary germanium biotite supplementation enhances the induction of antibody responses to foot-and-mouth disease virus vaccine in pigs

        We evaluated the potential ability of germanium biotite(GB) to stimulate the production of antibodies specific forfoot-and-mouth disease virus (FMDV). To this aim, wemeasured the total FMDV-specific antibody responses andIgM production after vaccination against FMD bothexperimentally and in the field. GB supplementation withFMDV vaccination stimulated the production of anti-FMDVantibodies, and effectively increased IFN-γ and TNF-αlevels. These results suggest that GB may be a novelalternative feed supplement that can serve as a boosting agent and an immunostimulator for increasing the efficacyof FMDV vaccination in pigs.

        Attempts to attack hosts in the network have become diverse, due to crackers developments of new creative attacking methods. Under these circumstances the role of intrusion detection system as a security system component gets considerably importance. Therefore, in this paper, we have suggested multiple intrusion detection system based on the contract net protocol which provides the communication among multiple agents. In this architecture, fuzzy rule based system has been applied for agent selection among agents competing for being activated. The simulation models are designed and implemented based on DEVS formalism which is theoretically well grounded means of expressing discrete event simulation models.

      • 수도권 도시개발 분석을 위한 규칙기반 영상분류

        본 연구는 위성영상 자료(2000-2009)를 이용하여 성남-용인 인근지역의 지표변화를 시계열 분석하기 위해 규칙기반 영상분류 방법을 제안하였다. 도시지역의 연도별 변화 패턴을 파악하기 위해 통계적/수학적 기반의 규칙에 따라 11개 클래스로 구분하였다. 훈련지역을 설정하지 않는 무감독분류 방법으로서 규칙을 적용할 수 있도록 알고리즘을 일반화 하였다. 분석 결과, 택지개발 등에 의하여 연구범위 내 도시지역면적이 약 1.45배 증가하였으며, 2009년 영상의 분류정확도는 98%로 나타났다. 방법 검증을 위하여 선분류 후비교법을 이용한 토지피복 변화분석 결과와 비교하였다. 다중영상 내 가용한 데이터를 최대한 이용할 수 있었고, 목적에 최적화된 분류가 가능해져, 분류정확도의 향상을 기대할 수 있었다. 본 규칙기반 영상분류 방법은 향후 도시개발 주제도 제작 및 도시개발, 환경변화 모니터링 등 영상 시계열 분석에 다양하게 적용될 수 있을 것이다. This study proposes a rule-based image classification method for the time-series analysis of changes in the land surface of the Seongnam-Yongin area using satellite-image data from 2000 to 2009. In order to identify the change patterns during each period, 11 classes were employed in accordance with statistical/mathematic rules. A generalized algorithm was used so that the rules could be applied to the unsupervised-classification method that does not establish any training sites. The results showed that the urban area of the object increased by 145% due to housing-site development. The image data from 2009 had a classification accuracy of 98%. For method verification, the results were compared to land-cover changes through Post-classification comparison. The maximum utilization of the available data within multiple images and the optimized classification allowed for an improvement in the classification accuracy. The proposed rule-based image-classification method is expected to be widely employed for the time-series analysis of images to produce a thematic map for urban development and to monitor urban development and environmental change.

      • 면역 기능이 정상인 소아에서 발생한 b형 Haemophilus influenzae에 의한 협부 봉와직염(Buccal Cellulitis) 1례

        어린 소아에서 상기도 감염의 증상이 선행한 후 수 시간 내에 급격히 진행하며 고열을 동반하는 적보라빛의 협부 및 경부 부종이 있는 경우, 반드시 H. influenzae에 의한 감염을 고려하여야 하며, 균혈증 및 무증상적 수막염이 동반될 가능성이 크므로 혈액배양검사 및 뇌척수액 천자를 반드시 시행하여야 한다. 예방접종 시행 전 서구의 경우, 봉와직염이 Hib에 의한 침습성 질환 중 수막염, 후두염 등에 이어 5번째를 차지하며, 전체적으로 2~15%를 차지할 정도로 그 빈도가 높은 것으로 알려져 있으나 우리나라에서는 매우 드물게 발견된다. 저자들은 면역기능에 이상이 없었던 18개월 여아에서 상기도 감염의 증상 및 고열이 선행한지 수 시간 후 급격히 진행하는 적보라빛의 협부 봉와직염으로, Hib에 의한 균혈증이 동반되었고, 2주간 3세대 cephalosporin의 투여로 호전되었던 1례를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Buccal cellulitis which presents with high fever and a swelling of the cheek with violaceous hue in young children is most often caused by H. influenzae. Bacteremia is common in buccal cellulitis caused by H. influenzae, and a culture of cerebrospinal fluid should be obtained because meningitis may be present despite the lack of meningeal irritation signs. Although buccal cellulitis is considered to be one of the important manifestations of H. influenzae infection, only two cases have been reported in Korea yet. We experienced a case of buccal cellulitis with H. influenzae bacteremia in an immunocompetent girl of 18-month-old. She was presented with high fever followed by rapidly progressive swelling and tenderness of both cheeks with violaceous hue in four hours. The blood culture revealed H. influenzae type b. There was no concurrent otitis media, sinusitis, or meningitis and no portal of entry was identified. Fever subsided two days after starting intravenous cefotaxime. Intravenous cefotaxime was subsequently changed to oral cefixime, and antibiotics were administered for a total of two weeks. We report this case with a review of related literature.

        목과(木瓜)추출물이 급성 간손상 흰쥐에 미치는 효과

        Objective: This study was conducted to investigate the effect of Chaenomelis Fructus (CF) water extract on thioacetamide (TAA)-treated rats. Methods: Rats were divided into five groups: one normal group (n=8) and four with TAA-induced hepatic injury. These treatment groups were administered distilled water (n=8); silymarin 100 mg/kg (n=8); CF 100 mg/kg (n=8); and CF 200 mg/kg (n=8). In the TAA groups, the acute liver injury was induced via IP injection (200 mg/kg), and the silymarin and CF extract were then orally administered for three days. Subsequently, serum levels of GOT, GPT, and ammonia were confirmed as well as protein expressions using liver tissue. Results: In the liver injury-induced rats, CF administration reduced tissue damage and serum levels of GOT, GPT, and ammonia. In addition, CF increased the anti-oxidant proteins Nrf2, Keap1, HO-1, and catalase and significantly regulated matrix metalloproteinases (MMP-2 and MMP-9) and their tissue inhibitors (TIMP-1 and TIMP-2). Conclusions: In this animal model of liver injury induced by TAA, CF extract is determined to have a hepatoprotective effect by increasing anti-oxidant proteins that relieve damage and by regulating the expression of matrix metalloproteinases.

        『리시다스』에 나타난 고전 이교주의와 기독교의 대립과 밀튼의 소명의식

        고전 이교주의와 기독교 간의 긴장과 대립은 밀튼의 작품들 속에서 지속적으로 등장하는 주제들 중 하나인데, 『리시다스』에서 이 주제는 또 다른 중요한 주제인 밀튼의 시인-성직자 소명에 대한 문제와 불가분하게 연결되어 있다. 킹의 죽음을 애도하 며 등장하는 고전적, 이교적 심상과 상징들의 자의적 파괴와 고전 이교 신들의 무능함에 대한 질책들과 목가적 위로의 허위성에 대한 시인의 한탄들은 밀튼 자신의 문학적 소명을 형성해온 고전적이고 이교적 요소들의 상징적 죽음에 대한 한탄이며 애도이다. 밀튼의 목가적 슬픔은 목가 장르의 또 다른 함의, 기독교 성직에 대해 엄준한 비판으로 이어지는데, “갈릴리 호수의 키잡이”의 담화를 기점으로 시의 이교적 애도의 분위기는 기독교적 위안과 구원에 대한 기대로 옮겨간다. 기독교적 관점에서 시인과 시의 힘을 긍정한 시인은 마침내 기독교적 부활의 비전속에서 고전 이교주의에 대한 기독교의 우위를 시사하며 킹의 구원과 보상을 노래한다. 또한 그 노래는 제도 교회안에서 성직자-시인으로서 킹과 시인의 지상적 소명으로부터 자유와 새로운 차원의 소명을 암시한다. 아마도 이 비전은 밀튼에게 시인-성직자의 새로운 정체성을 제시하여 그를 시인직과 성직의 좁고 관습적인 개념의 틀로부터 해방시켜 새로운 숲과 새목장을 향해 나아가는 원동력이 되었을 것이다. The contrast between classical paganism and Christianity is one of the recurrent themes in Milton’s works, which is inseparable from the issue of his vocation as a poet-priest in Lycidas. The poet-shepherd’s arbitrary annihilation of classical and pagan symbols in the beginning of the poem, his subsequent rebukes of the pagan deities’ inability to protect King, and his complaint of ‘false surmise’ of pastoral consolation are in a sense a way of expressing the poet’s mourning of the symbolic death of his Orphean ideals of poet and poetry. The poet-shepherd’s pastoral lament is carried over to the severe judgement of the Pilot of the Galilean Lake on the corrupt shepherd-priests in the contemporary Christian church. The Pilot’s emphasis on the shepherd’s nourishing eloquence foreshadows a new conception of Milton’s vocation as a poet-priest, and after the Pilot’s speech the pagan elements begin to be incorporated into Christian ones. Milton’s final vision of King’s salvation achieves the superiority of Christianity over classical paganism and then his liberation from the earthly vocation as a priest-poet within the institutional Church of England. This vision might be also said to have released Milton from the narrow and conventional concepts of the poet-priest to go “to fresh Woods, and Pastures new.”

        연료전지(燃料電池) 막전극접합체(膜電極接合體)의 막분리(膜分離) 및 백금(白金) 회수(回收)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究)

        Present paper reports a new method to separate the electrolyte membranes and carbon paper without using ultrasonic waves and stirring. In this method, these were separated from fuel cell membrane-electrode assembly(MEA) using the distilled water, butanol and surfactant by dipping method without the dispersion of catalyst particles. Separated carbon paper catalysts and fuel cell Pt/C catalysts were heated in aqua regia at $80{\sim}85^{\circ}C$ and added to precipitant. After calcination, Pt metal was recovered which might be used in fabricating new fuel cells. 본 논문에서는 초음파나 교반 없이 전해질막과 확산층을 분리하기위한 새로운 방법에 대해 연구하였다. 증류수, 부탄올, 계면활성제를 이용하여 연료전지 막전극접합체의 전해질막과 확산층을 침지법으로 촉매입자의 분산 없이 분리하였다. 또한 분리된 확산층의 촉매와 연료전지 Pt/C 촉매를 왕수에서 $80{\sim}85^{\circ}C$로 가열하여 촉매입자를 녹여 침전제를 첨가하였다. 이후 소성하여 백긍 금속을 회수하였고 이는 새로운 연료전지용 전극촉매를 만드는데 사용될 것이다.
