        한국 군 장병에서의 불안장애의 발생률

        Objective : To obtain the incidence rate of anxiety disorders among the active duty Korean military personnel, who visited the military hospitals from 2011 to 2013, this descriptive epidemiological study was performed. Methods : After acquiring the data for the anxiety disorders from Defense Medical Statistics Information System, the annual incidence rates were analyzed by forces, position status, and specific disease entities. Results : One thousand, nine hundred and thirteen (1,913) active duty male military personnel were diagnosed with any kinds of anxiety disorders in their first visit to the psychiatric outpatient department (OPD). The total OPD visit counts were 7,870 during the same period. Anxiety disorder, NOS was the most frequent disorder, followed by panic disorder. While the incidence rate for anxiety disorder, NOS decreased, panic disorder displayed increasing tendency. Stress-related disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorder were positioned third and fourth, respectively, for the number of first visit and they both showed decreasing tendency in annual incidence rates. Social anxiety disorder, specific phobias, generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) and mixed anxiety-depressive disorder followed next. The annual incidence rates for anxiety disorders showed decreasing tendency, particularly evident in army soldiers. However, naval officers showed higher anxiety disorder incidence rate compared to those of the army and the air forces. Conclusion : Comparing to general population, panic disorder was higher while specific phobias and GAD were lower in the Korean military. It is interesting to observe higher incidence rate for anxiety disorder in naval officers and warrants further evaluation.

        털머위 (Farfugium japonica)의 캘러스 유도 및 식물체 분화에 미치는 생장조절제의 영향

        털머위의 조직배양에 의한 식물체의 기내 미세증식을 위하여, 잎과 잎자루 조직으로부터 캘러스 유도 및 식물체 분화에 미치는 몇 가지 생장조절제들의 영향을 조사하였다. 캘러스 유도 및 생장은 잎과 잎자루 조직 모두 1∼2 mg/L 2,4-D와 1∼2 mg/L BA의 혼합배지에서 양호하였으며, 치상 조직간 캘러스 유도율은 비슷하였으나, 캘러스 형성시기는 잎절편에서 보다 잎자루 조직에서 더 빠르고 왕성하였다. 캘러스로부터 식물체 분화를 위한 적정 생장조절제의 농도는 1 mg/L NAA와 2 mg/L BA 혼합배지였다. 분화된 식물체는 캘러스와 함께 동일배지에 60일 정도 계대배양하면 다아체를 형성하였다. 분화된 유식물체는 0.5 mg/L IAA를 첨가한 MS배지에 옮겨 30일간 생육시킨 후, 초장 50 mm 이상의 소식물체를 vermiculite에서 순화시켰을 때 생존율은 95% 이상으로 높았으며, 토양활착도 잘 되었다. The leaf and petiole segments of Farfugium japonica were cultured to investigate the influence of growth regulators on their callus induction and plant regeneration. The callus induction and growth showed a good response both leaf and petiole on MS media supplemented with 1∼2 mg/L 2,4-D and 1∼2 mg/L BA. Callus induction and growth were more effective in petiole segments than leaf one. The highest percentage of plant regeneration was obtained from 60-day-old calli on MS medium supplemented with 1 mg/L NAA and 2 mg/L BA. When subcultured to the same medium for about 60 days, multiple shoots were developed from regenerating callus. The shoots produced roots after transferring to rooting medium containing 0.5 mg/L IAA. The plantlets over 50 mm in height were successfully acclimatized in vermiculite, and the survival rate was over 95%.

      • MCS선로를 이용한 스텝 임피던스 저역필터

        MCS(Micro-coplanar strip) 선은 전부터 분석되어 왔었다. 등각 지도로 나타낸 방법은 이 MCD 선의 준정적인 효과적인 유전율 그리고 독특한 임피던스를 산출하기 위하여 이용되곤 했다. 현재 이용되는 모든 성과들은 상업적인 S/W, IE3D를 사용하여 얻어진 결과와 비교할 때 유리한 계약에 있기 위해서이다. 그리고 이 부분에서, 적합한 임피던스 저역 원반꼴 안테나 여과기는 주파수 응답 개량을 위한 MCS 선으로 디자인되고 날조되었다. LPF는 구조는 또한 디자인되고 정지하여 있는 예리한 묶음성 특성이 유지하기 위하여 끈을 실행할 수 있도록 하였다. 가장 끝과 측량 결과에서의 결과는 실행한 LPF로 확인할 수 있다. The MCS(Micro-coplanar strip) line has been analyzed. The conformal mapping method is used to calculate the quasi-static effective permittivity and characteristic impedance of this MCS line. The computed results of the present work are found to be in good agreement when compared with the results obtained using commercial S/W, IE3D. And in this paper, the stepped-impedance low pass microstrip filter is designed and fabricated with MCS lines for improving the frequency responses. The LPF proposed structure has been also designed and implemented to have the sharp attenuation characteristics in stop band. The agreement between simulation and measurement results verify the implemented LPF.

        한국원자력연구소 지하처분연구시설(KURT)의 암석 풍화 및 지화학적 특성

        A basic research was conducted on the mineral weathering and geochemical characteristics in the KURT (KAERI Underground Research Tunnel), which was recently constructed at a site in KAERI. Some rock samples exposed during the KURT construction were examined using a microscope and chemical analysis for some micro-changes of the rocks caused by the chemical weathering. The weathered granite has some small and fine cracks around the rock-forming minerals. In particular, there are a characteristic weathering of feldspar mineral and a preferential leaching of Ca component from the mineral dissolution. In addition, by the dissolution of biotite containing $Fe^{2+}$ component there were iron-oxides precipitates as secondary products into the microcracks of around minerals. The results also show that the micro-cracks initiated from the mineral interior are extended and connected into the larger cracks along the grain boundary with the progress of the weathering. Thus, it is considered that some chemicals dissolved from the fresh rock would be involved in the formation of secondary minerals and migrate interacting with them.

        Mapping of Quantitative Trait Loci Associatedwith Viviparous Germination in Rice

        The viviparous germination (VG) with lodging caused the yield reduction and quality deterioration in rice. We carried out the evaluation of VG tolerance (on the 40th day after heading) and mapping QTLs associated with VG tolerance using the recombinant inbred lines (M/G RILs) from a cross between Milyang 23 (japonica/indica) and Gihobyeo (japonica). The VG rates of Milyang 23 and Gihobyeo were 0.0 and 7.0%, respectively. The averaged VG rate of 162 M/G RILs was 7.7%, and their range was from 0.0 to 50.9%. Of the 162 RILs, 144 lines were tolerant less than 10%, and 18 lines were susceptible more than 10%. Using the M/G RIL Map, three QTLs associated with the viviparous trait were detected on chromosome 2 (qVG 2-1 and qVG 2-2) and 8 (qVG 8). qVG 2-1 was linked to RM 32D and RZ 166, and had LOD score of 2.97. qVG 2-2 was tightly linked to E13M59.119-P1 and E13M59.M003-P2, and showed higher LOD score of 3.41. qVG 8 was linked to RM33 and TCT116, and had LOD score of 2.67. The total phenotypic variance explained by the three QTLs was about 24.4% of the total variance in the population. The detection of new QTLs associated with VG tolerance will provide important informations for the seed dormancy, low temperature germination, or comparative genetics.

        Meniere's disease is characterized by intermittent episodes of vertigo lasting from minutes to hours, with fluctuating hearing loss, tinnitus, and aural pressure. The primary histopathological correlate is endolymphatic hydrops, but its etiology is still disputed. Several medical therapies have been offered to patients with this disease since 1961 that the first report had been given by Prosper Meniere. Some will be helpful for relieving the symptoms but there is still no absolutely effective treatment to cure the disease. One male patient with Meniere's disease was hospitalized in Kyung-Hee medical center, and we treated him with oriental medical therapies. The treatment was effective to relieve his symptoms, and they had been successfully controlled until he was discharged from hospital. The result suggests that the oriental medical therapy is safe and helpful to patients with Meniere's disease, so we reported this case.

        Objective : To report cases of patients with Parkinson's syndrome. Design : Case-series Patients and methods : 35 of patients with Parkinson's syndrome who visited Department of Cardiovascular and Neurologic Diseases of Kyunghee Oriental Medical Center were treated by acupuncture and herbal medicine from May until December 2007. 35 patients were participated in this study. 21 patients were dropped out during the trial, and we evaluated symptom progress of 14 patients by using several questionnaires such as Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale(UPDRS), modified Hoehn & Yahr stage (H&Y stage) and Schwab & England ADL scale(S&E ADL scale). Results : The whole group consists of 14 male patients and 21 female patients. Mean±SD age range is 64.5±8.4. There were no significant differences of the demographic and clinical characteristics between the case group and drop-out group. The mean±SD medical treatment period of the Case group were 8.4±6.3weeks, the mean±SD of the total score in first medical treatment UPDRS section 1~3 were 29.6±11.0, the mean±SD of the final score were 27.1±12.6, all of which showed significant improvement(p=0.007). There were no significant changes on the H&Y stage and S&E ADL scale. Conclusion : Patients with Parkinson's syndrome who visited Department of Cardiovascular and Neurologic diseases of Kyunghee Oriental Medical Center had a tendency of showing improvement in clinical symptoms.

        Influence of Iron Phases on Microbial U(VI) Reduction

        Influence of Iron Phases on Microbial U(VI) Reduction The bacterial uranium(VI) reduction and its resultant low solubility make this process an attractive option for removing U from groundwater. An impact of aqueous suspending iron phase, which is redox sensitive and ubiquitous in subsurface groundwater, on the U(VI) bioreduction by Shewanella putrefaciens CN32 was investigated. In our batch experiment, the U(VI) concentration (5×10^(-5)M) gradually decreased to a non-detectable level during the microbial respiration. However,when Fe(III) phase was suspended in solution, bioreduction of U(VI) was significantly suppressed due to a preferred reduction of Fe(III) instead of U(VI). This shows that the suspending amorphous Fe(III) phase can be a strong inhibitor to the U(VI) bioreduction. On the contrary, when iron was present as a soluble Fe(II) in the solution, the U(VI) removal was largely enhanced. The microbially-catalyzed U(VI) reduction resulted in an accumulation of solid-type U particles in and around the cells. Electron elemental investigations for the precipitates show that some background cations such as Ca and P were favorably coprecipitated with U. This implies that aqueous U tends to be stabilized by complexing with Ca or P ions, which easily diffuse and coprecipitate with U in and around the microbial cell.

        토착미생물의 생지화학적 활동에 의한 지하수의 산화/환원전위 변화 특성

        중금속류나 방사성 물질로 오염된 지하수를 원위치에서 처리(정화 혹은 고정화)하고자 할 때, 반드시 고려해야 할 지화학적 요소 중의 하나는 지하수의 산화/환원전위 값이다. 우리는 생지화학적 작용에 의한 현장 지하수의 산화/환원전위 변화 특성을 알아보기 위해 실험실 조건에서 한국원자력연구원의 심부지하수를 대상으로 전자공여체(젖산), 전자수용체(황산염) 및 토착미생물을 주입하여 시간별로 산화/환원전위 변화를 관찰하였다. 질소가스-충전 글로브박스에 있는 순수 지하수는 시간이 경과함에 따라 미약한 Eh 상승(약산화)이 있었다. 하지만, 젖산, 황산염 혹은 미생물이 주입된 지하수 대부분의 Eh는 감소(환원)하는 특성을 보여주었다. 특히, 국내 토착 황산염환원미생물인 '바쿨라텀'이 주입되었을 때, 지하수의 Eh가 -500 mV 근처까지 감소하여 강환원성 지하수로 바뀌었다. 이처럼 일반 금속환원박테리아에 비해 황산염환원박테리아의 지하수 환원화 능력이 매우 우수함에도 불구하고, 용존 황산철을 필요로 하였고 최종적으로 황화광물(예; 맥키나와이트)이 생성되면서 추후 반응에 관한 예측을 어렵게 하였다. 결과적으로, 미생물 외에도 미량의 영양물질 주입 여하에 따라 지하수의 산화/환원전위가 크게 달라졌으며, 이는 산화/환원전위의 영향을 받는 용존 오염 물질의 산화수, 용해도 및 수착 등의 특성들이 생물자극법에 의해 바뀌거나 조절될 수 있음을 의미한다. As we are trying to in-situ treat (purify or immobilize) heavy metals or radionuclides in groundwater, one of the geochemical factors to be necessarily considered is the value of oxidation/reduction potential (ORP) of the groundwater. A biogeochemical impact on the characteristic ORP change of groundwater taken from the KAERI underground was observed as a function of time by adding electron-donor (lactate), electron-acceptor (sulfate), and indigenous bacteria in a laboratory condition. There was a slight increase of Eh (slow oxidation) of the pure groundwater with time under a $N_2$-filled glove-box. However, most of groundwaters that contained lactate, sulfate or bacteria showed Eh decrease (reduction) characteristics. In particular, when 'Baculatum', a local indigenous sulfate-reducing bacterium, was injected into the KAERI groundwater, it turned to become a highly-reduced one having a decreased Eh to around -500 mV. Although the sulfate-reducing bacterium thus has much greater ability to reduce groundwater than other metal-reducing bacteria, it surely necessitated some dissolved ferrous-sulfate and finally generated sulfide minerals (e.g., mackinawite), which made a prediction for subsequent reactions difficult. As a result, the ORP of groundwater was largely affected even by a slight injection of nutrient without bacteria, indicating that oxidation state, solubility and sorption characteristics of dissolved contaminants, which are affected by the ORP, could be changed and controlled through in-situ biostimulation method.
