소형 삼지 회전교차로의 용량분석을 위한 승용차 환산계수에 관한 연구

이 연구는 다양한 차종의 차량이 혼합되어 운영되는 소형 3지 회전교차로에서 용량과 지체를 산정할 때 고려될 수 있는 새로운 형태의 승용차 환산계수의 모형과 이를 이용한 보정계수의 개발에 관한 것이다. 연구를 위하여 현재 회전교차로의 효과척도로 사용되고 있는 제어지체(Control Delay)를 기반으로 한 산정모형을 개발하고 현장에서 직접 수집한 실험자료를 적용하여 결과를 도출하고, 이를 이용재 외(2001)에서 제의한 모형의 결과와 비교 분석한다. 신호 교차로와는 달리, 회전교차로에서는 아직 중차량에 대한 영향을 객관적으로 감안할 수 있는 승용차 환산계수의 모형이 아직 제시되고 있지 않다. 두 가지 접근법에 의한 분석의 결과는 상호 높은 상관성을 보이고 있으며, 외국의 다른 연구결과와도 유사한 결과를 보이고 있어 향후 이 분야의 연구에 도움을 줄 것으로 판단된다. This study aims at developing a method for estimating passenger car equivalency (PCE) values for various vehicle types that could be considered in estimating capacity and delay at intersections without traffic signals, especially at modern small 3-leg roundabouts. Unlike signalized intersections, the PCE value has not yet been treated explicitly in traffic operations involving unsignalized intersections. Both empirical and theoretical approaches for determining the PCE values at modern small 3-leg roundabouts were evaluated. As a result, the PCEs derived in this study were highly correlated with those of field measurements.

시설을 설치하고 운영하기 위해서는 이 시설을 사용할 대상에 대하여 고려하여야 한다. 교통 시설을 이용할 주요대상은 인간과 차량이기 때문에 이들에 대한 특성분석은 교통공학의 연구분야에서 기초지식이 된다. 교통운영은 물론 교통시설의 설계와 설치에 관련하여 차량의 물리적인 특성과 한계, 사람 특히 운전자와 보행자에 대한 행태분석은 시설 사용시의 소통측면과 안전측면에서 볼 때 필수적으로 연구되어야 할 과제이다. 본 장에서 다루는 주요과제는 차량의 특성중 정태적인 특성과 운동에 관한 기초이론, 운전자의 행태 및 보행자의 행태에 관한 일반적인 특성이다.

부갑상선 낭포의 1예 : Report of a Case

In the parathyroid glands, cystic changes of microscopic size are rather frequently observed in routine surgical or autopsy material. However, the occurrence of a cyst of macroscopic size is rare, and no case has yet been reported in the Korean medical literature. We have experienced a 33 year old female patient, who sought medical care because of a palpable mass in the left anterior neck. Under the general anesthesia, the mass was explored and found to be an oval cyst located at the left anterior position of the neck. It was only slightly adherent to the surrounding supporting tissnes and the thyroid. The mass was surgically removed. In the pathological examination, it was an oval thin walled cyst, 5 X 3.5cm., the cyst wall being 0. 1 to 0.4cm. thick. The outer surface was tan yellow and slightly roughened. The inner surface was smooth and glistening. In the microscopic examination, the inner surface was lined by one or two layers of flattened to cuboidal epithelium surrounded by a thin layer of fibrous tissue. In sections of the thicker area, the large part of the cyst wall was occupied by normal appearing parathyroid tissue, composed mainly of chief cells and lesser number of water clear cells. A histopathological diagnosis of parathyroid cyst was made. The postoperative course was uneventful except that the patient was readmitted for 27 days because of psychiatric symptoms of conversion reaction. Serum calcium and phosphorus levels determined after the extirpation of the cyst were normal. A brief review of the literature on the parathyoid cyst was made.

New method of volume measurement for reference weights of a pressure balance using a gas pycnometer is proposed. The result of volume measurement of proposed method shows the uncertainties of approximately 0.2% at the level of confidence of 95% for reference weights in the ranges of 1 kg, 2 kg, and 5 kg. This measuring system consists of a sample chamber, an expansion chamber, a precision pressure gage, a precison thermometer, a vacuum pump, and helium as a medium gas. The measurement principle of this proposed method is based on Boyle's law. This method will contribute a reliability of the volume measurements of reference weights for a pressure balance to the national measurement standard.

This study aims to develop more user-oriented information literacy education for medical libraries in Korea. For this purpose, we benchmarked some advanced models in and out of Korea, and examined a case of C medical library which is medium size in Korea. Especially, we looked into the actual condition of information literacy education of C medical library and the information need of its users. We suggested some ideas to construct the programs for information literacy education of medical libraries in Korea. Especially, we proposed some considerations, contents and flow for the programs. The results of this study can be useful references whenever each medical library in Korea will start or make up for its information literacy program.
