다수치아를 상실한 엇갈린 교합 환자에서 임플란트와 $Locator^{(R)}$ attachment를 이용한 가철성 국소의치 증례

When losing many of the remaining teeth, the relation among them can be put into dynamically unfavorable situation. In the case that the patient without any incompatibilityto the denture, overdenture can be considered. Moreover, we can overcome the dynamical disadvantage, and improve the support, stability, and retention of the partial denture by using implant at the edentulous area. In this case, patient with crossed occlusion between few remaining teeth was treated with maxillary and mandibular partial denture. Single implant fixture was placed at the edentulous space, opposing to the maxillary teeth occluded, and $Locator^{(R)}$ attachment was connected. The patient's esthetic satisfaction was improved by ideally adjusting the tilted occlusal plane. Since the patient was satisfied both esthetically and functionally, and maintained stable during the clinical observation for 6 months after the treatment, we would like to report about it. 다수 잔존치를 상실한 경우 잔존치간의 관계가 역학적으로 불리한 상황에 놓일 수 있다. 환자가 의치에 관한 거부감이 없을 때, 이러한 경우 피개의치를 고려할 수 있지만, 무치악 부위에 임플란트를 이용함으로써 역학적인 불리함을 극복하고 국소의치의 지지, 안정, 유지를 향상시킬 수 있다. 본 증례는 소수 잔존치간에 엇갈린 교합을 보이는 환자로 상악 치아에 대합되는 하악의 무치악 부위에 단일 임플란트를 식립하고 $Locator^{(R)}$ attachment를 연결하여 상하악 국소의치로 치료하였다. 기존의 기울어진 교합평면을 이상적으로 재설정하여 환자의 심미적 만족도를 향상시켰다. 치료 이후 6개월간의 임상 관찰에서 환자는 심미적, 기능적으로 만족하고 안정적으로 유지되었기에 보고하고자 한다.
Preliminary evaluation of new 68Ga-labeled cyclic RGD peptides by PET imaging

Integrin αvβ3 plays an important role in the tumor metastases and angiogenesis. Arginine-glycine-aspartate (RGD) peptide motif binds to the integrin αvβ3. General 68Ga-labeled cyclic RGD peptides was rapidly eliminated from the circulatory system by renal excretion because of its hydrophilic property. The purpose of this study was to develop a novel 68Ga-labeled cyclic RGD peptides, which could acquire enhanced PET tumor images with improved pharmacokinetics by adopting biphenyl group between chelator and RGD peptides. 68Ga-DOTA2P-c(RGDyK) was demonstrated a 12% higher lipophilicity level than 68Ga-DOTA-c(RGDyK) as a reference compound. In the animal PET, 68Ga-DOTA-2P-c(RGDyK) represented relatively lower blood-clearance, and an increased signal to noise ratio compared to 68Ga-DOTA-c(RGDyK). From these perspective, 68Ga-DOTA-2Pc(RGDyK) could be a good candidate for in integrin αvβ3-expressed tumor imaging. J Radiopharm Mol Probes 2(2):118-122, 2016

‘산호미’는 국립식량과학원 상주출장소에서 중산간지 재배에 알맞은 복합내병성 고품질 벼를 육성하고자, 2002년 하계에 상미벼를 모본으로 하고, 상주24호와 화영벼의 F1 개체를 부본으로 인공교배 하였다. F3 세대 이후에는 계통육종법으로 전개하였으며, 주요 농업형질 조사, 병해충 저항성 및 미질특성의 조사를 실시하였고, 2009~2010년 생산력검정을 실시하여 복합내병성을 갖춘 YR24337-53-3-18-3-3 계통을 선발하였으며 상주44호로 계통명을 부여하였다. 2010~2012년 지역적응성시험을 실시한 결과 대조품종인 오대벼에 비해 도열병, 흰잎마름병, 줄무늬잎마름병에 강하며 외관품위가 매우 우수하여, 2012년 농작물 직무육성 신품종-선정심의회에서 신품종으로 선정하여 ‘산호미’라 명명하였고, 북부평야지, 중산간지 및 남부고냉지에 적응하는 품종으로 보급하게 되었다. 출수기는 7월 26일로 오대벼 보다 2일 빠르며, 간장과 수장은 오대벼보다 1 cm 작고 주당수수는 14개, 수당립수는 82개로 오대벼와 비슷하다. 등숙비율은 85.4%로 오대벼보다 높으며, 현미천립중이 21.1 g으로 중소립종이다. 유묘내냉성은 오대벼와 비슷하고 출수지연일수가 8일로 오대벼에 비해 짧으나, 임실률이 39%로 낮은 편이다. 도열병, 흰잎마름병(K1~K3)과 줄무늬잎마름병에는 저항성이나 오갈병 및 검은줄 오갈병에는 약하다. 쌀알은 심복백이 없이 맑고 투명하며 아밀로스 함량은 오대벼와 비슷하며, 단백질 함량은 6.7%로 약간 높고 밥맛은 매우 양호하다. 오대벼에 비해 도정률은 낮은편이나, 완전미 도정수율이67.3%로 오대벼보다 높다. 수량성은 6개소에서 보통기 표준재배시 4.99 MT/ha 로 오대벼보다 2% 낮았다. ‘Sanhomi’, a new japonica rice cultivar developed from a cross between Sangmibyeo and F1 plant derived from the cross between Sangju24 and Hwayeongbyeo having bacterial blight and rice stripe virus resistance was developed by the rice breeding team of Sangju Substation, NICS, RDA in 2012. This variety has about 114 days of growth duration from transplanting to harvesting in southern mid-mountainous area of South Korea. It has 70 cm culm length and tolerance to lodging. In reaction to biotic and abiotic stresses, it shows multiple resistance to blast, bacterial blight and rice stripe virus. The milled rice of ‘Sanhomi’ exhibits translucent and, relatively clear non-glutinous endosperm, and medium short grain. This variety has a higher milled rice recovery (67.3%), better palatability of cooked rice and similar amylose content (19.9%) compared with Odaebyeo. The milled rice yield performance of this variety was about 5.60 MT/ha in local adaptability test for three years. ‘Sanhomi’ would be adaptable to southern mid-mountainous of South Korea.

Occupational fatal injury rate per 10,000 population of Korea is still higher among the OECD member countries. To prevent fatal injuries, the causes of accidents including human error should be analyzed and then appropriate countermeasures should be established. There was an severe converter furnace accident resulting in five people death by chocking in 2013. Although the accident type of the furnace accident was suffocation, many safety problems were included before reaching the death of suffocation. If the safety problems are reviewed throughly, the alternative measures based on the review would be very useful in preventing similar accidents. In this study, we investigated the converter furnace accident by using human error analysis and accident scenario analysis. As a result, it was found that the accident was caused by some human errors, inappropriate task sequence and lack of control in coordinating work by several subordinating companies. From the review of this case, the followings are suggested: First, systematic human error analysis should be included in the investigation of fatal injury accidents. Second, multi man-machine accident scenario analyis is useful in most of coordinating work. Third, the more provision of information on system state will lessen human errors. Fourth, the coordinating control in safety should be performed in the work conducting by several different companies.

Arginine-glycine-aspartate (RGD) peptide binds to the integrin αvβ3, which plays a crucial role in tumor angiogenesis and metastasis. Previously developed 68Ga-labeled cyclic RGD peptides are rapidly excreted from the circulatory system. In the present study, we developed a 68Ga-labeled cyclic RGD peptide with a biphenyl group between the chelator and RGD peptide, i.e., 68Ga-NOTA-biphenyl-c(RGDyK). Then, we performed the comparison with the reference compound, i.e., 68Ga-NOTA-c(RGDyK). 68Ga-NOTA-biphenyl-c(RGDyK) was 37% less hydrophilic than 68Ga-NOTA-c(RGDyK). For positron emission tomography imaging, 68Ga-NOTA-biphenyl-c(RGDyK) had a longer retention time and showed a higher signal-to-noise ratio in tumors than 68Ga-NOTA-c(RGDyK). However, the biphenyl-radiopeptide displayed the relatively high non-specific binding. From these perspectives, incorporation of the biphenyl group to the RGD generates pros and cons.
