        감염근관에서 Black-Pigmented Bacteria의 동정에 대한 연구

        Black-pigmented bacteria have been implicated in the endodontic infections. This group of microorganisms includes Porphyromonass endodontalis, Porphyromonas gingicalis, Prevotella intermedia, and Prevotella nigresceus. The organisms display a wide variety of virulence factors that may be pertinent to acute endodontic infections. The aim of this study was to identify P.endodontalis, P.gingivalis, P.intermedia, and P.nigrescens by using special potency disk test, filter paper spot test, 16S rRNA gene-directed PCR, and API 32A. Microbial samples were collected from root canals of 33 intact teeth with necrotic pulp and/or apical periodontitis. Conventional laboratory methods were used for identification of the strains of black pigmented bacteria. Eighteen of 33 samples were positive for the growth of black-pigmented bacteria. Five colonies were cultured from each pure cultured colonies from Brucella agar plate. Seventy seven colonies were positive for the growth of black-pigmented bacteria. Thirty three of 77(42.6%) were identifed as P.nigrescens, 10 of 77(12.9%) were P.gingivalis, 6 of 77(7.8%) were P.endodontalis, 10 of 77(12.9%) were P.intermedia. On the contraty the reference strains of P.nigrescens, experimental strains of P.nigrescens was sensitive to kanamycin in special potency disk test. 16S rRNA gene PCR and API test after rapid presumptative identification methods. such as special potency disk test and filter paper spot test, would be accurate detection methods for black-pigmented bacteria.

        서울과 부산지역 기상의 영향을 제거한 오존농도 추세

        Surface ozone concentrations are highly sensitive to meteorological variability. Therefore, in order to reveal the long-term changes in ozone due to the changes in precursor emissions, we need to remove the effects of meteorological fluctuations on the annual distribution of surface ozone. In this paper, the meteorologically adjusted trends of daily maximum surface ozone concentrations in two major Korean cities(Seoul and Busan) are investigated based on ozone data from II(Seoul) and 6(Busan) sites over the period 1992~2000. The original time series consisting of the logarithm of daily maximum ozone concentrations are splitted into long-term, seasonal and short-term component using Kolmogorov-Zurbenko(KZ) filter. Meteorological effects are removed from filtered ozoned ozone series using multiple linear regression based on meteorologcial variables. The long term evolution of ozone forming capability due to changes in precursor emission can be obtained applying the KZ filter to the residuals of the regression. The results indicated that meteorologically adjusted long-term daily maximum ozone concentrations had a significant upward trend(Seoul:+3.02%yr¹, Busan: +3.45%yr¹). These changes of meteorologically adjusted ozone concentrations represent the effects of changing background ozone concentrations as well as the more localized changes in emissions.

      • 간호중재분류체계(NIC)를 이용한 중환자실 간호중재 분석

        The purpose of this research was to identify nursing interventions performed by the ICU nurses from 2 university hospital in Taegu. For this research, I used the Nursing Intervention questionnaire developed by the Iowa Intervention Project and translated by korean specialists and professor concerned to the same field. In order to obtain the data, a special group of professor, head nurse, charge nurse, researcher was instituted. The special group work validataed 205 nursing interventions with agreement of more than 50% becuse the NIC(433 nursing intervention) survey process was too time-consuming and not appropriate for all labels. The data were collected from June 1 to 30, 1999 and analysed with SAS program. The obtained results are as follows; (1) 94 interventions were performed at least daily. (2) The most frequently used nursing interventions were Parenteral Medication Administration, Aspiration Precautions, Pressure Ulcer Prevents, Positioning, Airway Management, Cough Enhancement in rank. In conclusion, this research using NIC has helped to figure out the component to the ICU care in korea. The use of this results will contribute to enhance quality assessment and improve standard of ICU nursing.

        연안도시지역 해풍지연이 오존분포에 미치는 영향

        The late sea-breeze and its impacts on ozone distributions were investigated during April to September from 1998 to 2002, in the Busan metropolitan area (including surrounding areas) using the surface ozone concentrations (obtained at 9 monitoring sites), local meteorological variables (obtained near the shore), together with synoptic data. The urban scale ozone concentration was also simulated using the MM5/UAM-V to better understand the role of late sea-breeze in Busan. The results from observation study showed that most of the late sea-breeze occurred when weak offshore synoptic flow (northwesterly) suppressed development of sea-breeze, and the ozone concentration level and frequencies exceeding ozone standard increased with the onset time of sea breeze. We also found that the late sea-breeze clearly induces relatively weak wind speed and high temperature during the daytime. As a result it enhances the photochemical ozone accumulation and delays the occurrence time of the averaged maximum ozone concentrations. The results of simulation for high ozone episode (24 August, 2001) by MM5/UAM-V revealed that the late sea-breeze interacted with weak offshore synoptic wind can contribute significantly to high ozone concentration in the coastal urban area. The simulated horizontal and vertical distribution of ozone concentration indicated that ozone can be accumulated over the sea under stagnant condition and return to the land in the late afternoon with the sea breeze, suggesting both the relationship between late sea-breeze and recirculation and the importance of late sea-breeze effects influencing severe ozone pollution in Busan.

      • 율촌 LNG 발전소의 공냉식 복수기 사용에 따른 열확산 수치모의

        In this study, thermal diffusion caused by using air cooled condenser at LNG power plant in Yulchon was simulated through in numerical method (Matsuno scheme). The input data of model was used to seasonal wind components (u, v) of automatic weather system (AWS) and seasonal temperature ranges between inflow and outflow of opening air. The aim of this study was twofold : (1) to investigate sensibility analysis of thermal diffusion coefficient : (2) to simulate diffusion of heat source through the calculated effect height for season and stability variations. These sensibility analyses were performed in detail using two case studies one is to apply horizontal and vertical thermal diffusion coefficient as 50 m-ls-1 and 10 m-ls-1, the other is 30 m-ls-1 and 10 m-ls-1 respectively. It is well known that the sensibility for thermal diffusion coefficient is low owning to very similar results. Consequently, thermal diffusion for the first case is simulated by using effect height for season and stability variation. The temperature is under 1℃ at surface whereas that is high at near the center of effect height.

      • 트레드밀 운동시 흡기근 테이핑이 폐활량에 미치는 영향

        이 연구는 트레드밀 운동과 키네시오 테이핑의 효과에 따른 폐활량의 변화를 알아보기 위해 26명의 비흡연자가 참가하였으며 키네시오 테이핑을 적용하지 않은 그룹과 키네시오 테이핑을 적용한 두 그룹으로 무작위로 배정하고 각 군들을 주 3회 6주간의 트레드밀 훈련을 실시하였다. 실험 전과 후, 스파이로미터를 사용하여 키네시오 테이핑의 적용 따른 폐활량 변화 효과를 측정하였다. 이 연구의 결과를 종합해보면 키네시오 테이핑을 적용 그룹에서 적용하지 않은 그룹에 비해 FVC, FEV1에서 유의한 증가를 보였다. 이러한 결과는 건강한 성인에서 키네시오 테이핑을 적용한 경우 키네시오 테이핑을 적용하지 않고 트레드밀 운동을 한 경우보다 폐활량의 향상에 효과적이라고 생각되어진다. The purpose of this study was to investigate the variation of vital capacity(VC) according to the effects of kinesio taping with treadmill exercise. Twenty-six non-smokers were participated in this research and these subjects were randomly assigned into two groups. To measure the VC variation effects of kinesio taping, spirometer was used. The collected data were analyzed statistically by using a paired Mauchly test and repeated measure ANOVA. The results of this study were as follows; A group: treadmill with kinesio taping B group: treadmill without kinesio taping. Between A and B, there were significant differences. In the case of A group, there was 11.66% increase of VC, during 3 weeks experiment(p<.01). In the case of B group, there were significant differences, 3.35% increase of VC, during 3 weeks taping intervention(p<.01). After 6 weeks experiment, the improvement of VC shown a significant difference with intergroup (p<.05). From this result, it was revealed that treadmill exercise with kinesio taping was effective to improve VC to healthy adult than treadmill exercise without kinesio taping.

      • 창원지역에서의 대기오염물질 배출량 산정

        Emissions of air pollutants (TSP, SO2, NO2, CO, and HC) was estimated in Changwon city that has the industrial complex and basin terrain. We found that the emissions of TSP, SO2, NO2, CO, and HC were 897 tons, 3,287 tons, 5,706 tons, 10,057 tons, and 1,470 tons for a year, respectively and the main source of air pollutants were vehicle. The ratios of vehicle emissions to total emissions ware TSP 63.8%, SO2 26.1%, NO2 65.5%, CO 91.0%, HC 94.4%. The ratios of industry emissions to total emissions were TSP 30.8%, SO2 60.2%, NO2 25.2%, CO 6.4%, HC 3.7%. The ratio of life emissions to total emissions are TSP 5.4%, SO2 13.7%, NO2 9.3%, CO 2.6%, HC 1.9%. The concentration distributions of air pollutants simulated by ISCST3 model were similar to its emission distributions, and relatively high concentrations of air pollutants occurred in the Palyong-dong (industrial area) and Banlim and Chungang (residual area).

        Comparison of Arbekacin and Vancomycin in Treatment of Chronic Suppurative Otitis Media by Methicillin Resistant <i>Staphylococcus aureus</i>

        <P>Methicillin-resistant <I>Staphylococcus aureus</I> (MRSA) is a major cause of ear infections. We attempted to evaluate the clinical usefulness of arbekacin in treating chronic suppurative otitis media (CSOM) by comparing its clinical efficacy and toxicity with those of vancomycin. Efficacy was classified according to bacterial elimination or bacteriologic failure and improved or failed clinical efficacy response. Ninety-five subjects were diagnosed with CSOM caused by MRSA. Twenty of these subjects were treated with arbekacin, and 36 with vancomycin. The bacteriological efficacy (bacterial elimination, arbekacin vs. vancomycin: 85.0% vs. 97.2%) and improved clinical efficacy (arbekacin vs. vancomycin; 90.0% vs. 97.2%) were not different between the two groups. However, the rate of complications was higher in the vancomycin group (33.3%) than in the arbekacin group (5.0%) (<I>P</I>=0.020). In addition, a total of 12 adverse reactions were observed in the vancomycin group; two for hepatotoxicity, one for nephrotoxicity, eight for leukopenia, two for skin rash, and one for drug fever. It is suggested that arbekacin be a good alternative drug to vancomycin in treatment of CSOM caused by MRSA.</P>
