Hypo-pigmenting effect of sesquiterpenes from Inula britannica in B16 melanoma cells

During the course of screens to identify antimelanogenicagents from natural resources, we found thatthe methanol extract of the dried flower of Inula britannicaL. inhibited melanin synthesis in cultured melanoma cellsstimulated with 3-isobutyl-1-methylxanthine (IBMX). Abioassay-guided isolation of the chloroform fraction of theI. britannica using an in vitro melanogenesis inhibitionassay led to the isolation of sesquiterpenes, 1-O-acetylbritannilactone(1), britannilactone (2) and neobritannilactoneB (3). Compounds 1 and 2 significantly reducedmelanin production in a dose-dependent manner with IC50values of 13.3 and 15.5 lM, respectively, whereas compound3 was found to be cytotoxic. Compound 1 alsoinhibited the tyrosinase activity only in cell based-systems. Western blot analysis indicated that compound 1 inhibitedmelanogenesis by activating extracellular signal-regulatedkinase (ERK) and Akt signaling and also inhibiting cAMPrelated binding protein, which regulates its downstreampathway, including tyrosinase, tyrosinase related protein-1and TRP-2. These results demonstrated that compound 1, amajor sesquiterpene from the flowers of I. britannica,exhibited anti-melanogenic activity by suppression of tyrosinase expression via ERK and Akt signaling. Takentogether, our results suggest that these compounds may actas potent natural skin-lightening agents.
스마트기기 사용여부에 따른 배움 인식 차이에 관한 연구

본 연구는 스마트기기 사용여부에 따른 배움 인식 차이에 대해 알아보고자 했다. 구체적인 연구문제로 첫째, 스마트기기 사용여부에 따라 배움에 대한 인식에 차이가 있는지와 둘째, 차이가 나타난다면, 어떤배움의 특성이 두드러지게 나타나는가를 알아보고자 했다. 스마트기기 사용자와 비사용자 대부분은 스마트기기를 통해 배울 수 있다고 생각하고 있었다. 배움과 관련한 다섯 가지 척도(의미생성력, 자기주도력, 실천력, 개조력, 공동 배움력)에 관한 사용자와 비사용자간의 평균차이를 비교한 결과, 의미생성력과, 자기주도력, 실천력에서 사용자의 평균이 비사용자의 평균보다 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 분석되었다. The purpose of this study was to examine the differences of erudition level by usage of smart devices. First of all, researchers surveyed 217 university students to research differences level by usage of smart devices, and which Erudition factor is marked. Findings of the study showed that smart user and nonuser were all thought that they could learn through the smart devices. The result that compared average differences between smart devices user and nonuser in regard to the scale of Erudition(meaning generative ability, self-direction ability, practical ability, reformation ability, co-erudition ability) showed that there are meaningful differences in the average of the user than the nonuser in meaning generation ability, self-direction ability, practical ability.
NeRF와 3DGS 기술을 적용한 콘텐츠 활용 사례 연구

NeRF와 3DGS 기술은 2D 이미지와 영상을 학습하여 3D 정보로 재구성하고 영상으로 실시간 렌더할 수 있다는 점 때문에 최근 주목받는 기술 중 하나이다. 기술 적용과 콘텐츠 활용 사례들을 바탕으로 분석한 결과, 사용자들이 실제로 콘텐츠를 제작할 수 있도록 지원하는 웹 기반, 모바일 기반 플랫폼과 2D와 3D 제작프로그램과 같은 기존 소프트웨어의 업데이트들이 계속 등장하며 실제 콘텐츠 제작에 활용 가능한 방법들이 계속 확장되고 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 검색 엔진과 어셋 제작, 제품 홍보, 뮤직비디오와 영화, 가상 스튜디오와 가상 전시 등의 분야에서 실제 기술을 사용해 콘텐츠를 제작한 사례들을 분석한 결과, 일반 카메라와 스마트폰으로도 접근이 쉽고, 3D 전문가가 아닌 2D 전문가들도 제작 가능하며, 현실 공간과 객체의 디테일한 정보까지 쉽게 가상공간에 가져올 수 있는 점에서 앞으로의 콘텐츠 제작에 많은 활용이 기대된다. NeRF and 3DGS technologies have recently gained significant attention due to their ability to learn from 2D images and videos to reconstruct 3D information and render it into real-time video. An analysis of technology applications and content utilization cases revealed a continuous expansion of practical methods for content creation. These include the emergence of web-based and mobile-based platforms as well as updates to existing software such as 2D and 3D Graphic production programs that enable users to create content more effectively. Additionally, case studies in fields such as search engines, asset creation, product promotion, music videos, films, virtual studios, and virtual exhibitions demonstrate the potential of these technologies. Their accessibility through standard cameras and smartphones, combined with the ability for 2D professionals rather than 3D experts to create content, and the ease of importing detailed information from real-world spaces and objects into virtual environments, indicate promising opportunities for future content creation.
An integrated heteroscedastic autoregressive model for forecasting realized volatilities

A new strategy for forecasting realized volatility (RV) is proposed for the heteroscedastic autoregressive (HAR) model of Corsi (2009). The strategy is constraining the sum of the HAR coefficients to one, resulting in an integrated model, called IHAR model. The IHAR model is motivated by stationarity of estimated HAR model, downward biases of estimated HAR coefficients, and over-rejection of ADF test for long-memory processes. Considerable outof- sample forecast improvements of the IHAR model over the HAR model are demonstrated for RVs of 4 financial assets: the US S&P 500 index, the US NASDAQ index, the Japan yen/US dollar exchange rate, and the EU euro/US dollar exchange rate. Forecast improvement is also verified in a Monte Carlo experiment and in an empirical comparison for an extended data set. The forecast improvement is shown to be a consequence of the fact that the IHAR model takes better advantage of the long memory of RV and the conditional heteroscedasticity of RV than the HAR model.

In the last essay 'A Research of the Function and System in the Structure of Films' I mentioned the PKS-Model of Peter Wuss. This is three step model with perception, concept and stereotype guided structure works as reception guideline during seeing a film. We saw recently through the analysis of the film <Das Leben der Anderen> that the PKS-Model is useful for examination of the functional relationship of film structure that conducts the process of film experience of spectator. On the Base of the last studying it is tried here to analyze the functions and roles of film structures in the documentary film with the example <Triumph des Willens> of Leni Riefenstahl. The important points are how consists of the functional structure of a documentary film and how differently or similar works it during the film experience in comparison with the fiction film.
