        Omental infarction, the end result of impaired perfusion to the greater omentum, is a rare benign self-limiting clinical entity. The main clinical symptom is non-specific localized abdominal pain with a moderately raised white blood cell and erythrocyte sedimentation rate. These findings often mimic an abdominal surgical emergency. This condition is often misdiagnosed as acute appendicitis or cholecystitis. The characteristic feature of CT scan and ultrasonography provide non-invasive diagnosis in most patients with omental infarction. We report a case of patient whose CT scan showed the characteristic finding of omental infarction. The patient was improved spontaneously only with conservative care.

      • Multiple myeloma 환자에서 Bortezomib치료 후 발생한 마비성 장폐색증 1례

        Bortezomib is the first clinically available proteasome inhibitor that is clinically effective in the treatment of multiple myeloma. A proteasome inhibitor acts through multiple mechanisms to arrest tumor growth, tumor spread, and angiogenesis. The main adverse effects of bortezomib are gastrointestinal symptoms, cytopenia, fatigue, and peripheral neuropathy. To date, severe paralytic ileus has not been reported as a toxic effect of bortezomib treatment in multiple myeloma. Bortezomib is a novel agent that has only been used clinically for 30 months, so a need exists to further evaluate its toxicity. We report a case of grade Ⅲ (NCI CTCAE v3.0) or grade Ⅳ(SWOG toxicity criteria) paralytic ileus in a 65-year-old man with relapsed multiple myeloma who underwent one cycle of single-agent bortezomib treatment scheduled in a 21-day cycle (1.3 mg/㎥ as a single i.v. bolus on days 1, 4, 8, and 11).

      • 당뇨병 백서의 간세포에서 Glucokinase 활성도 및 유전자 발현에 대한 인슐린의 영향

        목적 당대사의 조절 상태에 따른 생체 변화를 분자 수준에서 이해하고자 식이 조건을 달리한 정상 백서와 화학적으로 유도된 당뇨병 백서의 간조직에서 혈당수준과 인슐린치료 정도에 따라 나타나는 글루코키나제 활성도 및 유전자 발현을 분석하였다. 방법 스트렙토조토신 정맥투여 후 당뇨병의 유발을 확인하고, 인슐린을 1일 3회 3일간 복강내로 투여하여 상태를 안정시킨 후, 인슐린 투여군은 인슐린 투여 6시간이내에 그리고 인슐린 비투여군은 24시간 후 단두하여 채혈하고 복강을 열어 간조직을 채취하였다. 채취한 간조직에서 글루코키나제 활성도는 인산화된 포도당에서 NADH의 형성을 형광분광계로 측정하였으며, 글루코키나제 유전자 mRNA발현은 Northern 분석법을 이용하였다. 성적 정상 백서에서 공복상태와 식이를 섭취한 경우에 간조직의 글루코키나제 효소의 활성은 차이가 없었으나, 글루코키나제 유전자 mRNA 발현은 증가되었다. 당뇨병이 유발된 백서의 간조직에서 글루코키나제 효소의 활성 및 글루코키나제 유전자의 mRNA 발현은 정상 백서에 비하여 낮았다. 인슐린 투쳐 후 글루코키나제 효소의 활성 및 글루코키나제 유전자의 mRNA 발현이 증가되었고, 특히 혈당이 정상화된 경우에서 글루코키나제 유전자의 mRNA 발현이 증가도었다. 결론 인슐린에 의한 간조직에서 글루코키나제 효소의 활성 및 글루코키나제 유전자의 mRNA을 증가를 볼수 있었다. 당뇨병 백서에서 인슐린 투여 후에 혈당조절이 안된 경우 간조직의 글루코키나제 유전자의 mRNA 발현이 증가가 없는 것으로 보아 글루코키나제 mRNA의 발현에는 인슐린 이외의 다른 요소가 관여할 것으로 생각된다. The liver-specific hexokinase isoenzyme, referred to as glucokinase, is thought to play a key reglulatory role in hepatic glucose metabolism. The glucokinase gene is, therefore, of interest both because of its tissue-specific expression and because of the several regulatory processes that can be analyzed. The level of hepatic glucokinase activity appears to be determined essentially by regulation of the rate of enzyme synthesis, with insulin playing a leading role as an inducer. We investigated the role of insulin for the induction of glucokinase in the liver of diabetic rats. Experimental diabetes was induced by injection of streptozotocin 7 days before the experiment. Regular insulin was given by three days intraperitoneal injection at 8-h interval. The glucokinase mRNA in the liver was estimated by Nothern blot assay, as well as by fluorometric enzyme activity assay. Glucokinase activity was not reduced in the liver of normal fasting rats as compared to normal fed rats. And glucokinase activity was reduced in the liver of diabetic rats as compared to normal rats. In diabetic rats treated with insulin, glucokinase enzyme activity were increased. But glucokinase mRNA expression was only increased in normoglycemic diabetic rat with treated with insulin as compared to hyperglycemic rat. These data indicate that insulin stimulates hepatic glucokinase enzyme activity and mRNA expression. But other hormonal or metabolic factors may be contribute to regulation of glucokinase mRNA expression.

        블리스터 시험법을 이용한 열증착 금박막의 기계적 성질 측정

        Mechanical properties, including Young's modulus, residual stress and rupture strength, of a thermally evaporated gold film have been measured form a blister test. In a theoretical study, the priniple of minimum potential energy and that of virtual work have been applied to the pressurized circular membrane problem, and load-deflection relations have been derived for typical membrane deflection mode of spheroidal shape. In an experimental study, circular gold membranes of 4800 A-thickness and 3.5mm diameter were fabricated by the silicon electropolishing technique. Mecahnical properties of the thin gold films were deduced from the load-deflection curves obtained by the blister test, Young's moduli, obtianed from blister test, have been in the range of 45-70 GPa, while those of bulk gold have been in the range of 78-80 GPa. Residual stresses in the evaporated gold films have been measured as 28-110MPa in tension, The rupture strength of the gold film has turned out to be almost equal to that of dental gold alloy (310-380MPa). It has been demonstrated that the present specimen fabrication method and blister test apparatus have been effective for simultaneous measurement of Young's modulus, residual stress and repture strength of thin solid films. Especially, the electropolishing technique employed here has provided a simple and practical way to fabricate thin membranes in a circular or an arbitrary shape, which could not be obtained by the conventional anisotropic silicon mecromachining technique.

        동진강 수계 농업용수 수질평가

        동진강 수계의 수질현황을 파악하기 1994∼1998년 까지 4∼9월에 월 1회에 걸쳐 5개년간 조사한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 월별로는 빗물에 의한 희석효과로 7, 8월에 수질이 가장 양호하였으며, 4월이 다소 불량하였으나 수도생육 피해 한계농도에는 미치지 못하는 수준이었다. 지점별 수질현황은 생활하수 유입지인 정읍천과 지천의 폭이 좁은 원평천의 무기성분 함량이 높았으며 동진천 상류지역에서 가장 양호하였다. 연도별 현황은 '94년 이후 '95년까지는 수질이 악화되는 경향을 보였으나 '95년 이후로는 각 성분 함량이 낮았지는 등 점점 양호해지고 있으며 COD함량으로 볼 때 특히, 정읍천의 수질이 개선되고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 양이온과 음이온의 총당량온 4월에 가장 높았고 7, 8월에 가장 낮았으며 양이온/음이온의 당량비는 5월에 높았고 7월이 가장 낮았으며 지점에 따라서는 총당량은 정읍천, 원평천, 동진천 하류, 중류, 상류의 순위였으며 양이온/음이온 총당량 비율은 원평천이 상대적으로 작은 수치를 보였지만 지역간 큰 차이는 보이지 않았다. 수질 중 각 성분 상호간의 상관관계를 보면, 대개의 성분 상호간에 유의성이 높게 나타났으나, NO₄^--N는 대개의 성분과 유의성이 없었고, PO₄^(3-)-P도 COD, NH₄^+-N, NO₃^--N, SO₄^(2-)과는 유의성을 보이지 않았다. This study was conducted to monitor the irrigation water qualities along Dong-Jin river watershed. The water quality was surveyed at 6 sites from April to september during 1994∼1998. And the results were as follows : In July and August, water quality was better than that of any other months due to dilution with rainwater. Whereas, it became worse in April but it involved lower contents than limitted contents affected to the crop damage. Content of inorganic components was higher at Jeong-up and Won-pyeong stream. The reason for it that Jeong-up stream was deteriorated with sewage water from Jeong-up city, and Won-pyeong stream has narrow width. Water quality in upstream of Dong-Jin river, was evaluated best conditions in all sampling sites. For investigated period, water quality got worse from 1994 to 1995 but it was getting better to 1998 after 1995, especially at Jeong-up stream. The total equivalent of cation and anion was the highest at April through all months and at Jeong-up stream in sampling sites. Equivalent ratio of cation to anions(∑C/∑A) was higher at May than any other months and lower at Won-pyeong streams than any other sites. The value of most inorganic components was highly correlated with those of other components. But the value of NO₃^--N was not correlated with that of most components, and PO₄^(3-)-P was not correlated with COD, NH₄^+-N, NO₃^--N, SO₄^(2-_.

        The purpose o f this research is to develop method and tool that are available to quantitatively estimate CO₂exhaust, energy consumption and resource. The results of this study brings on the recommendation of promoted environmental friendly building and the active device for the global environmental problems. This paper mainly dealt with the composition of the economic estimate part(LCC program) of building environmental performance assessment. The composited LCC program had logic to use data of life cycle, cost information of materials, etc. these data was constructed to execute building life cycle assessment(LCA) and when user input building data(material quantity, building area, life cycle, estimate period, discount rate, etc.), LCC analysis result is showed by annualized method.

        MetaGene: SCORM 기반 학습 객체의 메타데이터 생성 및 컨텐츠 패키징

        본 연구는 SCORM 기반 학습 객체의 메타데이타 생성 즉 Asset, SCO, Contents Aggregation과 Contents Package에 대한 메타데이터를 생성하는 시스템(MetaGene)을 개발한다. SCORM을 지원하는 LMS내 API 어댑터와 인터페이스를 위한 학습 객체 내에 API 활성화 함수를 객체들이 LMS에 전송되게 PIF(Package Interchange File)로 패키징 시킨다. MetaGene에 생성된 학습객체의 메타데이터와 컨텐츠 패키지의 manifest file을 SCORM^(TM) Conformance Testsuite을 이용하여 유효성을 검증한다. This study develops the System(MetaGene) to create meta-data for learning object based on SCORM including meta-data of Assets, SCO, Contents Aggregation and metadata of Contents Package. API function code is embeded in Learning Object for interfacing API adopter in LMS to support SCORM and for tracking on learning process based on data models. Also, the learning objects are packaged the PIF(Packaged Interchange File) to transmit with LMS. MetaGene is verified by SCORM^((TM)) Conformance TestSuite for meta-data of learning objects, manifest file of Contents Packaging.

      • 護國佛敎와 佛敎의 國家觀 : 靑潭大宗師의 護國思想과 관련해서

        호국불교의 시작은 인도불교의 ‘淨佛國土思想’에 있다. 대승경전인 『大品般若經』『維摩經』을 보면, 정불국토사상은 ‘佛法에 의해 국토를 청정히 한다’는 의미이며, 그 방법은 ‘六婆羅密을 닦아서 般若空을 깨닫는 것’에 다름 아니다. 정불국토사상에서는 아직 ‘국가 내지 국왕을 수호한다’는 개념은 나타나지 않는다. 반면, 중국불교는 ‘國家佛敎’이며 불교는 황제와 밀접한 관련이 있었다. 護國三部經인 『金光明經』『法華經』『仁王經』을 살펴보면, 『金光明經』『法華經』이 ‘모든 중생에 의한 경의 受持, 讀誦’을 강조한 반면, 『仁王經』에서는 ‘國王이 경을 수지, 독송하면 국토가 편안해질 것이다’고 해서 국왕중시의 사상이 두드러진다. 한편, 靑潭大宗師의 ‘佛法에 의해 교단을 정화한다’는 淨化理念은 호국불교와 다름이 없으며, 그것은 인도적 의미의 정불국토사상에 가깝다. 그러나, 복지사회건설을 위해서는 ‘국가’의 역할이 중요하다고 생각하셨고, ‘국가를 수호해야 한다’고 주장하셨다. 대종사에 있어서 ‘호국’이란 ‘破邪顯正’과 ‘衆生敎化’의 두 가지 의미를 가진 것이었다. 즉, 호국이란 ‘악의 무리로부터 국가를 수호하는 것(破邪顯正)’이며 동시에 ‘佛法修行의 願力과 결과를 중생에게 회향하는 것(衆生敎化)’에 다름 아니었다. Buddhism for national protection is originated from 'Purifying Buddha nation thought' in India Buddhism. If see 『Mahāprajñāpāramitā-sūtra』(『大品般若經』)and 『Vimalakīrti-nirdeśa-sūtra』(『維摩經』), the meaning of 'Purifying Buddha nation thought' is 'Purifying the nation by Buddha's teaching'. Yet, the notion of protecting nation and emperor is not appeared. But, Chinese Buddhism is national Buddhism and clearly related to emperor. If see 『Suvarnaprabhāsa-sūtra』(『金光明經』)and 『Saddharma-pundarīka-sūtra』(『法華經』),they emphasize that 'all Sentient beings' should take and read these sūtra. But, in 『renwangjing(『仁王經』)』it propose that 'the emperor' should take and read this sūtra. Finally, Buddhism for national protection of Chung-dam is same to his Purifying Movement, and is similar to Purifying Buddha nation thought. Buddhism for national protection of Chung-dam have two meanings. The one is 'Breaking bad things and Appear good things' and the other is 'Guiding Sentient beings'. However, Chung-dam emphasized the role of nation to build well-fare society.

      • 메타인지 학습 전략이 초등학교 학생들의 학업성취도에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study is to examine the effects on meta cognitive learning strategies on 6th graders' achievement. So It is designed to divide 2 groups; treatment group with meta cognitive learning strategies in science class and control group with traditional way and later analyzed the meta cognitive level, achievements and self-efficacy by comparing 2 groups. The outcome of this study can be summarized like the following. Frist, Meta cognitive ability in general area is extended by meta cognitive learning strategies. Their wholly monitoring which recognize themselves, process of task and achievements can choose effective strategies. It showed that it makes meta cognitive ability improve meaningfully. Second, Meta cognitive learning strategies is effective improving science achievements. It is revealed that self-recognition and using meta cognitive learning strategies of their study behavior influenced on it. Especially continuing allow to use meta cognitive learning strategies which enforced to check up their activity during their learning has a good effect on the achievements. Third, Meta cognitive learning strategies tells on the self-efficacy. It influenced on the advancement of self efficacy which is related to the learning motivation. It is confirmed that using the meta cognitive learning strategies lead to improvement of motivation and furthermore give positive suggestions to using learn strategies. Judging from the results, the following recommendations can be made: First, this study is not analyzed the effect of meta cognitive learning strategies in various group on account of the shortage of the students. But supplementary and advanced science education is applied in the 7th curriculum, as the replacement of it, it makes enlarge the number of students and is need to study the effects of meta cognitive learning strategies in accordance with the level of students. Second, It is necessary to develope various questions for meta cognitive thoughts in science text book.
