레이저 회절발법에 의한 네마틱상 MBBA의 비선형 광학성 동력학

170㎛ 두께의 네마틱 MBBA film에 레이저 여기빔을 교차시켜 회절발을 형성시켰을 때 회절 신호를 시간적으로 추적하여 비선형 광학 동력학적 정보를 얻었다. 여기빔의 파장이 355nm이고 펄스의 세기가 10mJ/㎠일 때 회절신호의 시간적인 모양은 sub-ms, ms이 시간대에서 구분할 수 있는 4개 성분으로 구성되어 있다. 회절발의 간격이 8㎛일 때 가장 빠른 성분은 실험기기의 한계시간(~20ns)내에서 발생하고 약 10㎲시간으로 사라지는데 이는 계면의 열확산에 기인한다. 이 성분은 탐사빔의 편광에 크게 의존해서 나타난다. 네마틱상-등방상 상전이 지점에 접근하는 온도가 되면 이 편광의존성은 감소한다. 가장 약하고 느린 성분은 100ms의 시간대에서 관찰되어지는데 cis-MBBA의 질량확산이라 볼 수 있다. sub-ms 와 ms 시간대에서 회절신호의 지배적인 중간의 두 성분은 각각 지수함수적으로 증가하고 지수함수적으로 감소함을 보여준다. 두 성분의 원인은 각각 레이저 조사에 의한 온도변화로 인해 질서도의 파괴 및 회복, 레이저에 의해 형성된 광변형 상태에 의한 질서도의 파괴 및 회복에 기인한 것으로 판단된다. 온도가 상전이 점에 가까워지면 물질의 광학 비선형도는 다차회절이 눈으로도 관측될 정도로 증가한다. 다차회절신호를 휴리에 변환하여 회절발의 모양을 합성함으로써 주로 광변형상태의 존재가 다차회절의 원인, 즉 비이상적으로 높은 비선형 광학성의 중요한 원인으로 생각할 수 있다.

We have developed the exclusive CAD/CAM system for the machining of impeller blades. This study is about the modeling method for the effective machining of impeller blades formed by ruled surface. As the impeller is consisted of boss part and blade part, the boss is modeled by rotational surface of hub curve on z-axis and the blade is described by ruled-surfaces between hub curve and shroud curve. This modeling process can be carried out on the software developed in this study. And, the developed software can describe the impeller as a solid model through interface with Solid-Works software. The developed software containing the interface method proposed in this study was very effective for impeller modeling.

This study is continuous with the study 1 (A Study on the Modeling) and the sample impeller of this study is defined by the modeling process of the exclusive CAD/CAM system developed in the study I. And, this study describes a method for the 5-axis machining of impeller blades formed by ruled surface. Therefore, the exclusive CAD/CAM system is the software for modeling and machining of impeller blades. By using the machining method suggested in this study, we could manufacture impeller blades on 5-axis CNC machining center and the machined impeller was very agreeable to the designed impeller. Thus, theories proposed in this study can be very useful for the 5-axis machining of impeller blades.

Cutaneous polyarteritis nodosa(CPAN) is a rare vascular disorder that affects small and medium-sized arteries in the reticular dermis and subcutaneous tissue. It has been described as a distinct clinical entity with benign and a chronic prolonged course without systemic involvement. Hepatitis B virus-related polyarteritis nodosa (HBV-related PAN) is typical form of classic PAN. Its pathogenesis is not well known, but considered an immune complex-mediated disease. The patients with HBV-related PAN often present with malignant hypertension, orchitis, and vascular nephropathy. But, HBV-related CPAN has been rarely reported. Rheumatoid vasculitis is a complication of rheumatoid arthritis that can be lead to variety of clinically significant skin and systemic conditions, It has been reported before or at the time of rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis but is usually seen an average of 10 to 14 years after arthritis onset. The histological features of cutaneous vasculitis in rheumatoid arthritis overlapped both the characteristics of cutaneous necrotizing venulitis and cutaneous polyarteritis nodosa. But polyarteritis nodosa-like rheumatoid vasculitis has rarely been reported. We report a case of rheumatoid arthritis and cutaneous polyarteritis nodosa in a chronic hepatitis B with acute exacerbation.

In this paper, a microcomputer-based Engine Monitoring System which can measure the cylinder pressure and injection time for analyzing engine performances is designed. A rotary encoder which is more precise than magnetic pick up is used for picking up the crank angle. The data acquisition of cylinder pressure with I degree step in high RPM can be available by proposed parallel process method of two A/D converters which reduces the conversion time by half as a result. The IMEP (Indicated Mean Effective Pressure) is also calculated by microcomputer.

Objectives : This study aims to test the validity of the Korean version of Mood Disorder Questionnaire (K-MDQ), a Screening instrument for bipolar disorder. Methods : A total of 238 subjects (126 DSM-IV bipolar outpatients and 112 controls without psychiatric history) completed the K-MDQ. Results : The Cronbach's alpha, used to measure the internal consistency of the scale, was high (0.88). Principal component analysis with varimax rotation revealed three factors, which explained 59.5% of the variance. Individual item correlations with the total score were all statistically significant (p<0.001). The mean total score of the K-MDQ was 8.48 in bipolar disorder and 4.51 in non-clinical participants. A total K-MDQ score of 7 or more excluding further two questions was chosen as the optimal cutoff, as it provided good sensitivity (0.75) and specificity (0.69). Conclusion : The results of this study showed adequate validity of the K-MDQ, suggesting that this instrument is useful for screening of bipolar disorder.
특성불안이 높은 성인과 낮은 성인에서 알코올이 정신운동성 수행과 주관적 평가에 미치는 영향

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to evaluate effects of alcohol on psychomotor performance and subjective assessments in normal adults with high and low trait anxiety. Methods : The subjects consisted of 11 men in each group were tested with two doses of alcohol(0.25g/㎏ and 0.75g/㎏). Blood alcohol concentration(BAC), psychomotor performance(critical flicker fusion threshold, CFFT ; choice reaction time, CRT) and subjective assessment were measured at pre-alcohol baseline and 20, 40, 80, and 160 minutes after intake of alcohol. Results : 1) There was no significant difference in BACs between two groups at any time points after intake of each dose of alcohol. 2) After intake of 0.25g/kg alcohol, high anxiety group, compared to low anxiety group, reported less anxious and more relaxed feelings. In psychomotor performance test, however, there was no significant difference between the two groups. 3) After intake of 0.75g/kg alcohol, CFFT was increased in high anxiety group while it was decreased in low anxiety group. In subjective assessment, only high anxiety group tended to show more positive response. Conclusion : These results imply that alcohol may be more beneficial in individuals with high trait anxiety than those with low trait anxiety in terms of objective performance and subjective feelings. Furthermore, these suggest that the alcohol benefits might contribute to drinking more alcohol and frequently in individuals with high trait-anxiety.
