전통적 IPA 모형과 수정된 IPA 모형의 비교를 통한 제주도 관광경험 이해

이 연구는 관광객 경험에 기반 한 관광목적지 경쟁력 평가의 유용한 도구로써 IPA 모형의 효용성을 고찰하였다. 특히, 전통적 IPA 모형과 편상관계수 기반 수정된 IPA 모형의 비교를 토대로 수정된 IPA 모형의 유효한 효과를 강조하고자 하였다. 연구 결과는 관광목적지 품질속성의 의미를 직관적으로 이해하는데 용이한 전통적 IPA 모형은 통계적 분석방법의 부재로 해석에 제약이 존재할 수 있음을 보여준다. 반면에, 수정된 IPA 모형은 평가 대상의 경쟁우위 품질속성 식별에 이점을 제공할 수 있다는 경험적 근거를 관찰할 수 있었다. 실무적으로 이 연구는 관광목적지 경쟁력 진단의 결정 도구로 수정된 IPA 모형의 효과성을 강조하며, 제주도가 더 매력적 관광목적지로 성장하기 위해 필요한 개선사항을 파악하는데 관광목적지 관리자에게 유용한 함의를 제공한다. While the importance-performance analysis (IPA) is a practical tool for evaluating the competitiveness of tourist destinations, its application and interpretation have faced criticism. In line with this, the current study emphasizes the usefulness of the revised IPA (R-IPA) in evaluating the attributes of Jeju Island as a tourist destination. Consequently, the results suggest that the R-IPA can be a more effective tool than the traditional IPA approach in identifying quality attributes that can enhance the relative competitiveness of the destination. This study also provides several practical implications for Jeju Island, allowing destination managers and policy-makers to identify critical areas of improvement necessary for Jeju Island to become a more attractive tourist destination. Several theoretical implications are further suggested.

우리나라 의사 양성 체계로서 학제의 역사를 점검하고 새롭게 제기되고 있는 통합 6년제에 대한 다양한 시각을 확인하였다. 필자는 최근 제기되고 있는 통합 6년제는 새로운 학제가 추가되는 형태로 도입되는 것이 바람직하다고 생각한다. 미래의 좋은 의사를 양성하는 의과대학․의학전문대학원의 책무를 실현하기 위해 의과대학․의학전문대학원은 시대의 변화에 맞추어 교육과정을 끊임없이 평가하고 설계, 실행하여야 한다. 학제의 다양성은 교육과정의 수월성과 창의성을 용이하게 만들고, 다양한 인적자원을 개발하는데 기여할 것이라고 기대한다.

The Northeast Asia‘s economic hub includes Korea, China, and Japan. The conception of policy of becoming a hub country in Northeast Asia is also significant in that it intends to establish a network for mutual development with four dimensions-finance, logistics, tourism, and environment-connecting these three countries. Meanwhile, Hong Kong and Singapore are being classified into the economic bloc of Korea, China, and Japan as Hong Kong enters the Chinese economic bloc. It seems to take Mongolian and North Korean economic blocs a substantial amount of time to enter this economic hub. Those neighboring countries including China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Japan are in a national level establishing extensive plans to capture a leading position as a business nucleus country in Northeast Asia; with such an environmental change in these neighboring countries, Korea is, though late, driving a strategy to be an international business hub actively by designating Incheon as a free economic zone with a 'Plan to Become a Business Hub in Northeast Asia.' During this process, considered are functions and roles of Incheon International Airport, the real significance of development of Yongyu-do, Mu-ui-do, and Song-do Neo-city, the role of tourism development in this region in establishing free economic zones, and how to create a travel system essential for successful free economic zones in Incheon. This study was conducted, considering that no new study made an approach to the problem of the travel system in free economic zones on which few studies were performed. In particular, the fact that few studies compared and analyzed the success of free economic zones and the potential for tourism and travel in similar free economic zones also motivated this study to start. Therefore, the study presents a problem that there is no international comparison of potential for travel between free economic zones and the travel system in those zones directly connected to the success of Incheon Free Economic Zones and seeks recognition of its value.
MgO계 내화물이 함유된 팽창성 지반에서의 모형말뚝 거동 분석

This study explores the performance of pile foundations in highly expansive soil, incorporating magnesium oxide-based refractory materials. A controlled model chamber, housing a fixed pile, was utilized to induce ground expansion through fused magnesia (FM). The investigation focused on measuring the vertical displacement of FM-sand mixtures and the axial load on the pile in relation to depth and time. The study varied the amount of FM content (FMc) at 30%, 50%, and 70%. The upward movement exhibited an augmentation with increasing FMc, tapering off with depth as accumulation progressed toward the mixture surface. Compression and tensile forces were both evident along the pile for FMc at 30% and 50%, while only a tensile force was observed at an FMc of 70%. These results offer valuable insights for the analysis of pile behavior within FM-sand mixtures.
북한사회의 과시적 소비현상: 북한 이탈주민 구술사를 중심으로

이 글은 북한의 과시적 소비현상이 왜, 어떻게, 어떤 사회적 맥락 아래에서 이 루어지는가에 대해 검토한다. 북한은 과거 공고했던 봉건시대 계급구조 구조를 없애고 사 회주의 혁명에 이바지한 계층을 중심으로 수십 년 동안 계층화 과정을 구현해왔다. 그러 나 “골고루 잘 사는” 문화를 엄격하게 지향해왔기 때문에 정부는 필수식생활 부문의 낮은 물가를 유지하기 위해 노력하고, 검소한 소비문화를 장려하였다. 그러나 90년대 중반 경제 적 어려움을 지나며 ‘낮은 물가’에 대한 국가의 책임은 삭제되고 점차 개인이 능력에 맞춰 돈을 벌 수 있는 사회적 구조와 능력에 맞춰 소비할 수 있는 물질문화를 제공해주는 것으 로 국가의 역할을 이동시켰다. 인민은 변화된 세상에 얼마나 잘 적응하였는지 각자의 ‘능 력’을 보여주는 징표로 소비하는 것을 중요하게 생각하게 되었으며, 이러한 소비문화는 북 한의 소득불균형과 계층의 분화가 과거보다 더욱 확장되었음을 보여준다. 분명한 것은 새롭게 부상한 신흥 부유층 즉 돈주가 일부 발견된다고 하더라도 사회적 지위를 획득하는데 한계가 있으며, 기존의 권력 엘리트 계급이 사회적 지위를 기반에 두고 비교적 안정적인 소득을 얻으며 재생산되고 있기 때문에 계급불평등의 문제는 여전히 지속되고 있다는 점이다.
임상실습 강화를 위한 유비쿼터스 포트폴리오 시스템: 포트폴리오 설계, 개발, 적용 및 확산

This paper describes the design, development, and implementation of a ubiquitous portfolio (u-portfolio) system aimed at enhancing clinical clerkship education at Inje University College of Medicine from 2016 to 2020. This developmental research employed involved a literature review of 69 papers on electronic portfolios (1990–2013), and as well as a series of focus group interviews and surveys with key stakeholders during the iterative design, evaluation, and revision process. The literature analysis revealed three main purposes of e-portfolios (learning, assessment, and showcase) and nine key elements for a multi-purpose e-portfolio (e.g., quality of student reflection, postgraduate continuous learning, and timely and frequent feedback). The system evolved from paper-based portfolios to address the standardization of students’ clerkship experiences across five teaching hospitals, incorporating competency-based education and enabling efficient data management to promote student learning, assessment, and feedback. Key challenges in transitioning from paper to electronic portfolios included infrastructure issues, user adaptation, and assessment standardization. The resulting u-portfolio system, which allowed the seamless integration of mobile devices, emphasized five core functions: enhanced real-time feedback, transparent evaluation with rubrics, improved reflection quality, real-time assessment and tracking, and mapping between learning and competency achievements. Initially implemented in the internal medicine clerkship in 2016, the system was gradually expanded to all core clerkships by 2018. The success of this system led to its adoption by 19 medical schools through a consortium organized by the Korea Association of Medical Colleges, with 31 schools now collaborating to enhance clerkships through the u-portfolio system.
Direct ROS Scavenging Activity of CueP from Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium

Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium (S. Typhimurium) is an intracellular pathogen that has evolved to survive in the phagosome of macrophages. The periplasmic copper-binding protein CueP was initially known to confer copper resistance to S. Typhimurium. Crystal structure and biochemical studies on CueP revealed a putative copper binding site surrounded by the conserved cysteine and histidine residues. A recent study reported that CueP supplies copper ions to periplasmic Cu,Zn-superoxide dismutase (SodCII) at a low copper concentration and thus enables the sustained SodCII activity in the periplasm. In this study, we investigated the role of CueP in copper resistance at a high copper concentration. We observed that the survival of a cueP-deleted strain of Salmonella in macrophage phagosome was significantly reduced. Subsequent biochemical experiments revealed that CueP specif-ically mediates the reduction of copper ion using electrons released during the formation of the disulfide bond. We observed that the copper ion-mediated Fenton reaction in the presence of hydrogen peroxide was blocked by CueP. This study provides insight into how CueP confers copper resistance to S. Typhimurium in copper-rich environments such as the phagosome of macrophages.
