        통계적 접근을 통한 국제경쟁력 분석

        In today's international society, growth and prosperity of a company can be achieved by enhancing international competitiveness. Evaluation technique for international competitiveness between companies is an important part of the methodology for enhancing international competitiveness within a company. Since it is not reasonable to evaluate the entire entity of competitiveness by considering only few aspects of the company, techniques must be developed for competitiveness evaluation by simultaneously considering many aspects of the company. In this article, two such techniques are presented. One select representative competitiveness indices, and the other evaluates competitiveness by utilizing the ranking method.

      • 强靭鑄鐵의 熔接性에 關한 硏究

        The matrix of ductile cast iron are welded by pre-heating it at 300℃ in the room temperature. Through the mechanical, non-desbructive testing and analysis of the composition. the possibility if arc welding of ductile cast iron are studied as follows; 1. L electrode is the best among them in weldability, impact value and machinability. The next is LB electrode followed by S electrode. C electrode is last. However, the tensile strength showed in the following order: LB, S, L, C. 2. LB, S, L, C, all are available for the welding of cast iron. 3. The above experiment showed that L and LB are good in general. In addition LB is low in price, we therefore prospect that it will be widely used as the electrode for cast iron.

      • HPLC용 형광유도체화제인 1-(N,N-dimethylamino)pyrene-6-sulfonyl chloride를 이용한 GABA와 Glutamate의 HPLC분석에 관한 연구

        Abstract-Fluorescent derivatives of amino acid neurotransmitter such as GABA and glutamate were synthesized using 1-(N,N-dimethylamino)pyrene-6-sulfonyl chloride (DAPS-Cl) as a derivatizing reagent. GABA and glutamate were derivatized quantitatively into fluorescent compounds by reacting with DAPS-Cl. The optimal conditions for the derivatization of GABA and glutamate with DAPS-Cl were estimated such as pH, reaction temperature and time, and the amount of DAPS-Cl. The derivatives were separated on a reverse phase column with a gradient elution using the 30 mM phosphate buffer and acetonitrile, and monitored by fluorescence detector. Calibration curves for GABA and glutamate exhibited good linearty over 1∼5 pmol. GABA and glutamate in hippocampus of rat brain were determined. After postmortem of rat brain, GABA increasing and glutamate decreasing in hippocampus were prevented 3-mercaptopropionic acid and microwave application.

        FC-25계 회주철의 Boro-Nitriding 복합 표면처리에 따른 표면특성과 고온산화거동에 관한 연구

        Surface properties and oxidation behavior were studied for FC-25 gray cast iron (GCI), ion nitrided CCI (N CCI), powder boronized CCI (B GCI) and powder boronized N CCI (B-N GCI). A boride (Fe2B and FeB) layer with a tooth shape was formed by boronizing GCI at 650℃. The thickness and hardness of the layer were proportional to boronizing temperature and time. The hardness was decreased as the depth of the boronized layer increased. The activation energy for boride formation was about 74 kJ/mol. The thickness of the graphite layer formed by boronizing was increased by increasing temperature and time. A silicon layer insoluble to borides accumulated beneath the boride layer. The major phases were Fe4N, Fe3N and FeN in the nitride layer formed by ion nitriding. The thickness and hardness of the layer increased with increasing nitriding temperature and time under the Fe4N decomposition temperature of 680℃. The hardness was maximum at the surface and decreased with increasing nitrided depth on B-N GCI at 700℃, above the Fe4N decomposition temperature. Hardness of B-N GCI at the layer depth of 10 μm was 1000 Hv, which was lower than that of the B GCI at the same condition. Also the layer thickness was 50 gm; 10 μm deeper than that of B GCI. The reason was that the nitrogen gas given off by the decomposition made the layer porous and facilitated the diffusion of oxygen and other reactants. The samples were oxidated at 800℃ for 48hrs under atmospheric air. Oxidation rate was in decreasing order of N GCI, GCI, B GCI and B-N GCI. Oxidation rates were greatly influenced by the diffusion of nitrogen gas formed by Fe4N decomposition over the decomposition temperature of 680℃ and the oxidation barrier of the less corrosive boride layer.         FC-25계 회주철의 이온질화처리에 따른 표면특성과 고온산화거동에 관한 연구

        Surface properties and high temperature oxidation behavior were investigated for FC-25 Gray Cast Iron(GCI) and the ion nitrided GCI(N-GCI). The GCI was pre-cleaned to improve hardness to the optimum pre-sputtering parameters with an Ar/H₂ ratio of 1/2, working pressure of 3 torr, working temperature of 550℃ and working time of 1hour. The optimum nitriding conditions for the maximum hardness of 560575 Hv were an N₂/H₂ ratio of 3/1, working pressure of 3 torr, and working temperature of 575℃. The thickness of graphite in the GCI was increased by increasing the working temperature from 525℃ to 595℃ for the nitriding time of 6-18hrs. XRD patterns showed FeO and Fe₂O₃ peaks for both the oxidized N-GCI and GCI at temperatures of 600℃ and 800℃ under atmospheric environment for both 24 and 60hours. At 800℃, above the Fe4N decomposition temperature of 680℃, the oxidation rate of N-GCI was greater than that of the GCI. The most abundant nitride, Fe4N, was decomposed and the nitrogen gas given off by the decomposition made the protective film porous by degassing through the film. But at 600℃, below the decomposition temperature, the degree of oxidation of N-GCI was lower than that of the GCI because the nitride film worked as protective barrier for oxidation.         한국의 정신분열병 외래 환자의 직ㆍ간접비용

        연구목적 : 정신분열병 외래 환자의 직접 비용과 간접 비용을 추산해 보고, 의료 자원의 적절한 운용과 효과적인 배분을 위한 보건 정책의 기초자료로 사용하고자 한다. 방 법 : 정신분열병 진단을 받은 289명의 환자를 대상으로 6개월간 외래를 방문하면서 사용한 의료비와 시간을 조사하여 직접 비용을 추산하였고, 이 기간 동안 소실된 생산성을 간접 비용으로 환산하였다. 만성질환인 관상동맥 질환을 앓고 있는 환자 82명을 대조군으로 하여 비용을 비교하였다. 결 과 : 정신분열병 환자의 실업률은 72.1%였으며, 직장을 가지고 있는 경우에도 단순노무직의 비율이 64.5%로 매우 높았다. 정신분열병의 직접 비용은 평균 81.5만원으로 관상동맥 질환의 평균 71.5 만원보다 상대적으로 많이 추산되었으나 유의하지는 않았다. 간접 비용은 평균 645.6만원, 258.9 만원으로 정신분열병군이 2.5배 정도 높았다. 결 론 : 정신분열병은 다른 만성질환에 비하여 상대적으로 매우 고비용이 요구되는 질환이며, 보다 체계적인 비용의 추산을 통하여 양질의 정신 보건 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 토대가 마련되어야 할 것이다. Objectives : We have aimed to estimate the direct and indirect costs of treating out-patients with schizophrenia in Korea, to use this fundamental data for the effective management and proper distribution of the medical resource. Method : To estimate the direct cost, we surveyed the medical cost and time of two hundred and eighty-nine out-patients with schizophrenia for six months. And the lost productivity as many months was converted into the indirect cost. Those of eighty-two coronary heart disease patients were also estimated as a comparison group. Results : An unemployement rate of schizophrenic patients was 72.1 percent. Moreover the ratio of the laborer in the sample was, even if employed, 64.5 percent. The mean direct cost of schizophrenic patients was, about 815,000 won, higher than that of coronary heart disease, 715,000 won however it was not statistically significant. The former was also estimated 2.5 times more than the latter for the indirect cost, or 6,456,000 won versus 2,589,000 won. Conclusion : Schizophrenia is a relatively costly illness compared to other chronic illness, so the systematic estimation of the cost is necessary to provide mental health service of high quality.

      • NGS 데이터를 기반으로 한 PGPR의 기능에 대한 분자생물학적 접근

        There are numerous nutrients, including essential elements, in the soil. Nevertheless, most of the nutrients that exist in the soil are not suitable for the growth of plants. Therefore, in agriculture, chemical fertilizers have been widely used for the increasing of crop production from long time ago. As a result, soil nutrient has been over accumulated, environment was polluted and pathogens gained resistance. As a solution about these problems, plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) could be used for the promotion of plant growth instead of chemicals. Recently, numerous studies on microbial plant growth promoting (PGP) characters were conducted based on molecular biology like genome sequencing by next generation sequencing (NGS) technique. In this review, we discuss PGP characters about nitrogen fixation, solubilizing/mineralizing phosphorus, production of siderophore, degradation of ethylene and biosynthesis of IAA and cytokinin at gene level and predict the essential set of genes for the PGPR function.

        Massive pulmonary thromboembolism combined with transient thyrotoxicosis in an 18 year old girl

        Background: Pulmonary thromboembolism (PTE) is thought to usually stem from deep vein thrombosis (DVT). However, evidence of DVT could not be found in many cases. Furthermore, transient thyrotoxicosis is a rare but potentially life–threatening emergency involving a systemic hypercoagulable state. We report on an 18 year-old-girl with transient thyrotoxicosis with massive PTE without DVT. Case presentation: An 18-year-old girl was admitted to the hospital with syncope. Patient had no history of trauma, any known underlying disease or oral contraceptives use. Chest computed tomography (CT) showed massive PTE in both central pulmonary arteries and diffuse goiter. However, a low extremity Doppler sonogram did not detect DVT. To manage the PTE, we administered low molecular weight heparin. On the other hands, thyroid function test indicated a state of thyrotoxicosis. In addition, patient had a partial protein S deficiency but no other immunologic abnormality. Therefore, the patient was diagnosed with massive PTE, thyrotoxicosis, and partial protein S deficiency. Patient was discharged with oral warfarin and methimazole. A follow-up echocardiogram obtained 3 months after anticoagulation therapy demonstrated normal dimensions and systolic function. After thyrotoxicosis was treated with methimazole for a month, a euthyroid state was achieved and the goiter decreased to a normal size. The methimazole was gradually tapered off and stopped at 4 months. At a 6-month follow up visit, PTE and pulmonary hypertension had disappeared but the patient still had a partial protein S deficiency. We decided to stop all medication with careful monitoring. During a 4- year follow-up period after the episode, she was asymptomatic without any evidence of recurrent systemic thromboembolism or hyperthyroidism. Conclusions: Early recognition and appropriate treatment of PTE combined with transient thyrotoxicosis were vital to preventing other complications.
