      • 이야기 교육의 전개 양상에 관한 고찰 : 초등 국어과 교육과정의 통시적 고찰을 중심으로

        문학 작품으로서의 이야기가 초등학교에서 다루어지는 교육적 양상은 크게 세 가지 유형으로 구분이 가능하다. 첫째, 언어 능력을 기르는 이야기 교육이 존재한다. 둘째, 문학교육으로서의 이야기 교육이 이루어진다. 셋째, 언어 능력을 기르는 이야기 교육과 문학교육으로서의 이야기 교육이 동시 구현되는 복합적인 양상을 띠기도 한다. 이 글에서는 제1차 국어과 교육과정기부터 제7차 국어과 교육과정기까지 초등학교에서 이야기 교육이 이루어진 양상을 분석하였다. 그 결과 그 동안 초등학교에서 이야기 교육이 이루어진 양상은 크게 세 가지로 유형화된다. 첫째, 제1차∼제3차 국어과 교육과정기에는 언어 능력을 기르는 이야기 교육이 이루어졌다. 이 때 이야기는 언어 능력 신장을 위한 자료로 활용되었다. 둘째, 제4차∼제6차 국어과 교육과정기에의 이야기 교육은 문학교육으로 전개되었다. 셋째, 제7차 국어과 교육과정기에는 언어 능력을 기르는 이야기 교육과 문학교육으로서의 이야기 교육이 동시에 구현되는 복합적인 양상을 보인다. 위의 세 가지 유형으로 이야기 교육이 전개된 각각의 양상을 구체적으로 기술한 결과 다음과 같은 소론을 얻었다. 첫째, 이야기와 관련한 용어를 전문적으로 분화하여 사용해야 한다. 이는 이야기를 칭하는 하위 장르에 적합한 장르 용어를 사용함이 바람직하다는 뜻이다. 둘째, 국민공통교육과정의 목표를 설정하기보다는 이야기 교육이나 문학 교육을 위한 독자적인 목표를 설정해야 한다. 셋째, 문학 교육으로서의 이야기 교육 내용과 언어 능력 신장을 위한 이야기 교육 내용의 구분에 따른 교육 내용이 체계화가 필요하다.

        服飾의 意味機能에 관한 硏究

        The aim of thesis is to analyze dress phenomena, the semantic function and meaning of clothing were respectively on the basis of Semantics and Society by Geoffrey Leech and mentalistic semantics. To comprehend the actual clothing behaviour better, the pictures taken on the streets were used, including all kinds of the western-style and the traditional Korean costumes in Korea. The followings are the findings of the analysis. As in language, the semantic funtions of the clothing are the informational, the expressive, the directive, the aesthetic, and the phatic functions. They communicate operating simultaneously. The clothing is the mentalistic semantics.

      • 다문화국어교육을 지원하는 교수내용지식

        해마다 다문화가정이 증가하면서 다문화어린이의 초등학교 입학이 늘어나는 추세이다. 그런데 다문화학생 중에는 한국어와 한글 사용이 능숙하지 못한 경우가 많아 국어교육의 과제가 무거워지고 있다. 학교와 교사가 이들을 위한 다문화국어교육을 담당해야 하니 교사의 역할과 능력이 더욱 중요해졌다. 다문화학생의 국어교육이나 언어교육을 효과적으로 수행하기 위하여 교사는 관련된 교수내용지식(Pedagogical Contents of Knowledge)에 능통해야 한다. 그 지식은 다문화학생의 이중언어와 한국어 발달, 언어의 도구성과 언어 습득, 한국어의 독자성과 한글의 문자 체계, 언어교육을 위한 교수법과 전략 등의 범주로 구성된다. 각 범주의 교수내용지식(PCK)과 그 세부 내용이 초등학교 교사와 예비교사에게 지원될 때 다문화국어교육은 높은 성과를 거둘 수 있다. Nowadays, multicultural families in Korea are increasing gradually, including marriage-immigrant families, immigrant families, bicultural families, North Korean families and so on. So the number of multicultural student is drastically increasing in elementary school. They have difficulty communicating and learning in their class. Therefore some teachers should teach Korean and Hanguel to multicultural students. In order to educate multicultural students, the teachers must have good knowledge. It is the PCK(Pedagogical Contents of Knowledge) that is called by educational experts. I have organized the PCK to help the teachers teaching Korean and Hanguel to multicultural students efficiently. If the teachers know these knowledge, they can teach multicultural students who have trouble with communicating and learning in their class better than before. The below table shows my PCK.

      • 관해유도 항암요법을 받는 백혈병 환자에서 진균 감염증의 예방 : 무작위 배정법과 이중 눈가림법에 의한 Fluconazole과 Nystain의 효과에 관한 다기관 공동연구 A Randomized, Double-blind, Multicenter Trial to Compare Fluconazole with Nystatin

        Fluconazole의 진균 감염증 예방 효과와 안전성에 관하여 3개 대학병원에서 관해유도화학요법을 받는 급성 백혈병환자를 대상으로 무작위 배정법과 너도나도 누가림법에 의하여 연구하였다. 모두 62명의 환자에게 fluconazole(100㎎ bid) 또는 nystatin(1,000,000IU/day)을 무작위로 투여하였다. 투약은 관해유도화학요법과 같은 날짜에 시작하여 호중구수가 1,000㎣이상으로 회복되거나 진균 감염증이 확인되거나 의심되어 Amphotericin-B를 시작하거나, 약과 관련된 부작용이 나타날 때까지 계속하였다. 진균 colonization은 fluconazole군에서 감소하였으나 nystqatin군에서는 증가하였다, 표재성 진균감염증으로 nystatin군에서 C. albicans 진균혈증 1례와 C.parasilosis 진균혈중 1례가 발생하였다. 경험적 항진균요법으로 Amphotericin-B를 투여한 경우는 fluconazolerns 34명중 7례(21%), nystatinrns 28명중 10례(36%)였다(p<0.05). Fluconazole군과 nystatin군 사이에 부작용이나 사망률에 차이는 없었다. 결론적으로, fluconazole은 관해유도화학요법을 받는 급성 백혈병환자에서 진균의 colonization을 줄이는데 효과적이고 안전한 항진균제이다. We made a randomized, double-blind, multicenter trial to compare the efficacy and safety of fluconazole with nystatin for prevention of fungal infections in patients with acute leukemia. Sixty-two adult undergoing remission induction chemotherapy for cute leukemia were enrolled. Patients were randomly assigned to receive either fluconazole (100㎎ bid) or nystatin(1,000,000IU×6/day) with corresponding placebo. The study drug was started in initiation of chemotherapy and continued until recovery of neutrophil counts(>1,000/㎣), development of proven or suspected invasive fungal infection, or the occurrence of drug-related toxicity. Fungal colonization decreased in fluconazole(F) group, however increased in nystain(n) group. Superficial fungal infection occurred in 1 of 34 F group, whereas invasive fungal infection developed in 3 of 28 N group. Empirical amphotericin-B therapy was given in 7 of 34(21%) F group and 10 of 28(36%) N group(p>0.05). The incidence of drug-related side effects and overall moratlity were similar in both study groups.

        대학생 복식 현상에 나타난 상징성 연구

        The purpose of this study was to analyze the classification and meaning of symbols, of the clothes of the college students by sex-roll theory and identity theory. The clothes analyzed in this study were collected by photographs which were taken in the campus (240 out of 1,000 pictures) of the several colleges and universities in Seoul form fall in 1993 to summer in 1994. The results were as follows: 1. Analysis as a symbol of sexuality. The phenomenon of the visual inconsistency and consistency of sexual image in dress were showed simultaneously. The clothes of male students were generally becoming feminine style in materials and colors of clothes. These suggested that sex-roll theory be applied to their clothes. 2. Analysis as symbols of identification or individuality. The identification of shoes, bags, accessories, and hair styles were prominent than that of clothes. When it was analyzed as a symbol of individuality, the college students seemed to act as fashion leaders, who accepted new fashions and tried them on first. Theses suggested that Erikson's theory on identity be applied to their clothes. 3. Analysis as a symbol of emblem. The dissimilarities of between the college students and other groups in the same generation were bright and casual attire with files, books, and sack. 4. Analysis as a symbol of campus ceremony. The clothes of college students on campus ceremonies were more casual and flexible than those of other groups in the same generation. It was known that the symbols showed above were reflected on their clothes as "one's expressions" which are sex-roll, identity, and characteristics of college students.

        Beneficial effects of fermented black ginseng and its ginsenoside 20(S)-Rg3 against cisplatin-induced nephrotoxicity in LLC-PK1 cells

        Background: Nephrotoxicity is a common side effect of medications. Panax ginseng is one of the best-known herbal medicines, and its individual constituents enhance renal function. Identification of its efficacy and mechanisms of action against drug-induced nephrotoxicity, as well as the specific constituents mediating this effect, have recently emerged as an interesting research area focusing on the kidney protective efficacy of P. ginseng. Methods: The present study investigated the kidney protective effect of fermented black ginseng (FBG) and its active component ginsenoside 20(S)-Rg3 against cisplatin (chemotherapy drug)-induced damage in pig kidney (LLC-PK1) cells. It focused on assessing the role of mitogen-activated protein kinases as important mechanistic elements in kidney protection. Results: The reduced cell viability induced by cisplatin was significantly recovered with FBG extract and ginsenoside 20(S)-Rg3 dose-dependently. The cisplatin-induced elevated protein levels of phosphorylated c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK), p53, and cleaved caspase-3 were decreased after cotreatment with FBG extract or ginsenoside 20(S)-Rg3. The elevated percentage of apoptotic LLC-PK1 cells induced by cisplatin treatment was significantly abrogated by cotreatment with FBG and the ginsenoside 20(S)-Rg3. Conclusion: FBG and its major ginsenoside 20(S)-Rg3, ameliorated cisplatin-induced nephrotoxicity in LLC-PK1 cells by blocking the JNKep53ecaspase-3 signaling cascade.

        First Report of Myrothecium roridum Causing Leaf and Stem Rot Disease on Peperomia quadrangularis in Korea

        In 2010, symptoms of leaf and stem rot were observed on potted plants (Peperomia quadrangularis) in a greenhouse in Yongin, Korea. The causative pathogen was identified as Myrothecium roridum based on morphological data, internal transcribed spacer sequence analysis, and pathogenicity test. To our knowledge, this is the first report of M. roridum causing leaf and stem rot disease on P. quadrangularis in Korea and elsewhere worldwide.

      • Imatinib Mesylate Reduces Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress and Induces Remission of Diabetes in <i>db/db</i> Mice

        <P><B>OBJECTIVE—</B>Imatinib has been reported to induce regression of type 2 diabetes in chronic leukemia patients. However, the mechanism of diabetes amelioration by imatinib is unknown, and it is uncertain whether imatinib has effects on type 2 diabetes itself without other confounding diseases like leukemia. We studied the effect of imatinib on diabetes in <I>db/db</I> mice and investigated possible mechanism's underlying improved glycemic control by imatinib.</P><P><B>RESEARCH DESIGN AND METHODS—</B>Glucose tolerance and insulin tolerance tests were done after daily intraperitoneal injection of 25 mg/kg imatinib into <I>db/db</I> and C57BL/6 mice for 4 weeks. Insulin signaling and endoplasmic reticulum stress responses were studied by Western blotting. β-Cell mass and apoptotic β-cell number were determined by combined terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase–mediated dUTP nick-end labeling (TUNEL) staining and insulin immunohistochemistry. The in vitro effect of imatinib was studied using HepG2 cells.</P><P><B>RESULTS—</B>Imatinib induced remission of diabetes in <I>db/db</I> mice and amelioration of insulin resistance. Expression of endoplasmic reticulum stress markers in the liver and adipose tissues of <I>db/db</I> mice, such as phospho-PERK, phospho-eIF2α, TRB3, CHOP, and phospho–c-Jun NH<SUB>2</SUB>-terminal kinase, was reduced by imatinib. Insulin receptor substrate-1 tyrosine phosphorylation and Akt phosphorylation after insulin administration were improved by imatinib. Serum aminotransferase levels and hepatic triglyceride contents were decreased by imatinib. Pancreatic β-cell mass was increased by imatinib, accompanied by decreased TUNEL<SUP>+</SUP> β-cell and increased BrdU<SUP>+</SUP> β-cell numbers. Imatinib attenuated endoplasmic reticulum stress in hepatoma cells in vitro.</P><P><B>CONCLUSIONS—</B>Imatinib ameliorated endoplasmic reticulum stress and induced remission of diabetes in <I>db/db</I> mice. Imatinib or related compounds could be used as therapeutic agents against type 2 diabetes and metabolic syndrome.</P>

        기획 주제 : 디지털 시대의 고전 읽기 ; 다매체 시대의 어린이 고전과 학교 고전교육

        어린이 고전작품은 많은 변화를 보이고 있다. 가장 큰 변화는 과거에 주로 중고등 학생이나 성인이 읽던 고전작품이 어린이 독자를 위한 책으로 출간되었다는 점이다. 이들 독서물은 삽화, 그림, 만화 등의 매체 언어로 구성되었다. 아예 만화도서로 된 고전작품도 출판되었다. d이런 고전 독서물을 어린이가 읽는다. 이와 같은 경향에 따라 현대의 어린이는 고전작품의 독자로서 뚜렷한 위상을 지닌다. 이들의 고전 독서 경향도 독자적인 특징을 보인다. 가장 두드러진 특징은 이들이 다양한 언어 기호를 종합하면서 고전작품을 읽는다는 점이다. 이런 특징은 고전작품이 지닌 낮은‘정세도’를 높이고, 독자의 ‘참가’와 ‘보완’의 부담 및 해독과 감상에 필요한‘참여도’부담을 줄여 준다는 점에서 의미를 지닌다. 그런데 학교의 고전교육은 많은 문제와 과제를 안고 있는 실정이다. 고전교육을 위한 교육과정의 기획이 없고, 교과서에 수록된 고전작품은 균형적이지 못하며, 서사작품이나 설화 중심으로 편중되어 있다. 또 매체의 발달에 따른 변화를 반영한 교육내용의 선정이나 고전 수업을 위한 독자적인 교수·학습 방법 모색도 미흡하다. 이와 같은 문제를 해결하는 현실적인 방법은 교수·학습 방법의 개선이다. ICT 수업 방법이나 전자교과서를 활용하는 고전 수업은 초등학생에게 낯선 어휘나 배경 지식의 부족이 주는 어려움을 쉽게 극복하게 해 준다. 또 작품 감상에 필요한 다양한 자료를 제공할 수 있어 고전교육을 위한 교수·학습 방법으로서 의미를 지닌다. The amount of children`s classical books have been very much increased than the past. Elementary school students usually read not only children`s literature but also adult`s literature like poems, novels, romances and folklore etc. In times past, these works have read middle and high school students and adults. But nowadays, children read various classical books. On the educational point, we specially have to attent the distinguished features in children`s classical books. The books are composed of various linguistic signs that are illustrations, drawings, paintings, caricatures, cartoons, comic strips and photos. Those various linguistic signs help children to understand easily the classical works. Therefore, we must educate students to appreciate classical literature and know about it in elementary school. First of all, we have to establish particular goals prepare several contents in the curriculum. The next thing that we have to do is to try containing various classical literature in the textbook. The most important thing among those is teaching classical literature to the students in the class. I suggest that teachers try to use the instructional strategies, models like ICT(Information & Communication Technology), WBI(Web-Based Instruction). Also I propose that teachers and students attempt to use the digital textbook that contained useful materials to understand classical texts in the class. These instructional methods will be able to help students appreciate classical literature, so I am sure that these instructional methods will improve the quality of lessons.
