        용접공들의 면역능에 관한 연구

        The authors examined human immunity indicators such as CD4, CD8, Natural Killer(NK) cell, IgG, IgA, and IgM, and heavy metals such as Pb, Cr, Cd to evaluate the health hazard of welders. We selected total 126 male subjects, 60 welders who had more than 5 year working history as an exposure group, and 66 office workers and medical college students as a control group. This immunity evaluation approach is the first newly designed study that has never been tried in past studies on welder's heath evaluation. And the results were as follows. 1. Total lymphocyte count of peripheral blood was significantly higher in welder group, 2,615±650 ea/㎕ compared with 2,368±681 ea/㎕ in control group(p>0.05). 2. The proportion of CD4, CD8, NK cell in welder group was 37.5±9.4%, 24.0±8.8%, and 21.0±9.5%, respectively, and 35.5±6.5%, 25.0±6.9%, and 19.6±8.8% in control group. CD4 and NK cell were slightly higher, and CD8 was slightly lower in welder group. but there was no statistical significance between two groups(p≥0.05). 3. IgG, IgA, and IgM in welder group were 15.9㎎/㎗, 2.7㎎/㎗ and 1.5㎎/㎗, respectively, and 15.6㎎/㎗, 2.9㎎/㎗ and 1.7㎎/㎗ in control group. There was no statistical significance between two groups(p≥0.05). 4. Blood lead, cadmium and chromium concentrations were 4.2±1.8㎍/㎗, 0.4±0.38㎍/㎗, 1.2±0.6㎍/㎗ in welder group and 3.2±1.7㎍/㎗, 0.44±0.29㎍/㎗, 1.1±0.6㎍/㎗ in control group, respectively, and these value were within normal ranges.

        Background : Patients with chronic renal fialure have a substantially elevated risk of death from cardiovascular diseases than do the general population. the patients with chronic renal failure are at significantly increased freqeuncy of hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and diabetes mellitus which are known to the risk factors of the coronary artery diseases, and the prevalence of the coronary artery diseases in chronic renal failure patients is highly associated with the hemodynamic disorder and metabolic abnormalities. therefore we expected that the coronary angiographic findings in patients with chronic renal failure should be different from the general population (control groups) and investigated the risk factors contributing to coronary artery diseases. Method : we have retrospectively compared the coronary angiographic findings of 44 patients with chronic renal failure on hemodialysis with that of 88 patients in the general population and investigated the factors contributing to the development and acceleration of coronary artery diseases in patients with chronic renal failure Result : Hypertension and diabetes mellitus which is risk factors for coronary artery disease is significantly increased in patients with chronic renal failure, in coronary angiographic finding the severity of the lesion is worse. the incidence of PCI or CABG of patients with chronic renal failure is more than that of control group but statistically no difference between patients with chronic renal failure and control group. the sex, the duration of disease, the duration of dialysis, serum creatinine in patients with chronic renal failure have no correlation to the prevalence of coronary artery disease and severity of lesion. hyperglycemic patients with chronic renal failure have high incidence of coronary artery disease and are worse in the severity of lesion Conclusions : There is significantly increased the pevalence and severity of involving multiple coronary artery diseses in hyperglycemic patients with CRF.

      • 랫트의 鉛中毒에 대한 Butyl hydroxyanisole(BHA)의 影響에 관한 硏究

        The present study was undertaken to examine the effect of butylhydroxyanisole (BHA) on the lead poisoning in Wister female rats. All experimental rats except normal group were fed with diets formulated by adding BHA in a range of 0.1% to 3.2% and aqueous solution of 1% lead acetate ad libitum through the experimental period. The results obtained are summarized as follows: 1) Lead sedimintation in kidney tissue was decreased with increasing experimintal periok and BHA level of lead plus BHA-treated groups in comparison with that of lead-treated control group. 2) The weights of lung, spleen and left/right(L/R) kidney were significantly decreased in comparison with those of lead-treated control group after 2 weeks of experimintal period, but no difference was shown with those of normal group. 3) The weights of lung, spleen and L/R kidney were increased in liad-treated control group as compared with normal troup after 2 weeks of dxperimental period, but no difference was shown with increasing experimintal period. 4) Water intake was remarkably decreased in lead-treated control group as compared with normal group, but water intake by increasing BAH level of lead plus BHA-treated groups showed no significant difference from toat of normal group. 5) These results suggest that BHA is effective for reducing the toxic effect of lead in rats.

        좌새골하정맥을 통하여 중심정맥도관 삽입 3 일 후에 발생한 상대정맥천공과 우흉수 : 증례 보고 A case report

        A 67-year-old male patient had coronary artery bypass graft. Before the induction of general anesthesia, 16 gauge central venous catheter was inserted via left subclavian vein. Initial chest anteroposterior (AP) radiograph showed adequate position, and the central venous pressure measurement through it was satisfactory. This patient's progress was satisfactory, and he was extubated on the second postoperative day. Daily chest AP radiograph had been unremarkable until the third postoperative day, when a right-sided pleural effusion was seen. A day later, the patient complained severe chest pain and dyspnea. We suspected perforation of superior vena cava wall by tip of central venous catheter on the chest computerized tomograph (CT). The injection of radiopaque dye through the central venous catheter confirmed spillage into the mediastinum on the chest CT. Right chest tube was inserted. The patient's condition dramatically improved after chest tube insertion. (Korean J Anesthesiol 2002; 43: 525~530)

      • 뇌졸중 환자의 경상운동이 상지기능에 미치는 영향

        경상운동은 다른 쪽의 신체에서 일어나는 의도된 움직임의 경상 반전으로 발생하는 한 쪽 신체의 무의식적인 운동이다. 본 연구는 뇌졸중으로 인한 편마비 환자에게서 나타나는 경상운동이 상지기능에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 65명의 뇌졸중 환자를 대상으로 연구한 결과, 경상운동이 나타나지 않은 환자군의 상지기능은 경상운동이 나타난 환자군의 상지기능과 통계학적으로 유의한 차이를 보였으며, 경상운동이 나타난 환자군에 비해 상지기능이 좋은 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 경상운동이 나타나지 않은 환자군과 경상운동이 경한 환자군, 경상운동이 중한 환자군의 상지기능을 비교한 결과 경사운동이 적게 나타날수록 상지기능이 좋은 것으로 나타났다. 연구의 결과를 종합하여 볼 때, 뇌졸중으로 인한 편마비 환자에게서 나타나는 경상운동은 상지기능을 감소시키는 요인 될 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. Mirror movements are involuntary movements in one side of the body that occur as mirror reversals of the intended movement on the other side of the body. The subjects of the study were 65 stroke patients who were admitted from May, 2004 to April, 2005 in the Y University medical center. This study used the Manual Function Test(MFT) and the Purdue pegboard test to evaluate upper extremity‘s motor function. The severity of mirror movements were assessed according to the criteria of Woods and Teuber. The results of the study was as follow; First, The upper extremity‘s motor function in hemiparetic patients without mirror movements was significantly different in hemiparetic patients with mirror movements(p< .05). Second, The upper extremity's motor function in hemiparetic patients with mild mirror movements was significantly different in hemiparetic patients with severe mirror movements(p< .05).       • A7003 합금의 환경친화적 압출공정을 위한 Mg조성 및 공정비교 연구

        최근 수송기계 경량화 추세에 부응하여 door impact beam, seat side rail 및 hood support와 같은 자동차 부품등에 Al-Mg-Zn계 중경질 A7003 합금소재의 적용이 검토되고 있는 실정이다. 그러나 이들 합금소재의 적용을 위해서는 제품의 용도와 특성을 만족함과 동시에 압출성이 높은 합금소재의 개발이 선행되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 A7003 합금소재의 압출성을 향상시키기 위하여 합금원소 첨가량이 미세조직, 압출성 및 기계적 특성에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. Mg조성 제어에 의해 기계적 강도의 저하없이 A7003 합금의 압출성을 향상시킬 수 있었다. 또한 MLCA 기법을 적용하여 A7003 합금중의 Mg 첨가량 및 빌렛가열공정 변화에 따른 에너지 소비량 및 환경오염부하물질 배출량을 산정하였다. A7003 합금중 Mg의 첨가량을 제어하여도 압출재 생산에 소요되는 에너지의 소비량은 거의 같음을 확인하였으며 CO₂와 같은 대기오염물질을 저감시키기 위해서는 유도가열에 의한 빌렛가열공정의 적용이 가장 효과적임을 알 수 있었다. A7003 alloy has characteristics of their excellent weldability, high corrosion resistance and superior plastic working however the broadening of application for the alloy has been hampered by the lower extrudability associated by Mg content. For improvement of extrudability and enhanced recovery efficiency during Al scrap recycling, it has been generally practiced to reduce Mg content in A7003 alloy. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate the influence of Mg content on mechanical strength and extrudability of A7003 alloy. For efficient material processing which has small amounts, material life cycle assessment(MLCA) is evaluated. The quantitative analysis of energy requirements and CO₂ emission for production of A7003 extruded bar are estimated with different Mg content and billet pre-heating process (heating source by light oil or LPG). In particular, the estimation of energy requirements was performed within shipping and gating range (except the mining and extraction stages) to investigate the influence of the variables on energy requirements and CO₂ emission in detail. As Mg content increased, the flow stress and the extrusion pressure for A7003 alloy increased. It has been thought that an increment in extrusion pressure with increasing Mg content is caused by the solid solution hardening of Mg atoms in the matrix and increment in volume fraction of intermetallic compound, Mg2Si. The extrudability and the tensile strength are equal to, or above that of conventional A7003 alloy even the content of Mg varied from 1.1wt.% to 0.5wt.%.alloy. This means that minimizing the content of Mg in A7003 alloy can enhance recovery efficiency during Al scrap recycling. It can be quoted that rather than Mg content energy source for billet heating is a prime factor to determine the atmospheric CO₂ emission.

      • 뇌경막내에 위치한 수막성 골종 증례보고

        This case report deals with a 75-year-old female. The patient was admitted for headache due to passenger traffic accident. Plain radiographs of the skull showed the finding of dense calcified lesion in the right parietal bone. In the Brain CT scan, this lesion showed uniformly hyperdense and non-enhancing mass. The clinical examination showed no gross abnormalities. In the operation field, this lesion attached to the inner surface of the dura by the dense fibrous band and protruded into the cerebral cortex. One fragment was about 1cm×1.4cm×1.6cm and the other about 3mm×2mm×3mm. Histologic examination of the surgical specimen(H/E stain) showed a benign osteoma.

      • 유용방향법에 의한 고유진동수 최적화

        In this paper feasible direction method which is one of the optimization method is adopted to natural frequency optimization. In order to find the optimum design of structures that have characteristic natural frequency range, a numerical optimization method to solving eigenvalue problems is a widely used approach. However most cases, it is difficult to decide the accurate thickness and shape of structures that have allowable natural frequency in design constraints. Parallel analysis algorithm involving the feasible direction optimization method and Rayleight-Ritz eigenvalue solving method is developed. The method is implemented by using finite element method. It calculated the optimal thickness and the thickness ratio of each element of 2-D plane element through the parallel algorithm method which satisfy the design constraint of natural frequency.
