A 27-year-old man underwent excision of a mediastinal mass using video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) performed in the right lateral position. Postoperatively, he complained of pain in the left upper arm and chest wall, limitation of the left shoulder joint,allodynia, hyperalgesia, spontaneous pain in left finger, edema,hypohidrosis, and change of skin color of the left hand. We diagnosed the patient with complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS)by using the proposed modified International Association of the Study of Pain (IASP) research diagnostic criteria, and initiated treatment through medication and interventional management. After 3 months of treatment, the pain intensity reduced to below 2 cm on the VAS. In this study, we describe a case of postoperative CRPS, which is believed to have been caused by excessive stretching of the brachial plexus. Careful positioning of patients on the operating table with proper padding will reduce injuries to the peripheral nerves.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation between the homebody population and self-esteem, interpersonal relations, and loneliness. Methods: In this investigation, quantitative research method was used. Using a descriptive correlation study, an online questionnaire was distributed online to university students in the Seoul and KyongKi areas for data collection. A total of 209 people were recruited during data collection performed with structured questions, both open and closed-ended, which was conducted from August 31 to November 22, 2018. Collected data was analyzed with SPSS version 21.0. Results: First, there is a significant positive correlation between the homebodies and the self-esteem variable. Second, there is an insignificant correlation between the homebodies and both, interpersonal relations and loneliness variables. Third, there is a significant correlation between the hikikomori and all three variables. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, it was aimed to find out the necessity of distinct nursing interventions according to the two different groups, homebodies and hikikomori. Because the tendency both groups were showed differently, it is essential for future studies to investigate and instruct appropriate nursing care for them.

Negative-temperature coefficient (NTC) thermistors based on nickel manganite spinel ($NiMn_2O_4$) are widely used for many applications, such as sensors and temperature compensators, due to their good thermistor characteristics and stabilities. However, to achieve thermistors with a high NTC B constant, which is an important figure of merit pertaining to the degree of temperature sensitivity, the activation energy should be high such that high resistivity at ambient temperatures results. To obtain a high B constant and low resistivity, Al and Si modified spinel structured $Ni_{0.6}Si_{0.2}Al_{0.6}Mn_{1.6}O_4$ hybrid thick films with the conducting metal oxide of $LaNiO_3$ were fabricated on a glass substrate by aerosol deposition at room temperature (RT). The NTC-$LaNiO_3$ hybrid thick films showed resistivity as low as < $100k{\Omega}\;cm$ at $90^{\circ}C$, which is one or two orders of magnitude lower than that of the monolithic NTC films, while retaining a high B constant of $NiMn_2O_4$ of over 5500 K when 20 wt% $LaNiO_3$ was added without a post-thermal treatment. These phenomena are explained by the percolation threshold mechanism.
Proxy Mobile IPv6를 위한 개선된 신속한 핸드오버 방안

망 기반의 이동성 관리 기법인 Proxy Mobile IPv6 (PMIPv6) 는 이동단말 대신 네트워크 측면에서 이동성을 지원하기 때문에, 이동단말은 어떠한 이동성 지원 관련 시그널링에도 관여하지 않는다. 비록, PMIPv6가 IETF NetLMM WG에서 표준화가 진행되고 있으나, PMIPv6는 핸드오버 동안에 긴 지연시간과 on-the-fly packet 손실 문제를 여전히 가지고 있다. 따라서, 본 논문은 PMIPv6를 위한 개선된 신속한 핸드오버 방안을 제안한다. 제안한 방안은 핸드오버 지연시간을 줄이기 위해 수정한 IPv6의 Neighbor Discovery 메시지를 사용하고, 핸드오버 동안에 on-the-fly packet 손실을 줄이기 위해 Mobile Access Gateway (MAG)에 패킷 버퍼링을 사용한다. 또한, Local Mobility Access (LMA)에 추가적인 패킷 버퍼링을 사용해 패킷 순서 문제를 해결한다. 제안한 방안의 성능을 분석적 모델과 시뮬레이션를 통해 비교 분석한다. 수치적 분석을 통해 제안방안이 기존 방안에 비해 짧은 핸드오버 지연시간을 가질 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었으며, 시뮬레이션 결과를 통해 제안방안이 on-the-fly packet 손실을 피하고 패킷 순서를 보장할 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. In a network-based approach such as Proxy Mobile IPv6 (PMIPv6), the serving network controls the mobility management on behalf of a Mobile Node (MN), thereby eliminating a MN from any mobility-related signaling. Although PMIPv6 is being standardized by the IETF NetLMM WG, PMIPv6 still suffers from a lengthy handover latency and the on-the-fly packet loss during a handover. Therefore, this paper presents an enhanced fast handover scheme for PMIPv6. The proposed handover scheme uses the Neighbor Discovery message of IPv6 to reduce the handover latency and packet buffering at the Mobile Access Gateway (MAG) to avoid the on-the-fly packet loss during a handover. In addition, it uses an additional packet buffering at the Local Mobility Anchor (LMA) to solve the packet ordering problem. We evaluate the performance of the proposed handover scheme using both analytical model and simulation. The numerical analysis shows that the proposed scheme has a relatively shorter handover latency. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed scheme could avoid the on-the-fly packet loss and ensure the packet sequence.

Asparagus oligoclonos is one of the endemic halophytes used folk medicine in Korea. We isolated the main compound rutin from methanol extracts of A. oligoclonos based on nuclear magnetic resonance and TOF ESI-MS data. We have investigated the quantitative analysis method of main compound using HPLC and the results exhibit that rutin content of A.oligoclonos were 1.816%. To explore anti-oxidant from A. oligoclonos ethanol extracts (AOE), we investigated the antioxidant effects of AOE on H2O2-induced oxidative stress in RAW 264.7 cell. AOE were reduced H2O2-induced oxidative stress via enhancement of cell viability, and AOE significantly decreased ROS production depending on concentration. Next, to screen for anti-inflammatory activity of AOE, we investigated the inhibitory effects of AOE in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated RAW 264.7 macrophages. AOE had no effect on cell viability at a concentration of 500 μg/mL. Nitric oxide (NO) production inhibited in a dose-dependent manner. These results suggest that AOE may be a useful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent.
대동맥궁 단절증 환아의 비심장수술 시 마취관리 —증례보고—

Interrupted aortic arch (IAA) is a rare congenital cardiovascular anomaly in which there is no direct continuity between the aortic arch and the descending aorta. A patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) usually feeds the descending aorta. But, as ductus constricts, IAA is lethal in nearly 100% of the cases, if untreated. The cause of death is a combination of greatly increased left to right shunt with increased pulmonary blood flow, which results in heart failure, pulmonary edema, and sequelae of the reduced perfusion of all structures distal to the interruption. During the noncardiac surgery in such patients, adequate managements with prostaglandin infusion, careful manipulation of the pulmonary-systemic blood flow ratio, inotropic support, and aggressive treatment of acidosis should be provided to ensure optimal outcomes of subsequent surgical reconstruction. We present the anesthetic experience of abdominal surgery in a neonate with a type A IAA combined with PDA and ventricular septal defect.
