여가행동과 여가몰입이 모험관광 참여자의 만족도에 미치는 영향 : 여가와 생활만족도를 중심으로 = (The) influence of leisure activity and commitment on the satisfaction for adventure tourism participants : focused on satisfaction of leisure and life

국문 초록 (Abstract)

여가가 갖는 다양한 편익은 실무적인 차원뿐만 아니라 학술적인 차원에서도 다양한 관심을 갖고 접근이 수행되어 왔다. 여가의 효과와 관련된 기존의 연구에서는 여가활동 참여로 개인적인 차원에서는 여가만족과 함께 여가발생 지역에서는 경제적, 사회적, 문화적 파급효과에 크다는 점을 강조하였다. 그러나, 모험관광의 효과에 대한 구조적인 차원의 효과를 검증하는 부분에서는 한계성을 갖고 있었다. 따라서 본 연구는 기존의 여가와 관련된 연구에 한정된 부분을 개선하고, 새로운 시각으로 모험관광의 효과를 검증하는 부분에 관심을 갖고 연구를 진행하였다.
특히, 본 연구에서는 모험관광의 몰입의 매개효과를 이해함으로써 모험관광이 여가만족을 주게 되고, 모험관광 참가자의 여가만족은 생활만족으로 연결될 수 있다는 관점에서 연구를 진행하였다.
분석결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 여가몰입은 여가행동의 기간이 길수록 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 것은 여가몰입을 높이기 위해서는 월여가회수는 1일여가시간보다 꾸준한 여가행동이 여가몰입을 높이는 것이라 할 수 있다.
둘째, 월여가회수가 여가만족에 미치는 영향을 검증한 결과에서 여가만족은 여가행동 자체가 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것이 아니라 여가몰입을 통하여 높게 나타는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 것은 여가만족을 높이기 위해서는 꾸준한 여가행동이 여가몰입을 높이고 이것이 여가만족을 높이는 것이라 할 수 있다.
셋째, 여가몰입이 생활만족에 미치는 영향을 검증한 결과에서 생활만족도를 증가시키기 위해서는 여가행동의 여가경력이 여가몰입을 높이고 여가몰입이 여가만족을 증가시킴으로서 생활만족도가 높아짐을 의미한다.
선행연구에서 생활체육 활동에 보다 많이 참가할수록 여가행동과 여가몰입이 높을수록 여가만족과 생활만족이 높게 나타나는 연구결과와 같이 모험관광객을 대상으로 한 본 연구에서도 같은 결과를 보여주고 있다. 따라서, 모험관광을 통하여 여가만족도를 보다 많이 경험하는 참여자는 생활만족과 연계된다고 할 수 있다.
학술적인 측면에서의 시사점은 여가행동에 대한 개념적 접근을 수행하였다. 모험관광 행동의 개념적 접근을 위해 관련 연구 분야의 이론적 근간을 마련할 수 있었다. 특히, 여가학 및 관광학 분야에서 적용되어 오던 개념들을 모험관광과 관련된 연구를 바탕으로 재해석함으로써 모험관광 측면에서 몰입의 개념과 영역에 접근이 가능하였다.
실무적인 측면에서의 시사점은 모험관광지의 개발과 활용측면에서 모험관광을 전략적으로 활용할 수 있는 기회를 제공할 것이다. 모험관광 기획자는 기획 및 운영단계에서 참여자들의 여가행동을 이해함으로써 모험관광 활동의 특성을 부각시키고, 경쟁력을 강화할 수 있을 것이다.
본 연구에서는 여가몰입, 여가만족도, 생활만족도 사이의 유의한 정적 인과관계를 보이는 것으로 나타났으나, 향후 연구방향에 대한 몇가지 제언을 제시한다.
첫째, 향후 연구에서는 여가행동, 여가몰입, 여가만족, 생활만족이외에도 여가제약, 생애주기, 여가유능간과 같은 변수들을 추가하여 종합적으로 연구모형을 검증할 필요가 있다.
둘째, 본 연구문제에서 규명한 변수들간의 관계에 대한 보다 심층적인 연구을 위해서는 이후의 연구에서는 다양한 방법이 진행되어야 할 것이다.
셋째, 측정 시기의 다양화가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 모험관광 활동 후 실시됨으로써 여름철의 모험관광에 한정되어 한계를 보였다. 따라서 후속연구에서는 다양한 모험관광의 특성을 파악할 수 있도록 계절별 효과 검증이 필요할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of the study is to identify the influence of leisure activity and leisure commitment on the satisfaction for Adventure Tourism Participants. The empirical research has been undertaken toward the participants of "Living Excercise 2007" in order to verify the four major hypothesis.
The major research findings are as follows. First, it was turned out that the level of leisure commitment went up as the length of leisure activity increased. Therefore, this implies that the sustainable leisure activity certainly affects the leisure commitment positively.
Second, leisure activity didn't influence the leisure satisfaction directly, but the level of satisfaction has highly correlated with the leisure commitment.
Third, leisure commitment also influenced the living satisfaction through the leisure career. Highly experienced leisure career naturally leads to the high leisure commitment which is highly associated with leisure satisfaction and lving satisfaction.
Fourth, activity commitment and perception commitment which were broken down from the leisure commitment were found to be highly correlated with the leisure satisfaction showing the high R squared value, 0.553.
Finally, among the leisure satisfaction, physiological satisfaction and environmental satisfaction affected the living satisfaction while psychological satisfaction and social satisfaction didn't.
This study has contributed to both academically and practically. In academic aspect, the study achieved conceptualization work of leisure commitment in terms of adventure tourism.
In practical aspect, this study provide the strategic insight to the marketers and policy makers when adventure tourism is adopted. However, this research has limitations in that the observation data were collected in the capital city area and summer time only.
The author will attempt to investigate the similar research in the future by employing various other variables concerned with 'characteristics of life' and 'quality of life'.
