        사지 체벽 복합기형 1례

        Limb body wall complex(LBWC) has been included in the spectrum of defects seen in early amnion rupture sequence. LBWC is a complicated fetal malformation with essential features of exencephaly or encephaloceles associated with facial clefts, lateral body wall defects with evisceration of organs, and limb defects. Our case is characterized by the absence of craniofacial anomalies and normal development of urogenital system comparing with other repoerted cases. We present a case of LBWC with a brief review of the literatures.

        항균성 동치미액의 첨가에 의한 냉면국물 중의 Salmonella typhimurium 및 Staphylococcus aureus 생육억제

        동치미액은 전통적으로 냉면국물로 이용되어왔다. 냉면국물의 미생물 오염문제를 해결하기 위하여 항균활성이 높은 김치 젖산균 Lactobacillus homohiochii B21과 Leuconostoc mesenteroides subsp. mesenteroides C16을 스타터로 혼합사용하여 동치미액을 제조하고, 이를 냉면국물에 100%, 50%, 10% 및 0% 첨가하여 20℃ 및 10℃에서 보관할 때에 동치미액의 항균력으로 인하여 의도적으로 첨가한 Salmonella typhimurium과 Staphylococcus aureus의 증식이 억제되는 정도를 조사하였다. 동치미액 100%인 냉면국물은 20℃에서 보관할 때는 Salmonella typhimurium은 16시간만에, Staphylococcus aureus는 32시간만에 10^6CFU/ml에서 10^0CFU/ml로 각각 급격히 사멸하였고, 10℃에서 보관할 때도 시간경과에 따라 생균수가 급격히 감소하였으나 감소속도는 20℃의 경우보다 느렸다. 동치미액을 50% 첨가한 육수에서도 Salmonella typhimurium과 Staphylococcus aureus는 시간경과에 따라 급격히 감소하였으며, 감소속도는 동치미액 100%일 경우보다 느렸다. 동치미액을 10% 첨가한 육수에서는 20℃에서 보관할 때는 초기에 Salmonella typhimurium과 Staphylococcus aureus의 균수증가가 약간 있었으나 동치미액 무첨가에 비하여 현저히 억제되었으며, 8시간∼16시간 이후부터는 균수가 서서히 감소하였다. 육수에 동치미액을 첨가하지 않았을 경우에는 20℃에서 보관할 때는 초기부터 Salmonella typhimurium과 Staphylococcus aureus의 균수증가가 급격히 이루어졌으며, 10℃에서 보관할 때는 24시간 이후부터 서서히 증가하였다. Salmonella typhimurium과 Staphylococcus aureus에 대한 본 동치미액의 억제력은 후자의 미생물보다 전자에 대하여 더 강하게 나타났다. 본 연구의 동치미액을 육수에 50% 첨가하여 냉면국물을 제조한다면 보관중의 미생물 오염문제 해결에 큰 도움이 될 것으로 판단된다. Juice of Dongchimi, a Korean traditional vegetable food fermented with lactic acid bacteria, has been traditionary used as broth for Naengmyon, a Korean cold noodles with broth. This study was carried out to demonstrate the growth inhibition of two food poisoning bacteria, Salmonella typhimurium and Staphylococcus aureus, in Naengmyon-broth containing Dongchimi-juice fermented with high antibacterial lactic acid bacteria, Lactobacillus homohiochii B21 and Leuconostoc mesenteroides C16. Naengmyon-broths were made with beef broth and Dongchimi-juice fermented with lactic acid bacteria, and the changes in viable cell counts of the inoculated food poisoning bacteria in Naengmyon-broths were investigated during storage at 20℃ and 10℃. In Naengmyon-broth of 100% Dongchimi-juice stored at 20℃, the numbers of Salmonella typhimurium and Staphylococcus aureus were rapidly decreased from 10^6CFU/ml to 10^0CFU/ml in 16 hours and 32 hours, respectively. In Naengmyon-broth containing 50% Dongchimi-juice, their numbers were also rapidly decreased, though the decreasing rates were not so fast as those in 100% Dongchimi-juice. In Naengmyon-broth containing 10% Dongchimi-juice, the growths of the two food poisoning bacteria were markedly inhibited, compared with those in 100% beef broth, though some growths were occurred in early phase. But in Naengmyon-broth of 100% beef broth, their growths were very fast from early. Antibacterial activity of the Dongchimi-juice was more distinct at 20℃ than at 10℃, and was more active against Salmonella typhimurium than against Staphylococcus aureus.

      • IGCC용 고온건식 탈화제의 반응속도 모사에 관한 연구

        고온건식 탈황공정에서 탈황제의 황화, 재생 반응은 비촉매 기고 반응이다. 이러한 비촉매 기고 반응의 수학적 모사는 실험데이터의 설명, 공정의 설계 그리고 scale-up에 있어서 매우 중요한 정보가 된다. 탈황제의 황화, 재생 반응에는 spray dryer로 제조된 zinc titanate 탈황제를 사용하였고, 변형된 미반응핵 모델식에 적용하여 각 반응의 반응속도를 해석한 결과 탈황제의 황화반응에는 화학반응 저항과 고체 상태의 확산 저항이 회합하여 전체반응속도를 지배하며, 이때 반응속도상수는 367.67cm/min 이었고 고체상태의 확산계수는 29.66cm²/min이었다. 또한 재생반응시에 는 화학반응 저항만이 전체반응의 저항으로 관여하며, 이때의 반응속도상수는 3.45x10e cm/min이었다. In the dry-type high temprature gas desulfurization process, sulfidation and regeneration reactions of desulfrrization sorbents are noncatalytic gas-solid reactions. The mathematical modeling of noncatalytic gas-solid reactions is improtant in order to interpret laboratory data and in design and scale-up. Zinc titanate sorbent to manufacture by spray dryer is used in sulfidation and regeneration reactions of desulfuization sorbents. The result which analyzes reaction rate of sulfidation reaction by applying each reactions to modified unreacted core model is that the global reaction rate is controlled by associating with chemical reaction resistance and solid state diffusion resistance. In this case,reaction rate constant is367.67e cm/min and solid state diffusion coefficient is 29.66e cm²/min Also gloval reaction rate of regeneration reaction is controlled only by chemical reaction resistance. In this case, reaction rate constant is 3.45x10e cm/min.

      • T Cell Receptor Rearrangement in NKT Cells Differentiated from Cord Blood CD34+ Cells

        Objectives: To investigate the time of rearrangement of the TCR gene in the process of NKT cell differentiation from CD34+ human cord blood cells in vitro. Methods : We isolated the CD34+ human cord blood cells and induced the differentiation of NKT cells by liquid culture including IL-15, FL and SCF for 30 days. In order to detect the time of TCR gene rearrangement in differen-tiated NKT cell, we performed PCR for TCR-rearrange-ment excision circles (TRECs) with isolated DNA. Results : Signal joint TREC first appeared on day 4 or day 8 and continuously existed until day 30. Between day 9 and day21, cells showed high output of coding joint TRECs after signal joint rearrangement. Conclusion : In differentiated NKT cells, TCR gene rearrangement started within a week after culture started and mostly occurred in 2 to 3 weeks after culture started. 목적: 제대혈에서 분리한 CD34 양성세포를 사이토카인을 이용하여 NKT 세포로 분화시키는 과정에서 T 림프구의 수용체(TCR) 유전자의 재배열이 어느 시기에 나타나는지 알아보고자 하였다. 방법: 제대혈에서 분리한 CD34 양성세포에 IL-15, Flt3-L와 stem cell factor를 첨가하여 액체 배양하였다. 일주일 간격으로 세포를 수거하여 DNA를 분리하고, 이것을 TCR 유전자 재조합의 결과로 생겨나는 TCR-rearrangement excision circles (TRECs)을 검출하는 시발체(primer)를 사용하여 중합효소연쇄반응을 시행하였다. 결과: 배양 시작 4일째부터 TREC이 검출되어 배양 후 30일까지 검출되었으나, 배양 시작 2~3주에 그 정도가 가장 높았다. 결론: 제대혈에서 분리한 CD34 양성세포에서 분화하는 NKT 세포의 TCR 유전자 재조합은 배양 개시 후 일주일 이내에 시작되어 배양 개시후 2~3주에 활발히 일어난다.

        STS316L 용접부의 피로거동 및 초음파시럼에 의한 열화특성 평가

        STS316L은 인성, 연성, 부식저항성 등 우수한 기계적 성질 때문에 에너지환경설비 등 구조물에 널리 이용되고 있다. 그러나, 용접구조물은 가혹한 환경하에서 경년열화가 심각하다. 지금까지의 연구들은 주로 용접부의 피로균열진전거동에 관하여 수행되었고, 피로균열진전속도식의 재료상수와 비파괴적 평가의 상관성에 관한 연구는 거의 없었다. 본 연구는 STS316L 용접부의 피로균열진전 거동을 조사하고, 초음파 파라미터로 열화특성을 평가하고 시간-주파수 분석으로 해석을 하였다. 본 연구 결과는 용접구조물의 사용기간 중 피로수명 등을 예측하기 위한 기초 데이터로서 사용될 수 있다. STS316L had been used as the structural material for energy environmental facilities, because austenite stainless steels like 316L have superior mechanical properties of which toughness, ductility, corrosion resistant and etc. However, those welded structures are receiving severe damage due to increasing of the aged degradation. Most studies until now have been carried out against fatigue bahaviors of weldments, and were not well studied on nondestructive evaluation methods. In this study, the fatigue crack propagation behavior of STS316L weldment usually used for vessels of the nuclear power plant was investigated. Also, the degradation characterstics of 316L stainless steel weldments were evaluated by the ultrasonic parameter such as ultrasonic velocity, attenuation factor and time-frequency analysis. The results of this study can be used as a basic data for the prediction of the fatigue crack life of weldments structures without disjointing or stopping service of structures in service.

        HPLC를 사용한 쌀 중 잔류농약 동시분석법

        A simple and sensitive analytical method based on RP-HPLC with UV detector(225 nm) and mobile phases using 0.1% phosphoric acid and acetonitrile was developed for simultaneous determination of quinclorac, bentazone, 2,4-D, bensulfuron-methyl, dymuron, capropamide, pencycuron, ethofenprox. This method was resulted in recovery of 78~ 96% with RSD 3.3~7.5%. LODs 0.12~0.84 and LOQs 0.34~1.20 ㎎/L. Calibration curves were linear with r of 0.9995~ 0.9999.

        Background : In recent years, gonorrhea has been pandemic and remains one of the most common STDs in the world, especially in developing countries. Objective & Methods : For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of PPNG, we have been trying to study the patients who have visited the Venereal Disease Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by means of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. Results : In 1997. 99 strains of N. gonorrhoeae were isolated, among which 45(45.5%) were PPNG. Conclusion : The prevalence of PPNG in Seoul, which had been decreased to 39% in 1996 after a peak of 74.3% in 1993, is increased to 45.5% in 1997.

        This is a research report of the research that led to the opening of a population education course at Ewha Womans University. The research itself may be divided into the following four parts: planning for the research ; preparatory work for a population education course; opening of a population course; and evaluation of the population course. In the first stage of the research, the work, as usual, consisted of organizing the research team, setting up the research objectives, planning the research schedule, etc. The project began in the Fall of 1974, and concluded in the Fall of 1978. In the second stage of the research, the work was carried out for the preparation of a course in population education. Several sessions of faculty conference, in which more than 40 professors from various fields of specialization participated, were held in order to determine the specific objectives of the proposed course, to draw up a syllabus, and to prepare for a textbook for the course. When a rough sketch of the syllabus, and the contents of the course was made a student group was organized to examine and evaluate it. In the third stage of the research, a population education course titled "Population and Future" was opened as an elective course in the general education curriculum. This was in the Fall of 1875, and the course remained open every semester until now. An anthology with the same title as the course itself was used for reading, and the teaching was carried out as a team teaching by a team of 6-9 professors. In the fourth stage of the research, an evaluative study was taken up in order to evaluate the course with regard to its structure, textbook, teaching method, and its contents, as well as to assess the effectiveness of the course on terms of the students' change in their cognitive and emotive or attitudinal response to population problem.

      • 천추 갈색종양(Brown tumor)으로 발현된 부갑상선 기능항진증 1예

        부갑상선 기능항진증에 의한 골병변으로 갈색종양이 있다. 갈색종양은 주로 장골을 침범하고 척추골에서의 발생은 매우 드물다. 국내의 보고에서 갈색종양의 장골 침범은 있었으나, 척추골에서의 발생은 보고된바 없다 .저자들은 부갑상선 기능항진증으로 인하여 척추골의 천추에 발생된 갈색종양 1예를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. The bony involvement in primary hyperparathyroidism present as browm tumor or osteitis fibrosa cystica and lead to pathologic fracture. Brown tumor commonly involve long bone such as femur, tibia, fibula, humerus, and radius. Brown tumor of axial skeleton is a rare entity. Previously reported case that involve axial skeleton still not present. We report a 47-year-old male patient that he has a hyperparathyroidism presenting as brown tumor involving sacrum.

        Background : In recent years, gonorrhea has been panedemic and remains one of the most commom STDs in the world, especially in developing countries. Objective & Methods: For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of PPNG, we have been trying to study the patients who have visited the VD Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by means of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. Results: In 1996, 139 strains of N. gonorrhoeae were isolated, among which 53(39.0%) were PPNG. Conclusion: Our results suggests that after a peak of 74.3% in 1993, the prevalence of PPNG in Seoul is gradually declining.
