        2D 영상보간:부화소 단위의 에지 검출

        In this paper, we present a new interpolation scheme for image enhancement using nonlinear operator. In general, interpolation techniques are based on linear operators which are essentially lowpass filters, hence, they tend to blur fine details in the original image. In our approach, the operator itself balances the strength of its sharpening and noise suppressing components according to the properties of the input image data.

      • TMS320C30 을 이용한 직접 구동형 로봇 매니퓰레이터 제어기 설계

        A controller for the dynamic control of robot manopulators was designed using a TMS320C30 DSP CPU, which has the highest performance among the third DSP chips in the TI company. The design objective of the system is the real-time implementation of various dynamic control algorithms including neural and fuzzy control, which requires a lot of computation and large memory and has been tested only by simulations so far. The designed controller consists of a TMS320C30 CPU, high speed D/A Converters, 32-bit Counters, 2K Dual port RAM, and 4MB DRAM for the advanced robot control algorithms. We implemented a torque control algorithm on the HongIK-DDA with the developed controller. The Simulation data show that the developed controller functions perfectly and has sufficient computational performance for the dynamic control of robots, which means that various dynamic control algorothms of robot can be implemented realtime with this controller.

        A new neural network structure called Self-Organized Distributed Networks (SODN) is proposed for developing the neural network-based multi-dimensional system models. The learning with the proposed networks is fast and precise. Such properties are caused from the local learning mechanism. The SODN is a hybrid structure of a learning network and a distribution network. The learning network is composed of a set of subnetworks while the distribution network composed of a set of self-organized units. With this structure, the SODN provides a better interpolation than the conventional locally distributed networks (especially RBF networks). In this paper, comparisons with multilayer neural network and RBF networks have been done through learning of two dimensional terrain elevation data.

      • 제1요수 불완전 하반신 마비 환자에서의 기능적 전기자극에 의한 훈련 증례보고

        Functional electrical stimulation(FES) is known to increase muscle bulk and strength and prevent muscle atrophy in complete paraplegic patients. And other benefits include peripheral adaptations which improve muscle endurance, girth, and appearance, as well as central circulatory adaptation which enhances aerobic(cardiopulmonary) capacity. Good candidates for FES include spinal cord injured patients who have clinically complete upper motor neuron lesion between T4-T12. But we experienced incomplete L1 paraplegic patient who has improved maximal knee extension power, endurance, circumference and cross-sectional area of the thigh and the shank after FES-induced exercise for 44 weeks. So we recommend more trial of the FES-induced exercise to not only complete but also incomplete lumbar paraplegic patients.

      • 국산 체외 충격파 쇄석기의 음향학적 특성 평가

        In the study we measured and evaluated the acoustical property of a domestic spark gap type extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL). Altering the discharging medium between the electrodes of the shock wave generator (water, 1% an 10% NaCl electrolyte), we measured shock waveforms and sound pressure level (SPL). For the shock waves produced using the discharging medium, water, it was seen that the shock wave peak pressure went up to 70 MPa, and the SPL was in the range of 90 - 100 dB. As the concentration of NaCl increased in the electrolyte. the SPL did not change much and was shown to increase correlation with the discharging voltage. In the case of the discharging medium. 10% NaCl electrolyte, it was found that the shock amplitudes varied in a narrow range when being high in the concentration of NaCl and were large when being high in discharging voltages. While the stone fragmentation was in process, we measured the acoustic emission and compared their spectral properties.

      • 비선형 시스템제어를 위한 퍼지-뉴로 제어기 개발

        In this paper, we propose a new control algorithm based on the neural network(NN) feedback compensation with a desired trajectory modification. The proposed algorithm decreases trajectory errors by a feed-forward desired torque combined with a neural network feedback torque component. And, to robustly control the tracking error, we modified the desired trajectory by variable structure concept smoothed by a fuzzy logic. For the numerical simulation, a 2-link robot manipulator model was assumed. To simulate the disturbance due to the modelling uncertainty. As a result of this simulation, the proposed method shows better trajectory tracking performance compared with the CTM and decreases the chattering in control inputs.

      • 유기 능동 소자 제작을 위한 유기 박막의 제작 및 전기적 특성

        There are currently considerable interest in the applications of conjugated polymers, oligomers, and small molecules for thin-film electronic devices. Organic materials have potential advantages to be utilized as semiconductors in field-effect transistors and light-emitting diodes. In this study, pentacene thin-film transistors (TFTs) were fabricated on glass substrate. Aluminums were used for gate electrodes. silicon dioxide was deposited as a gate insulator by PECVD and patterned by reactive ion etching (R.I.E). Gold was used for the electrodes of source and drain. The active semiconductor pentacene layer was thermally evaporated in vacuum at a pressure of about 10?? Torr and a deposition rate 0.3Å/s. The fabricated devices exhibited the field-effect mobility as large as 0.07㎠/V.s and on/off current ratio as larger than 10??.

        Capsaicin과 Paradol이 구강내 유해자극에 의한 개구반사와 신경흥분 전달에 미치는 영향

        This study was performed to elucidate the analgesic mechanism of paradol and to compare effects of paradol with those of dihidrocapscaicin(DHC). Rabbits(2-2.5kg both sexes) were anesthetized with pentobarbital sodium(30mg/kg I.V.), and cannulated in trachea and external jugular vein. To observe effects on jaw opening reflex, inferior alveolar nerve(IAN) of both sides were exposed for drug application, and wire electrodes were inserted in anterior belly of digastric muscle for recording of EMGs of anterior belly of digastric muscle(dEMG) and in oral mucosa covering mental foramen for applying noxious stimulation. dEMGs evoked by noxious stimulation with double intensity of threshold for digastric EMG were recorded in magnetic tape recorder. To observe effects on action potential, saphenous nerve were exposed, and three tissue pools were made from surrounding tissue. The most distal pool was used for applying stimulation, the most proximal one for recording of action potentials, and the other on for drug application. Action potentials evoked by 200 folds intensity of threshold for most sensitive fiber were recorded in magnetic tape recorder. One side of IAN and saphenous nerves were used for DHC or paradol applications, the other side of nerves for control experiments(only vehicle application). Vehicle consisted of 10% Tween 80, 10% ethanol and 80% physiological saline(v/v), and drugs were solubilized in vehicle for 1.5% concentration(w/v). dEMGs and action potentials were recorded before drug application, immediate after 30 minutes drug application, at 30 and 60 minutes after drug had been washed out. DHC application on IAN could not influence on dEMG, but paradol application decreased the amplitude of dEMG. In action potential experiments, DHC decreased amplitude and conduction velocity of only C fiber, while paradol did those of C-fiber and Aδ-fiber.

        국내 조혈모세포이식 환자에서 Human Cytomegalovirus gB 유전형의 분포와 질환과의 연관성 : 예비 보고

        목적 : 사람 거대세포바이러스(Human cytomegalovirus, 이하 HCMV) glycoprotein B (gB)는 UL55 유전자에 의해 부호화되는 당단백으로, UL55 유전자의 염기서열변화에 따라 4가지 유전형으로 나뉜다. 본 연구에서는 국내 조혈모세포이식 환자들에서 HCMV gB 유전형의 분포와 그 특성을 알아보고, gB 유전형에 따라 특정 HCMV 질환 발생과 연관이 있는지 그 임상적 의미를 분석해 보고자 하였다. 재료 및 방법 : 동종 조혈모세포이식 환자 52명의 혈액검체 94개에 대해, Chou 등이 제시한 방법에 따라, 먼저 UL55 유전자 부위를 nested PCR로 증폭한 후, RsaI과HinfI으로 Restriction fragment length polymorphism(RFLP) 분석을 시행하였다. 결과 : gB type 1은 73.1% (38/52), gB type 2는 13.5%(7/52), gB type 3는 1.9% (1/52), gB type 1과 type 2에 의한 혼합감염은 9.6% (5/52)로 나타났다. gB type 4는 관찰되지 않았다. 1명(1.9%)에서 gB 유전형을 결정할 수 없었는데, RFLP 패턴으로 보아 Trincado 등이 제시한 gB type 7에 해당하는 것으로 생각되었고, 이 새로운 아형에 대해서는 현재 염기서열 분석 중이다. 52명 중 5명(9.6%)에서 HCMV 질환이 발생하였고, 3명에서 HCMV 폐렴, 1명에서 망막염과 위장관염, 나머지 1명에서 망막염이 발생하였다. 5명 중 HCMV 질환과 관련하여 사망한 예는 없었고, 감염된 HCMV는 모두 gB type 1이었다. HCMV gB유전형과 HCMV 질환 발생 사이에 유의한 연관성은 없었고, 단일 주에 의한 감염과 혼합감염에 따른 HCMV 질환발생 사이에도 유의한 연관성은 관찰되지 않았다. 자료 분석 중 gB type 2에 감염되어 있던 환자에서 gB type 1에 재감염 되면서 발열, 간효소 수치 상승 및 pp65 HCMV 항원혈증이 나타난 예가 있었다. 결론 : 연구결과 gB type 1이 아주 우세하고, gB type 4는 검출되지 않았으며, 혼합감염의 빈도가 비교적 낮은 분포를 보였다. 이는 외국의 보고와는 다른 국내 조혈모세포이식 환자에서의 독톡한 감염 양상으로 추정된다. 본 연구에서 HCMV gB 유전형과 질환 발생과의 연관성을 밝힐 수는 없었으나, HCMV 유전형에 대한 연구는 바이러스 감염의 발병기전이나 전파 경로 및 양식과 같은 역학적 연구에 중요한 자료가 될 것이다. 현재 더 많은 수의 조혈모세포이식 환자를 대상으로 연구가 진행 중에 있으며, 앞으로 다른 질환군의 환자나 건강한 잠복 감염자에서의 추가 연구가 필요할 것으로 생각된다. Background : Human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) glycoprotein B (gB) is the major envelope glycoprotein, encoded by the UL55 gene. Based on sequence variation in the UL55 gene, HCMV can be classified into four gB genotypes. Previous studies have suggested an association between HCMV gB genotypes and clinical outcome in the immunocompromised hosts. The goal of this study was to determine the distribution of HCMV gB genotypes and the effect of gB genotype in the developement of HCMV diseases in hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT) recipients in Korea. Materials and Methods : DNA was extracted from 94 blood specimen of 52 allogeneic HSCT recipients with HCMV infection. HCMV gB genotype was determined using polymerase chain reaction to amplify a region of UL55, followed by restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) analysis based on RsaI and HinfI digestion. Results : The distribution of gB types were as follows: gB1, 73.1% (38/52) of patients; gB2, 13.5% (7/52); gB3, 1.9% (1/52) and mixed infection (gB1 and gB2), 9.6% (5/52). While gB4 was not detected, a new genotype (described as gB7 by Trincado et al, 2000) was identified on the basis of their RFLP pattern. During average 708 days’ follow up period, HCMV diseases developed in 5 patients. All of them had gB1 genotype. There was no statistically significant association between the incidence of HCMV diseases and the gB genotypes. Re-infection with gB1 strain was detected in one patient who had been previously infected with gB2. This episode was associated with fever, elevated liver enzyme and positive antigenemia. Conclusion : HCMV gB1 was the dominant genotype and no gB4 was detected in allogeneic HSCT recipients in Korea, which is an unique pattern compared with the previous reports. Although we can not find significant association between the HCMV diseases and the gB genotypes, genotyping of HCMV will serve in the study of pathogenesis and transmission of this virus in transplant patients. Further study is underway with large study population.
