이 논문은 디지털 영상에 대한 에지를 보존하는 새로운 영상 보간 방법을 제안한다. 일반적인 보간 기법은 선형 연산자를 이용한 저역필터를 사용함으로써 원 영상의 고조파 성분에 대한 정보를 손실하는바 high contrast 에지 부분에서 희뿌옇게 되는 현상과 톱니현상이 일어나 영상 선명도가 떨어지는 경향이 있었다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 단점을 개선한 새로운 보간 기법을 제시한다. 본 논문에서 제시한 보간 알고리즘은 퍼지 연산자를 이용하여 입력 영상 데이터의 성질에 따라 고주파 성분과 저주파 성분을 달리 조절함으로써 원래 영상에 가까운 해상도를 얻을 수 있다. In this paper, we present a new interpolation scheme for image enhancement using fuzzy inference. In general, interpolation techniques are based on linear operators which are essentially lowpass filters, hence, they tend to blur fine details in the original image. In our approach, the operator itself balances the strength of its sharpening and noise suppressing components according to the Properties of the input image data.

The Cultural properties which are invaluable for mankind is continuously being destroyed by various chemical or physical reactions. Therefore, it is seriously required to restore and conserve them correctly. Image processing can be a very powerful tool for such purposes. By analyzing and/or enhancing the multi-spectral image data from visible light, infrared, the parts which should be restored and the conserving status of the properties can be detected and other precious information can be obtained using image processing techniques. In this paper, we explain an image processing system which alms at restoration of wall paintings. Developed software tools are then applied to Josahdang wall painting (National treasure 46).
Measure of fuzziness with fuzzy entropy function

The relations of fuzzy entropy, distance measure, and similarity measure are discussed in this paper. For the purpose of reliable signal selection, the fuzzy entropy is proposed by a distance measure. Properness of the proposed entropy is verified by the definition of the entropy measure. Fourier and Wavelet transform are applied to the stator current signal to obtain the fault features of an induction motor. Membership functions for 3-phase currents are obtained by the Bootstrap method and Central Limit Theorem. Finally, the proposed entropy is applied to measure the fault signal of an induction machine, and the fuzzy entropy values of phase currents are illustrated.

In this paper, we present a method of fuzzy controller design for the power plant superheater in the form of bilinear system. For the steam temperature control, the input variables are constructed by the area of difference between the profiles estimated from bilinear observer and reference profiles, and the time rate of change. We estimate the control rules by T. Takagi and M. Sugeno"s fuzzy model. The feasibilities of the suggested method are illustrated via the computer simulation result.
