        Development of YOLO-based apple quality sorter

        The task of sorting and excluding blemished apples and others that lack commercial appeal is currently performed manually by human eye sorting, which not only causes musculoskeletal disorders in workers but also requires a significant amount of time and labor. In this study, an automated apple-sorting machine was developed to prevent musculoskeletal disorders in apple production workers and to streamline the process of sorting blemished and nonmarketable apples from the better quality fruit. The apple-sorting machine is composed of an arm-rest, a main body, and a height-adjustable part, and uses object detection through a machine learning technology called ‘You Only Look Once (YOLO)’ to sort the apples. The machine was initially trained using apple image data, RoboFlow, and Google Colab, and the resulting images were analyzed using Jetson Nano. An algorithm was developed to link the Jetson Nano outputs and the conveyor belt to classify the analyzed apple images. This apple-sorting machine can immediately sort and exclude apples with surface defects, thereby reducing the time needed to sort the fruit and, accordingly, achieving cuts in labor costs. Furthermore, the apple-sorting machine can produce uniform quality sorting with a high level of accuracy compared with the subjective judgment of manual sorting by eye. This is expected to improve the productivity of apple growing operations and increase profitability.

        다성분계 물성을 예측하기 위한 BaTiO3기반 계산과학 플랫폼 구축

        Barium titanate (BaTiO3) is considered to be a beneficial ceramic material for multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC) applications because of its high dielectric constant and low dielectric loss. Numerous attempts have been made to improve the physical properties of BaTiO3 in response to recent market trends by employing multicomponent alloying strategies. However, owing to its significantnumber of atomic combinations and unpredictable physical properties, finding a traditional experimental approach to develop multicomponent systems is difficult; the development of such systems is also time-consuming. In this study, 168 new structures were fabricated using special quasi-random structures (SQSs) of Ba1-xCaxTi1-yZryO3, and 1680 physical properties were extracted from first-principles calculations. In addition, we built an integrated database to manage the computational results, and will provide big data solutions by performing data analysis combined with AI modeling. We believe that our research will enable the global materials market to realize digital transformation through datalization and intelligence of the material development process.

      • 호중구감소성 발열 환자에서 Cefepime의 집단 약동학

        Background : Cefepime is a broad spectrum cephalosporin that is used for various pathogens including Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Its dosing regimen in Korea has been confined to 2 g q 12 h due to the reimbursement guidelines set for budget containment. To find out scientific guideline for cefepime dosage in Korean patients, knowledge on its population pharmacokinetics is a useful reference. Methods : We recruited 51 febrile neutropenic patients with hematologic malignancy. For the control of their infections, cefepime was given together with other antibiotics. Peak (1-3 h after dosing) and trough (around 6 h after dosing) blood samples per patients were taken for the mixed effect modeling analysis using NONMEM Ver. V. Simulation based upon the population parameters was performed and 500 patients data made up thereafter were tested for the time over MIC (TOM) 2, 4, 8 mg/L. Results : CL was proportional to CLcr, but Vd was not explained by any of the covariates. At the MIC of 2 mg/L, TOM was greater than 40% of dosing interval in all simulated patients. At the MIC of 4 and 8 mg/L, 92% and 67% of the simulated patients had TOM greater than 40% of dosing interval respectively. Discussion : The present study is the first report of population pharmacokinetics of cefepime in febrile neutropenic patients. We expect that this result will be used as a fundamental data for the rational pharmacotherapy of high-cost antibiotics in Korea.

        항생제의 약동학/약역학 : 기본 개념 및 임상응용

        Pharmacokinetics (PK) of antibiotics can be considered as the absorption, distribution and elimination of drug. Pharmacodynamics (PD) is the relationship between concentration of drug and the antimicrobial effect. Time course of antibiotic activity is a reflection of the interrelationship between PK and PD. Over the past decades, considerable data have been derived from in vitro, in vivo models and infected patients. The time course activity characteristics of concentration effect and postantibiotic effects, determine the typical patterns of antibiotic activity according to the PD classification. Furthermore, the pattern of antibiotic activity over time is an important determinant of optimal dosage regimens. This review will focus on general concepts and the applications of PK/PD to antibiotic therapy.

        남녀 대학생에서 십선혈(十宣穴) 사혈(瀉血)이 혈압, 체온 및 맥박수에 미치는 영향

        Objectives : Sypsun-points are located at the tips of all fingers, 0.1 chon(寸) from the finger nails, totaling 10 points on both hands. These points have been used for emergency care, fainting, epilepsy, cerebrovascular accidents, hypertension, unconsciousness, high fever etc. in oriental medicine. The most common technique is bleeding with a needle at these points. We investigated whether Venesection at the Sybsun-points has effects on blood pressure and body temperature and pulse rate in humans aged from 20 to 30 who had no specific past history and whose vital signs are in normal range. Methods : 67 persons were studied from March to June 2008. They were composed of Sample group(n=36) and Normal group(n=31). Both two groups kept a steady state an hour before venesection. In both group, we checked blood pressure and body temperature and pulse rates 6 times( 30min. before and just before treatment, and just after, 30, 60, 90min after treatment). All study environments were same between sample and normal group. But only, normal group didn't carry out venesection at the Sybsun-points. Results : In a comparison of before and after venesection at the Sybsun-points, any Statistical significance was not evaluated. Though pulse rate in sample group was significantly decreased after venesection(p<0.05), it has no statistical significance because normal group's pulse rate was also significantly decreased and between two groups had no statistical difference. Conclusions : Though further study is needed, our findings suggest that venesection at the Sybsun-points has no significant effect on blood pressure and body temperature, and pulse rate in humans who had no specific past history and whose vital signs are in normal range. Also in that case, we may know that pain and tension result from venesection at the Sybsun-points have no significant effect on blood pressure and body temperature and pulse rate.

        동해구 트롤어선 분쟁과 어업허가권의 법적성격과 승계에 관한 연구 -「연근해어업의 어업조정 고시」로 야기된 분쟁을 중심으로 -

        The "Notification of Fisheries Adjustment of Primorsky Fisheries", enacted for the public interest of fisheries adjustment and resource conservation, falls under the supplementary regulations. Only 14 out of 43 troll fishing boats in Donghae-gu were allowed to operate sternly. This is directly related to the transferability of fishing permits, and opinions are divided on whether fishing permits are objective permits or mixed permits, but many view them as objective permits. The Supreme Court's ruling denies the transfer of the right to permit fishing, saying that even if a fishing boat is transferred to a person with an existing fishing permit, the right to permit fishing is not transferred, and the transferee can only engage in a new fishing permit. Therefore, according to precedent, the transferor transferred the ship, not the fishing permit, so the right to permit the stern-type operation still exists to the transferor, and the transferee transferred the ship, and not the right to permit the stern-type operation. The legal nature and succession of the fishing license rights of troll fishing boats in Donghae-gu are issues that continue to be disputed in fisheries practice, so research on this is worth examining academically and practically. 수산실무상 쟁점인 연근해 어업의 어업조정과 자원보전이라는 공익상 목적으로 제정된「연근해어업의 어업조정 고시」는 법령보충규칙에 해당하고, 고시 제정당시 전체 동해구 트롤어선 43척 중에 14척에 한해서만 선미식 조업을 허가하고 나머지 어선에 대해서는 선미식으로 건․개조를 금지하게 함으로써 기존에 선미식으로 조업했던 어선이 대체·상속·매매·침몰되었을 때 선미식 조업 어선을 양수한자는 선미식 조업을 할 수 있는지 논란이 된 것이다. 이것은 어업허가의 양도성과 직결되는 것으로 어업허가는 대물적 허가인지 아니면 혼합적 허가인지에 대해 의견이 나누어지지만 대물적 허가로 보는 것이 다수견해이다. 대물적 허가로 보는 견해나 추가된「수산업법」제44조 규정취지를 해석하면 어업허가는 양도되어야 하지만, 대법원 판결은 기존 어업허가를 받은 자에게 어선을 양수하더라도 어업허가권까지 양수되는 것이 아니고 양수인은 어업허가를 새로이 받아야만 허가어업에 종사할 수 있는 것이라고 하여서 어업허가의 권리양도를 부정하고 있다. 따라서 판례에 따르면 양도인은 선박을 양도한 것이지 어업허가를 양도한 것은 아니므로 선미식 조업 허가권은 여전히 양도인에게 존재하고, 양수인은 선박을 양수 받은 것이고, 선미식 조업 허가권을 양수받은 것은 아니다. 동해구 트롤어선의 어업허가권의 법적성격과 승계는 수산실무에서는 계속 분쟁이 지속되는 문제이므로 이에 대한 연구는 학문적이나 실무적으로 검토할 가치가 있다.

        뇌성마비인을 위한 활인심방(活人心方) 운동프로그램 개발에 관한 연구

        This study was applied to the people with cerebral palsy with the aim of to verify the effectiveness of the Hwal In Shim Bang exercising program. It was conducted on 16 male and female in a special high school students(17~25 age), for 50min, 3times/week, for 12 weeks. The results of this study are as follows; 1. In the basic fitness, there was significant difference in the Vo2max(t=6.11, p< .001), sitting trunk flexion(t=5.15, p< .001), sit up(t=6.86, p< .001) and closed eyes foot balance(t=3.22, p< .05) of the experiment group. And the body composition was only significant difference in the %fat(t=-5.14, p< .01) of the experiment group. 2. In the self-esteem, there was significant difference in the general self-esteem(t=7.20, p< .001), study accomplishment(t=4.97, p<.01), social acceptance(t=2.76, p<.05), physical expression(t=3.33, p< .05), characteristics of actions(t=4.26, p< .01), motor fitness (t=3.55, p< .01) and the whole of self-esteem(t=11.50, p< .001) fields in the experiment group. 3. In the ECG, there was only significant difference in the HR(t=-3.62, p< .01), P-R(t=2.72, p< .05) and Q-T interval(t=3.89, p< .01) in the experiment group. Whereas, there was no significant difference in the motor fitness test, self-esteem test, and ECG test in the control group.
