        선택적 촉매 산화 반응에 의한 황화 수소의 제거 Ⅱ . TiO2 / SiO2 촉매 상에서 황화 수소의 선택적 산화 반응

        본 연구는 H₂S를 TiO₂/SiO₂촉매상에서 산소와의 직접 산화 반응을 통해 원소 황의 형태로 제거하는 반응에 관한 것이다. 순수한 TiS₂Ti(SO₄)_2를 사용한 반응 실험과 순수한 TiO₂에 대한 주기적 온도 조작 실험 결과로부터 TiO₂는 황 회수 공정에서 사용되는 촉매의 비활성화의 주원인으로 알려진 sulfation이나 salfidation에 대해 매우 안정한 것으로 나타났다. TiO₂/SiO₂촉매에서 TiO₂의 담지량이 증가함에 따라 H₂S 전화율이 증가하였고, 원소 황의 선택도는 아주 소폭으로 감소하였다. 반응 실험결과 O₂/H₂S의 비가 증가할수록 원소 황의 선택도는 크게 감소하였다. 10 wt.% TiO₂/SiO₂ 촉매는 화학 양론비의 조성(H₂S=5 vol.% O₂=2.5 vol.%)의 반응물에 10 vol.%의 수증기를 첨가한 경우 활성과 선택도가 감소하였으나 여전히 80% 이상의 원소 황 수율을 유지하고 있었다. Selective catalytic oxidation of H₂S to elemental sulfur using TiO₂/SiO₂ catalysts was investigated in this study. The reaction test with pure TiS₂and Ti(SO₄)₂and cyclic temperature operation revealed that TiO₂had a good resistance to sulfation and sulfidation, which are known as the main cause of catalytic deactivation in sulfur recovery process. With the increase of TiO₂loading amount in Tio₂/SiO₂catalysts, the conversion of H₂S increased and the selectivity of elemental sulfur was very slightly decreased. As the ratio of O₂/H₂S increased, the selectivity to elemental sulfur was drastically decreased. In the presence of 10 vol.% water vapor to a stoichiometric mixture of H₂S and O₂(H₂S =5 vol.% O=2.5 vol.%), both activity and selectivity of 10 wt.% TiO₂/SiO₂catalyst are decreased, but it still showed more than 80% of sulfur yield.

        PHF2 histone demethylase acts as a tumor suppressor in association with p53 in cancer

        Plant homeodomain finger 2 (PHF2) has a role in epigenetic regulation of gene expression by demethylating H3K9-Me2. Several genome-wide studies have demonstrated that the chromosomal region including the PHF2 gene is often deleted in some cancers including colorectal cancer, and this finding encouraged us to investigate the tumor suppressive role of PHF2. As p53 is a critical tumor suppressor in colon cancer, we tested the possibility that PHF2 is an epigenetic regulator of p53. PHF2 was associated with p53, and thereby, promoted p53-driven gene expression in cancer cells under genotoxic stress. PHF2 converted the chromatin that is favorable for transcription by demethylating the repressive H3K9-Me2 mark. In an HCT116 xenograft model, PHF2 was found to be required for the anticancer effects of oxaliplatin and doxorubicin. In PHF2-deficient xenografts, p53 expression was profoundly induced by both drugs, but its downstream product p21 was not, suggesting that p53 cannot be activated in the absence of PHF2. To find clinical evidence about the role of PHF2, we analyzed the expressions of PHF2, p53 and p21 in human colon cancer tissues and adjacent normal tissues from patients. PHF2 was downregulated in cancer tissues and PHF2 correlated with p21 in cancers expressing functional p53. Colon and stomach cancer tissue arrays showed a positive correlation between PHF2 and p21 expressions. Informatics analyses using the Oncomine database also supported our notion that PHF2 is downregulated in colon and stomach cancers. On the basis of these findings, we propose that PHF2 acts as a tumor suppressor in association with p53 in cancer development and ensures p53-mediated cell death in response to chemotherapy.

      • 미국 의학드라마에 나타난 간호이미지와 역할수행 연구

        We tried to inquire the people's views on nursing or nurses, correct the image of nurse and take it as a basis to be applied on nursing education examining the image of nursing on Television drama playing a important role of mass media. 523 nurses of the characters in drama is applied to the analysis object of this study by selecting 3 American medical dramas, Grey's Anatomy, House M.D, E.R from 2005 to 2007. Contents analysis method was used in Data Analysis, which was used in Lim Mi-lim ?Research on contents analysis on image of nursing on television drama?, 7 Items was used after Coders previously modify and compensate it based on research documents of Kalish & Kalisch(1986), Yoon Young(1983), Lee Hye-Ok(1982), Lee Young-Bok, etc in analysis items. Before making the coding, we did pre-test. 6 Coders made of 3teams, 2 Coders are in each team, made the Codings the article on each person by Item seeing the recorded Film. An each team makes coding about 50episodes, total 147episodes for 2weeks. We used double coding and when the results are different between two coders, we decided just one result through mutual agreement. The average of reliability degree was 97.4% which measured the reliability degree by the method of Holsti. The statistic method of Frequency, Percentage was used using EXCEL Program in data processing. The result of research is as follows. 1. The general feature of nurses on the drama is that they are women(92.7%) which is 20 or 30-aged(70.5%). 2. Relative importance of 65.2% nurses in drama is depicted as surrounding characters and most of them was expressed as the character plating surrounding role. 3. The affair attitude of nurses shown on drama is revealed as active(24.5%), autonomous(32%), kind(16.8%), mechanical(23.2%) and adept(28.4%). However, unknown category is the highest in all affairs. 4. The professional activity of nurses was classified with professional/simple affair, The professional activity of nurses was 80% and simple activity of nurses was 22.9%. The professional activity of nurses was classified with personal/assistant affair. The personal activity of nurses was 61.9% and assistant activity of nurses was 15.1%. 5. The place nurses of the drama appears are hospital(97.7%). 6. The appearance feature of nurses is shown on common physique (55.0%), common stature(79.3%), common appearance(76.1%), common dignity(97.5%) and decent (51.1%). 7. The feature of character of nurses depicted on Television drama is neutral in all 11 affairs. We want the following epigraph based on above conclusion. 1. The continuos research intended for mass people is required about how their image of nurse is changed after watching medical drama. 2. The research to construct monitoring mass media system and make plans for developing is required for nurse image being in a triangular position as a professional job.

        한국형 연질치즈의 품질개선에 관한 연구

        This study was aimed to investigate the possibilities of other cheese variety, which was based upon modified Mozzarella process and ripened by Penicillium candidum. The experimentally-made cheeses have been examined for their chemical, physical, textural and organoleptic properties during ripening depending upon the salting time and the mold strains. The experimentally-made cheeses with different salting time(M2 and M4) were inoculated separately with Penicillium candidum S11 and TRAD, respectively. Moisture contents of M2, M4, S2, S4, T2 and T4 cheeses were 48.89, 49.55, 52.89, 52.25, 50.56 and 49.91%, protein contents were 25.04, 24.12, 25.33, 24.23, 25.70 and 27.22%, and fat contents were 23.75, 23.62, 21.97, 19.82, 19.41 and 19.17%, respectively. Water soluble nitrogen contents of M2, M4, S2, S4, T2 and T4 cheeses were 0.92, 1.01, 2.56, 2.82, 3.58 and 3.70 ㎎/g. TCA soluble nitrogen contents of M2, M4, S2, S4, T2 and T4 cheeses were 0.41, 0.49, 0.75, 0.86, 0.95 and 1.04 ㎎/g. NaCl contents of M2 and M4 cheeses were 2.15 and 2.30 %. Those of S2, S4, T2 and T4 cheeses were 1.76, 2.17, 1.52 and 2.03 % after 2 weeks of ripening and were 1.74, 1.79, 1.43 and 1.80% after 4 weeks of ripening. On electophoretogram of proteins during cheese ripening, caseins of T2 and T4 cheeses appeared to be degaded more than those of S2 and S4 cheeses. Hardness of M2 and M4 were I.51 and 1.33 ㎏. That of S2, S4, T2 and T4 cheeses decreased to 1.15, 0.87, 1.17 and 1.24 ㎏ after 2 weeks of ripening, and deceased to 0.65, 0.77, 0.52 and 0.62 ㎏ after 4 weeks of ripening. Cohesiveness values of M2 and M4 cheeses were 0.53 and 0.50. Those of S2, S4, T2 and T4 cheeses changed to be 0.53, 0.47, 0.53 and 0.55 after 2 weeks of ripening, and to be 0.49, 0.50, 0.54 and 0.55 after 4 weeks of ripening. Tyramine contents of S11 and TRAD during aging increased from 228.2, 170.3 ㎎/㎏(2 weeks) to 558.1, 588.9 ㎎/㎏(4 weeks), respectively. In triangle sensory test, the cheese salted for 4 hrs was found to be different significantly from the others (p$lt;0.05). In descriptive analysis with scaling, significant differences among the treatments were found in the salty taste (p$lt;0.01), but not found in the flavor, texture, and acceptability. In triangle sensory test of S2, S4, T2 and T4 cheeses after ripening, S4-T4 and T2-T4 were different significantly (p$lt;0.05). In descriptive analysis with scaling, they were found to be significantly different in salty taste and acceptability (p$lt;0.01), but not in flavor and texture. T2 cheese, which gave lowest scare in salty taste, was the most favored cheese in overall scores.

        Highly selective iron-based Fischer-Tropsch catalysts activated by CO<sub>2</sub>-containing syngas

        Fischer-Tropsch synthesis (FTS) was carried out over precipitated iron-based catalysts activated by syngas (H<SUB>2</SUB>+CO) with different amounts of CO<SUB>2</SUB> (0%, 20%, 33%, and 50%). The activation using CO<SUB>2</SUB>-containing syngas significantly suppressed the production of undesired products, CH<SUB>4</SUB> and C<SUB>2</SUB>-C<SUB>4</SUB> hydrocarbons, but facilitated the production of valuable products, C<SUB>5+</SUB> hydrocarbons. In particular, in the case of C<SUB>19+</SUB> hydrocarbons, the target products of low-temperature FTS (≤280<SUP>o</SUP>C), both selectivity and productivity showed a great increase with an increased inlet CO<SUB>2</SUB> content during activation. We attribute the advantageous performance of the catalysts activated by CO<SUB>2</SUB>-containing syngas to the improvement in the effective performance of active iron carbides, possibly induced by an increased ratio of ε'-carbide (Fe<SUB>2.2</SUB>C) to χ-carbide (Fe<SUB>2.5</SUB>C) and a decreased fraction of inactive bulk carbons.

        Seriousness of particulate matter (PM 2.5, 1.0, 0.1) leads to rigid regulation in atmospheric field due to class 1 cancer-causing agent. Noteworthy fact that most particulate matter is generated by gaseous contaminants is high conversion proportion by nitrogen oxides (NOx) among them. Therefore, selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology is indispensable for decomposing NOx into harmless products, N₂ and H₂O, because it is also harmful to both environment and living organisms itself. Conventional production process of SCR catalyst use extrusion for honeycomb shape, but it has difficult to rapidly fabricate diverse and complex morphology for improved performance. It is possibly solved by replacing extrusion to 3Dprinting having advantages such as effective short process time, effective economy aspect, and recycle of materials. In this study, catalyst carrier that is manufactured by 3D-printing is coated with SCR slurry of V₂O5-WO₃/TiO₂, commercial composition. Subsequently, performance and properties are characterized by particle size, morphology, catalytic performance in powder and green body state.

        Numerical modeling and experimental study of the influence of GDL properties on performance in a PEMFC

        This work is to study the effect of properties of gas diffusion layer (GDL) on performance in a polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) by both numerical simulation and experiments. The 1-dimension numerical simulation using the mixture-phase model is developed to calculate polarization curve. We are able to estimate optimum GDL properties for cell performance from numerical simulation results. Various GDLs which have different properties are prepared to verify accuracy of the simulation results. The contact angle and gas permeability of GDLs are controlled by polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) content in micro-porous layers (MPLs). MPL slurry is prepared by homogeneous blending of carbon powder, PTFE suspension, isopropyl alcohol and glycerol. Then the slurry is coated on gas diffusion mediums (GDMs) surface with controlled thickness by blade coating method. Non-woven carbon papers which have different thicknesses of 200 μm and 380 μm are used as GDMs. The prepared GDLs are measured by surface morphology, contact angle, gas permeability and through-plane electrical resistance. Moreover, the GDLs are tested in a 25 cm<SUP>2</SUP> single cell at 70 <SUP>o</SUP>C in humidified H<SUB>2</SUB>/air condition. The contact angle of GDL increases with increasing PTFE content in MPL. However, the gas permeability and through-plane electrical conductivity decrease with increasing PTFE content and thickness of GDM. These changes in properties of GDL greatly influence the cell performance. As a result, the best performance is obtained by GDL consists of 200 μm thick non-woven carbon paper as GDM and MPL contained 20 wt.% PTFE content.
