The purpose of this study was to examine effects of mother's personality on parenting stress and behaviors. Subjects of this study were 425 mothers of young children aged 3-5 years old attending 2 kindergartens and 4 child care centers located Cheong-ju city and Chungbuk province. Data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, Cronbach's α, and Pearson's product-moment correlation coefficient using the SPSS 12.0 program, and path analysis was done using AMOS 7.0 program. The results of this study were as follows: First, mother's open-mindedness of personality had a direct effect on parenting stress caused by dysfunctional parent-child interaction on while mother's extraversion of personality had directly impacted on parenting stress aroused by her own parenting. However, mother's neuroticism of personality had directly affected on all areas of parenting stress which it indicated mother's neuroticism was the most strong impactor on parenting stress. Second, parenting stress caused by child and mother had direct effects on mother's controlling parenting while all areas of parenting stress caused by child, mother, and dysfunctional parent-child interaction had direct effects on mother's rejective parenting behavior. Mother's affectionate parenting behavior was directly affected by parenting stress caused parent-child dysfunctional interaction. Third, mother's open-mindedness, extroversion, neuroticism of personality had indirect effects on mother's parenting behavior mediated by parenting stress.
KS H ISO 1242 표준의 평가 : 라반딘 정유의 산값 측정

The acid value (AV) as well as the ester value of essential oil is an important index to evaluate quality of essential oil. The official standard analytical method of KS H ISO 1242 dealing with “Essential oils - Determination of acid value” was assessed experimentally using two lavandin essential oils obtained in France as an example. One French lavandin oil sample showed the results of AV= 0.9 by both indicator method and potentiometry. Another sample showed AV = 1.9 by indicator method and AV = 1.6 by potentiometry. Latter lavandin oil sample exhibited significantly higher acid value than maximum value of 1 described in the standard. This result suggests that latter lavandin oil was contaminated, because this oil was contained in an orange juice bottle. Results of this study proved that KS H ISO 1242 could be used as a suitable scientific standard for the determination of acid value of essential oils.
A Narrowband Active Noise Control System With Frequency Corrector

<P>The performance of narrowband active noise control (ANC) systems degenerates significantly under the frequency mismatch between the synthesized reference signal and the primary noise. This paper proposes a new narrowband ANC system that incorporates a frequency corrector for the internal reference signal generator to mitigate the ill-effects caused by the frequency mismatch. The proposed frequency estimator uses the iterative frequency estimation algorithm based on the minimum variance distortionless response spectrum that has advantages of accuracy and fast convergence. The performance of the new narrowband ANC system is analyzed under the conditions of frequency mismatch and the secondary-path phase estimation error. The frequency and amplitude of the primary noise are modeled as time-varying variables in the theoretical analysis. Computer simulations are conducted to demonstrate the performance of the new ANC system and to verify the analysis results.</P>

<P>This paper proposes a new differential-detection scheme for IEEE 802.15.4 BPSK receivers. The proposed detection scheme derives not only the decision variables for data detection but also a timing signal ready for synchronization by a simple technique. A receiver architecture based on the new detection scheme is then proposed. Based on simulation results on the receiver performance, it is shown that with a conventional radio-frequency front end the receiver could meet at a big margin the sensitivity requirement of the IEEE 802.15.4 standard.</P>

This paper proposes a new audio compression algorithm based on an inter-frame and an intra-frame modeling methods. The characteristics of a short period of time and spectrum are modeled as modeling parameters to maximize the compression ratio. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has feasibility of high compression and high quality.
