A drone has recently got attention as an instrument for weather observation in loweratmosphere because it can produce the high spatiotemporal resolution weather data even thoughthe weather phenomenon is inaccessible. Sea fog is a weather phenomenon occurred in loweratmosphere, and has observational limitations because it occurs on the sea. Therefore, goal ofthis study is to analyze the vertical structures about inflow, development and dispersion of seafog using the high-resolution weather data with the meteorological sensor-equipped drone. Thisstudy observed sea fogs in the west coast of the Korean peninsula from March to October 2021and investigated one sea fog inflowed into the coast on June 8th 2021. θe – qv diagrams (θe:equivalent potential temperature, qv: water vapor ratio) and vertical wind structures wereanalyzed. At inflow of sea fog, moist adiabatically stable layer was formed in 0–300 m andprevailing wind was switched from south-southwesterly to west-southwesterly under 120 m. Both changes are favorable for sea fog on the location. θe and qv plummeted in a layer 0–183m. The inflowed sea fog developed from 183 m to 327 m by mixing with ambient atmosphereon top of sea fog. Also, strong mechanical turbulence near ground drove a vertical mixing understable layer. At dispersion of sea fog, as θe on ground gradually increased, air conditionwas changed to neutral. Evaporation occurred on both bottom and top in sea fog. These resultsinduced dissipation of sea fog.

Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the effect of physiotherapy on the range of motion (ROM) of patients with hemophilic arthropathy after total knee replacement (TKR) during treadmill gait. Method: Nineteen patients (age range, 30-61 years) who received physiotherapy at the Korea Hemophilia Foundation (KHF) Clinic in Seoul between 2011 and 2013 after TKR were recruited. Protocol rehabilitation was performed (KHF Clinic, Department of Physiotherapy) with an average follow-up of 70 days (range, 6-141 days). Result: Physiotherapy after TKR improved the ROM parameters, including the post-operative average ROM. The post-operative and follow-up ROM also significantly increased. Conclusion: Patients with hemophilia require different physiotherapeutic techniques and need dedicated post-operative care in comparison with the general population.

Intermittent pneumatic compression device is a standard component for prevention of deep venous thrombosis in immobile patients. This method has been known to be safe with very low rate of complications compared to medical thromboprophylaxis. Therefore, this modality has been used widely in patients who underwent a general surgery. We report a patient who developed common peroneal nerve palsy during the use of intermittent pneumatic compression device after Hartmann’s operation.

A prototype stainless steel needle (Hamilton 90022, 22 gauge, 718 µm o.d., 413 µm i.d., 51 mm length, bevel tip) packed with polyacrylic acid (PAA) and polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) mixture (7:3 ratio) having a micro-bore tunnel (290 µm i.d., ca. 61.5 µm thickness, 10 mm length) was newly prepared as a device of headspace in-needle microextraction (HS-INME). Design of the needle, optimization of adsorption, desorption parameters, and validation of analytical methods were conducted to evaluate the HS-INME efficiency for volatile organic compounds. The optimized adsorption conditions were 60 °C for 20 min and desorption conditions were 240 °C for 2 min. The calibration curves showed good linearity with the squared correlation coefficient value (r2) over 0.99. The limit of detection for linalool, (+)-limonene, and eugenol were 13.5, 10.9, and 9.1 ng while limit of quantification were 45.1, 36.4, and 30.5 ng, respectively. The recovery results showed the acceptable range between 95.6 and 115.3%. The relative standard deviations for intra- and inter-assay showed the values less than 10%. It was applied to analyze seven essential oils for polar and nonpolar volatile aroma compounds successfully. From the results obtained in this study, HS-INME was advantageous to low cost due to ease of fabrication, reuse without loss of absorbent or reduction of extraction efficiency, and no use of solvent. In conclusion, a needle packed with PAA and PDMS mixture having a micro-bore tunnel is a new development of INME that may complement the shortcomings of the current headspace extraction methods.

해무는 해상에서 발생하는 안개로 선박 및 항공의 안전한 운항을 위하여 정확한 예측이 필요하다. 해무의 예측 정확도를 높이기 위해서는 관측을 통한 해무의 메커니즘에 대한 이해가 필수적이다. 하지만, 해무는 해상의 대기 최하층에서 발생하여 관측에 한계가 있다. 최근 국립기상과학원은 드론에 기상 센서를 탑재하여 이동형 관측장비로 활용하고 있으며, 대기 최하층 연직 구조에 대한 고해상도의 시·공간 자료를 생산하는 시도를 하고 있다. 본 연구는 해무 관측의 한계를 극복하기 위해 통합 기상센서(Vaisala, WXT536)를 탑재한 드론(DJI, Matrice600Pro)을 활용하여 해무(연안안개) 연직 관측을 수행하였으며 이를 통해 고해상도의 해무(연안안개) 자료를 생산하였다. 본 연구의 분석 사례로는 충청남도 태안군 학암포에서 발생한 2021년 6월 8일 사례로 0620 0730LST까지 1km 미만(최저 166.86m)의 저시정이 관측되었다. 드론 관측방법은 일출 후~해무 소산 시까지 1.5ms<SUP>-1</SUP>의 연직 속도로 최대 500m 고도까지 상승하여 관측하였다. 해무의 메커니즘을 이해하기 위해 상당온위(θϵ)와 수증기 혼합비(qv)를 산출하여 분석하였다(Paluch diagram 활용). 해무 시작 전, θϵ와 qv가 점차 감소하다 해무 시작 시 특히 지면 근처에서 급격히 감소하였다. 이는 남서풍에 의한 습윤 공기의 이류로 대기가 냉각·응결되고 있음을 의미하고, θϵ와 qv의 급격한 감소는 위성 영상을 통해 이미 앞바다에서 발생한 해무가 유입된 것으로 확인하였다. 고도에 따라 θϵ와 qv는 점차 증가하다 경계층에서 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 경계층에서 장파복사냉각에 의한 증발효과로 보여지며 이러한 변곡점을 통해 해무의 두께와 정도를 수치화 할 수 있을 것으로 생각된다. 더불어 본 연구에서는 바람의 연직 구조와 직교성을 분석하여 해무에 미치는 영향에 대해서도 논의할 것이다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to assess how much neurac technic affects the stability muscles of the shoulder according to the supporting surface in crawling position. Method: 29 healthy adult males participated in this experiment. The experiment consists of 2 experimental groups and 1 control group. It is conducted for 3 weeks. Each group exercised for 7 seconds and then rested for 3 seconds. Using EMG, the average value of serratus anterior, upper trapezius, and lower trapezius was repeated three times. Experimental group 1 conducted push up plus exercise applied neurac technic with sling on unstable supporting surface. Experimental group 2 conducted push up plus exercise applied neurac technic with sling on stable supporting surface. Control group conducted the push up plus exercise on stable supporting surface. One-way ANOVA was used for statistical analysis. Result: It was noticeable that the result of Experimental group 1 affects stability muscles of more than Experimental group 2 and Control group. Conclusion: Push up plus position applied neurac technic with sling on unstable supporting surface was the most effective in activating the stability muscles of the shoulder.
