        감마선 조사와 푸코이단/라미나린 병용처리가 돈육 패티의 품질에 미치는 영향

        The objective of this study was investigated to apply the fucoidan and laminarin extract from low-grade Undaria pinnatifida to real food product, a pork patty. Pork patties added with fucoidan and laminarin showed lower lipid oxidation and the inhibition against lipid oxidation was shown to be dependent on the irradiation doses. The Hunter color values of pork patty added with fucoidan increased significantly with an increase of irradiation dose. The hardness profiles of the patties with fucoidan and laminarin was decreased, but the amount of water in the patties was increased. Also, the combination of gamma irradiation and addition of fucoidan and laminarin was shown to be effective for the microbiological control. These results suggested that gamma irradiation and fucoidan and laminarin treatment showed the positive effect on microbial stability and quality of the pork patty.

        평택시 군용비행장 주변지역 주민건강조사

        Objectives : We conducted an epidemiologic survey to evaluate the effect of the aircraft noise exposure on the health of the residents near the military airbases in Pyeongtaek City. Methods : The evaluation of environmental noise level, questionnaire survey, and health examination were performed for 917 residents. The study population consisted of four groups: subjects who lived in the village close to the fighter airbase (high exposure), subjects who lived along the course of fighters (intermediate exposure), and subjects near a helicopter airbase, and the control group. Results : The prevalence of the aircraft noise related accident and irritable bowel syndrome in the exposure groups were higher than that of the control group. The risks of noise induced hearing loss, hypertension and diabetes mellitus were higher in the exposed groups than in the control group. The prevalence of anxiety disorder and primary insomnia were higher in the exposed groups than in the control group. Prevalence odd ratios of the risk for primary insomnia after adjusting age, sex, agricultural noise, and occupation were 4.03 [95% confidence interval (95% Cl) 1.56-10.47] for the subject near the helicopter airbase, 1.23 (95% Cl 0.40-3.76) for those intermediately exposed to fighter noise, and 4.99 (95% Cl 2.14-11.64) for those highly exposed to fighter noise. Conclusions : The results of the present study suggest that the aircraft noise may have adverse effects on hearing function, cardiovascular health and mental health. Therefore, it seems to be needed to take proper measures including the control of the aircraft noise and the management of the exposed people's health.

        산지하천에서 빛가 초식에 의한 부착조류의 생체량변화

        Effects of light and grazing on the biomass development of periphyton were evaluated using natural and artificial substrata (unglazed tile: 3.7×9.5x2cm) in a partially shaded 2nd order mountain stream. In open canopy (relative light input 20∼50%), a relatively high biomass (chl. a: 9.5±3.0 mg/m^2, n=25) was maintained than that of closed canopy(<6% of light input. 3.2±0.9 mg/m^2, n= 17). Due to shading and frequent rainfalls, biomass was lower during the summer than in the spring and winter. During the spring, colonization of periphyton on artificial substrata occurred faster than in winter and it took a minimum of 5∼6 weeks to reach the biomass of natural substrata (8∼9mg/m^2). When snails were allowed to freely enter the chamber (mean density: 114 ind./m^2) with artificial substrata, biomass accumulation (chl. a, AFDW) was low compared to the snail excluded enclosure (50∼90% of ungrazed substrata). It was concluded that the light input on periphyton biomass In a partially shaded stream played a more important role than glazing.

        CIS 고려인 디아스포라 소설 연구

        This study aims to examine the general trend of novels written by Soviet-Korean in C I S. Soviet-Koreans in this Central Asian area have moved from the Far Eastern area of Russia by the enforcement of the Stalinian policy of deportation in 1937. The authors have written a number of novels describing the life of diaspora experienced by Korean residents. To be more specific, the main focus of these novels is centered onto the issues such as the adaptation to the socialist system, the discord or accord with the different nation, the self-identity, and so on. The representative authors and their works are as follow: Seil Kim`s HongBeomDo and Jun Kim`s A happening of one hundred and fifty thousand won that depict the heros of anti-Japanese fight, Gicheol Kim`s When red stars were seen and a group works, The melody of Syrdarya that praise the socialism, sunflower and ``자말러, you are my life that treat the agony of identity as Koreans in a foreign country, and several works of Anatoli Kim and Lee-Jin that reflect the times of the various open door, On the whole, each novel expresses successfully the scenes of life with a different ideology and in the unfamiliar environment and embodies such troubles adequately into the form of literature. However, there also exist some problems of the plain development of plot. the dichotomic way of thinking, the excessive exposure of the theme, and so forth. After the collapse of the Soviet Union around 1990. a rapid conversion of direction toward modernism has occurred. With the opening of the exchange gate between Korea and CIS, there have been many changes in the content and publication of the works. More extensive research is needed.

        제주도의 돼지유행성설사 발생 상황과 병리학적 고찰

        From April 2014 to September 2015, 153 piglets from 52 farms in Jeju were diagnosed with porcine epidemic diarrhea (PED). The major PED cases were focused on suckling piglets (144 piglets, 94.1%), particularly in 1-7-day-old piglets. Histopathologically, severe villous atrophy was observed in the small intestine, especially in the jejunum and ileum. The mean villous height to crypt depth ratios of the jejunum and ileum were 1.4:1 and 1.5:1, respectively. The major histopathologic findings of the small intestine were cytoplasmic vacuolation, cuboidalization, squamation, and exfoliation of the mucosal enterocytes in the villi. The cytoplasmic vacuolations in the enterocytes were the most prevalent lesions in the small intestine and were more severe in the ileum than in the jejunum. According to immunohistochemistry methods, the PED virus (PEDV) antigens were presented in the cytoplasms of the enterocytes, and were distributed more prevalently in the ileum than in the jejunum. PEDV antigens were also detected in the colon of 26 piglets (19.5%). Sequence comparison and phylogenetic analysis indicated that 12 PEDV had more than a 98.9% homology with each other. These PEDV strains were highly homologous with the genogroup 2 North American group.

        작은뾰족민달팽이(Deroceras reticulatum)의 발육과 수명에 미치는 온도효과

        $24^{\circ}C$에서 작은뾰족민달팽이의 알 크기 (단경$\times$장경)는 $1.91{\times}2.19$ mm, 무게는 3.3 mg 이었다. 산란 직후의 알에서부터 발육하여 우화한 성체가 최초 산란 시까지 17주간의 무게는 발육일수가 경과할수록 증가하였으며, 온도별 무게는 $20^{\circ}C$에서 가장 무거웠으며, 다음은 24, 16 및 $28^{\circ}C$ 순이었다. 작은뾰족민달팽이가 산란한 난괴수의 부화율은 $20^{\circ}C$에서 95%로 가장 높았으며, 다음은 24, 16 및 $28^{\circ}C$의 순으로 유의한 차이가 있었다. 난괴당 알수는 $20^{\circ}C$에서 20개로 가장 많았으며 $28^{\circ}C$에서 10개로 가장 적었다. 누적 산란 일수는 $20^{\circ}C$에서 15일로 가장 길었으며, $24^{\circ}C$에서 9일로 가장 짧았고, 산란기간은 84~134일로 $16^{\circ}C$에서 가장 짧았으며, $20^{\circ}C$에서 가장 길었다. 그리하여 총 산란수는 $20^{\circ}C$에서 217개로 가장 많았고, $16^{\circ}C$에서 105개로 가장 적었다. 작은뾰족민달팽이의 알기간은 12~19일, 유체기간은 51~68일, 성체수명은 85~134일 이었으며, 알에서부터 성체수명까지의 총 생존기간은 $20^{\circ}C$에서 216일로 가장 길었으며, 다음은 $24^{\circ}C$에서 193일, $16^{\circ}C$에서 170일 및 $28^{\circ}C$에서 151일 순 이었다. 따라서 작은뾰족민달팽이의 산란, 발육 및 성체수명에 가장 유리한 온도는 $20^{\circ}C$로 여겨졌다. The egg size and weight of the gray field slug, Deroceras reticulatum Muller, was $1.91{\times}2.19$ mm and 3.3 mg at $24^{\circ}C$, respectively. Its weight increased from newly laid eggs to adults for 17 weeks at four temperature regimes and was heaviest at $20^{\circ}C$, followed by 24, 16 and $28^{\circ}C$. Likewise, hatching rate of the egg batches was highest with 95% at $20^{\circ}C$, followed by 24, 16 and $28^{\circ}C$ with significant differences. The number of eggs in the batches was increased with 20 at $20^{\circ}C$ while it was only 10 at $28^{\circ}C$. The average accumulated egg-laying days was longest with 15 days at $20^{\circ}C$ while shortest with 9 days at $24^{\circ}C$. The range of egg-laying period was shortest with 84-134 days at $16^{\circ}C$ and longest at $20^{\circ}C$. Thus, the total number of eggs laid by adult D. reticulatum was highest with 217 at $20^{\circ}C$ and lowest with 105 at $16^{\circ}C$. The egg period was 12-19 days while the juvenile period and adult longevity were 51-68 days and 85-134 days, respectively. The life span of D. reticulatum from egg to adult was longest with 216 days at $20^{\circ}C$, followed by 193 days at $24^{\circ}C$, 170 days at $16^{\circ}C$ and 151 days at $28^{\circ}C$. Accordingly, the most favorable temperature for the oviposition, development and longevity of D. reticulatum is $20^{\circ}C$.

        Semliki Forest Virus 감염은 뉴우런의 탈수초를 유발한다

        척수신경절의 신경 세포와 슈반세포의 공동 배양으로 수초화 형성 세포 집단이 제조되었다. 슈반세포와 뉴런 세포가 쥐의 배아의 척수신경절로 부터 각각 in vitro에서 분리되었다. 배양된 슈반세포와 뉴런 세포는 동일한 평판접시에서 공동배양 되었다. 본 실험과정은 다음과 같은 4 단계로 구성되어 있다 : 첫 번째 단계는 배아의 척수 신경절 세포의 현탁 과정, 두 번째 단계는 안티 mitotic cocktail의 추가 과정, 세 번째 단계는 척수신경절 세포의 정제 과정, 및 네 번째 단계는 척추 신경절 세포에 슈반 세포의 추가 과정이다. 이들 세포들은 때 수초화가 진행되었다. 이렇게 수초화된 공동 배양은 Semliki forest virus에 의해 감염되었고 그 때 탈수초화 과정을 유발시켰다. 우리는 수초화된 뉴런에 존재하는 peripheral myelin protein 22의 항체를 이용하여 수초화 과정과 탈수초화 과정을 확인하였다. We constructed a population of myelinated cells with co-culture of neuronal cells and Schwann cells from DRG. Schwann cells and neuronal cells were isolated from dorsal root ganglion (DRG) in embryos of rat in vitro respectively. The cultured Schwann cells and cultured neuronal cells, respectively were co-cultured in a same plate. This procedure contains following four steps: first step of suspension of the embryonic dorsal root ganglion cells, second step of addition of anti-mitoticcocktail, third step of purification of dorsal root cells, and fourth step of addition of Schwann cells to dorsal root ganglion cells. These cells were performed accomplishment of myelination. This myelinated co-culture system was infected by Semliki forest virus and then induced demyelination processing in this myelinated co-culture. We identified myelination and demyelination processing using antibody of peripheral myelin protein 22 (PMP 22) meaning presence of myelinated neuron.
