Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of computerized neurocognitive function program on cognitive function about memory and attention with stroke. Methods: 24subjects with stroke were recruited. Twelve of subjects received conventional therapy including physical therapy, occupational therapy and language therapy. Another subjects received additional computer assisted cognitive training using Computer-aided Cognitive rehabilitation training system(COMCOG, MaxMedica Inc., 2004). All patients were assessed their cognitive function of memory and attention using Computerized Neurocognitive Function Test(CNT, MaxMedica Inc., 2004) before treatment and 6 weeks after treatment. Results: Before the treatment, two groups showed no difference in cognitive function(p>0.05). After 6 weeks, two groups showed significantly difference in digit span (forward, backward), verbal learning(A5, $A1{\sim}A5$), auditory CPT(n), visual CPT(n)(p<0.05). After treatment, the experimental group showed a significant improvement of digit span(forward, backward), verbal learning(A5, $A1{\sim}A5$), visual span (forward, backward), auditory CPT(n, sec), visual CPT(n, sec), and trail-making (A, B)(p<0.05). Conclusion: Computerized neurocognitive function program would be improved cognitive function of memory and attention in patients with stoke.

An interaction between ribosomal protein S3 (rpS3) and nuclear factor kappa B or macrophage migration inhibitory factor in non-small-cell lung cancer is responsible for radioresistance. However, the role of rpS3 in glioblastoma (GBM) has not been investigated to date. Here we found that in irradiated GBM cells, rpS3 translocated into the nucleus and was subsequently ubiquitinated by ring finger protein 138 (RNF138). Ubiquitin-dependent degradation of rpS3 consequently led to radioresistance in GBM cells. To elucidate the apoptotic role of rpS3, we analyzed the interactome of rpS3 in ΔRNF138 GBM cells. Nuclear rpS3 interacted with DNA damage inducible transcript 3 (DDIT3), leading to DDIT3-induced apoptosis in irradiated ΔRNF138 GBM cells. These results were confirmed using in vivo orthotopic xenograft models and GBM patient tissues. This study aims to clarify the role of RNF138 in GBM cells and demonstrate that rpS3 may be a promising substrate of RNF138 for the induction of GBM radioresistance, indicating RNF138 as a potential target for GBM therapy.

The purpose of this study was to have group walk on a treadmill using Nordic pole walking and general walking for 30 minutes to see the degrees of changes in foot pressure. The subjects of this study 23 young adult males who voluntarily consented to participate in the study and had no disease history or any problem with walking. The subjects were divided into Nordic pole walking group of 11 subjects and general walking group of 12 subjects. The subjects in both groups were encouraged to face forward and walk in comfortable postures on the treadmill. The subjects in both groups did not wear any shoes during walking and the speed of the treadmill was set to the average of the speeds at which the subjects could comfortably walk in both groups. The foot pressure was measured three times. The mean value was calculated for the analysis. In the F3, F5, and R1 regions, the plantar pressure was significantly increased but there was no significant difference foot regions. The results of this study indicating that plantar pressure was changed by nordic pole walking. It considered to make normal gait pattern on foot.

Purpose:This study was performed to understand the relationship between hand and mouth shapes using functional magnetic resonance imaging(fMRI). Methods:Two healthy volunteers without any previous history of physical or neurological illness were recruited. fMRI was done that volunteers was 6 repeated of natural mouth, close mouth and open mouth while power grip and pinch grip movement. Results:Cerebral cortex activation was not well observed for the natural mouth during the power grip exercise. For the closed mouth, the temporal lobe, Broca`s area, the prefrontal area related to thinking and judgment, the supplementary motor area, the auditory area and Wernicke`s area were activated. For the open mouth, cortical activation was also observed in the temporal lobe, Wernicke`s area, the prefrontal area related to thinking and the orbital frontal area related to visual sense. During the pinch grip exercise, cortical activation was observed for the natural mouth in the primary sensory area, Wernicke`s area, the primary and supplementary motor area, and the prefrontal area. For the closed mouth, cortical activation was observed in the temporal lobe, Wernicke`s area, the prefrontal area related to thinking, the secondary visual area, the primary sensory area and the supplementary motor area. In the case of the open mouth, cortical activation was observed in a few parts in the temporal lobe as well as Wernicke`s area, the prefrontal area related to thinking, and other areas related to visual sense such as the primary visual area, the secondary visual area and the visual association area. Conclusion:Brain was more activation for close mouth and open mouth more than natural mouth movement.

본 논문은 마스크 방식의 관심 영역(ROI, Region Of Interest) 부호 설계와 구현에 대하여 제시한다. 관심 영역에 대한 정지 영상 압축 알고리즘은 웨이블릿 변환과 사용자가 지정한 관심 영역을 결합하여 설계하였다. 즉, 사용자가 지정한 관심 영역을 이용하여 관심 영역 마스크를 생성한다. 양자화 과정에서 웨이블릿 계수들을 각 레벨과 서브밴드로 구분하고 생성된 관심 영역 마스크 정보를 이용하여 양자화 과정을 처리하여 부호화한다. 관심 영역에 대하여서는 높은 영상 품질과 그리고 전체 영상에 대하여서는 높은 압축을 동시에 실현시킬 수 있는 마스크 방식의 관심 영역 부호화 알고리즘을 설계하고 구현하였다.

This paper presents the fabrication and performance measurement of a temperature sensor array on a flexible substrate attachable to a curved surface using MEMS technology. Specifically, the fabrication uses the well-developed printed circuit board fabrication technology for complex electrode definition. The temperature sensor array are lifted off with a 10×10 matrix in a 50×50 mm to visualize temperature distribution. Copper is used as temperature sensing material to measure the change in resistances with temperature increase. In a thermal oven with temperature control, the temperature sensor array is characterized. The constant slope of resistance change is obtained and temperature distribution is measured from the relationship between resistance and temperature. A photonic crystal fiber with two large air holes outside the holey cladding region is fabricated to induce an effective long periodic grating (LPG) in the core by an electric arc discharge. We believe that the two large air holes lead to the asymmetric perturbation in the core under the electric arc discharge, thereby introducing the coupling to the first higher-order mode. The transmission characteristics of the PCF with the LPG for the external perturbation such as strain, curvature, and temperature are also investigated. It was found that the shift of resonance peak in the transmission spectrum depends on the bending direction. The curvature of 8.55 m-1 results in the center wavelength shifts of 1.8, 4.3, and 11 nm for a vertical, diagonal, and horizontal direction of the curvature to the large air-hole alignment, respectively.

본 연구는 노르딕 폴을 이용하여 걷기운동을 했을 때 피부 온도에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 건강한 성인을 대상으로 노르딕걷기와 일반걷기를 60분간 진행하였으며 디지털 적외선 체열 측정기로 전신의 전면, 후면의 초기 온도, 운동 시작 후 20분, 40분, 60분에 측정하였다. 측정 결과 노르딕걷기와 일반걷기를 하는 동안 상지, 체간, 하지의 체열은 감소하는 경향을 보였고, 노르딕걷기는 일반걷기 보다 온도 감소가 뚜렷하게 나타난 것으로 보아 노르딕 걷기는 하지의 부하(loading stress)를 줄여주어 준 다는 것을 알 수 있었다.
