        안와골절 수술 후 발생한 두 가지 상피세포를 가진 안와 점액낭종 1예

        Purpose: The authors report a case of orbital mucocele lined with two types of histological epithelial cells developed after repair of the orbital wall fractures. Case summary: A 53-year-old man presented with proptosis of the left eye for two years. The patient had a history of left orbital inferomedial wall fracture repair ten years earlier at a different hospital. Examination revealed 4 mm proptosis and superior globe displacement of the left eye. Restriction of left ocular movements on elevation, depression and adduction were observed. A computed tomography scan demonstrated a large, non-enhancing, cystic tumor in the left inferior orbit with the inferior and medial wall displaced toward the paranasal sinus. An orbital cystic tumor was excised with the removal of previously-inserted orbital implant via a transconjunctival and transcaruncular approach. The inferior, and medial orbital walls were reconstructed using a MEDPOR® TITANTM implant. The initial pathologic diagnosis was epidermal cyst. Histopathologic re-review revealed an orbital cyst lined with both stratified squamous epithelium and pseudostratified ciliated columnar epithelium, thus diagnosis was changed to orbital mucocele. Proptosis and restriction in ocular motility improved postoperatively. Conclusions: Mucocele formation should be considered in patients in whom a cyst developed after orbital fracture repair.

        Sn-Bi도금 $Sn-3.5\%Ag$ 솔더를 이용한 Capacitor의 저온 솔더링

        Since lead (Pb)-free solders for electronics have higher melting points than that of eutectic Sn-Pb solder, they need higher soldering temperatures. In order to decrease the soldering temperature we tried to coat Sn-Bi layer on $Sn-3.5\%Ag$ solder by electroplating, which applies the mechanism of transient liquid phase bonding to soldering. During heating Bi will diffuse into the $Sn-3.5\%Ag$ solder and this results in decreasing soldering temperature. As bonding samples, the 1608 capacitor electroplated with Sn, and PCB, its surface was finished with electroless-plated Ni/Au, were selected. The $Sn-95.7\%Bi$ coated Sn-3.5Ag was supplied as a solder between the capacitor and PCB land. The samples were reflowed at $220^{\circ}C$, which was lower than that of normal reflow temperature, $240\~250^{\circ}C$, for the Pb-free. As experimental result, the joint of $Sn-95.7\%Bi$ coated Sn-3.5Ag showed high shear strength. In the as-reflowed state, the shear strength of the coated solder showed 58.8N, whereas those of commercial ones were 37.2N (Sn-37Pb), 31.4N (Sn-3Ag-0.5Cu), and 40.2N (Sn-8Zn-3Bi). After thermal shock of 1000 cycles between $-40^{\circ}C$ and $+125^{\circ}C$, shear strength of the coated solder showed 56.8N, whereas the previous commercial solders were in the range of 32.3N and 45.1N. As the microstructures, in the solder $Ag_3Sn$ intermetallic compound (IMC), and along the bonded interface $Ni_3Sn_4$ IMC were observed.

        헤지의 표준화된 평균차를 이용한 프로폴리스의 항-당뇨 효과

        The present study was carried out to summarize the effect of propolis in the diabetic rats by meta-analysis related studies. The association measure to test effect of propolis was Hedges's standardized mean difference between group of rats induced streptozotocin(STZ) or alloxan and group of rats induced STZ or alloxan treated with propolis about the considered 4 effect factors. In this particular fixed-effect model, blood glucose, Cholesterol, Triglyceride were significantly reduce. The case of heterogenous variable such as body weight, blood glucose, cholesterol, triglyceride, random-effect model was applied. In this model, blood glucose, triglyceride were decreased significantly in propolis treated group. According to the meta-regression analysis, period of injection was significant for body weight and blood glucose, cholesterol.

        In vitro Screening of Jeju Island Plants for Cosmetic Ingredients

        To identify new active cosmetic ingredients of natural origin, we screened the biological activities of 50 different kinds of plants from Jeju Island, the southernmost island of the Korean Peninsula. In this study, plant extracts were screened for inhibitory effects on elastase, nitric oxide, and melanin production, and for free radical scavenging effects. Eight plants, Viburnum erosum Thunb., Trachelospermum asiaticum var. intermedium Nakai, Sageretia theezans Brongn., Sorbus alnifolia var. hirtella T. Lee, Staphylea bumalda DC., Pourthicea villosa var. brunnea Nak., Illicium religiosum S. et Z., and Castanopsis cuspidata var. sieboldii Nakai were potent inhibitors of elastase (over 80% inhibition at 1 mg/mL). Elaeocarpus sylvestris var. Ellipticus (Thunb.) Hara ($IC_{50}$: $13.99{\mu}g/mL$), Sapium sebiferum (L.) ROXB. ($IC_{50}$: $14.27{\mu}g/mL$), and Castanopsis cuspidata var. sieboldii Nakai ($IC_{50}$: $16.46{\mu}g/mL$) showed good antioxidant effects. Eurya japonica Thunb., Quercus myrsinaefolia Bl., Caesalpinia decapetala var. japonica (S. et Z.) Ohashi, Weigela subsessilis L. H. Bailey, and Crinum asiaticum var. japonicum dose-dependently inhibited LPS-induced NO production on RAW 264.7 cells (at $50-200{\mu}g/mL$). Furthermore, Elaeocarpus sylvestris var. Ellipticus (Thunb.) Hara, Ilex integra Thunb., and Agastache rugosa (Fisch. et Meyer) O. Kuntze dose-dependently inhibited ${\alpha}-MSH$ stimulated melanin synthesis on B16 F10 cells (at $25-100{\mu}g/mL$). These results suggest that Jeju Island plants possess several biological activities and may be potent anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, skin-whitening, and anti-oxidative ingredients as functional cosmetic materials.

        차량 내 MOST Network를 이용한 지능형 Navigation 구현

        최근 편의성, 안전성, 편리성 등의 키워드가 자동차 시장에서 새로운 화두로 등장하면서 자동차 시장에서 차량 내 전장부분의 중요성이 커지고 있다. 이에 따라 많은 전자기기의 사용이 필수적으로 요구되어지면서 전자기기들 간의 통신이 부각되어지고 있다. 차량 내부에서는 컨트롤러, 센서, 그리고 멀티미디어 기기인 오디오, 스피커, 비디오, 네비게이션 등 다양한 장치들이 CAN이나 MOST와 같은 차량 네트워크를 통해 연결되어 있다. 현재 차량 네트워크는 서로 각각의 목적에 따라 운용되고 관리되어 지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 MOST Network를 이용하여 최근의 키워드가 되고 있는 편의성, 안전성, 편리성 등을 고려한 지능형 자동차에 요구되는 Navigation을 구현하여 차량 내 CAN Network를 제어하는 시스템을 제시하고자 한다. Lately, in the automotive market appeared keywords such as convenience, safety in presentation and increase importance of pan of vehicle. Accordingly, the use of many electronic devices was required essentially and communication between electronic devices is being highlighted. Various devices such as controllers, sensors and multimedia device(audio, speakers, video, navigation) in-vehicle connected car network such as CAN, MOST. Modem in-vehicle network managed and operated as purpose of each other. In this Paper, intelligent car navigation considering convenience and safety implement on MOST Network and present system to control CAN Network in vehicle.

        2007년 서울 지역에서 판매되고 있는 반찬류의 세균 오염과 항생제 내성실태

        The purpose of this research was to investigate the microbiological quality and antimicrobial susceptibilities of the ready-to-eat side dishes, which are were collected from the grocery stores, big markets, and department stores in Seoul throughout November, 2007. Of total 124 samples, presence of staphylococci and enteric bacilli was observed in 38 samples (31%) and 53 samples (43%), respectively. And 30 samples (24%) were shown to be of unsatisfactory quality for total bacterial count (>$10^5$). Antimicrobial susceptibilities of the staphylococci isolated from the side dishes were tested for six different antimicrobial agents, which are in widespread clinical use in Korea, as well as four new antimicrobials, daptomycin, linezolid, quinupristin/dalfopristin and tigecycline. As a result, the staphylococcal isolates were found to be resistant to oxacillin (${MIC}_{90}$, >128 ${\mu}g$/ml), teicoplanin (${MIC}_{90}$, >128 ${\mu}g$/ml), mupirocin (${MIC}_{90}$, >128 ${\mu}g$/ml), linezolid (${MIC}_{90}$, 128 ${\mu}g$/ ml) and quinupristin/dalfopristin (${MIC}_{90}$, 32 ${\mu}g$/ml). Especially, some of the staphylococcal isolates exhibited high level and multi-drug resistance. Moreover, these bacteria were also resistant to new antimicrobials, except tigecycline.

        망막에서 기인한 기형성 수질상피종 1예

        Purpose: To report a rare case of medulloepithelioma originating from the retina. Case summary: A nine-year-old boy visited our clinic with conjunctival injection and decreased visual acuity in the left eye, which had developed two month previously. Slit lamp examination revealed a distorted pupil and an anteriorly protruding ciliary body displacing the peripheral iris toward the cornea on the inferonasal side. Funduscopic examination showed total retinal detachment accompanied by an inferior hypervascular mass. The examination of the right eye was unremarkable. On computer tomography imaging, a calcified mass was identified behind the iris of the left globe in the inferomedial aspect, and ultrasound biomicroscopy revealed a medium to high echogenic tumor with an uneven oval cystic cavity in the ciliary body. At the follow-up examination, the size of the mass was increased, so we performed enucleation of the left eye. Pathology demonstrated that the retrolental mass abutting the lens had arisen from the retina. Histological examination revealed that the tumor had originated from the retina and extended into the ciliary body, and most of the tumor was composed of hyaline cartilage with calicification. Tumor cells were identified in the periphery, forming elongated tubules and cord-like structures that were immunohistochemically positive for vimentin, neuron-specific enolase, and CD56 compatible with a teratoid medulloepithelioma. The patient was followed up for eight months without any metastasis in the orbit or elsewhere. Conclusions: Medulloepithelioma should be considered in the differential diagnosis of pediatric orbital mass accompanied by calcification. J Korean Ophthalmol Soc 2010;51(12):1665-1670

        IP 네트워크에서 IPTV 방송 화질에 관한 연구

        최근 멀티미디어 콘텐츠가 빠르게 확산되고, 초고속 광대역 IP 네트워크 기술이 발전하면서 통신과 방송의 독자적 개별 서비스가 서로 공존하여 통합융합 서비스로 진화발전하고 있다. 대표적 방송/통신 융합 서비스인 IPTV는 통합융합서비스의 가장 강력한 응용분야이며, IPTV와 같은 서비스들이 증가함으로 인해 다양한 인터넷 서비스를 구현하기 위해서 인터넷 프로토콜을 통한 고화질의 데이터 처리에 대한관심이 통신업계의 화두로 등장하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 소규모에서 사용되는 표준 라우팅 프로토콜인, RIP 환경과 대규모 자율 네트워크에서 사용되는 링크 상태 라우팅 프로토콜인, OSPF 환경을 구현하여 IPTV 서비스 중에서 방송 화질의 PSNR값으로 성능을 측정하고 평가하여 효율적인 IPTV 서비스를 위한 네트워크 구축 방안을 제시하고자 한다. The multimedia contents are diffused rapidly. Also, the course individual service of communication and broadcasting coexists with each other and develop to the integrated fusion service with development of the high speed broadband IP network technology. The IPTV which is representative broadcasting a communication total service is the powerful application field. The communication industry has been interested in data processing of the high-definition that supports many kinds of internet service by internet protocol. In this paper, we configure the standard routing protocol use in the small scaled, on RIP environment and the link status routing protocol use the large scale autonomous network, on OSPF environment. We also measure and evaluate broadcasting quality by PSNR(Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio). Finally, we propose the network construction plan for IPTV services which are efficient.

        수확 후 제주 당근 재배 토양에서 Xanthomonas hortorum pv. carotae 분리

        당근 세균잎마름병은 세계적으로 가장 중요한 병에 속한다. 지난 10년 전 국내에서 처음 발견됨으로써 당근 생산에 큰 위협이 되는 병으로 간주되었다. 원인균으로 Xathomonas hortorum pv. carotae (Xhc)이며 본 연구는 제주도 당근재배지 토양에서 이 병원균을 분리 동정하고자 수행하였다. 분리한 세균 중 인공배지에서 균총의 형태가 당근 세균잎마름병균과 유사한 세균균총을 분리하여 선발하였다. 또한 이들 선발된 세균들을 대상으로 DNA 염기 서열과 NCBI 자료를 통해 몇몇 분리 세균이 Xhc으로 동정되었다. 게다가 이들 세균을 당근 잎에 접종하였더니 당근 세균잎마름병의 전형적인 병징이 나타났다. 본 연구 결과는 제주도 토양내 Xhc의 존재 가능성을 시사하고 앞으로의 당근 세균잎마름병 방제 수단을 강구하는 데 매우 필요한 자료로서 가치가 있다고 본다. Bacterial leaf blight in carrot is one of the most important diseases in the worldwide. In the past decade, its introduction into Korea is causing great concern due to the potential damage to carrot crops domestically. This bacterial disease is caused by Xanthomonas hortorum pv. carotae (Xhc). This study aimed to isolate and identify bacterial strains from the soil of carrot farms in Jeju Island. The bacterial isolates showing characteristics similar with those of Xhc were selected when cultured on artificial media. Through DNA sequencing and analysis based on NCBI data, some of the selected bacterial strains were identified as Xhc. Furthermore, the bacterial strains caused the typical symptom of bacterial leaf blight after inoculation on carrot leaves. The results of this study showed the potential establishment of Xhc in the soil of Jeju Island and it may be valuable data for establish a strategy preventing the domestic spread of carrot bacterial leaf blight in the future.
