The $CeO_2$-added Y-Ba-Cu-O oxides were prepared by the partial melt process involving the peritectic reaction, liquid + 2-1-1 phase ${\rightarrow}$ 1-2-3 phase, to investigate the effect of the dopant on microstructure and superconductivity. During the peritec reaction, all the added $CeO_2$ was converted to $BaCeO_3$ particles which were finely dispersed in large 1-2-3 grains. Superconducting transition temperature($T_{c}R=0$ point) of the partial-melted samples was as high as 90K regardless of $CeO_2$ content up to 5wt%, which is owing to the separation of the second phase from the 1-2-3 superconducting phase.
Vol.20 No.4
The current study conducted a content analysis regarding how the broadcasting news stations describe the foreign immigrants in Korea. Specifically, this study used the intergroup threat and stereotypes toward foreign immigrants as a framework for the analysis, and explored broadcasting news in the last two years. The results showed that threat-inflictor news (i.e., news suggesting that foreign immigrants are threatening natives) comprised one-third among whole news, which did not significantly differ from threat-victim news (i.e., news suggesting that natives are threatening foreign immigrants) and non-threat news (i.e., news suggesting that foreign immigrants are not related to any threat). Also, this study found that broadcasting news portrayed the foreign immigrants with negative stereotyped traits such as non-competence and non-warmth. The negative stereotypes were higher in the threat news type (i.e., threat-inflictor news and threat-victim news), compared to other types of news. We discussed implications for the findings in terms of the journalism practices.
