      • Transglucosylation Reaction Condition of Cyclodextrin Glucanotransferase for 2-O-α-Glucopyranosyl L-Ascorbic Acid Production by JK-43 Strain Isolated from Kimchi

        Transglucosylation reaction condition of cyclodextrin glucanotransferase(CGTase) for 2- O -α -glucopyranosyl L-ascorbic acid(AA-2G) production by JK-43 was investigated by high performance liquid chromatography method. CGTase from isolated JK-43 produced AA-2G efficiently using corn starch as a substrate and L-ascorbic acid(AA) as an acceptor. Several AA-2-oligoglucosides produced in this reaction mixture could be converted to AA-2G by additional treatment of glucoamylase. The optimal conditions for the production of AA-2G from AA and corn starch with culture supernatant as an enzyme source were investigated. The optimum temperature for AA-2G production was 55℃, and its optimum pH was around 5.0. CGTase also utilized α-, β - and γ -cyclodextrins, starch, glucose, diastatic solution from malt(the mixture of dextrin, maltopentose, maltotetraose, maltose and glucose) and diastatic solution from rice(the mixture of dextrin, maltotriose, maltose and glucose) as substrates. The reaction mixture (1.5㎖) for the maximal production of AA-2G consisted of 5㎎ of AA, l0㎎ of corn starch, 244units of CGTase. By this reaction mixture, 1.26㎎ of AA-2G, which corresponded to a 25.2% yield based on AA, was produced after incubation of 48 hr at 55℃ (pH 5.0).

        Services in International Trade of China: Factors Influence on the Share

        This paper examines factors influence on the share of services in international trade of China. In 2004, China overtook Japan as the leading Asian exporter, outdistanced the United States in 2007 and Germany in 2009 as the world’s leading exporter. Since the performance of services in China has shown the competitiveness in international trade for the last decade, it is determined to be the noteworthy field of the economy. In this study, the periodical changes of services in international trade of China were observed with special attention on its assession to the World Trade Organization (WTO). As a theoretical study, qualitative method is used to build a theoretical framework based on the literature review within the context of services and perspective of international trade. Through the analysis on the collected data in Chinese, English, and Korean, the share of services in international trade in China is determined to be influenced by the multiple factors: liberalization processes, development of technology, privatization, governmental policies and planning, and deregulation.

        Services in International Trade of Mongolia and Chinese Taipei: Factors Influence on the Share

        This paper analyzes the factors impacting on the share of services in international trade of Mongolia and Chinese Taipei. In addition to the previous studies of East Asian countries, China, Hong Kong, Macao, Japan and Korea, services in international trade of these two regions are reviewed in order to determine the factors influence on the share. Although Mongolia has boosted its trade by joining WTO since 1997, its services in international trade has not shown any significant improvement until last year. Besides, Chinese Taipei has stayed as a part of East Asia region leading the services in international trade. Qualitative method is used to build a theoretical framework which can provide the boundaries for this study and its position within the context of services and perspective of international trade of the two regions. According to the analysis, the share of services is determined to be sensitive to the multiple factors: technological development, political affair and relations, liberalization of the processes, privatization and deregulation, and entrance of foreign investors to the service markets.

        Relationship between Service Design Tools and Service Innovation - Focused on Korean Healthcare Cases

        In this paper, we have determined the strategic service design tools and methods by examining the associations among different size of health and medical service industry and investigate if service design tools and methods are positively related to service innovation. The categorized service design tools and methods in the service design will be used to examine the associations among two different types of health and medical service providers which are classified according to the operational regulations and sizes in Korea: clinics and general hospitals as a case study. Findings support that health and medical service industry may improve their performance winning the challenges associated with using the most appropriate strategic service design tools and methods in the service design.

        Inventory Management in Distribution Channels

        The purpose of this paper is to determine the actual strategies used in Inventory Management in the field of Distribution phenomenon. In the first part of the research, theoretical backgrounds will be reviewed in order to provide better understanding the importance of Inventory Management in Distribution Management. The qualitative data were gathered by face to face interviews and a phone interview from four selected intermediaries. The study finds intermediaries practicing JIT in the sales and distribution and maximizing the sales activities and minimizing the inventory cost by giving up on an opportunity cost.

        Mobile Consumers in the Travel Service Industry: Focus on Korean Backpackers

        This research paper explores a niche area of travel services industry of international trade in the experience economy – Korean backpackers’ overseas backpacking predisposition may contribute to the understanding and learning of their business activity. According to the most recent statistics, over 28.7 million Koreans which is more than half of the population traveled outside of Korea in 2018 (KTO 2019; MCST 2019). This study employs a grounded analysis approach and an interpretive alternative to deeply investigate the backpacking culture and trends of Korean backpackers based on their experiences abroad through data gathered by in-person interviews and diaries. The research has been conducted based on three distinct backpacker groups in different stages of travel with ethical considerations. First field study was conducted by interviewing the backpackers while they were visiting Europe between 2008 and 2010, the second study over the backpackers who finished their backpacking (post-trip) in 2009 post-trip, and the third study over the experienced backpackers between 2009 and 2017. Throughout the analysis of the examined data about how Korean backpackers sense, feel, think, act, and relate to the things they have experienced in places they have visited it becomes evident that experiential marketing would benefit backpackers and the hospitality industry that services these tourists. Viewing backpacker tourists in general and the niche sub-section of Korean backpackers specifically will aid the hospitality industry to work on building great customer experiences by enhancing the sustainable consumer mobile traveler market.

        참다래 "홍양" 품종의 차등발현유전자 분석

        적색 과육 '홍양' 품종에서 차등발현하는 유전자를 찾기 위하여 mirror orientation selection (MOS)과 결합된 suppression subtractive hybridization (SSH) 실험을 수행하였다. 그 결과, 288개의 cDNA clone을 확보하였으며, colony PCR을 통해 192개의 positive clone을 선발하였고, 이들을 sequencing하였다. NCBI/Genbank 데이터베이스의 BLAST 검색를 We used suppression subtractive hybridization (SSH) combined with mirror orientation selection (MOS) method to screen differentially expressed genes from red-fleshed kiwifruit 'Hongyang'. As a result, the 288 clones were obtained by subcloning PCR product and 192 clones that showed positive clones on colony PCR analysis were selected. All the positive clones were sequenced. After comparisons with the NCBI/Genbank database using the BLAST search revealed that 30 clones showed sequence similarity to genes from other organisms; 10 clones showed significant sequence similarity to known genes. Among these clones, 3 clones (AcF21, AcF42 and AcF106) had sequence homology to 1-aminicyclopropane-carboxylic acid (ACC)-oxidase (ACO) that known to be related to fruit ripening. The expression patterns of differentially expressed genes were further investigated to validate the SSH data by reverse transcription PCR (RT-PCR) and quantitative real-time PCR (qReal-time PCR) analysis. All the data from qReal-time PCR analysis coincide with the results obtained from RT-PCR analysis. Three clones were expressed at higher levels in 'Hongyang' than 'Hayward'. AcF21 was highly expressed in the other genes at 120 days after full bloom (DAFB) and 160 DAFB of 'Hongyang'.

        3D 게임에서 '비행' 행위에 대한 사용자의 반응 연구 : 3D MMORPG Aion을 중심으로

        본 연구는 3D게임의 완성도와 사용자의 플레이 욕구를 높이기 위해 다양한 몰입요소들 중 사용자 이동시스템을 서비스하고 있는 게임에서 이동수단의 하나인 '비행' 행위에 따른 사용자의 심리적 반응을 분석하였다. 게임 내 이동시스템 종류인 포탈, 탑승물, 소환, 추적 등의 사용자 이동 구도를 살펴보고, 비행시스템이 존재하는 게임에서 사용자들에 미치는 영향과 기준을 통해 Aion 게임을 대상으로 객관적인 설문통계 방법을 이용하여 비행 이동이 사용자들에게 심리적으로 미치는 영향과 요인들에 대해 분석하였다. 그렇게 분석된 결과를 토대로 게임에서의 비행 이동이라는 요소, 각 게임 별 비행 이동시스템 구조와 각 배경그래픽이 게임 사용자의 심리적 행동이나 반응 요소, 사용자가 게임 속 가상세계의 지형에 따른 비행을 하고 싶은 충동성, 비행 시스템에 대한 사용자의 의존성 그리고 비행과정에서의 비행 행동과 배경이 되는 가상세계의 표현 수준에 따른 몰입감(沒入感) 등의 특징을 밝혀낼 수 있었으며, 이용시간, 연령층, 레벨에 따라 비행행동 반응에 차이가 있음을 알 수 있었다. This research aimed to analyze the way of how flying movement system and background graphic in MMORPG, which provides movement system, influences on users' psychological behavior in order to enhance user's participation and the completion level of 3D game. This research also analyzed the difference between the user's response to the flying movement and other movement structure in game such as things to board, summons, portal, chase, and etc. With this comparative analysis, this study could clarify the characteristics of the user's desire to fly according to the virtual world' topography in game, the necessity of flying movement for fast movement, the dependence of user on flying system, the immersion according to behavior in process of flying, and expression level of virtual world, and etc. The survey through the case research of MMORPG Aion selected for this research showed flying movement system can have suitable quality by applying users' playing time and absorption in flight process, users' impulse following game level, and users' need to fly as a convenience of flying properly.
