      • Al 7075합금의 열간성형 및 반응고성형 공정에 따른 미세조직과 경도 특성

        Various precision forging processes were applied for Al 7075 alloy. Among the each forging parts produced by existing multi-stage forging, improved single-stage forging and thixoforging(new technology of a near-net shape manufacture), thixoforging was excellent at viewpoints of homogeneity and formability. Hardness values of each forging parts produced by single-stage forging and thixoforging process came close to existing multi-stage forging parts. Irregular grain boundary and particle for thixoforging process were homogenized by artificial aging treatment(T6) and the hardness value was increased considerably.

        In the active sonar development, the reverberation is one of the major factors to be overcome like the clutter in the rader development. Unfortunately real reverberation data in various cases cannot be achieved so easily as real clutter data can be and there is a trend to build a simulator before a complex sonar system is developed. In the sonar simulator, the synthesized reverberation signal is necessary. In this paper we propose an algorithm to simulate the reverberation for the moving active sonar to use it in a simulator, and show some simulated results.

        Clinical trial has been extensively applied not only in drug development but for the academic researches in biomedical field. Since this is an experimental research in human subjects, the highest level of ethical and scientific requirements should be asked to the investigators and their processing. Therefore, it is not surprising that clinical trial in drug development is strictly controlled by the ethical committee(institutional review board, IRB) and governmental regulations. Good clinical practice(GCP) has been developed as a guideline to keep the ethical and scientific requirements of clinica??trial. Unreliable data obtained from non-scientific approach can not be used for the best application of drugs or medical devices in to patients, which is not ethical in terms of their unnecessary exposure in human subjects. The most ideal type of clinical trial includes prospective, randomized. controlled and double-blinded approach. This short review introduces some of the important concepts in clinical trial, especially in the design and preparation of protocol.

        급성 림프구성 백혈병 환자에서 발생한 침습성 국균 심내막염 2예

        국균은 호흡기를 통해 유입되며 심한 면역기능저하 환자에서 기회감염을 일으키는 진균이며 주로 혈관을 따라 폐를 침범하고 심장과 골침범은 매우 드문 것으로 알려져 있다. 저자들은 급성 림프구성 백혈병 환자에서 발생한 침습성 국균 심내막염을 2예을 경험하였다. 19세 남자환자로 동종 조혈모세포이식 후 발생한 고열과 요통의 원인으로 감염성 심내막염 진단하에 수술결과 국균에 의한 감염으로 확증되어 수술적 절제술과 liposomal amphotericin B로 치료하였으나 국균 심내막염의 재발과 국균 척추염의 악화, 뇌 출혈로 사망하였다. 23세 남자환자로 관해요법 후 발생한 고열과 요통의 원인으로 국균 심내막염과 국균 척추염 진단하에 수술적 절제술과 amphotericin B로 치료하여 1년 2개월 동안 국균 심내막염의 재발은 없었으나 지속적인 백혈병의 재발과 국균 척추염의 악화, 침습성 폐 국균증으로 사망하였다. Although Aspergillus endocarditis has rarely been reported, it can cause fatal complications in hematologic malignancy patients and allogeneic stem cell transplant recipients. We experienced two cases of aspergillus endocarditis developed in acute lymphoblastic leukemia patients. Case; A 19-year-old patient developed Aspergillus endocarditis after allogenic hemopoietic stem cell transplantation. He was treated with surgical intervention and liposomal amphotericin B. He died of recurred Aspergillus endocarditis and cerebral hemorrhage probably related with aspergillosis of central nervous system. Case 2; A 23-year-old patient developed invasive Aspergillus endocarditis after induction chemotherapy. Aspergillus endocarditis was successfully treated by surgical intervention and amphotericin B. He died of refractory neutropenic fever and sepsis after the third relapse of leukemia and repetitive chemotherapy. He probably had invasive pulmonary aspergillosis without evidence of endocarditis recurrence. Because the mortality of Aspergillus endocarditis is very high, early diagnosis and surgical intervention are very important for better outcome.

        The purpose of this study is to analyze the visual variation of skilled and unskilled people, and to obtain data necessary for skill improvement of effective handball penalty throw. An eye tracker was used to collect eye movements, concentration points, directions, and paths during penalty throws. The results are as follows: 1) For skilled players, the place where they threw and the place where their eyes were focused matched. 2) There is no difference in the presence or absence of eye contact with the goalkeeper.

      • 웨이브렛 계수 Zero Crossings를 이용한 영상의 잡음제거 및 압축

        윤곽선이나 에지같은 영상 데이터의 중요한 성분들은 웨이브렛 계수의 zero crossings를 통해 검출할 수 있다. 이런 방법은 영상의 패턴 인식에 관한 연구에서 sharp variation points를 검출하는데 사용되었다. 웨이브렛 변환과 zero-crossings를 거쳐 국부 극치의 위치를 검출하는데 이 방법을 적용하여서 영상의 잡음제거에 사용하도록 개선하였다. 더욱이 영상 데이터에서 전체 영상의 픽셀과 정보를 저장하는 대신, 대부분의 중요한 성분을 효과적으로 몇몇 국부 극치값으로 압축하였다. 그 결과 새로 개선된 기법은 패턴 인식 분야에서만 아니라 높은 압축률의 잡음 제거에도 사용될 수 있다. The important image data components such as contours and edges could be detected by zero crossings of wavelet coefficient. This method has been used for the studies on pattern recognition of images to detect sharp variation points. We have applied it to detection of the position of local maxima through zero-crossings and wavelet transform, so that it is improved to be used for noise-eliminating of image. In addition it could compress the image data into a few of local maxima which held the most of important component efficiently without saving All image pixels and information. As the result, the newly improved method could be implemented not merely for the field of pattern recognition but for that of noise removal at the higher compression ratio.

      • 약물반응의 다양성과 약물유전학 : A Principle for the Personalized Pharmacotherapy

        Individual variation in drug response is a major problem of clinical practice and of a drug development. These variation can range from therapeutic failure to adverse or even fatal effects of drugs in some patients. The incidence of serious and fatal adverse drug reactions (ADRs) has been reported to be 6.7% and 0.32% of hospitalized patients in USA, respectively. The risk for therapeutic failure or toxicity of a drug in an individual patient is determined by the interaction of genes and environment. Environmental factors include drug-drug interactions, patient's age, weight, renal and liver dysfunction, or other disease factors or clinical variables such as smoking and alcohol consumption. Many of these environmental factors have long been considered in determining the individualized dose regimen in conventional pharmacotherapeutics. However, inherited individual variability of drug responses has been left as a so called "idiosyncrasy" that are not predictable by physicians. Recently, the rapid development of pharmacogenetics/pharmacogenomics provide us extensive informations regarding on the genetic background on the wide inter-individual variation of drug responses, which is expected to lead to the era of personalized pharmacotherapy. Pharmacogenetics is a science that is interesting to the inherited variants of genes related to pharmacokinetics (drug metabolizing enzymes, drug transporters etc.) and pharmacodynamics (receptor, ion channel, target enzyme etc.), which are associated to the susceptibility of an individual to the higher risk of ADR or therapeutic failure. This review addresses the role of pharmacogenetics/pharmacogenomics in relation to wide interindividual variation of drug responses and to the possible contribution to the prediction of personalized pharmacotherapy.

      • 3차원 좌표 측정기의 측정 자동화 시스템 개발

        본 논문은 10㎛ 정밀도를 가진 수동형 3차원 좌표 측정기(Coordinate Measuring Machine, CMM)에 다음의 기능을 부가함으로써, 자동화하고자한다. 그것들은 디스풀레이 제어, 키보드나 조이스틱을 통한 Man-Machine Interface 기능 그리고 서보 모터 제어 등이다. 이와같은 기능을 부가하기위하여, 8031 원칩 마이크로프로세서 시스템을 설계 제작하였고, Yasukawa 모터를 이용한 서보 제어 시스템은 일반적인 PID 알고리즘과 최종점에서 부가적인 Impulse 제어를 수행함으로써, 본 시스템의 요구 조건인 위치 오차 10㎛이내의 정밀 제어가 가능토록하였다. This paper works toward the development of an Automatic Coordinate Measuring Machine(CMM) by adding to a manually driven CMM machine with measuring accuracy of 10㎛ the following functions. a display control, man-machine interface with a joystick and a keypad, and servo motor control. 8031 one chip microprocessor system is designed to control the above functions and A servo motor control system with Yasukawa servo motors allows to control a probe with 10㎛ accuracy by using conventional PID control algorithm and an additional impulse control algorithm.

        L-라이신 발효에 있어서 당밀전처리의 영향

        Can molasses, the most widely used carbon source for the industrial fermentation of L-lysine, usually contains a high concentration of calcium ions which tend to cause scaling problem in the recovery process. To remove the calcium ions, cane molasses was pretreated with sulfuric acid by adjusting the pH to 2.5~3.5. When the pretreated solution was directly heat-sterilized and used in the fermentation, a significant reduction in L-lysine production was observed. In this paper, we proved that sucrose is a superior substrate for L-lysine fermentation of that of glucose or fructose and that the above-mentioned decrease of L-lysine production was caused by the hydrolysis of sucrose in the molasses when the molasses was heat-sterilized at a low pH. The problem was overcome by adjusting the pH of molasses to neutral before sterilization.
