족과관절염좌 환자에 대한 동씨침법과 일반침법의 효과에 대한 비교 연구

Objective: The purpose of this study is to compare the effects of Dong-si acupuncture therapy and General acupuncture therapy for the patients with acute ankle sprain. Methods : This study has been carried out for 60 cases of ankle sprain patients who have visited Dong-Seo Oriental medical Hospital from May 1, 2002 to September 30, 2002. We have treated 30 cases of them by Dong-si acupuncture therapy and the other 30 cases by General acupuncture therapy. And we have compared those two group. Results : 1. There was no significant difference at the treatment period and the number of treatment times in comparing two groups. 2. The number of treatment times for good effect is that : Dong-si took $1.57{\pm}0.85$ times and General acupuncture therapy took $2.15{\pm}0.96$ times. And we have found that the effect of Dong-si acupuncture therapy is faster than the other.

침자가 성장기 및 성숙기 웅성 흰쥐의 혈액성분에 미치는 영향

Acupuncture, an over 2500 years old therapeutic method stemming from traditional oriental medicine, is nowadays wide open to modern medical science. With the widespread usage of acupuncture, the number of article about biomechanical or therapeutic effects of acupuncture from animal experiments and clinical trials is largely reported. In a previous study, we have reported that Joksamlee(ST36) acupuncture increases serum protein and glucose but decrease serum lipid and cholesterol. For further study, we was examined effects of Shenshu(B23) and Samumgyo(SP6) acupuncture stimulation on differential blood components in growing and adult male rate. 24 male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly assigned into three groups; A1 (B23 and SP6 acupuncture in adult rats) group, A2 (B23 acupuncture in growing rats) group, and control group. The results obtained were as follows; 1. Body weight was significantly decreased in A1 and A2 groups. 2. Serum TP level was not changed, but albumin level was significantly increased in A2 group. 3. Serum glucose level was significantly increased in A1 group. 4. Serum TG level was significantly decreased in A2 group: PL level was significantly decreased in both A1 and A2 groups; FFA level was not changed. 5. Serum T.CHO, HDL-C and LDL-C levels were not changed in both A1 and A2. 6. Serum amylase activity was significantly increased in A1 group.

퍼머제의 중금속 농도에 관한 연구

Objective : This study was conducted to prepare the fundamental data on heavy metal concentration in hair permanents agents and to prevent the health impairment due to heavy metal. Methods and Material : The author determined of 5 heavy metals(Pb, Cr, Mn, Ni, and Cu) concentration hair permanent agents in the market with flameless atomic absorption spectrophotometer. Results : The results were as follows: 1. The geometic mean concentrations of total subjects were 0.04㎍/g for Pb, 0.09㎍/g for Cr, 0.06㎍/g for Mn, 0.03㎍/g for Ni, and 0.04㎍/g for Cu. 2. The most highest mean concentrations of heavy metals in hair permanent agents by using type were Cr for wave agent and straight cream agent, Cu for setting iron agent, Cr and Cu for coating perm agent. 3. Metal most hlghest mean concentrations of heavy in hair permanent agents by type of color was green for Cu. 4. The mean concentration of Cu among 5 heavy metals in hair permanent agents by marker was most highest. 5. There was most statistically significant difference on mean concentration in hair permanent agents between domestic and foreign products. 6. The exposure amount of heavy metal concentration by one time using the permanent agent were 4.O㎍ for Pb, 9.O㎍ for Cr, 6.0㎍ for Mn, 3.O㎍ for Ni and 4.0㎍ for Cu. Conclusion : As above results author suggest to prepare the preventive program of health impairment due to heavy metal by long term chronic exposure to who were using the hair permanent agents hair designer and customers.

After 1960's, the urbanization and industriaization have been nation=leading in Korea. Also, the policy process oriented only the public good as a result nuder the authoritarian government, ommiting democratic proccess without taking public opinion into consideration. As result of these, each community's specific circumstance was not reflected in regional development and brought forward various social problems such as income and development disparity etc. However, operation of local autonomy, gradual realization of democracy and enlargement of demand on bottom-up made a community movements quantitatively and qualitatively. Community movements have played a very essential role as the major means of protest in such problems of community people concerned. Especially, in the cases of underprivileged social strata and area, community movement is an important means in the formation of political opinion and policy making processes to the their local government. Community movement should be based on the community people's needs. Community movement organizations should be made programs solving people's needs is to be established in local government level. So, the desirable directions for the development of community movement in community level are as follows: ① the settlement of Local Agenda, ② the development of community common sense, ③ the activation and solidarity of community movement organizations, ④ the development of community leadership, ⑤ the activation of local press and regional informatization, ⑥ the support of local government to the community movement organizations.

Ocular MALT Lymphoma : Report of Two Cases

Lymphoma arising in mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue(MALT) is extranodal marginal zone lymphoma displaying a proliferation of follicle marginal zone-type cells(centrocyte-like cells or monocytoid B-cells), often with surrounding reactive germinal centers and lympoepithelial lesions. This typically expresses pan-B-cell markers and monotypic immunoglobulin but not CD5 or CD10. Ocular MALT consists of the lacrimal gland, lcular soft tissue, orbit, conjunctiva and cornea. Lymphoma arising in thses sites is of very rare occurrence in up to 1.5% of all patients with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Herein we report two cases of ocular MALT lymphoma which was very rare in the dermatologic field. Case 1, 73-year-old man, developed the right upper conjunctival swelling measuring about 2.0×2.5cm for about 1 year. Histologically, the excised lesion showed follicular centers and infiltration of centrocyte-like cells of B-cell lineage in the stroma but no lymphoepithelial lesions, consistent with low-grade B-cell lymphoma. Case 2, a 66-year-old female, had a rapid course of about 1.2×1.0cm-sized, soft, wellow mass arising from lacrimal gland of the right upper eyelid for about 1 month. Hostologically, the lesion showed diffuse patterend features admixed with centrocyte-like cells and large cells such as centroblast, compatible with high-grade lymphoma. Case 2 received combined chemotherapy of m-BACOD, with a somewhat improvement.

매스매티카를 이용한 광대역 혼합트래픽의 분석

Since the introduction of Mathematica in 1988, it has been succesfully utilized in various research fileds including mathematics and physics. In this study, we use the numerical and graphical power of Mathematica to analyze the voice traffic and the video traffic mixed with voice traffic under the B-ISDN environments. We adapt the fluid flow approximation as the basis of traffic modelling. The individual video source is modelled as a 3-state continuous time Markov chain. We present both numerical examples and Mathematica procedures in order to demonstrate the convenience of Mathematica as well as the validity of the model.

결합재 페이스트 충전에 따른 포러스콘크리트의 물성에 관한 기초적 연구

Although porous concrete is recently used as a pavement at a parking lot, a public squre and a bicycle road, we use without enough examining. Most the maintenance of quality for porous concrete is only dealt with strength and color tone. Also, there is not et enough fundamental data about dynamical properties for strength, rate of void and water permeability. Even when it is applied to at the scene, it is been a matter. Accordingly in this study analyzed influences through the dynamical properties, combination, and time to vibration. After the analyzation, they investigated peculiar dynamics which are strength of porous concrete, rate of void, and water permeability follow the rate of increase on an admixture making pozzolan reaction. This is purpose to improve capacity of the sidewalk permeable concrete and development of the economical technique for pavement.

지방자치단체의 국제교류 활성화방안에 관한 연구 : 천안시를 중심으로

The 21st century is the era of localization or local autonomy. It means that civil organizations or local autonomous bodies do not depend on the central government or are not controlled by it and that they are gradually expanding their scope to play independent role in the international society. In this era of globalization, local governments should build power and ability to meet the environment change actively, and should raise the services of talent who can establish proper polices suitable for the vitalization of local autonomy. Under such circumstances, this study of the Cheonan-city was aimed at arranging the problems related to the international exchanges between local autonomous governments and thereby, suggesting the reform measures to promote them. In order to analyze the condition of international exchanges, they were categorized in large into those through sisterhood relationship, human exchanges, organization status and budget scale of the international exchanges.

교육가능급 정신지체아의 호흡순한기능에 관한 연구

Though the researches into the breathing and circulation of the 22 young, aged from 10 to 18, who are the mentally handicapped youth particopating in the sports programs of a public physical training center in Seoul, and the normal vounteers participating in the sports programs of the Han river citizen park, the following conclusions have been achieved. 1) The ages of the normal volunteers and mentally handicapped youth were the same and though the physical feature didn't show significant statistically, the average weight of the normal vounteers was 7cm taller that of the mentally handicapped youth, and the average weight of the normal volunteers was approximately 5㎏ hravier than that of the mentally handicapped youth and the average heart rates in repose of the normal volunteers was lower than that of the mantally handicapped youth. 2) When exercise were taken to the mantally handicapped youth and the normal volunteers, in the respiratory and circulatory function, the statistically significant was shown as the average of the maximum oxygen intake of the normal vounteers was 1.181/min higher(P〈0.01) than that of the mentally handicapped youth, and the average oxygen intake per the weight of the normal volunteers handicapped youth, and the maximum heart rates of the normal volunteers 24.69beats/min(P〈0.01) higher than of the mentally handicapped youth. 3) The average of the on maximum oxygen of the mentally handicapped youth was 0.73 0.241/min and the regression equation between the age(X) and the maximum oxygen intake was shown as Y=0.042+0.131(r : 0.32). 4) The average of the maximum oxygen intake per the weight was 15,.94 6.02 ㎖/㎏/min and the regression equation between it and the age was shown as Y=0.499X+8.775(r : 0.01) 5) The average of the maximum heart rates of the mentally handicapped youth and the regression equation between the age(X) and it was shown as Y=2.648X+134.869(r : 0.68). 6) The regression equation between the weight and the maximum oxygen intake per weight for the mentally handicapped youth was shown as Y=0.040X+17.972(r : 0.01)
