The highest number of bacterial cell was observed in chicken washed water compared with the natural and chilled water. Fifteen bacterial strains were islated from the chicken processing water. When they were identified by the Bergey's Mannual of determinative bacteriology, they were all identified as the family Enterobacteriaceae; one genus of Citrobacter, three genera of Enterobacter, and four genera of Klebsiella except one isolate unknown. The concentration of Na₂HCIO₄to inhibit all the bacterial strains 30ppm, on the other hand the concentration of CIO₂to retard bacterial growth was 70ppm. The effective concentration of CIO₂was various according to bacterial species.

This study was designed to compare segmental body composition and bone mineral density in spinal cord-injured(SCIS; n=9, SCIA; n=9) and non-injured control(AB; n=9) subjects. Dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry(DEXA) was used to measure %body fat, body fat mass, lean body mass, bone mineral contents, and bone mineral density in total and various body regions(arms, legs, trunk). The present results showed that body fat mass and %body fat were significantly higher and lean body mass was significantly lower in the SCIS group compared to AB group, while there was no difference between the SCIA and AB group in those of parameters. In BMC, there was no difference among groups and in BMD, SCI group was significantly lower that AB group, but there was no difference between SCIA group and AB group. Based on these results, in can be suggested that long-term regular exercise can reduce the negative changes in body composition, bone mineral density by spinal cord injury.

SNMP is a standard protocol for management of networking devices. Nowadays, most computer systems have capability to act as SNMP agents. In this paper, we describe our system monitoring software based on SNMP. It consists of a monitoring server, SNMP agents, and client programs. The monitoring server collects status information from the SNMP agents running on the monitoring target graphical display. We developed two version of clients, Java based standalone program and Web based program. Since most known SNMP packages are too big and heavy, we developed an efficient version of SNMP library for out system monitoring

A vibration monitoring system for a small class of wind turbine (W/T) is established and operated. The monitoring system consists of monolithic integrated chip accelerometer for vibration monitoring, anemometers for wind data acquisition and auxiliary sensors for atmospheric data. Using the monitoring system, vibration response of a 6kW W/T generator is investigated. Acceleration data of the W/T tower under various operation condition is acquired in real time using LabVIEW and is remotely transferred from the test site to the laboratory in school by internet. Vibration state of the tower structure is diagnosed within the operating speed range. Resonance frequency range of the test model is investigated with the wind speed data of the test site.

H. S. KIM, H. J. YOON, J. S. RYU, T. S. KIM. The Three Dimensional Analysis of the Upper Body's Segments of the Elderly during Walking. Korean Journal of Sport Biomechanics, Vol. 14, No. 3, pp. 1-15, 2004. The purpose of this study was to investigate the kinematic variables of the upper part of the body for 8 elderly men during walking. For this study, kinematic data were collected using a six-camera (240Hz) Qualisys ProReflex system. The room coordinate system was right-handed and fixed in space, with righted orthogonal segment coordinate systems defined for the head, trunk, and pelvis. Based on a rigid body model, reflective marker triads were attached on the 3 segments. Three-dimensional Cartesian coordinates for each marker were determined at the time of recording using a nonlinear transformation(NLT) technique with ProReflex software (Qualisys, Inc.). Coordinate data were low-pass filtered using a fourth-order Butterworth with cutoff frequency of 6Hz. Three-dimensional angles of the head, trunk, and pelvis segment were determined using a Cardan method. On the basis of each segment angle, angle-angle plot used to estimated the movement coordinations between segments. The conclusions were as follows; (1) During the support phase of walking, the elderly people generally kept their head the flexional and abductional posture. Particularly, the elderly displayed little internal/external rotation. (2) The elderly people showed extensional and external rotation postures in the trunk movement. Particularly, It showed the change from adduction into abduction at the heel contact event of the stance phase. (3) The elderly people showed almost same pelvis movement from the flexion into extension, from the abduction into adduction, and from internal rotation into external rotation at the mid stance and toe off of the stance phase.

An anterior segmental osteotomy may be complicated by malpositioning,bleeding, perfusion deficiencies, periodontal defects(dehiscence), devitalized teeth, oronasal fistula, and nonunion(delayed union).If preiodontal defects occur after surgery, though hygiene and good nutrition are all that can be recommended until primary healing has occurred. However, a soft tussue graft might be needed at the defect site when the preiodontal defects do not heal properly. We reported a patient who showed an excellent prognosis after undergoing a palatal mucosa graft accompanied by laterally positioned flap as a result of a dehiscence that occurred after anterior segmental osteotomy.
제주도내 마을공동목장의 초지관리 이용 및 식생상태의 조사

Pasture management and utilization for beef production, and botanical composition of the pasture on 81 co-operate village farmsin Cheju-Do were surveyed through questionaires and site visits. The study period was 28 days from October 2 to October 30, 1985. The pasture consisted of 45% improved grassland, in which 24.3% of grass species were imported. The improved pastures were fertilized once a year 100-150kg urea/ha. Grazing period of the pastures was about 5 months, beginning later April or early May(60.5% of the pastures) and ending early-or mid-November (80.3%). Distribution of types of vegetation was, in order of magnitude, native pasture (38.7%), improved pasture (24.3%), shrub (10.0%), unfavorable weeds(8.3%), Speies found with the highest percentage was Zoysia japonica(73.9%) in the native pasture, Festuca arundinacea(40.3%) in the improved pasture and Pteridium aquilium (54.4%) among unfavorable weeds.

An agricultural land application of swine slurry is one of the best management practices in Jeju island whose ground water must be protected. So as to study the effect of appling swine slurry on ground water or aquifer, incubation-leaching technique was used by assuming the incubating period of 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, or 32 days, and application rate of 3200.0㎎T-P/ℓ, 820.0㎎T-P/ℓ, and 1887.0㎎K^+/ℓ in swine slurry. The leachates were collected from the soil columns(PVC 30㎝L×5.5㎝D) packed 15㎝ in depth with Gangjeong soil series by washing with 100mL distilled water. The leached components were measured by using Ion chromatography for Cl^-, NO_3-N, F^-,Br^-, Na^+, K^+, Ca^2+, and Mg^2+, atomic absorption spectrophotometry for Fe and Mn, and UV-Vis spectrophotometry for T-N and T-P. Application of swine slurry in naked soil could influence on the ground water or aquifer by increasing nitrate-nitrogen in leachate with time, or leaching the cations present in soils in accompany with anions because of H^+ produced in nitrification. Therefore, careful consideration should be taken about what amount, when, where, and how for protecting ground water system.
