Steroid cell tumor is a rare ovarian sex cord-stromal tumor which accounts for 0.1% of all ovarian tumors. Until now, only 4 cases have been reported in domestic literatures. Steroid cell tumor often secrets testosterone and presents virilization in adult women or precocious puberty in children. Treatment is often performed by surgical removal, adjuvant chemotherapy and radiation, but completely accepted treatment was not existed. We experienced a case of steroid cell tumor, which was manifested by typical virilization in a 43-year old patient, who was previously performed hysterectomy and unilateral oophorectomy. So, we present with a brief review of the literatures.

영상압축을 위한 효율적인 관심영역 부호화 알고리즘

Region of Interest is more important than other image in compressed image. Region of Interest is demanded high compression and high quality. Maxshift method and Scaling based method have problems in JPEG 2000 proposed that increase bit rate and need extra decoder. We propose Region of Interest scaling method based Maxshift method of JPEG 2000 part I for improving the problems. It could reconstruct some degree background region by proposed method before lossless reconstruct Region of Interest. Also, could satisfactorly reconstruct Region of Interest and background region that don't transmit the full image when low bit transmission is demanded.

삼척시 원덕읍 주민을 대상으로 한 류마티스 관절염 및 종양 진단

Diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis and cancer requires specific proteins as antigens and it has been developed by using a rapid detection kit and latex agglutination which identify circulating antibodies in the blood sera. In this study conducted by Namseoul University Health Medicine Care Service in October 2010, with the residents in Wondeok-eup, Samcheok city, Kangwon-do, the rapid diagnosis of the rheumatoid arthritis and cancer was performed by analyzing patients' blood sera. Rheumatoid arthritis and cancer were diagnosed in 3 and 1 patients, respectively in a total of twenty-six persons. In the rapid diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis using by latex agglutination, there were one positive case of C-reactive protein (CRP), one positive case of Rheumatoid factor (RF) and one positive case of both CRP and RF detected. In the rapid diagnosis of cancer, one positive case of prostate specific antigen (PSA) was observed. Key Words : Diagnosis, Kit, Rheumatoid arthritis, Cancer

[논문]EAF Slag 잔골재를 사용한 콘크리트의 황산염침식 저항성에 관한 실험적 연구

본 연구에서는 전기로슬래그를 사용한 콘크리트의 황산염침식 저항성을 평가하는데 그 목적이 었다. 전기로슬래그의 에이징 방법(공기중,촉진에이징) 및 치환율(0,10, 20, 30, 50%)을 달리하여 10% 의 황산마그네숨 용액에 침지한 후 각 재령에 따른 콘크리트의 황산염 침식 저항성을 평가하였다. 각각의 시편에 대한 콘크리트의 압축강도,황산염 열화지수(S.D.F),중량변화율,미세구조를 분석한 결과,촉진에이정 처리한 전기로슬래그가 공기중에이징 처리한 전기로슬래그보다 우수한 성능을 보임을 알 수 있었으며,촉진에이징 전기로슬래그의 치환율이 30% 까지 증가할 수록 황산염 침식 저항성을 우수해 짐을 알 수 있었다.

부산지역에서 유통되는 고래 고기의 법생물학 및 보전생물학적 조사

It was investigated the whale meat of which species has been traded in which places of Pusan. It was confirmed that many fish shops and restaurants have kept the whale meat for sale. The meat was identified as skins, muscles, blubbers and the others originated from Balaenoptera acutorostrata davidsoni, B. acutorostrata bonarensis, B. edeni, Ziphius cavirostris, Orcinus orca, Delphinus spp., Grampus griseus, Tursiops truncatus and Lagenorhynchus obliquidens. Many shops and restaurants were also detected selling the whale meat explicitly with their whale meat sign-boards. Although there were at least 23 shops selling the whale meat at the Jagalchi market which the largest fish-market in Pusan, no monitoring and restriction was carried out relevantly and timely by local authorities and NGOs associated with this matter. It was suggested to monitor and to investigate the illegal markets and restaurants with molecular identification process and to encourage the related local authorities to fulfill their duties and responsibilities. Also discussed were on further conservation of whales against illegal trades.

LiNbO₃: (Mg+Mn) 단결정의 광흡수

Transition metal manganese(Mn) has been chosen as a marking impurity, and three kinds of manganesedoped LiNbO₃crystals have been grown by the Czochalski method. Their [Li]/[Nb] ratio and contents of MgO in the growing melt are 0.945 + 0 mole % MgO, 0.945 + 4.5 mole % MgO and 0.945 + 6.0 mole % MgO, respectively. The amount of MnO in the crystals is 0.1 mole %. The measurements of UV absorption edge and ?? absorption bands in these crystals were made at room temperature. The position of the UV absorption edge and the shape and peak point of the absorption band of the ?? vibrational band changed monotonously up to a critical concentration of ?? ions. The mechanism of the incorporation of ?? ions changes at this concentration. As experimental results showed, the significant difference between them revealed that the ionic environment of ?? cation in the 0.945 + 0 or 4.5 mole % MgO and 0.945 + 6.0 mole % MgO is different. According to this, the ?? cation should substitute for ?? in 0.945 +6.0 mole % MgO crystal rather than substitute for ?? in 0.945 + 0 or 4.5 mole % MgO.

Tofisopam is a new type of tranquilizer valuable for the relief of anxiety and tension in a wide range of emotional disorders. Tofisopam has the therapeutic characteristics of a minor tranquilzer and a mild stimulatory effect. The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the bioequivalence of two tofisopam tablets, Grandaxin^TM (Hwan In Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.) and Tofim^TM (Kyung Dong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.), according to the guidelines of Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA). Eighteen normal male volunteers, 23.11±2.83 years in age and 65.43±7.64 kg in body weight, were divided into two groups and a randomized 2×2 cross-over study was employed. After one tablet containing 50 mg of tofisopam was orally administered, blood was taken at predetermined time intervals and the concentrations of tofisopam in serum were determined using HPLC method with UV detector. The pharmacokinetic parameters such as AUC_t C_max and T_max were calculated and ANOVA test was utilized for the statistical analysis of the parameters. The results showed that the differences in AUC_t C_max and T_max between two tablets based on the Grandaxin^TM were -5.59%, 2.22% and -13.18%, respectively. Minimum detectable differences (Δ) at α=0.10 and 1-β=0.8 were less than 20% (e.g., 14.95% and 19.34% for AUC_t and C_max respectively). The powers (1-β) at α=0.10, Δ=0.2 for AUC_t and C_max were 95.21% and 81.93%, respectively. The 90% confidence intervals were within ±20% (e.g., -15.64∼4.45 and -10.77∼15.21 for AUC_t and C_max respectively). Two parameters met the criteria of KFDA for bioequivalence, indicating that Tofim^TM tablet is bioequivalent to Grandaxin^TM tablet.

기계시각을 이용한 강구 자동 검사장치

Metal balls are commonly used in mechanical elements and systems including bearings. If there is a defect in a metal ball, it can cause a serious machine failure. By this reason every balls produced are required to be inspected, and the inspection is usually done by human eyes. However, the inspection by human eyes is always with the risk of mistakes, and a need to automate the inspection process is arisen. This paper describes a design of an automatic inspection system for detecting defects on ball surface. A machine vision system is used, and design process and techniques are described in detail. 강구는 베어링을 비롯한 기계 요소 및 장치에서 널리 사용되는 부품이다. 만약 강구에 결함이 있을 시, 이를 사용하는 기계에서 치명적인 결함이 초래될 수 있다. 따라서 제조된 강구에 대해서는 전량검사가 요구되고 있고, 검사과정은 사람의 육안에 의한 검사가 주를 이루고 있다. 그런데 사람에 의한 검사에는 항상 실수의 가능성이 있으므로, 이를 자동화하는 것이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 강구의 표면 결함을 자동적으로 검사할 수 있는 장치를 설계한다. 기계시각 장치가 사용되었고, 설계에 따른 구체적 절차와 기술들이 서술된다.

부산지역 매출액 상위기업의 위상과 변천사

본 연구는 부산지역의 주요기업 변화를 살펴보기 위해 매출액 기준 전국 상위 1,000대 기업에 속하는 부산기업을 조사하여 비교분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과 2005년에 전국 1,000대 기업 중 46개 기업이 부산에 소재하였는데, 2019년에는 12 개가 줄어든 34개 기업만이 전국 1,000대 기업에 포함되었다. 또한, 전국 상위 1,000대 기업의 매출액 기준으로 부산지역 기업의 매출액 비중은 2005년 1.6%에서 2019년 1.4%로 줄어든 것으 로 나타났다. 이는 수도권 집중현상이 점차 강화되고 있기 때문이다. 한편, 부산지역 매출액 기준 상위 10대 기업은 많은 변화가 있었는데, 2005년 상위 10대 기업 중 2019년에도 상위 10대 기 업에 포함된 기업은 ㈜한진중공업, 르노삼성자동차(주), ㈜부산은행, ㈜서원유통 등 4개뿐인 것 으로 나타났다. 통계적 인과 관계는 확정할 수 없으나 지역 대기업의 쇠퇴 및 유출과 지역의 쇠퇴가 동시에 이루어지고 있어 지역 경제의 침체와 대기업의 쇠퇴 및 유출이 상당한 관계가 있음을 유추해 볼 수 있다. 특히 2011년 이후 지역 주력 제조업 기업들이 1000대 기업 진입에 실패하였다는 점을 주목해 볼 필요가 있다. 지역 제조업 대기업의 이탈 또는 쇠퇴는 지역 생산성 하락에 영향을 미 쳤을 가능성이 높고, 낮아진 지역 산업 생산성이 지역 경제성장률 둔화에도 영향을 미칠 가능성 이 있다. 따라서 지역의 경제활력 저하 문제를 제고하기 위해서는 지역 산업구조 개편 문제와 생 산성 향상 방안에 대한 고민이 필요하다.
