Coagulant와 Hydro-cyclone을 결합한 상향류식 여과시스템

Coagulation Hydro-cyclone can be added to the upward flow filtration system utilizing Fiber-Ball filter media to analyze and evaluate the treatment characteristics in order to Non-point pollution, which is a pollution problem, more efficiently. Hydro-cyclone was added to the existing Filter column to create an Up-Flow Filtration system. The treatment efficiency according to the operating conditions such as turbidity, suspended solids, pH, inflow flow rate, and head loss was analyzed. Comparison of inflow water and runoff water suspended solids and turbidity analysis results showed a minimum treatment efficiency of 93.21% and a maximum treatment efficiency of 99% or more. It was analyzed that the SS and turbidity analysis results showed a treatment efficiency of 80% or more before and after backwashing twice. When Coagulation Hydro-cyclone was added compared to the existing filtration system, it was analyzed that particles that had not been treated as an adsorption fiber company filter medium between particles could be treated.

The MBR method, also known as the membrane separation active sludge method, does not require a precipitation tank and has many advantages such as stable discharging water. The biggest disadvantages of the MBR method, which has many advantages, are maintenance problems due to reduced flux due to fouling, decreased processing efficiency, and membrane replacement. In this study, in order to reduce membrane pollution, membrane cleaning was performed using the washing principle of the airlift pump, and shear force according to the amount of air was analyzed using the Ansys Fluent computational fluid dynamics program. As a result of the analysis, the film recovery rate was 93.8% to 97.3% and the average was 95.8%, and the CFD analysis showed the highest shear force at about 5.425×10-2Pa at 10m3/m2/hr. It is believed that the MBR device using Airlift in this study can maximize the flux recovery rate by reducing the problem of membrane contamination.

Pelvic actinomycosis is a chronic granulomatous suppurative disease caused by an anaerobic grampositive organism Actinomyces israelii. It is com-monly associated with an intrauterine device(IUD) and can mimick pelvic or intra-abdominal malignant neoplasm. Ureteral obstruction leading to hydronephrosis is a rare complication of tubo-ovarian abscess. We experienced a case of hydronephrosis as a complication of pelvic actinomycotic abscess. The patient was a 46-year-old women presenting with fever and right flank pain. Leukocytosis and pyuria were present and a hydronephrosis was diagnosed by intravenous pyelography. Ultrasonography and a computerised tomography revealed a mass in right adnexum compressing the right ureter. Removal of retroperitoneal abscess and salphingo-oophorectomy were done and the diagnosis of actinomycosis was made by pathologic finding of resected mass. Postoperatively, the patient was treated with second-generation cephalosporin successfully. (Korean J Nephrol 2002;21(2):337-340)
어린이 김치 표준화에 대한 연구(1) : 어린이 김치의 담금법 개발 Development of the Preparation of Kimchi for the Children

The purpose of this study is reporting the results of first trial for the standardization of children's kimchi in terms of brining standardization, development for the recipe ad pannel test for the children's kimchi. In order to develop the standard recipe for children's kimchi, our research team have visited kimchi factories, temples and houses located in Pusan and Kyung-Sang Nam Do province. Three kinds of chinese cabbage kimchi (hamyang, haeundae, and jinrae kimchi named by region where we collected) which got the top three highest score in panel testing was selected. The original recipes of these kimchi were sightly modified to prepared the kimchi at laboratory. Among three of them, hamyang kimchi which contained dried anchovy power was selected as a model kimchi for development of the children's kimchi recipe. We find out that the optimal salt concentration of brined cabbage and kimchi for the children's kimchi (sliced style kimchi, approximately 2.5X3cm a piece) that showed the hightest pennel score were approximately 1.5% and 2.0%, respectively. The salt concentration of brined cabbage became 1.5, 1.43, and 1.60% after 60 min at 10% brining solution, 45 min at 12% and 30 min at 15%, respectively. The developed recipe used for the children's kimchi at our team is as follows. The major ingredients used for the preparation of kimchi is brined sliced chinese cabbage (salt concentration is 1.5%) 1kg galic 11g, ginger 5.0g, red pepper powder 20.0g, fermented anchovy juice 25.0g, fermented shrimp juice 5.0g dried anchovy and sea weed extracts 30.0g, anchovy power 2.4g glutinious rice gel 40.0g, starch syrup, 10.0g, and apple juice 22.5g. The total acceptability test of developed children's kimchi (test kimchi) was carried out with 84 of 6th grade student during lunch time at elementary school in Pusan where has a school lunch program. Sixty nine percent of student answered test kimchi is very good, 25% of them said it is fair, and only 6% of students answered they didn't like test kimchil. However, for the kimchi supplied from school at lunch, 52% students answered the kimchi is good, 26% of them said it is fair, and 22% of them said they don't like school supplied kimchi. This result tells us that the test kimchi is better than school supplied kimchi and the test kimchi can be developed further as a children's kimchi.

This study concentrates an the trail of the CNU(Chungnam National University) forest. The amount of use and the pattern of damage are considered, as well as the extent of environmental damage. Finally, some managerial strategies are proposed in connection with sustainable maintenance. The trail of the university forest is composed of three sections; one is the neighborhood park and the Institute of Information Technology/Communications, the second is the Institute of Information Technology/Communications and the Dormitory, and the third section is the Dormitory and the Foreign prof's Apt. The total length of the trail is 2.6km. The daily amount of use is 1,269 visitors per day. The amount of using increased three times the amount of that in 1998. This study shows the pattern of damage of the trail in the order of root-exposure, widening, rock-exposure, deepening and the divergence in the frequency of occurrence of all these factors. Environmental damage is also graded thus: grade 3 is 27.4m, grade 4 is 0.8m, grade 5 is 1.5m, and grade 6 is 0.2m. Accordingly, some managerial strategies were proposed in connection with the sustainable trail maintenance.

<P>In this paper, we fabricated In<SUB>0.53</SUB>Ga<SUB>0.47</SUB>As-on insulator (OI) MOSFETs on Si substrates with different doping types to mimic ground plane doping using direct wafer bonding and epitaxial lift-off (ELO) techniques. We investigated the impact of doping types on the ground plane and the backgate biasing, which are important and preferable components in monolithic 3-D (M3D) integration, on the electrical properties of MOSFETs, such as the threshold voltage ( <TEX>${V} _{T}$</TEX>) and the effective mobility ( <TEX>$\mu _{\textsf {eff}}$</TEX>). It was found that <TEX>${V} _{T}$</TEX> and <TEX>$\mu _{\textsf {eff}}$</TEX> were significantly modulated by the backsubstrate doping and the backbiasing. These observations were explained by the change of carrier distributions, which were confirmed by technology computer-aided design simulation. Furthermore, we investigated the reusability of InP donor substrates for sequential epitaxial growth after ELO process toward a cost-effective M3D integration with the In<SUB>0.53</SUB>Ga<SUB>0.47</SUB>As channel.</P>

<P>The C‐type lectin‐like domain of CLEC14a (CLEC14a‐C‐type lectin‐like domain [CTLD]) is a key domain that mediates endothelial cell–cell contacts in angiogenesis. However, the role of CLEC14a‐CTLD in pathological angiogenesis has not yet been clearly elucidated. In this study, through complementarity‐determining region grafting, consecutive deglycosylation, and functional isolation, we generated a novel anti‐angiogenic human monoclonal antibody that specifically targets CLEC14a‐CTLD and that shows improved stability and homogeneity relative to the parental antibody. We found that this antibody directly inhibits CLEC14a‐CTLD‐mediated endothelial cell–cell contact and simultaneously downregulates expression of CLEC14a on the surface of endothelial cells. Using various <I>in vitro</I> and <I>in vivo</I> functional assays, we demonstrated that this antibody effectively suppresses vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)‐dependent angiogenesis and tumor angiogenesis of SNU182 human hepatocellular carcinoma, CFPAC‐1 human pancreatic cancer, and U87 human glioma cells. Furthermore, we also found that this antibody significantly inhibits tumor angiogenesis of HCT116 and bevacizumab‐adapted HCT116 human colorectal cancer cells. These findings suggest that antibody targeting of CLEC14a‐CTLD has the potential to suppress VEGF‐dependent angiogenesis and tumor angiogenesis and that CLEC14a‐CTLD may be a novel anti‐angiogenic target for VEGF‐dependent angiogenesis and tumor angiogenesis.</P>

<P>Defect less semiconductor-on-insulator (-OI) by a cost-effective and low-temperature process is strongly needed for monolithic 3-D integration. Toward this, in this paper, we present a cost-effective fabrication of the indium gallium arsenide-OI structure featuring the direct wafer bonding (DWB) and epitaxial lift-off (ELO) techniques as well as the reuse of the indium phosphide donor wafer. We systematically investigated the effects of the prepatterning of the III-V layer before DWB and surface reforming (hydrophilic) to speed up the ELO process for a fast and high-throughput process, which is essential for cost reduction. Thismethod provides an excellent crystal quality of In0.53Ga0.47As on Si. Crystal quality of the film was evaluated using Raman spectra, and transmission electron microscope. Finally, we achieved good electrical properties of In0.53Ga0.47As-OImetal-oxide-semiconductorfield-effect-transistors fabricated through the proposed DWB and ELO.</P>
