        기본대칭다항식으로의 매개를 통한 부등식의 생성 및 증명에 대한 연구

        In this paper we study generating and proving methods of symmetric inequalities. We analyze various literatures related with proofs of symmetric inequalities. As a result, we can describe generating method of symmetric inequalities, and suggest some symmetric inequalities that are generated by using parameterization to elementary symmetric polynomials. And we are able to classify some proving methods, and show proofs of symmetric inequalities.

      • 사료 내 새우가용성추출물(shrimp soluble extract) 첨가가 흰다리새우 (Litopenaeus vannamei)의 성장, 면역력 및 소화율에 미치는 영향

        This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of dietary supplementation with shrimp soluble extract (SSE) on growth performance, feed utilization, innate immunity and digestibility of Pacific white shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei. A basal diet (Con) was formulated and three other diets were prepared with SSE supplementation at different levels of 1, 2 and 4% (designated as SSE1, SSE2 and SSE4, respectively). Triplicate groups of shrimp (1.20±0.01 g) were fed one of the experimental diets for 6 weeks. At the end of the feeding trial, growth performance and feed utilization of the shrimp were significantly improved by dietary supplementation of SSE4 compared to those of shrimp fed the Con diet. Shrimp fed SSE4 diet had significantly higher phagocytic activity than shrimp fed the Con diet. Dietary supplementation of SSE improved the protein and dry matter digestibility of shrimp. These results indicate that SSE can be used as a functional additive in the diets for Pacific white shrimp.

        Identification of Compound Heterozygous Mutation in a Korean Patient with Alpha 1-antitrypsin Deficiency

        Alpha 1-antitrypsin (AAT) deficiency is a genetic disorder that primarily affects the lungs and liver. While AAT deficiency is one of the most common genetic disorders in the Caucasian population, it is extremely rare in Asians. Here, we report the case of a 36-year- old Korean woman with AAT deficiency who visited the emergency department of our hospital for the treatment of progressive dyspnea that had begun 10 years ago. She had never smoked. Chest computed tomography revealed panlobular emphysema in both lungs, which suggested AAT deficiency. The serum AAT level was 33 mg/dL (reference interval: 90-200 mg/dL). Four exons of the SERPINA1 gene, which is responsible for AAT deficiency, and their flanking regions were analyzed by PCR-direct sequencing. The patient was found to have 1 missense mutation (c.230C>T, p.Ser77Phe; Siiyama) and 1 frameshift mutation (c.1158dupC, p.Glu387ArgfsX14; QOclayton). This is the first Korean case of AAT deficiency confirmed by genetic analysis and the second case of a compound heterozygote of Siiyama and QOclayton, the first case of which was reported from Japan.

        Comparison of the Luminex xTAG Respiratory Viral Panel Fast v2 Assay With Anyplex II RV16 Detection Kit and AdvanSure RV Real-Time RT-PCR Assay for the Detection of Respiratory Viruses

        Background: The accurate and rapid identification of the causative viruses is important for the timely diagnosis and management of respiratory infections. Multiplex molecular diagnostic techniques have been widely adopted to detect respiratory viruses. We compared the results of a newly upgraded, multiplex, molecular bead-based respiratory viral panel (RVP) assay with the results of Anyplex II RV16 detection kit and AdvanSure RV real-time RT-PCR assay. Methods: We tested 254 respiratory specimens and cultured viral strains using the Luminex xTAG RVP Fast v2 assay (Luminex Molecular Diagnostics, Canada) and Anyplex II RV16 detection kit and compared the results. Specimens showing discordant results between the two assays were tested with a AdvanSure RV real-time RT-PCR assay. Results: Of the 254 respiratory specimens, there was total agreement in the results between the xTAG RVP Fast v2 assay and the other real-time PCR assay in 94.1–100% of the specimens. The agreement levels were relatively low (94.1–97.6%) for specimens of adenovirus, coronavirus NL63, and parainfluenza type 3. In comparison to the other assay, the xTAG RVP Fast v2 assay detected a higher number of parainfluenza type 3 (4 cases) and metapneumovirus (9 cases). Conclusions: The xTAG RVP Fast v2 assay showed comparable capabilities compared with the other assays; it will be useful for identifying respiratory viral infections in patients with respiratory symptoms. Clinicians should be aware of the characteristics of the assays they use, since different assays show different detectability for each virus.

        Discrepancies between Human Leukocyte Antigen Registry Typing and Confirmatory Typing Results of Unrelated Hematopoietic Stem Cell Donors

        Background : In unrelated hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, the accuracy of HLA registry typing (RT) of donors is important for timely search and coordination of HLA-matched donors. We analyzed discrepancies between HLA RT and confirmatory typing (CT) results of stem cell donors in Korean and foreign registries. Methods : We analyzed the HLA typing results of 834 donors for whom CT was performed at Seoul National University Hospital between April 1997 and March 2010. For CT, DNA typing was used in majority of the cases and HLA-A and HLA-B serological typing was used in some early cases. The discrepancies between the typing results were analyzed at the serological/generic level. Results : The overall discrepancy rate (RT error rate) was 3.2%, and the rate was similar in the Korean and foreign registries. The discrepancy rates in the Korean and foreign registries were more than 10% in the 1997-2001 searches, but decreased to less than 3% in the 2002-2010 searches. Analysis of 19 cases of RT errors in the Korean registry revealed 3 cases of sample switchover errors and 16 cases of typing errors in one of the HLA-A, HLA-B, or HLA-DR loci. The RT error rate in Japan Marrow Donor Program was lower than those in other foreign registries. Conclusions : The error rate of HLA RT results of unrelated stem cell donors in the Korean registry was similar to those in the foreign registries, and has decreased in the recent searches following the change in the typing method from serological to DNA typing.         그래픽스 하드웨어를 이용한 스윕 곡면의 렌더링

        We present an efficient algorithm for rendering sweep surfaces using programmable graphics hardware. A sweep surface can be represented by a cross-section curve undergoing a spline motion. This representation has a simple matrix-vector multiplication structure that can easily be adapted to programmable graphics hardware. The data for the motion and cross-section curves are stored in texture memory. The vertex processor considers a pair of surface parameters as a vertex and evaluates its coordinates and normal vector with a single matrix multiplication. Using the GPU in this way is between 10 and 40 times as fast as CPU-based rendering. 본 논문에서는 그래픽스 하드웨어를 이용한 스윕 곡면의 효율적인 렌더링 알고리즘을 제안한다. 스윕 곡면은 스플라인 모션을 따라 움직이는 단면 곡선으로 표현된다. 이러한 표현은 행렬과 벡터의 곱으로 계산되며, 이는 프로그래밍이 가능한 그래픽스 하드웨어에 쉽게 적용될 수 있다. 스플라인 모션과 단면 곡선의 정보는 텍스쳐 메모리에 저장된다. 그래픽스 하드웨어의 정점 프로세서는 두 개의 곡면 매개변수를 2차원 정점으로 입력받아 한 번의 행렬 곱셈으로 스윕 곡면의 정점 좌표와 법선 벡터를 계산한다. 제안한 GPU 기반 스윕 곡면의 렌더링은 CPU 기반 렌더링에 비해 10배에서 40배 정도의 속도 향상을 보였다.

        Proposed Imprecision Quality Goals for Urinary Albumin/Creatinine Ratio

        Background: The urinary albumin/creatinine ratio (ACR) is an important indicator of albuminuria. We aimed to estimate ACR uncertainty and its impact on test results and proposed imprecision quality goals based on the estimated uncertainty. Methods: The combined ACR uncertainty was calculated using the individual uncertainties of urinary albumin and creatinine. ACR confidence intervals (CIs) were estimated based on the expanded uncertainty. When the CI contained the ACR category boundary (30 or 300 mg/g), the cases were considered ambiguous. Quality goals for ACR were suggested using the number of ambiguous cases among actual patient results. Results: The number of ambiguous cases resulting from the combined ACR uncertainty was higher than expected based on biological variation (BV) quality goals. When the ACR met BV quality specifications, we estimated that 4.8–15.5% of the results may have been misclassified. To minimize the number of ambiguous results, the minimum, desirable, and optimum quality goals were set at 34.0%, 18.0%, and 4.5%, respectively. Conclusions: We expressed ACR uncertainty using the uncertainties of urinary albumin and creatinine and assessed the impact of this combined uncertainty on the test results. Subsequently, we proposed imprecision quality goals for ACR based on ambiguous results.

      • 블렌딩 곡면의 GPU 기반 렌더링

        Although free-form surfaces can represent smooth shapes with only a few control points contrary to polygonal meshes, graphics hardware does not support surface rendering currently. Since modern programmable graphics pipeline can be used to accelerate various kinds of existing graphics algorithms, this paper presents a method that utilizes the graphics processing unit (GPU) to render blending surfaces with arbitrary topology fast. Surface parameters sampled on the control mesh and geometric data for local surfaces are sent to the graphics pipeline, and then the vertex processor evaluates the surface positions and normals with these data. This method can achieve very high performance rather than CPU-based rendering. 곡면은 다각형 메쉬에 비해 간결한 표현을 가지고 부드러운 형상을 표현할 수 있지만, 현재 그래픽스 하드웨어는 곡면 렌더링을 지원하고 있지 않다. 최근의 GPU를 이용하여 프로그래밍 가능한 그래픽스 파이프라인은 기존의 다양한 그래픽스 알고리즘들을 가속화시키는 데 이용될 수 있기 때문에, 이 논문에서는 GPU 하드웨어를 이용하여 블렌딩을 기반으로 생성된 임의의 위상을 가진 곡면을 빠르게 렌더링하는 방법을 제시한다. 제어 메쉬상에서 샘플링된 매개변수와 지역 곡면을 표현하는 정보들을 그래픽스 파이프라인으로 전달하여, 정점 프로세서에서 이러한 정보들을 가지고 블렌딩된 곡면상의 위치 정보와 노말 벡터를 계산한다. 이러한 방법은 CPU에서 블렌딩 곡면을 계산하는 것보다 훨씬 빠르게 수행된다.

        전산유체역학을 이용한 Airlift MBR 장치 역세척 효율 분석

        In this study, an external backwashing experiment of a flat plate membrane in which internal backwashing is impossible is conducted to derive optimal conditions for backwashing. The experiment envisioned the fabrication and process of a flat MBR column combined with the airlift mode. For backwashing, the membrane recovery rate was calculated by performing an experiment with 50 m3/m2/hr, which is the standard amount of backwashing air injected by the Ministry of Environment. After the experiment, the shear force applied to the membrane was measured through the Computational Fluid Dynamics program to calculate the optimal amount of air, so that energy consumption could be minimized. As a result of the backwashing experiment at 50 m3/m2/hr, the flux was 4.489~12.449 L/m2/hr (average 5.916 L/m2/hr) and the membrane recovery rate was 75.3~95.1% (average 89.0%). appear. After shear force analysis through CFD, the results of calculating the membrane recovery rate according to each air inflow rate were 89.0% at 50 m3/m2/hr, 71.2% at 40 m3/m2/hr, 53.4% at 30 m3/m2/hr, and 35.5 % at 20 m3/m2/hr. %, 17.2% at 10 m3/m2/hr is expected to show a membrane recovery rate. As a result, the highest shear force was shown at 50 m3/m2/hr, and it is judged that the highest shear force will be shown when the position of the separator is 45 cm from the bottom of the device. In addition, it seems that the value of shear force is high when the number of air inlets is large. 본 연구에서는 내부 역세척이 불가능한 평판 막의 외부 역세척 실험을 진행하여 역세척 시 최적의 조건을 도출해 내고 자 한다 . 실험은 Airlift mode를 결합한 평판 MBR 컬럼 제작 및 공정을 구상하였다 . 역세척은 환경부 기준 역세척 공기 주입량인 50m3/m2/hr로 실험을 수행하여 막 회복률을 산정하였다. 실험 진행 후 전산유체역학(Computational Fluid Dynamics) 프로그램을 통해 막에 걸리는 전단력을 측정하여 최적의 공기량을 산출하여 소비되는 에너지를 최소화할 수 있도록 연구를 진행하였다 . 분석 결과 50 m3/m2/hr에서 역세척 실험을 진행한 결과 , Flux 4.489~12.449 L/m2/hr (평균 5.916 L/m2/hr)로 나타났으며 막 회복률은 75.3~95.1% (평균 89.0%)로 나타났다 . CFD를 통한 전단력 분석 후 각 공기 유 입 속도에 따른 막 회복률 산정 결과 50 m3/m2/hr에서 89.0%, 40 m3/m2/hr에서 71.2%, 30 m3/m2/hr에서 53.4%, 20 m3/ m2/hr에서 35.5%, 10 m3/m2/hr에서 17.2%로 막 회복률이 나타날 것으로 예상된다 . 결과적으로 50 m3/m2/hr에서 가장 높 은 전단력을 나타내었으며 분리막의 위치를 장치 하단에서 45cm일 때 가장 높은 전단력을 나타낼 것으로 판단된다 . 또 한, 공기 유입구의 개수가 많을 때 전단력의 수치가 높은 것으로 보인다 .
