        Background : In recent years gonorrhoea has been panendemic and remains one of the most common Sexually Transmitted Diseases in the world, especially in developing countries. Objective & Method : For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of Penicillinase Producing Neisseria Gonorrhoeae(PPNG), Ive have been trying to study the patients who have visited the VD Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by means of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. Results : In 1994, 168 strains of N. gonorrhoeae were isolated, among which 109 (64,9% ) were PPNG. Conclustion : Our results suggests that the prevalence of PPNG in Seoul is still increasing.

      • PCR-RFLP를 이용한 파밤나방 (Spodoptera exigua (Hubner)) 집단간 cytochrome oxidase-Ⅰ 유전좌위의 다형현상

        곤충의 계쩔적 및 지리적 집단 분석을 위해 분자유전지표가 매우 유용하다. 본 연구는 이러한 응용적 목적에 따라 파밤나방 (Spodoptera exigua (Hubner))의 미토콘드리아 DNA를 분석하여 DNA 표식인자를 찾아내는 데 궁극적 목적을 두었다. 분석된 파밤나방의 시료는 시기적으로 다르게 페로몬트랩에서 수거되는 야외 수컷 성충들을 이용하였다. 추출된 DNA시료는 미토콘드리아 DNA의 cytochrome oxidase-I (CO-I) 유전좌위를 대상으로 PCR-RFLP (polymerase chain reaction - restriction fragment length polymorphism) 기법으로 분석되었다. 다형을 보기 위해 이용된 제한효소는 총 8종 (Alu I, Dde I, Hae Ⅲ, Msp I, Nci I, Rsa I, Sau3A, and Taq I)이었다. 이중 Alu I 만이 CO-I 유전좌위에서 다형을 보였다. 이상 결과로서 미토콘드리아 DNA에서 CO-I 유전좌위에 대한 Alu I 이 파밤나방의 분자유전지표로 이용될 수 있음을 제시한다. Molecular genetic markers are useful to analyze seasonal and geographical dynamics of field insect populations. This research was designed to select polymorphic DNA marker(s) in the beet armyworm, Spodoptera exigua (Hubner). Different seasonal populations of field adult males were collected by sex pheromone trap and used for the analysis of PCR-RFLP (polymerase chain reaction - restriction fragment length polymorphism) on cytochrome oxidase-I (CO-I) locus of mitochondrial DNA. Eight differnent restriction enzyrnes (Alu I, Dde Ⅱ, Hae Ⅲ, Msp I, Nci I, Rsa I, Sau3A, and Taq I) were used for digestion of PCR products. Only Alu I had a polymorphism in the restriction fragments of the locus. We propose this restriction site as a DNA marker of the beet armyworm.

      • 정전분무를 이용한 MOCVD에 의해 증착된 TiO_2 박막의 특성 연구

        정전분무(electrostatic spray)를 이용한 MOCVD방법은 원료를 함유하는 용액을 이용함으로써 이송관의 가열이 필요 없이 장치를 간단하게 할 수 있고, 용액의 유량과 전기장의 세기에 따라 초미세 입자제어도 가능하며, 출발 용액으로부터 박막의 조성을 조절할 수 있는 등의 여러 가지 특징을 가지고 있다. 온도가 증가함에 따라 입자성장과 반응가스에 의한 표면의 밀도가 감소하여 표면조도가 증가하였다. 증착 시간이 증가함에 따라 막의 두께는 증가하지만, 증착시간이 지날수록 +전하를 띤 액적들은 이미 생성된 막의 영향으로 -가 인가된 기판으로의 전하이동을 방해받으므로 island성장과 모세관현상의 표면형상은 거칠고, porous해졌다. 인가전압이 증가할수록 분무시 액적의 사이즈가 작아지므로 막의 표면은 치밀해졌으며, 표면에는 완전분무하지 못한 모액적에 의해 생긴 입자의 수도 적은 경향을 보였다. 산소 분말이 증가할수록 Ti와 O의 세기는 증가하나, C의 세기는 감소하는 경향을 보였다. The electrostatic spray assisted MOCVD has the advantages of simple apparatus without the gas lines, easy control of nano-sized droplets by applied voltage and solution rates and easy control of compositions of thin films by controlling the composition of starting solution. At lower deposition temperatures the morphology of the layers are less porous and rough. With increasing deposition time and thus increasing layer thickness the morphologies of the layers are shift to porous top layer with dense bottom layer and then porous top layer with big sized grain of bottom layer as the result of low growth rates. XPS can be seen that Ti and O intensity increases but C intensity decreses with increasing O_2 flow rates.

      • 전치 유도각의 인위적 증가에 의한 저작근과 하악 운동 양상의 변화에 대한 연구

        This study' was performed to measure the changes of the mandibular movement and the masticatory muscular activities anterior temporal and masseter muscle of both side - reflected by intentional increase of anterior guidance angle. For this study, 5 volunteers (3 males and 2 females with average age of 24.0) were selected. Each volunteer had Angle's classification I and did not have any missing tooth except third molar and any extensive restorations. Metallic guide plate was made at volunteer's working model fabricated by improved dental stone and cemented to the palatal surface of maxillary central incisor using resin cement(Panavia 21�) and then adjusted not to give any occlusal interferences at intercuspal position. The activity of masticatory muscles and the changes of mandibular movement were recorded by EMG and Sirognathograph in Biopak analysing system(Bioresearch Inc., Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA). Measurement was done at before experiment, irnmediatley after placement, 1 week after placement, immediately after removal, and 1 week after removal. The results were as follows: 1. Moderate phonetic disturbance and mild headache were occured to 3 volunteers for 2 days after setting and l volunteer had positive reaction to percussion and slight midline diastema. But all of these clinical signs were diappeared 1 week after removal and the other volunteer did not have any special clinical sign. 2. In the EMG of the mandibular rest position, the mean value of anterior tempotal muscle was increased immediately after placement(p<0.01) and then decreased 1 week after placement(p<0.05) and increased 1 week after removal(p<0.05) but not recovered as before experiment. The mean value of masseter muscle was decreased during the experiment period: 3. In the EMG during mandibular protrusive movement, all muscular activity was decreased during the experiment period. Reduced activity was not recovered I week after? removal(p<0.05). 4. During the habitual opening, anteroposterior movement of mandible was decreased immediately after place ment(p<0.05) and then increased 1 week after placement but not statistically significant(p>0.1). Vertical movement was not shown significant difference during the experiment period(p>0.1). Lateral movement was decreased immediately after placement(p<:0.05) and then increased 1 week after placement but not recovered as before experiment. The opening and closing velocity of mandible was shown minor changes but not statistically significant. 5. During the habitual opening, anteroposterior movement of mandible was decreased 1 week after placement(p<0.(6) and then increased immediately after removal and recovered 1 week after removal as before experiment. Vertical movement was not shown significant changes. Lateral displacement of mandible was increased continuously and recovered 1 week after removal. Opening velocity was temporarily increased immediately after removal but recovered and closing velocity was not shown significant changes. 6. During the right side chewing, anteroposterior movement of mandible was increased immediately after removal but recovered and vertical movement was not shown statistically significant results. Lateral displacement and velocity o mandible were not shown significant results. 7. During the left side chewing, the changes of mandibular movement pattern were not shown statistically significant results.

      • N-Arylnortropinone 유도체의 합성연구

        Tropinone 화합물들은 색다른 고리계의 존재로 아주 오래전부터 약리학적으로 매우 흥미로운 연구과제로 주목되어 최근에 그들의 합성법,?? 입체적 구조분석?? 그리고 약리학적인 연구??가 활발히 진행되고 있다. Tropinone 1은 흔히 마약으로 알려져 있는 cocaine 2, 소염작용과 항경련성 작용 및 심장박동수를 조절 등 다양한 약리작용을 하는 tropane spirohy-dantoin ?? 그리고 안과질환을 검사 할 때 눈의 동공을 확장시키는 데 사용하는 atropine ??등을 합성하는 데 중요한 중간체이다. ??????????? Trigo, G, G등 ??은 aliphatic amine과 succinic aldehyde를 acetonedicarboxylic acid와 반응하여 nortropane 유도체를 합성하였으며, 그 후 [3+2] nitrone cycloaddition? 과 [3+4] cyclocoupling? 을 거치는 tropane alkaloid의 새로운 합성법이 개발되었다. 최근 lzquier M. L. 등¹은 acetonedicarboxylic acid를 사용하여 1차 지방족 amine과 succinic aldehyde대신 2,5-dimethoxytetrahydrofuran을 반응시켜 N-alkyl nortropinone 유도체를 합성하였다. 그러나 일반적으로 빙초산 속에서 amine과 2,5-dimethoxytetrahydrofuran을 반응시키면 pyrrole 유도체가 합성되어진다.?? 이러한 사실은 분명히 반응조건(예, 산, 온도)에 따른 다양한 화학이 존재한다고 볼 수 있다. 따라서 우리는 반응조건, 즉 산의 변화 및 온도 변화에 의한 amine과 2,5-dimethoxytetrahydrofuran의 반응을 자세하게 검토하면서 새로운 N-arylnortropinone 유도체를 합성하고자 한다.

      • 지속형 항응고성 살서제 중독에 기인한 뇌실질출형 1예

        저자들은 brodifacoum성분의 지속형 효과를 갖은 항응고제인 쿠마린계 살서제를 정확한 용량을 추정할 수는 없지만 다회의 약물 복용 17일 후 뇌실질출혈이 발생한 증례를 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. 지금껏 쿠마린계의 지속형 항응고성 살서제의 약물 중독이 알려져 있다. 이러한 약물은 vitamin K₁ 2,3-epoxide 환원효소를 억제하여 vitamin K₁과 연속적으로 vitamin K₁ 의존성 응고인자 Ⅱ, Ⅶ, Ⅸ, Ⅹ의 합성을 억제하고 이로써 출혈 경향을 증가시킨다. 이 증례를 토대로 향후 출혈성 환자 특히 선행 질환이 없는 젊은 뇌실질출혈 환자에서 원인을 감별진단 함에 있어 환자의 약물 중독 가능성과 치료에 대한세심한 주의가 필요할 것으로 생각한다. Spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage is one-tenth of all strokes and represents relatively high frequency and morbidity. Hypertension is the most common cause of spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage and other causes are vascular malformation, intracerebral amyloid angiopathy, hemorrhagic infarction, blood diseases and drug abuse. Some peoples have the intoxication of drug such as long-acting anticoagulant of rodenticides, family of cumarin, that inhibit vitamin K₁ 2,3-epoxide reductase, the synthesis of vitamin K₁ and subsequently vitamin K₁ dependent clotting factors Ⅱ, Ⅶ, Ⅸ, and Ⅹ. Finally these make prolonged PT, INR and aPTT, which are prone to trigger bleeding tendency. We report a rare case of intracerebral hemorrhage maybe caused by after frequent intended ingestion of long-acting anticoagulant rodenticide(brodifacoum) for suicide.

        비대칭 안모의 치험 2례

        Facial asymmetry can be most distressing for the young child and parents. It can cause functional problems as a result of malocclusion. Classification of facial asymmetry has not been yet well-organized because of its varieties on etiologic factors, involved sites and clinical expressions. Even though, we don’t know its causes definitely. It is generally believed that problems with aberrant pattern of condylar growth are related to facial asymmetry. This is a case report on surgical correction of the patients who had severe facial asymmetry. One patient was diagnosed as condylar hyperplasia and the other was diagnosed as a condylar hypoplasia related to trauma. We performed a simultaneous two-jaw surgery, condylar shaving, inferior border ostectomy of affected mandible in the former case, and a simultaneous two-jaw surgery, reverse-L osteotomy and alloplastic implantation with Biocoral in the latter case. The postoperative results of the two cases were excellent functionally and esthetically.

        Since the residential load is an AC load and the output of solar cell is a DC power, the photovoltaic system needs the DC/AC converter to utilize solar cell. In case of driving to interact with utility line, in order to operate at unity power factor, converter must provide the sinusoidal wave current and voltage with same phase of utility line. Since output of solar cell is greatly fluctuated by insolation, it is necessary that the operation of solar cell output in the range of the vicinity of maximum power point. In this paper, DC/AC converter is three phase PWM converter with smoothing reactor. And then, feedforward control used to obtain a superior characteristic for current control and digital PLL circuit used to detect the phase of utility line.
