The objective of this paper is to clarify the architectural characteristics of the Korean-Western eclectic houses at Ojeong-dong Missionary Village in Daejeon city, focused on the spatial and structural changes due to eclecticism. The consequences of the comparative analysis between the eclectic houses and two reference buildings, Myeongjae residence and Moore house, are as follows. The diverse aspects due to eclecticism can be summarized as two concepts; transformation and simplification. The transformation has appeared in the characteristic spatial elements such as an-madang, entrance and corridor, in the territory organization and the connection between building and yard, and in the roof and wall structures. The simplification has appeared in the layering of the building space, and in the joint of roof and wall. The methods of eclecticism and the resultant aspects from them that are clarified through this study are expected to be referred in examining the new possibilities of the hanok.

The purpose of research in this paper is to achieve adequate distribution of water in the plan of utilizing groundwater for irrigation by selecting important factors that greatly influences water-balance of groundwater in irrigated area and researching into mutual relations among those factors. Even though there have been many researches on the whole water-balance, there are still few researches on it within the area of an alluvial layer. Therefore, it is necessary to reveal the water-balance of ground-water in an alluvial layer by means of analizing into each factor of water-balance. As the method of research, 1 applied my own newly adjusted formula with the selected factors that are liable to influence the water-balance of the area in these researches through examining the water-balance formula in common area and that of irrigated area. The factors that influences water-balance are as follows :precipitation, evaporation, the amount of ground water reservoir, and so on. The amounts of precipitation from 1985 to 1987 were quoted from the date in Ichon's auxiliary Station of Meteorological Observatory, the amounts of evapotranspitation were calculated with that of the surface of paddy leaf for the research area belonging to paddy fields. And to measure the amount of groundwater reservoir, 7 wells were selected ailed at each well once a week ground water level, depth of well, temperature of water, and PH. were measured. The Results of analizing this research ale as follows: a) The actual storage amounts of outflow in irrigated area is 397mm when marked by water column, and it is equal to 19 percent of the whole amounts of outflow in the area. b) It turned out that ground-water is more important water resources than precipitation in industry within the research area. c) The storage of groundwater from precipitation and inflow did not flow out to other area and was mostly utilized in irrigation. It comes to the conclusion that when the said my newly adjusted formula based on water-balance formula by Siline-Bekcourine for all factors in the research paddy area, goundwater has significant utility as agricultural water resources in irrigated area containing an alluvial aquifer. Therefore, if there is an alluvial aquifer within any irrigated area in our country, Korea, in analizing any water-balance, I dare say that it may be available to apply the water-balance formula induced from this research.

Radioactive material detection system consists of radiation detector, preamplifier, main applifier, high voltage suply device, gas suply device, timer/counter and personal computer. In this paper, detctor and preamplifier of this system were designed and then performance esting was done. This detector adopted to gas(P-10) flowing type, 6 multi-wires made of stainless steel outside its case. The preamplifier transduces a signal from the detector to shaping voltage pulse and goes through electric counting system. Electric counting system measures this voltage pulse and then gives information about radiation energy. As the results of performance testing, radiation detector's efficiencies for alpha-ray energy, beta-ray energy and gamma-ray energy were 22.5%, 35.4% and 36.0%, respectively, according to electric field distribution based on theoretical method and decision of operating voltage. These fine results were obtained that detection efficiency of alpha, beta and gamma ray have a little difference respectively when compared with other foreign commercialized detector of similar type. Also, shaping voltage pulse of preamplifier was obtained from oscilloscope, as shown in section 2.5.3 this paper.
인삼(人蔘)이 Cyclosporin A로 유발(誘發)된 백서(白鼠)의 신손상(腎損傷)에 미치는 영향(影響)

Purpose : This study is to find out the Ginseng Radix extract on rats nephrotoxicity when the rates were induced by Cs A. Methods : The experimental animals were divided into 3 groups and treated as follows: nothing was given to Sample A, Sample B was given normal saline after an I.V. injection of Cs A, and Sample C was given Ginseng Radix extract after a Cs A injection. The groups were observed for 14 days. After the prescription of the medicines, the following levels were tested: serum BUN, creatinine, total protein, sodium, potassium, and chloride ions. Results : 1. Changes in serum level. The levels of GPT, GOT, and BUN were significantly reduced in the experimental group when compared with those of the control group. The total protein level showed significant elevation when compared with those of the control group. The chloride level in the serum in the sample group was insignificantly reduced. The creatinine level was insignificantly increased. The Potassium level decreased, mildly. The Sodium and The Potassium levels in the serum in the sample group showed insignificantly lower levels than those of the control group. 2. Changes in the urine level. Urine specific gravity showed a significant increase, on the 14th day, in the experimental group when compared with that of the control group. The urinary ceatinine levels showed and insignificant increase, followed by an insignificant decrease. Conclusion : It can be inferred that Ginseng Radix may improve nephrotoxicity and hepatoxicity in rats when induced by Cyclosporin A.
