      • Development of a Mobile Application, "Wild Flowers of Bukhansan National Park (version 1.0)", for Identification of Plants in Bukhansan National Park

        We developed the educational purpose mobile application, named "Wild Flowers of Bukhansan National Park (version 1.0)", aiming for easy identification of wild flowers for students and visitors in the park. When visitors find a flower or part of plant in the park, visitors can search for its name utilizing the pictures and characters provided in their own smartphone mobile devices or tablet PCs. The application provides pictures of wild flowers in the park and character-based searching system based on 12 diagnostic features (e.g., growth form, leaf arrangement, flower symmetry, petal color, petal number, sepal number, etc). We adopted the complete floristic survey of Chung and Lee (1962) and added species that we confirmed their distribution in the park during the development of this application. In summary, number of vascular plants in this park was estimated to be 428 taxa including 100 families, 280 genera, 327 species, 1 subspecies, 50 varieties, and 5 formas. We provided a total of 588 pictures representing 358 taxa and each taxon includes multiple pictures in many cases. Included identification quizzes can be an efficient educational tool as well as fun activity for students and visitors who are learning plant species in Korea. Our next step will include GPS function in the application for indicating visitor's location and for providing previously reported sites of the species that we interested in the map of the park. The future application which includes GPS function will be a valuable tool for the monitoring of rare plants, plant researches related to the climate changes, etc. We currently provide Korean iPhone version only, and English version and both of android versions will be serviced soon.

        축구선수의 Detraining과 Retraining이 혈청지질 및 호르몬농도에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of detraining and retraining on serum lipid and hormones in soccer players. Subjects were seven male high-school soccer players. V˙O_2max was determined for each subjects by administering a treadmill test(initial speed: 90m/min, grade: 5%, increasing speed per 3 min: 30m/min). Serum lipid(T-C, TG, HDL-C LDL-C) and hormones(epinephrine, norepinephrine, growth hormones, cortisol) were assayed pre and post detraining in 10, 20, 30 days after retraining. The repeated ANOVA was used to determine significant differences. The 0.05 level of significance was as critical level for the study. The results of the study were as follows: 1. V˙O_2max(ml/min) were 3576.3±204.2ml/min pre detraining, 3234.1±198.9 ml/min post detraining. There are significant(p<.05) difference between pre and post detraining. In 10, 20, 30 days after retraining, V˙O_2max(ml/min) were 3601.4±170.9 ml/min. There were significantly(p<.05) increased in retraining periods. 2. V˙O_2max(ml/kg/min) were significantly(p<.05) decreased from 62.3±2.9 ml/kg/min to 55.9±4.7 ml/kg/min in detraining. In 10, 20, 30 days after retraining, V˙O_2max(ml/kg/min) were 62.4±3.4ml/kg/min, 62.7±2.3ml.kg/min, 67.3±7.2ml/kg/min respectively. There were significantly(p<.05) increased in retraining periods. 3. T-C were significantly (p<.05) increased from 166.6±8.5mg/dl to 175.3±10.3 mg/dl in detraining. In 10, 20, 30 days after retraining, T-C were 160.1± 3.2mg/dl, 156.7±3.7mg/dl, 140.3±9.0mg/dl. There were significantly(p<.05) decreased in retraining periods. 4. HDL-C were 61.4±6.6mg/di pre detraining, 5.3±6.6mg/dl post detraining. There are significant(p<.05) difference between pre and post detraining. In 10, 20, 30 days after retraining, HDL-C were 56.9±7.1mg/dl, 56.4±9.2mg/dl, 57.7±9.1mg/dl respectively. There were no significant difference in retraining periods. 5. The hormones(epinephrine. norepinephrine, growth hormone, cortisol) were changed as same patterns. Epinephrine were 26.0±7.0[g/ml pre detraining, 24.6±3.2pg/ml post detraining. In 10, 20, 30 days after retraining, epinephrine were 26.9±5.6pg/ml, 30.6±6.2pg/ml, 29.4±5.6pg/ml respectively. There were no significant difference in retraining periods. In conclusion, HDL-C, epinephrine, norepinephrine, growth hormone and cortisol were decreased, T-C, LDL-C and TG were increased in detraining. But HDL-C, epinephrine, norepinephrine, growth hormone and cortisol were increased, T-C, LDL-C and TG were decreased in retraining.

        The rs196952262 Polymorphism of the AGPAT5 Gene is Associated with Meat Quality in Berkshire Pigs

        High-quality meat is of great economic importance to the pig industry. The 1-acylglycerol-3- phosphate-O-acyltransferase 5 (AGPAT5) enzyme converts lysophosphatidic acid to phosphatidic acid in the mitochondrial membrane. In this study, we found that the porcine AGPAT5 gene was highly expressed in muscle tissue, influencing meat characteristics, and we also identified a non-synonymous single-nucleotide polymorphism (nsSNP) (rs196952262, c.673 A>G) in the gene, associated with a change of isoleucine 225 to valine. The presence of this nsSNP was significantly associated with meat color (lightness), lower cooking loss, and lower carcass temperatures 1, 4, and 12 h after slaughter (items T1, T4, and T12 on the recognized quality scale, respectively), and tended to increase backfat thickness and the waterholding capacity. These results suggest that nsSNP (c.673A>G) of the AGPAT5 gene is a potential genetic marker of high meat quality in pigs.

        후두적출자의 의사소통 태도

        본 연구는 후두적출자의 주된 발성방법과 후두적출 경과 시기에 따른 의사소통 태도를 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구의 대상은 성인 남자 55명으로 후두암으로 인한 후두적출자들로 구성되었다. 이들에게 실시한 의사소통 태도 설문지는 Erickson의 의사소통 태도 척도-수정판(Modified Erickson Scale of Communication Attitudes: S-24)을 본 연구에 맞게 수정 보완하여 사용하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 첫째, 주된 발성방법에 따라서는 인공후두기 사용자와 식도발성자간의 의사소통 태도에 차이가 없었다. 둘째, 후두적출 경과 시기에 따라 10년 초과된 후두적출자들과 10년 이하의 후두 적출자들 간의 의사소통 태도에 차이가 없었다. 그러므로 이들의 의사소통 태도의 긍정적 태도를 증가시키기 위하여 다양한 방법을 활용하고 습득하여 이들의 의사소통 능력을 빠르게 재습득 하여 긍정적인 의사소통 능력을 가질 수 있도록 해야 한다. The purpose of this study was to determine laryngectomee's communication attitude. 55 laryngectomees, who were in the range of 40 years old to 80 years old participated in the study. Communication attitude measurements were taken by S-24(Modified Erickson Scale of Communication Attitudes). The results showed as follows: First, score of laryngectomees with artificial larynx and esophageal speakers were no significant. Second, score of laryngectomees with over 10 years after latyngectomy and 10 years after latyngectomy were no significant.

        통합교육의 한 방법론으로서의 협력 교수 : 개념과 실행에 관한 논의 A methodology for inclusive education

        통합교육의 실제적 적용이 확대되면서 교사간 협력의 한 방법인 협력교수에 대한 관심도 증가하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 문헌 연구를 통해 협력교수의 개념 및 실행에 관하여 논의함으로써 통합교육 현장의 교사들을 위한 이론적 틀을 제공하고자 하였다. 첫째로 협력교수의 개념 및 특성을 고찰함으로써 다른 교사간 협력 모델과의 차이를 살펴보고, 협력교수의 필요성 및 기대효과에 관하여 논의하였다. 둘째로, 협력교수를 성공적으로 실행하기 위한 고려점 및 지침들을 고찰하였으며, 다양한 하위 유형들을 설명하고, 협력교수를 위한 계획에 대하여 살펴보았다. 셋째로 협력교수를 실행한 결과에 대한 연구들을 통하여 협력교수 실행 시의 어려운 점들에 대하여 고찰하고, 마지막으로 협력교수 실행에 있어서의 추가적인 논의점에 대하여 살펴보았다. Cooperative teaching, in which a general educator and a special educator(or related service personnel) teach together simultaneously in a general education classroom composed of academically heterogeneous students, has rapidly emerged as an effective way to facilitate the inclusion of students with diverse educational needs. This article provided comprehensive review about cooperative teaching including the definition of and rationale for co-teaching, guidelines for effective co-teaching, various types of co-teaching, planning for co-teaching, and barriers for successful co-teaching. Additional discussion was provided regarding issues in the decision of co-teaching time and amount, co-teaching participants(both teachers and students), and the relationship among inclusion, teacher collaboration, and co-teaching.

        지체부자유아동의 교육을 위한 팀 접근법

        지체부자유아동을 위한 교육이 보조공학, 보완대체의사소통 등과 같이 정차로 많은 관련전문인들과의 협력을 요구하는 방향으로 발전해감에 따라 효과적인 교육을 위한 팀 구성과 운영에 대한 연구가 증가하고 있다. 본 고에서는 이러한 팀 접근법에 관한 기초적 개념과 최근 지체부자유아 교육에 팀접근법이 어떻게 도입 및 발전되고 있는가를 살펴보고 효과적인 팀 접근법 운영의 방해요인들을 구성원간의 관계에 관련된 요인, 팀의 구조적 요인 등으로 나누어 고찰하였다. 또한 지체부자유아교육에 있어서의 최상의 실제중 한 요인으로 논의되고 있는 이러한 팀 접근법을 한국 지체부자유아 교육 상황에서 적용하고자 할 때의 문제점을 관련서비스의 개념 및 전문인 양성, 교육전달체계의 측면에서 분석하였다. Educational Team Approach for Students with Physical Disabilities Recently, professionals have largely redefined what constitutes an appropriate education for students with physical disabilities. Many of these changes include adoption of a collaborative, rather than individualistic approach to service provision. This paper examined the conceptual framework of team approach and current trend in educational team approach for students with physical disabilities. First, overview of team approach, including definitions, rationale, and description of subtypes, was provided. Second, as a best practice of educational team approach for students with physical and severe disabilities, transdisciplinary team approach was discussed. Third, based on transdisciplinary team model, critical features and challenges for effective implementation, were discussed. Finally, implication for Korean special education practice for students with physical disabilities were discussed.

        대학생의 의류쇼핑성향과 청바지 구매 시 점포선택

        The purposes of this study were to classify shopper types based on clothing shopping orientations and to identify the differences in store selection criteria and demographic characteristics by shopper types. The questionnaire was administered to female and male undergraduate and graduate students living in Seoul. Of 330 returned questionnaires, 319 were used in the statistical analysis which were factor analysis, cluster analysis, x²-test, and One-way ANOVA. The results of this study were as follows: 1) Clothing shopping orientations had six factors: recreational shopping, name conscious shopping, economic shopping, fashion oriented shopping, convenience shopping, and individualistic shopping. Cluster analysis identified that clothing shopping orientations had four groups: recreational cluster, individualistic cluster, demanding shopper cluster, and convenient brand conscious shopper cluster. 2) Clothing shopping orientations were significantly different in relation to the demographic characteristics such as gender, major field of study, expenditure on clothing, pocket money, and family income level. 3) Store selection criteria had five factors: service quality, physical store environment, sales personnel, shopping convenience, and other attractions. 4) There were significant differences in physical store environment, shopping convenience, and other attractions according to the shopper clusters.

      • 학교보건업무 정보화에 대한 양호교사의 태도 및 요구 분석

        The purpose of this study was to serve as a basis for building school health care information system, by examining school nurse attitude to that system and school nurse needs for the same. The subjects in this study were 250 school nurses in Seoul and Kyonggi Province, who were surveyed from August 26 through October 5, 2000. The test instrument was designed, through literature review, to measure the actual state of school health care information project and school nurse attitude to and need for the same. The data collected from all the subjects were analyzed with SAS(statistical analysis system), and frequency and percentage were calculated. Besides, x^2 (Chi-square) test, t-test, one-way ANOVA and Pearson's correlation coefficient analysis procedures were employed. The results of the study were as follows: 1. concerning the possession of computer by school grade, Pentium 3 was prepared in 86.2%of elementary schools, 79.7% of middle schools and 84.8% of high schools, which showed most schools possessed Pentium 3. the LAN was installed in 62.3% of elementary schools, 60.8% of middle schools and 80.4% of high schools. 2. 44.8% of the school nurses utilized school health care system, and 95.2% used SA(Stand-Alone)system health record program. 44.8% utilized C/S(Client-Server)system health record program, and 46% offered multimedia health instruction. The Internet was used by 88%. 3. The attitude of the school nurses to school health care information system was scored 3.54. Those who used computer more(P=0.001), had higher stronger need for computer education (P=0.001) unveiled more positive attitude. 4. The needs of the school nurses for school health care information system was scored 4.33. The nurses who were better educated(P=0.004) or had less school nurse career(P=0.036) expressed higher needs for that system. Also, more use of computer(P=0.001), better knowledge of computer(P=0.033), and higher needs for computer education (P=0.000) were all followed by stronger needs for school health care information system. 5. There was a significant positive correlational relationship between theri attitude for that system and their needs for the same. More positive attitude led to higher need. To set up school health care information system at an early date, school nurses have to be involved in that project more aggressively with positive attitude. In addition, sufficient computer equipments should be supplied, and more opportunities to take computer education and training should be provided for school nurses on a regular basis.

      • 만성 호중구성 백혈병 1예

        Chronic neutrophilic leukemia(CNL) is a very rare myeloproliferative disease, characterized by sustained mature neutrophilic leukocytosis with granulocytic bone marrow infiltration, high NAP(neutrophilic alkaline phosphatase) score and absence of philadelphia chromosome, It is frequently accompanied by hepatosplenomegaly, elevated serum vitamin B_12 and uric acid level. For the diagnosis of CNL, the leukemoid reaction, especially secondary to neoplasia, infection and autoimmune diseases, should be excluded. Since Tuohy's first description in 1920, more than 50 cases fullfilling the above criteria have been reported worldwide, and 4 cases in Korea. Several authors have demonstrated the defect of intracellualr killing in the mature neutrophil and this finding correlates well with the very high incidence of fatal infection, The hemorrhagic diasthesis in CNL is caused by functional abnormality of the platelet. This disease has tendency to transform to blastic crisis and acute leukemia as in other myeloproliferative disease, but characteristically shows frequent coexistence with multiple myeloma. Until now , the therapeutic trials in CNL have been disappointing. Hydroxyrea and busulfan can control hyperleukocytosis. On the basis of functional defect in neutrophil, alpha-2b-interferon has been tried and several reports have demonstrated the clinical and functional effect of interferon on CNL. CNL is very rate hematologic disease and there are few report about general aspect of disorder. We report here a typical CNL case presenting with splenomegaly and leukocytosis with a review of the literature.

        장애학생을 위한 보완·대체의사소통 교수-학습방법에 관한 고찰

        장애학생을 위한 보완 대체의사소통에 관한 국내의 연구들은 기초조사 및 특정 교수방법에 대한 적용효과를 검증한 연구들이 주를 이루었다. 본 연구에서는 AAC사용자의 대부분을 이루는 의사소통의 초기 발달 수준에 있는 중도장애학생들에게 AAC를 적용할 때 중요하게 다루어지는 요구하기 행동의 교수와 음성출력보조도구의 사용을 중심으로 선행연구들에서 제시하는 교수-학습방법에 대하여 고찰하고, 최근의 AAC 교수-학습방법에 대한 외국의 실험연구들에 대한 분석을 통하여 국내의 AAC 적용 및 연구에 대한 시사점을 찾고자 하였다. The purpose of this study is to review and synthesize research about AAC teaching-learning strategies with focus on teaching requesting and using VOCA. Findings suggest that instructional consideration should be given to different categories of requesting behaviors, role of motivation and communication partners in teaching requesting, strengthening learners' nonsymbolic requesting behaviors, and teaching in natural context with natural instructional strategies. Also, role of VOCA in AAC instruction was generally positive, especially in relation to learning of symbols and requesting behaviors. Review of previous experimental research about AAC teaching-learning also yield several information; diversity of AAC users (diagnosis, age, communication ability), use of natural instructional strategy, partner training, and systematic instructional principles, and use of sigle subject research design.
