      • 결핵성 육아종에서 Thioredoxin peroxidase-2 의 발현

        Background: Thioredoxin peroxidase(TPX) is a kind of recently discovered antioxidant enzyme which react as rapid hydrogen ion donor for the removal of hydroperoxide. The action and distribution of the TPX was poorly understood in the human diseases. This experiments were designed for the study about the distribution of the TPX in the chronic granulomatous inflammation and about the correlation between the expression of TPX and the site of inflammation, histological activities of tuberculous inflammation or existence of mycobacterium in the inflammatory foci. Methods: The immunohistochemical stains were performed for the localization of the TPX-2 in the epithelioid cells, giant cells and lymphocytes in the chronic granulomatous inflammation. The tissue sections were obtained from the paraffin blocks of the 54 cases of tuberculosis (lung 21 cases, lymph node 12 cases, bone and soft tissue 12 cases, kidney 9 cases; active 33 cases, inactive 21 cases by the histologic classification; presence of mycobacterium 15 cases, no mycobacterium 39 cases by PCR reaction). Results: The expression of TPX-2 was 16.7% in the giant cells, 27.8% in the epithelioid cells and 100% in the lymphocytes of tuberculous inflammations. The expression of TPX-2 in the giant cells and epithelioid cells of the tuberculosis were 28.6% and 57.1% of the pulmonary tuberculosis; 33.3% in each cells of the renal tuberculosis; 0% in each cells of the lymph node or bone and soft tissue tuberculosis. The expression of TPX-2 in the giant cells and epithelioid cells were 9.1% in each cells of the active tuberculosis and were 28.6% and 57.1% in each cells of the inactive tuberculosis by histologic classification. The expression of TPX-2 in the giant cells and epithelioid cells was 40% in each cells of tuberculosis which mycobacteria were detected and the expression of TPX-2 was 7.7% and 23.1% in each cells which mycobacteria were not detected by PCR reaction in the paraffin embedded tissue. Conclusions: The above results were summarized that the TPX-2 in the giant cells and epithelioid cells were more frequently expressed in the inactive tuberculosis than in the active tuberculosis. These results suggest that the TPX-2 is a kind of regulating or suppressing factors in the activity of the tuberculosis.

      • 악성림프종 환자에서 복합화학요법으로 유발된 백혈구 감소증에 대한 인형 재조합 과립구 집락형성-촉진인자(rhG-CSF: Neutrogin)의 효과

        Clinical effects of rhG-CSF were investigated in 17 patients receiving chemotherapy for non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Patients were given G-CSF 2㎍/㎏/day after 2nd cycle chemotherapy for least 14 consecutive days, and clinical and laboratory results were compared to results of the first cycle. Treatment with G-CSF resulted in increase of mean WBC count(952.9±152.2㎜³vs 1882.4±350.4/㎜³) and neutrophil count(212.9±53.0/㎜³vs 841.5±238.0/㎜³), reduced the duration of leukocytopenic days(12.4±1.3 days vs 5.5±1.0 days, WBC count less than 4000/㎜³) and neutropenic days(4.5±0.9 days vs 2.3±0.7 days, neutrophil count less than 500/㎜³), and reduced the duration of neutropenic fever(5.8±1.1 days vs 0.9±0.5 days). The side effects of G-CSF were not so significant. These results demonstrated that G-CSF is safe and useful for the treatment of neutropenia induced by anticancer chemotherapy of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and reducing the incidence of febrile periods and duration of antibiotic administration.

      • 2017년 하반기 신라대학교 ‘부산의 하루’ 수강생 및 재학생 대상 설문조사의 분석(Ⅰ) : 종교, 부모의 고향 그리고 부산의 발전과 미래에 대한 인식을 중심으로

        As a result of analyzing the questionnaire about 212 people born in Busan, non-religion was the most with 61.8%, 20.3% Buddhism, 10.4% Protestant and 6.1% Catholic. These ratios were roughly similar to those of the past. However, the proportion of Buddhism was somewhat lower than that of the past, and the proportion of Catholicism was high. Fathers’ hometown was Busan (53.3%) and Gyeongnam (29.7%). Daegu and Gyeongbuk were 4.2% and 4.7% respectively. mothers's home is Busan's 51.4%, and Gyeongnam's 25%, so Busan and Gyeongnam has an overwhelming weight. There was a positive response to the questionnaire on the development and future of Busan. It was optimistic that the questionnaire on 'what will happen to the development of Busan in 10 years' would be much better. The answer of "Yes" was much superior to the question "The future of Busan is bright." Only 13.2% of respondents said “No” to the question. However, the percentage of respondents who answered "normal" was 39.2%. Overall, respondents were still brightly looking at the future of Busan, even though they knew there were not many jobs. The responses to the questionnaire about safety and environment in Busan were mixed. While the rate of feeling safe about terrorism was not high, the risk for nuclear power plants, earthquakes and typhoons was felt to be higher. On the other hand, there were many negative perceptions in the environmental survey. Negative responses predominated in all environmental questions. Respondents were not satisfied with the air, water and cleaning of Busan. Busan's administrative and political questionnaires had many negative responses. Although respondents who were the first grade in college may have difficulty in responding to the survey, many responded to the decision, but in general, there were more negative responses in the questionnaires on politicians, administration, and public officials. Busan's traffic-related questionnaire was positive. Transportation routes, fare, and transportation. The results of the questionnaire on Busan's culture and arts, and whether Busan is a good city to live in, were positive. Students did not think that Busan's culture and arts level was low, and Busan was perceived as a beautiful and livable city. The recognition of students at Silla University is noteworthy because it is contrary to the general belief that Busan is a barren and not a good place for culture and arts. 부산출생자 212명에 대하여 설문조사를 분석한 결과 종교는 무교가 61.8%로 대부분을 점하는 가운데 불교 20.3%, 개신교 10.4%, 가톨릭 6.1%였다. 이러한 비율은 과거의 조사와 대체로 비슷하였다. 다만 불교의 비중이 과거의 조사에 비해 다소 낮았고 가톨릭의 비중은 높았다. 아빠의 고향은 부산이 53.3%, 경남이 29.7%로 압도적으로 부산/경남이 점하고 있었다. 대구/경북은 4.2%, 호남/제주는 4.7%였다. 엄마의 고향은 부산이 51.4%, 경남이 25%로 역시 부산/경남이 압도적인 비중을 점하고 있다. 부산의 발전과 미래에 대한 설문은 긍정적인 응답이 많았다. ‘10년후 부산의 발전이 어떻게 될 것인가’에 대한 설문에는 대부분 더 나아질 것이라고 응답을 하여 낙관적인 전망을 보였다. ‘부산의 미래는 밝은가’라는 설문에 대해서도 ‘그렇다’는 응답이 훨씬 우세하였다. ‘그렇지않다’는 응답은 13.2%에 불과하였다. 다만 ‘보통이다’는 응답비율이 39.2%로 상당히 높았다. 종합적으로 볼 때 응답자들은 일자리가 많이 없다는 것을 알고있음에도 불구하고 부산의 미래를 아직은 밝게 보고 있었다. 부산의 안전과 환경에 대한 설문 응답은 엇갈린 응답이 나왔다. 테러에 대해서는 안전하다고 느끼는 비율이 높았던 반면, 원전과 지진 그리고 태풍에 대해서는 그로 인한 위험을 더 크게 느끼는 것으로 나타났다. 한편 환경과 관련된 설문에서는 부정적인 인식이 많았다. 환경 관련 모든 문항에서 부정적인 응답이 우세하였다. 응답자들은 부산의 공기, 물, 청소 등이 좋지 않다고 판단 하고 있었다. 부산의 행정과 정치에 관한 설문은 부정적인 응답이 많았다. 대학 1학년이 주축인 응답자들에게는 다소 어려운 설문들일 수도 있어 판단을 유보한 응답이 많았지만 대체로 정치인과 행정 그리고 공무원 등에 관한 설문에서 모두 부정적인 응답이 더 많았다. 부산의 교통관련 설문은 긍정적이었다. 교통노선, 요금 그리고 교통수단간의 연계 등은 잘 되어 있는 것으로 인식하였다. 부산의 문화와 예술 그리고 부산이 살기좋은 도시인가 등에 관한 설문결과는 긍정적인 응답이 우세하였다. 학생들은 부산의 문화예술 수준이 낮다고 생각하지 않았으며 부산이 아름답고 살기좋은 도시로 인식하고 있었다. 이러한 신라대학교 재학생들의 인식은 일반적으로 부산이 문화예술의 불모지이고 아름답지 않다는 통념과는 반대되는 것이어서 주목된다. 이에 관해서는 좀 더 장기적으로 그리고 타대학 학생들의 설문과 비교하면서 그 의미를 이해해 보아야 할 것이다.

      • 초등학교와 중학교 과학 교과서의 화학 영역에 대한 연계성과 중학생들의 화학 개념에 대한 인식 분석

        제 6차 교육과정에 따른 초등학교와 중학교 과학 교과서의 화학 영역에 대한 연계성을 분석하고, 화학 개념에 대한 중학생들의 인식을 조사하여, 학습자 수준에 맞고 연계성 있는 과학 교과서 제작의 기초를 제공하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 초등학교와 중학교 과학과목의 교육목표와 화학 영역 내용체계간의 연계성을 분석하고, 화학 개념에 대한 중학생들의 인식을 조사하였다. 연구 결과, 제 6차 교육과정의 초등학교와 중학교 과학과 교육목표는 거의 반복 진술되어 있음을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 물질의 미시적 세계를 다루고 있는 물질의 구성 영역에서 초등학교와 중학교간의 단원별 목표와 내용체계의 간격이 다소 큰 것으로 보아 연계성이 부족하다는 것도 알 수 있었다. 그리고 연계성이 부족한 영역에 대해 학생들은 대체적으로 이해하기 어렵다는 반응을 보였으며, 연계성 있는 내용조직이 학생들의 내용 이해에 영향을 줄 수 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다. This study was to analyze the articulation between chemistry contents of science textbooks at elementary and middle school level, to survey students' perceptions on chemistry concepts, to establish guidelines for science textbooks that not only meet the needs of learners but also fit in a coherent way. In order to do this, we analyzed links of the aims and the organization of chemistry contents of elementary and middle school science textbooks, we also surveyed students' perceptions on chemistry concepts students had retained. The study revealed that the 6th middle school curriculum was almost a duplicate of the elementary school syllabus. And there was no interrelation between the organization of chemistry contents and the aim of the chapter which built up a logical picture of the world at a molecular level. It was also found that the lack of coherence between science textbooks in elementary and middle school was a major cause of student difficulty.

      • 인체 췌장암세포주(Capan-1)의 증식에 미치는 amiloride의 억제효과

        Background/Aims Cytoplasmic alkalinization induced by activation of the Na+/H+anti porter which is stimulated upon the addition of growth-promoting agents, such as insulin, epidermal growth factor, phorbol ester, plays an essential role in the initiation on cell proliferation. In the present study the effects of amiloride, a specific and reversible inhibitor of Na+/H+antiporter, on the growth of human pancreatic carcinoma cell line, Capan-1 cells was examined and the effects of 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) were also studied. Cell cycle analysis was done to examine the mechanisms for the inhibitory effects of amiloride. Materials/Methods The growth of Capan-1 cells were examined by counting cell number on two and four days treatment with 1 μM, 5 μM, 10 μM, 20 μM, 40 μM, 80 μM, 160 μM amiloride, and 0.1 ㎍/㎖, 0.3 ㎍/㎖ 5-FU, after plating Capan-1 cells into 35-mm2 plastic dishes at d density of 10x104 cells/dish. The reversibility of the effects of amiloride was examined on two day to eight days treatment with 20 μM amiloride after seeding 2×104 cells/dish. Cell cycle analysis was done on the sells after four days treatment with 20 μM amiloride. Results Amiloride significantly inhibited the growth of Capan-1 cells in a dose-dependent fashion (p<0.05). The inhibitary effect of amiloride on the growth of Capan -1 cells was firstly shown at the concentration of 5 μM, which is not so higher than the concentration of 0.1-0.2 μM attainable by administration of usual dose of amiloride (5-10㎎). Forty-eight percent inhibition of growth was found at an amiloride concentration of 20μM after 4 days treatment, and ninety-three percent inhibition of growth was found at an amiloride concentration of 160μM after 4 days treatment. The inhibitory effect of amiloride on growth of Capan-1 cells was reversible since removal of amiloride by a media change after 48 hours treatment lead to significantly more growth than amiloride treated group (p<0.05). The reversibility of growth inhibition suggests that amiloride in not a non-specific cytotoxin for Capan-1 cells. Amiloride combined with 5-FU significantly inhibited the growth of Capan-1 cells in a dose-dependent fashion compared to an amiloride or a 5-FU alone (p<0.05). After four days treatment with 20 μM amiloride, the faction of cells in G0-G1 phase, S phase and G2-M phase was 47.3%, 35.8%, 16.9% respectively in the amiloride group (20 μM), and 44.3%, 37.1%, 18.6% in the control group. showing no significant differences between the two groups. Conclusions Amiloride significantly inhibited the growth of Capan-1 cells in a dose-dependent fashion, which was reversible. The reversibility of growth inhibition suggests that amiloride is not a non-specific cytotoxin for Capan-1 cells. The concentration of 5 μM, which is not so higher than the concentration of 0.1-0.2 μM attainable by administration of usual dose of amiloride (5-10㎎), which suggests amiloride or its analogues may be used alone or in conjunction with 5-FU for the treatment of pancreatic carcinoma. Further study is needed to clarify the effects of more potent analogues of amiloride on the growth of human pancreatic carcinoma cells.

        In the present study, the synthesis of phenoxy methyl ethylene carbonate (PMEC) from carbon dioxide and phenyl glycidyl ether(PGE) was investingated using mesoporous chloropropyl-methyl-MCM-41-supported quaternary ammonium salt catalysts. The influence of the amounl of modifier and quaternary ammonium salt structure on the conversion of PGE was discussed. The MCM-41-immobilized quaternary ammonium salts showed good catalytic activity even at the atmospheric pressure of carbon dioxide, and it could be reused with easy seperation.

      • 구형 스크린을 이용한 준몰입형 VR 시스템 개발

        The virtual reality technology has been developed as the computer and computer graphic technology are progressed. However it has stall the limits of the use because of it costs a great for system construction. A virtual reality technology is the best application example to reduce time and coat of development in engineering. Actually, VR(Virtual reality) technology has given engineers the ability to design, test and evaluate engineering systems in a virtual environment. The objective of this paper is to construct the arm mounted display VR system by using 3 channel spherical screen and to show its capabilities of an engineering system development. This paper describes the development of arm mounted display VR system with 3 channel spherical screen system and the generation of 3 channel graphic modules. The arm mounted display VR system provides a highly economial efficiency because of it uses a popular computer system as a graphic server.

      • 쌍태아에서 제 1태아의 분만 후 제 2태아의 지연분만 : 중례보고

        With the widespread use of fertility medications and techniques of in vitro fertilization, multiple gestation has become epidemic in modern obstetric practice. Delivery of the initial fetus in a multiple gestation usually is followed by delivery of the subsequent fetus or fetuses shortly thereafter. However in rare circumstances, the delivery is delayed for days due to disappearance of uterine contraction after delivery of the first fetus. When uterine activity ceases after the delivery of the first neonate, a policy of nonintervention may be considered in case of an immature or very premature delivery, in order to achieve a gestational age for the remaining fetus(es) more compatible with neonatal survival. We report a case of twin gestation with prolongation of the delivery interval between the twins for 46 days.

      • 좌측흉수로 발현된 Boerhaave 증후군 1예

        구토 후 발생한 토혈을 주소로 내원한 환자에서 좌측 늑막 삼출 동반 시 식도 파열의 가능성을 고려하여 흉수 천자 및 지속적인 흉부 단순 촬영의 추적관찰이 필요하며 식도 파열이 배제된 후 환자의 생체 징후 및 토혈 양을 파악하여 내시경 검사 시기를 신중히 결정하는 것이 좋을 것으로 생각된다. 본 증례는 토혈을 주소로 내원하여 Mallory-Weiss 증후군 의심 하에 내시경을 통한 치료 시행 후 추적 관찰에 의해 진단된 Boerhaave 증후군을 경험하였기에 보고하는 바이다. Boerhaave's syndrome is a spontaneous perforation of the esophagus most commonly resulting from a sudden increase in intraesophageal pressure combined with negative intrathoracic pressure caused by straining or vomiting. Surgery should generally be performed within 24 hours because mortality approached 30 to 50 percent in which surgery was delayed. Therefore, early diagnosis and prompt surgical repair are critical for survival. We have experienced a case of Boerhaave's syndrome in a patient presenting with hematemesis with left pleural effusion without any signs or symptoms of pneumomediastinum or pneumothorax.
